"That bad eh?" Pity swelled in the female's chest as she swept her gaze across to Owlpaw, the apprentice was gorgeous and talented but handicapped, Batclaw was well aware of Longwhisker's dismay at having been assigned the feline as an apprentice. Even so, she didn't refer to the status of the training, rather to his lack of slumber. "The den is a little crowded, not that the extra-warmth goes amiss!" The rugged mountains hung with fragile ice at night, the femme fatale sought the escaping sauna of her den-mates in the cloak of darkness, least she freeze by dawn. "Perhaps you should ask Robinleaf for some poppyseed? What is it that troubles you?" Before her friend could slip an answer in return, Ivyvine, her own blood, was pushing himself upright. She beamed at his retreating figure, he was quite right. "Sir grump-a-lot has a point, oi, Owlpaw, Fernpaw! We're going!" Gently thumping her tail into Longwhisker's side, Batclaw picked herself up and trundled after Ivyvine, her step wrung with bounces.

The blunt lad gave an appreciative nod of his skull, they weren't on a hunting patrol but Fernpaw and Owlpaw could do with the additional practise, besides which, Ivyvine was eager to see his first apprentice excel. The more practise she got, the better. As they sat dithering in the growing morning air, Ivyvine found himself restless to be off. He shifted his cranium to face Longwhisker, anxious to be moving. Batclaw and Longwhisker sat chatting as if they had all the time in the world to spare, his lenses narrowed suspiciously. The boarder wouldn't defend itself. "We should go," mewed he, by way of reply to their chorus of chatter. He swung his dome around to spot Fernpaw and Owlpaw nattering by the food pile, Batclaw called for them before he could. All he had to do was wait by the entrance, eyes glittering as he thought up challenges for Fernpaw.

appearance: blackpaw is a rather average she-cat,
with both average height and weight for a female her age.
not overtly feminine, the apprentice tends to have a rather
tomboyish appearance, and is often mistaken for a male when
first looked upon. her pelt is pitch black, giving no wonder as
to the reasoning behind her -in her personal opinion- rather
unappealing name. her fur is of medium length, fitting some-what
gracefully over her lithely muscled frame with long and powerful limbs,
it's quite apparent that this she-cat was built for running, jumping,
and hunting, and her strength often comes as a shock to those that
haven't witnessed her in battle, real or play, before. blackpaw's most
alluring feature is by far her bright yellow eyes, standing out in stark
contrast against her dark coloring and modest appearance.

personality: despite her unassuming appearance blackpaw
has a mean streak and is not one to take anything from anyone.
an overly sensitive individual, the female is highly unable to tell
when an individual is joking or serious, and generally takes things
to heart. she's the kind of individual that takes things at face-value,
and often doesn't try to sort out other possibilities or reasoning.
stubborn and hard-headed, blackpaw has never been the kind of
female that takes no for an answer, and will never back down from a
challenge. blunt and often thoughtless, there seems to be no filter
between the apprentice's brain and tongue. she says the first thing
that comes to her mind, whether it may be hurtful or not.

history: blackpaw was born to two pure-blooded clan-cats,
wolfshadow and nightwing. the she-cat never really mourned the loss
of her mother, who died shortly after she was born, but learned to
miss the other female from stories that her father told her. growing
up, blackpaw was extremely close to wolfshadow, almost always within
the company of her father. this changed, though, when wolfshadow was
killed by a rogue band of foxes when the young apprentice was a mere
five moons. with the loss of her father still fresh within her mind,
blackpaw has become increasingly closed off and quiet when in the
presence of others, often refusing to talk unless she absolutely must.
despite her changed nature, the female works herself as hard as she
possibly can in aspects of both hunting and fighting, hoping that she will
make the memory of her father proud should he be watching over her
from the stars.

name: ghostkit » ghostpaw » ghostlight
age: nineteen moons
gender: female
rank » wanted: warrior » n/a
apprentice: ---
crush: open

appearance: ghostlight is quite the specimen. the
female has been graced with an overtly feminine structure
equipped with a petite form and almost delicate face. fur
the color of freshly fallen snow covers the she-cat from head
to toe, lengthening further along her tail. ghostlight has an
exquisite face, her bone structure finely pointed pointed face
it's hard-pressed to not find her pleasurable to gaze upon.
the she-cat moves with an air of grace, her small, dainty
paws carrying her forward in confidence. funnily enough
ghostlight happens to be one of the smallest cats of the
clan, reaching barely up to the shoulder of an average-sized
full-grown female, which leaves the males of the clan
towering above her. this only seems to add more to her
appeal, though, and ghostlight has never been one to
be ashamed of her demure height. like her fur, the
she-cat's eyes seem to be colorless, but upon closer
inspection they can be defined as a pale silver-grey.
built for stealth and speed, ghostlight has barely any
musculature on her small form, leaving her to rely on
anything but muscle in battle.

