    falconpaw : the masked

Falconpaw nodded quietly, digesting the information on Morningfrost. On the subject of the deceased she-cat, what about the new deputy? Falconpaw's mind wandered a little as the medicine cat checked over the bush. She seemed a little surprised to see the bush, which made the brown tabby apprentice feel quite proud of herself. Maybe you're not so bad after all, she commented to herself. "Grab a few stems and be careful not to pull them out by the roots," The med-cat suddenly piped up, and Falconpaw was happy to oblige. She grabbed as many stems as she felt comfortable with and gently picked them, making sure the roots stayed right where they were. After grabbing a bunch, she twirled her tail in a "I'm ready to go!" fashion, and stood up straight. Boy, do these taste funny. Falconpaw thought. Ah! They're making me drool! "Lesh oh liwlle shtep." The apprenticed attempted at a sentence. She tried to say, Let's go, Littlestep! But it just came out as a mash up of vowels and drool. These taste so WEIRD.

LIONPAW
the reckless
tom ;; ten moons ;; apprentice

The dawn light filtered through a gap in the den ceiling, shining onto his thick golden fur. Groaning, the young tom tightened his growing frame into a tight ball so his plumy tail covered his eyes. He didn't want to get up today; Orangefury had trained him all day yesterday, repeatedly attacking and defending from each other until he thought his paws would fall off. His muscles were still emitting a dull throbbing even after a night of deep slumber. But then his large, tufted ears pricked when he remembered something. My kittypet mother. They'll all insult me if I show weakness. It didn't matter that his father had been a clanborn warrior, for he had taken a kittypet as his mate and then left the Clan when Lionpaw was three moons old. Traitor The apprentice hissed silently and uncurled his body, lashing his tail and sinking his claws into his mossy nest in anger. Ever since he joined PineClan as a tiny newborn kit his supposed clanmates had muttered insults and taunted him mercilessly. Shaking out his fur to free the strands of moss and bracken, Lionpaw rasped his rough pink tongue over the tufts on his chest to flatten them. With his pelt now silky smooth (apart from the ruff around his neck) Lionpaw shouldered his way out of the den and out into the camp. His hazel optics darted around camp as he searched for the calico pelt of his mentor.

Amber eyes sharpened at the appearance of his ginger apprentice and his tail thumped once, twice on the ground as the tortoiseshell considered whether he should approach the young tom. Orangefury had no idea where he stood with Lionpaw. The ginger tabby was not a purebred clancat and many cats seem to view him as an unremovable stain to their clan history. However the warrior held little interest in the past of cats and found that he was not that bothered by Lionpaw. His mixed heritage was not what had the tortie feeling so uncertain around his apprentice but rather it was the fact that he's a tom that irked Orangefury. Where was the fun in mentoring one own's gender? Why couldn't he be mentoring Fogpaw, Falconpaw, Fernpaw or Rainpaw? But a tom?!

The handsome warrior sighed again, tail thumping loudly on the ground, reflecting his building ire. Oh he didn't have a problem with Lionpaw in general. He's a great apprentice, one that's eager to learn and desperate to prove himself through his achievements - definitely an apprentice any warrior would want to mentor. But his gender... He sighed. Where was the fun in that?

He could see his apprentice looking for him - no doubt trying to immerse himself in training once more to prove himself. Sometimes the young tom seems to have forgotten that his mentor was also a living, breathing cat. Though Orangefury appreciated Lionpaw's great determination it was taxing to the warrior who still had other duties to attend after training.

His paws carried him over to the young tom and he greeted the tabby with a soft meow. "Morning Lionpaw, slept well?" Amber eyes glanced at Lionpaw's neatly groomed fur and smiled approvingly. Orangefury always liked to keep himself neatly groomed as she-cats hate a ruffled looking tom and though Lionpaw's motive behind his grooming would be much, much more innocent and simple, the warrior always appreciated any tom that have the decency to make themselves look good before facing the world. "Go grab something to eat first, then we'll see what you're up for today." he smiled and his tail gestured weakly at the fresh-kill pile.