personality: as soft as her appearance, ghostlight is an
exceptionally quiet individual. in fact, it often comes as a
surprise to hear the she-cat speak in long drawn-out sentences.
pleasant and kind, ghostlight had never had a true mean streak,
and instead prefers to settle disputes with words. still, if anyone
is pushed enough they're liable to snap, and this female is no
exception. when her irritation is severely piqued, ghostlight
brings her sharp, cutting tongue into play and despite her
kind disposition, she seems to have no qualms about cutting
and individual down a notch or two if they deserve it.

history: ghostlight was born as ghostkit, a quiet female
with a saucy attitude. as a kit, she would often
follow her older brother, ospreykit around, doing
everything he did and more. when made into
apprentices ghost and osprey were nearly inseparable,
until osprey came up missing one day and was never
heard from again. for a long time, ghost was sad over
the loss of her brother, but she eventually moved on.
when made into a warrior, ghostpaw received the name
ghostlight, and as she matured she began to really grow
into herself. instead of a tiny, kit-size apprentice, the female
made a dramatic change in a small, but beautiful she-cat.
ghostlight has become widely known for her kind nature
and quick wit, and as a somewhat newer warrior of the
clan not much has happened, but she wonders if that may
change in the near, or distant, future.

ghostlight was typically an early riser, but having been on a late-night stroll the she-cat found herself waking up much later than she usually did. peeking out into the main area of the clan's camp, she couldn't help but wince slightly as she realized just how late she had truly woken up. the petite white female glanced toward the mouth of the cavern, noting how much light was filtering through and deciding that she might be able to make a later patrol since the one gathered looked quite full and ready to leave. with nothing else to do, the white-furred warrior made her way to a somewhat secluded part of the cavern, settling down there to doze in the filtered sunlight before she absolutely had to get up and begin the days work.

blackpaw had woken up late, again. not that she cared a lick, but she might as well try to be an asset to the clan at some point. grumbling about nothing in general, the pitch black she-cat glanced around, her startlingly bright yellow eyes landing on hawkthunder and what seemed to be a patrol. without another thought, she padded over, going straight for the green-eyed tabby tom. once she was by him, the black apprentice took little note of the other gathered cats, figuring that the senior warrior would be the one leading the patrol, since that was generally how such things were done. blackpaw swallowed once, squared her shoulders, and locked eyes with the warrior. "hawkthunder? is it okay with you if i join in on the patrol?" deep down, the generally cold apprentice hoped that he would say yes, though she told herself that if the answer was no, she would mask any and all disappointment as she normally did.

F a w n h e a r t
Apprentice: Bronzepaw
Nervous about the patrol.
About to leave camp.

Tags: Hawkthunder, Blackpaw, Bronzepaw, Lionpaw, Nightstar

Fawnheart's ears fell back in embarrassment and she flicked her tail nervously. Hawkthunder's words hit her core and she wanted to bury her muzzle in his shoulder fur in gratitude. The older warrior was respected and she had her doubts that he'd be okay with the younger warrior being so.. affectionate. She took his advice though and nodded, "Alright. The edge of the forest, right before where the land turns to stone and falls away.." she spoke mostly to herself, loud enough that Hawkthunder could hear and approve or disapprove. She opened her mouth to speak again, but Blackpaw had shown up and was addressing Hawkthunder. Her ears instantly fell in more embarrassment, but this time it was an entirely different form of the emotion. Blackpaw addressed Hawkthunder directly, as if he was leading the patrol. She coughed and nodded at Hawkthunder before turning to Lionpaw, "You have my permission to hit Bronzepaw a little harder then normal if a mock fight does occur." She purred, knowing Hawkthunder and her own apprentice rarely got along. Turning she spotted Bronzepaw and flicked her tail toward him, "You ready to leave?" She began to head toward the camp entrance, "But first find Nightstar and see if she's ready to leave as well!"

I swear, if it wasn't weird (due to crazy different ages) I'd definitely send Fawnheart after Hawkthunder with a little crush.))

Nodding at Fawnheart's decision about where to make their hunting site, the russet tabby's attention was drawn to a inky black pelt which belonged to Blackpaw. His fur pricked when she asked him whether or not she was able to join the patrol. Casting a quick glance at Fawnheart, guilt seemed to clasp his chest even though he hadn't done anything. Loosening up his muscles, he gazed back at Blackpaw cooly. "You should be asking the head of patrol that question." He purred, motioning towards Fawnheart who had already started to the clan entrance. "Better make it quick." He added as he bounded to catch up with the younger she-cat, flicking his tail on Lionpaw's shoulder to tell him that they were leaving. Pausing when she told Bronzepaw to get Nightstar, he glanced back to see that their leader was aware of their departure. "Should we wait?" He asked Fawnheart, the tip of his tail twitching in slight impatience, the fresh-kill pile needed restocking and his clan needed to be fed.

with hawkthunder staring at her with his cool bright green eyes, the young apprentice couldn't help but shift apprehensively from paw to paw. and when he told her that she'd asked the wrong cat? well, she couldn't seem to stop the heated embarrassment that rose beneath her inky black fur. ducking her head, blackpaw watched from the corner of her eye as he motioned to another of the warriors. fawnheart? the warrior was a young one, and the apprentice frowned lightly, wondering if this was some sort of cruel joke, but swiftly over-ruled this idea, as the senior warrior wouldn't be one to play a prank on her. clearing her throat, blackpaw quickened her pace as she bounded over to fawnheart, getting to the she-cat's side just in time to hear her tell lionpaw that he had her permission to hit bronzepaw harder if the tom started another scuffle. blackpaw couldn't help the small laugh that escaped her, but she hoped that the throat-clearing and coughing that happened soon after would mask the sound. coming round to the front of the other female, the youth blinked, feeling rather awkward due to her earlier mistake. "fawnheart? hawkthunder told me to ask you if it was okay that i joined your patrol. so uh, is it?" the question was finished rather lamely, and blackpaw shuffled a bit, itching to go out into the forest and do something for once.

-- Excuse my extended absence, I had a bit of a blip in my personal life, but I will be able to post for Nightstar momentarily. As well, who is Blackpaw's mentor? Just curious, because I had a plot bunny. XD Blackpaw could have been the now former deputies apprentice or something. Just an idea. XD --

BʀᴏɴᴢᴇPᴀᴡ

||9 moons old | ♂ | Warrior's Apprentice | Taken aback by Lionpaw and getting Nightstar ||
  • The apprentice's hair shot up like a bird getting away from a predator. His entire tail had bristled and curled into a low arch as a result to Lionpaw sizing him up. BronzePaw responded to this by slinking down into a crouch. He watched from below with dilated eyes as his snarling den-mate towered over him. The tabby scooted back a few kit lengths in his crouch, making space between him and the raging tom. He wasn’t going to be so close to a potential threat. He kept all of his attention focused on the cat who seemed liked he had just about enough of him for the day. Bronzepaw only broke his gaze to nervously glance around every now and then. When the sound of claws scrapping rock met his sideways ears was when he was truly beginning to feel apprehensive about the situation he was in. Even though the feline usually clawed at Lionpaw's temper, he was most likely always prepared for the back lash that always came with it. This time however, Bronzepaw was not prepared or expecting for Lionpaw to get his fur in a bunch enough to maybe rip his ears off. Why would he get so mad at a simple statement? Guilt ran through him from head to toe as the answer popped up. Of course he would get mad over him making a flimsy comment about acting like one of those twoleg toys. How could he have forgotten about all the teasing over his kittypet and traitorous parents? A quick heat of remorse ran through him. It was best to try and say sorry now. He parted his mouth to do so, but before a word even begun to form, Lionpaw whipped around. Bronzepaw flattened ears perked at this. He was so sure the next movement that cat was going to make was one to tear his face off. The feline raised up, his clover gaze watching the golden tabby stalk away. He sighed, anxiety still crawling all over him. As soon as they engaged in battle practice Lionpaw would get his satisfaction in pounding him into the ground, he was sure of it. He looked over to where Lionpaw had stormed off too. Bronzepaw could try again with an apology if it didn’t even feel more awkward now that he was gone. Plus, he was pretty sure Lionpaw wasn't ready to hear him speak for another moon. Bronzepaw basically jumped up to his paws when he hear Fawnheart call him. “Yes, I’m ready.” He meowed in reply to her. He listened to the rest of his mentor’s sentence before nodding again. Once again was he starting to feel like his excited self. He’d rather not dawn anymore on what had happened. “Gotcha.” With that quick meow, he raced off. He bounded for a few cat lengths, the series of dens claimed by the Medicine. Cat den not being far away. He slowed down into a jog before slipping into the middle den. The sweet smell of ivy infiltrated his nose. He kneaded the earth with his paws slightly. The sand was as soft as ever. The tom held back his purr and focused on why he was here in the first place. “Sorry to interrupt, but Nightstar the hunting patrol is ready to set out.