LIONPAW
the reckless
tom ;; ten moons ;; apprentice

The ginger tom looked up as white paws invaded his vision and Orangefury appeared before him. He was a good mentor, strong and experienced, although his absolutely impish habit of flirting with every single she-cat he saw was highly annoying and sometimes it grated fiercely on Lionpaw's nerves. He just wanted to train, to prove that he had not inherited any kittypet softness from his mother, to prove that he was a loyal tom who would do anything for those he held dear. Orangefury himself came under this category, for despite his highly flirtatious nature, the younger tom saw his mentor as an older brother of sorts, with a mixture of respect as, after all, the warrior was his mentor.

His face brightened a little as his mentor spoke, although he shook his head. "I suppose so, but my legs still ache from yesterday," conscious that he could seem like he was moaning, or weak, he hastily added, "but it won't stop me. Warriors have to work past their pain and continue serving their Clan." Kneading his white paws on the ground, Lionpaw dipped his head as Orangefury flicked his tail to the fresh-kill pile. He had not eaten last night after his long day of training, and his stomach rumbled at the thought of sustenance. Getting to his paws, he loped over to the pile and picked out a vole, one of his favourite things to eat. Licking his lips, the apprentice crouched and began to eat.

snakeheart

╔════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗

The brown tabby woke, opening his eyes into slits as he sensed movement in the den. Of course, cats were beginning to wake up now, and await for Finchstar to organise the patrols. He yawned, slowly sitting up, and he looked around the den. He could say that most, if not, all, of the warriors had awoken and were up. He rolled his eyes, not making a sound, and he shook his pelt. Without even getting on all four paws, he began to groom his pelt. He liked grooming his pelt in the den rather then outside, as some cats who didn't groom their fur in the den came out and sometimes looks hilarious. Not that it amused this cold-hearted tom, anyway. When he finished grooming his fur, he got on all fours and made his way out of the den, after other warriors who had already awoken, and he glanced around camp. Cats were sitting by themselves, grooming their pelts, or they sat in pairs or small groups, taking or just sitting there. The tom blinked his eyes, spotting Antbite, his sister. Even if the two were littermates, he payed no attention to the she-cat, but she was one of the cats he could tolerate, but only barely. The other cat he could tolerate was his friend, Ravencry. The two had a thing in common - the two liked to sit in silence. Snakeheart then wondered when Finchstar would announce patrols. If he was put on one, at least he'd have something to do. He didn't want to be stuck in camp.

morningrain

╔════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗

The pale coloured she-cat had been awake for a few minutes now, being awoken by some warriors moving around. She was grooming her pelt, as she had been too tired to move outside as soon as she woke up. But now, with a final lick on her paw, she was ready, and she made her way outside the den. Glancing around camp, looking at all the cats who were awake, she spotted her apprentice, Rainpaw. She thought about going over to her apprentice, but then stopped herself. She would give her apprentice time to herself, or with another apprentice, if she wanted, or she could come straight over to Morningrain herself. With a flick of an ear, she also saw Orangefury and Lionpaw talking. Lionpaw had a kittypet mother, and a Clan father, Morningrain could tell that he was doing his best to prove he was loyal, and that he didn't want to seem weak to the others. She didn't mind about his parents, as there were other cats with kittypet blood too, in the Clan. And you have to think, warriors didn't just fall from the sky, the original Clans were made from loners, kittypets and rouges, and some cats might distantly related to them, meaning that even if they were born in the Clan, or had parents who were born in the Clan, it didn't mean they had full Clan blood.

╔════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗

The silvery grey tabby tom was awoken as a voice filled the den, a familiar one, and his green orbs opened from their slumber. The voice belonged to his mentor, Ivyvine. The warrior wanted to wake up. With a yawn, Frostpaw got to his paws, stretching, and he glanced around. It seemed most of the apprentices had already awoken, but one of the apprentices still asleep happened to be his brother, Leafpaw. He sighed, and then he prodded the pale orange tabby in the side. Leafpaw didn't wake, instead, he rolled over, swatting his paws at Frostpaw in his sleep before going still again, the only thing moving was his chest, rising and falling as he inhaled and exhaled. The apprentice then decided to let his brother sleep, Birdsong could wake him when they were sorted on a patrol, or, if they didn't go on a patrol, she could wake him when she wanted to take him training. Frostpaw then made his way to the entrance of the den, his mentor at was at the entrance, his head in the den, and the fluffy tabby tom slipped past his mentor. "Good morning, Ivyvine." He meowed, greeting his mentor. He was a nervous tom at times, sure, but he would still say hello to his mentor, and use his manners.
╚════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝

locket

╔════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗

The white bengal continued to walk, her paws aching. She had been walking all day yesterday, and all night, just to get away from her mate, or rather, former mate. The tom had threatened to kill her and her unborn kits, and she couldn't stand to stay with him any longer, so two nights ago she had ran away, and she hadn't stopped once. She was sore, tired, and hungry. She hadn't even eaten in a few days. But she couldn't hunt here, the expecting she-cat knew this was Clan territory, and if she caught something they would find out and then find her. The she-cat just had to hope they wouldn't find her anyway. The Clan fasinated her, but she needed to learn more about it before deciding if she wanted the join. Locket then scented the air, making sure she wasn't being followed, before she spotted a den, abandoned, and she bounded over to it. It smelt like fox, but she didn't care, she needed somewhere to rest. The fox scent was stale anyway, and the loner went inside the den, lying down and sighing in relief as she got off her sore paws.

He heaved a silent sigh of relief when it seems like Lionpaw would be too tired - despite his valiant attempt to act otherwise - for any strenuous activities this morning. "Yes, yes." he all but flicked his tail casually at Lionpaw's flimsy cover-up and decided the tom would need some lessons on what it really means to be a true warrior later on. It didn't mean work-you-and-your-mentor-to-the-ground but rather making sure the clan lives on through more kittens. Something along the lines of that. He'll have to double-check. He blinked his amber eyes as he returned to reality watching his apprentice bound off to the fresh-kill pile and fill his belly with a morning meal. Seeing that it'll take some time before Lionpaw finishes his meal (or at least he hoped he will eat slowly - wouldn't want that poor tom to choke on those bones now would he? *cough* *cough*) the tortoiseshell turned around to find someone to keep him company for now.

Amber eyes locked onto his victim and the handsome tom swayed towards the pale she-cat. "My, my, Morningrain. Good morning to you my pretty denmate. You must be one hell of a thief because you stole my heart from across the camp." he purred, his flirtatious ways leaping up and taking control.

Frostpaw broke free into the morning light and the new hustle and bustle of the camp, at last Ivyvine could wriggle backward, freeing himself from the entanglement of limbs and stances that had led him to wake his apprentice. He proffered an uneasy grin, an attempt at returning Frostpaw's gentle manners. How fitting that two shy, reserved cats should be left with one another, as if by being shoved into the others orbit a half-decent warrior might just be scraped together from their personalities. "D-do you want to do some hunting practise or, uh, um, we could, uh, battle, um, train," Ivyvine was whispering the options as he snuck away from the entrance, gesturing for Frostpaw to follow him to one side, away from the activity of their clanmates. "We might have to do a patrol first," the patrols had yet to be decided, the schedual was all over the place, not that Ivyvine minded; the deputy had passed away in the night, it would take a while for normality to settle in.

Her talons pierced the veil of dirt beneath her paws, her lanterns lifting to study the complexion of her leader's flaming pelt. She didn't envy Finchstar, it must be so lonely, to be leader. To know your nine lives would see you outlive friends, family, even foes. How could it feel, the weight of the world on your shoulders? "He'll be remembered though," the words slipped onto her tongue like a tail around shoulders; comforting, pressing. She didn't dare make contact between their bodies, instead she bowed her head, as if knowing she had intruded too far into business she did belong. "Pardon, I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable," she flicked her lobos curiously, the camp had grown busy with life while they'd sat talking. "I've kept you from your duty, sorry Finchstar. Will you be needing me on a patrol?" She partly hoped he wouldn't so she could catch some rest until noon-high but she was aware that the impeding season of leaf-bare was nearly upon them. All claws would be needed if the clan intended on making it through; mouths didn't always feed themselves after all.

She-Cat
22 Moons(1 Years 10 Months)

The calico she-cat finished her face washing and let out a soft sigh as she glanced around camp again. Seeing as nothing to important was happening yet she began fixing the fur near her tail, then she moved to the fur at her chest. After grooming and rearranging her fur as best she could she got up and walked toward on the of trees in camp. She stretched herself up and used the tree to sharpen her claws. A bird flew by just then, a song twittering through it's beak. She watched it and felt her stomach tighten with hunger. She ignored it though not even daring to glance at the fresh kill pile. As much as she was hungry she knew she couldn't eat. BirdSong watched the bird land on a tree branch and start it's song again. Unable to resist she let out a soft meow, it came out like that of a song bird in the trees, a sweet light sound only herd by her and the bird. It looked down at her and hopped down a branch before letting out another tweet. BirdSong again let out her strange meow and the bird hoped down again. Of course she wouldn't catch this bird, well not yet anyway. The bird seemed to realize it was being played and flew off with a much angrier song then before. BirdsSong chuckled to herself and turned around to watch camp. She really had a nice view here and should anyone need her, which she doubted, but should anyone need her she would be in fairly easy site. She watched amused as OrangeFury seemed to be flirting with MorningRain. Then her gaze traveled to that of some mentors with their apprentices before coming to rest near the medicine cat den, the place she had first woken up in when she came to this clan. She had been 5 moons old then. She let out a soft sigh as she recalled that day so long ago and her thoughts drifted to her family and her old clan.

      dawnflight

      ᴍᴏᴏᴅ: calm, curious.ᴡʜᴇʀᴇ: campᴡɪᴛʜ: -

Just like any other day, the ginger she-cats eyes continued to observe the clan from the ground. Most warriors that had an appointed apprentice were already out and about; that brought a smile on the she-cats muzzle. She didn't mind not having an apprentice, in fact she was glad that she's not super responsible for a younger cat whilst still getting used to the fact that she didn't have a mentor anymore.
After a few heartbeats of thinking about that, numbness spread through DawnFlight's body. Right then, for a few seconds the she-cat was re-living the frantic pain and panic that she felt whilst barely being an apprentice, but it didn't take long for her to snap out of it. When the pain was beginning to surface again, she was even more desperate to be in the middle of a group, so it was almost unbearable for her to wait for the future patrols without screeching.

      greystripe

      ᴍᴏᴏᴅ: sleepyᴡʜᴇʀᴇ: campᴡɪᴛʜ: snakeheart

The tabby warrior's sleep wasn't full of dreams. It wasn't full of nightmares either; everything was blank. He was in the middle of nowhere with no time passing by. At first it made Greystripe quite peaceful, but after having the dream 4 times in a row it made him feel like a cornered mouse.
As soon as he smoothed down his fur and followed Snakeheart outside, he made up his mind to go and see whether Littlestep was already up. Maybe he could get something to calm him down ?
After taking in a deep breath to clear his mind, the care-free tom turned his his head over to the dark tabby tom.
Mornin' Snakeheart. Just like always, Greystripe's tone was cheery and rather bubbly.

      way for greystripe to ruin snakehearts day x3 // dawnflight is open if anybody feels like bumping into her c:. ;;