■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

LᴏɴɢWʜɪsᴋᴇʀ

||50 moons old | ♂ | Warrior | Preparing to leave the camp ||
  • He flicked his ear at her comment about the warmth of the den. It was true the den got a little crowded, but the warmth of all the cats would be vital as the days grew colder. It would be something a cat would look forward to after hunting scrawny prey in the snow. “That is very true,” He nodded wearily in agreement. “The nights will be warm but that won’t stop others from kicking you in your sleep.” The elder tom could be fatter than any cat if he had a mouse for every time he was abruptly awoken by a paw to the face. From kit to warrior had he been pushed out of his nest and rolled on. It was ridiculous how often it happened as well. Being forced out of your own nest and onto the icy granite floor was a horrid way to sleep. But what was he to do when the cat that took over your bed was too far in their slumber to even bother to hear you? He snorted at those memories. At least these rude awakenings had stopped, but now lumpy bedding had emerged. He listened to what else Batclaw had to say. The she-cat gave great advice. Longwhisker had not thought to ask for poppy seeds. He didn’t even know they worked for sleeping issues. All this time he had gone on thinking they were for pain. The Abyssinian tried to thank the sharp mary for her advice but her brother intervened. He twitched his whiskers. He supposed they had wasted enough time dilly-dattling. When the tom was just about to get up a tail hit him in the side with a gentle thump. His eyes swerved back to Batclaw. Even she seemed ready to go now. He groggily got back to his paws. “I wish I could be a kit just to laze around once again.” The words faded into a yawn. He was definitely going to give those poppy seeds a try if it meant not dragging in the morning. “Owlpaw we don’t have all day.

A calm and cooling motion
It's shaking off my tension
Surprise, surprise
It's called being alive

The answers to my questions
Repeating; Have I mentioned
I lied? Don't like the way I'm being tried

It's not about the money
But the world doesn't agree
A bribe, a lie, a trick
We'll hide the truth
And they won't see
As long as you have changed your mind
Your soul belongs to me
We have got no pride
And no honor to be seen

"A little; just a little"
A lie or just a riddle?
Appeal, I feel
But only if it's real

Picture perfect mutilation;
Bright to black with no hesitation.
All the right shades on the wrong page,
Make up this colorful mind of mine.

Soothing brush strokes, scraping paint.
Loosen your grip before it all fades.
Vibrant rays, eclipsed by the haze,
Make up your colorful mind
Much less colorful

Will this be another day of night in here?
The knife's not sharp enough to fear.
If I ever see you in white
Try to stay.
The room's not light for a gray.

Nightstar
|| She-cat || Leader || No Crush || 34 Moons || Tags; Fawnheart, Hawkthunder, Brozepaw, Lionpaw, Blackpaw, Robinleaf ||

Nightstar watched Robinleaf with a cocked head as she came out of the medicine den. Looking over at the patrol's, she was able to note that it seemed as if they we\ere all getting ready to go. Looking over at the medicine cat, she dipped her head to her respectfully, before backing up a little bit. "I am afraid we will have to call raincheck on sharing prey this morning, it seems as if the patrols are up and ready to go. Which begs the question, where on earth is my deputy?" She grumbled good naturedly, when Bronzepaw bounded up. Ever respectful, the apprentice waited a moment before informing the black leader that the patrol was ready to leave. Nightstar gave a soft nod, before purring out a "thank you." Turning, she looked at Robinleaf. "I will send an apprentice to help you collect the dandelions." With that, she walked away, over to were the group waited for her. As she sat, she noticed Blackpaw had joined them as well. Nodding to Fawnheart, she turned to the only apprentice who was here without a mentor. "Blackpaw, would you do me a favor, and go help Robinleaf today? She asked me if she could use an apprentice today, and I agreed." She didn't want to be rude, and say it was because the apprentice didn't have her mentor here, because that was mostly wrong anyway. Blackpaw was a wonderful apprentice, so she was sure that she would be willing to work hard with Robinleaf as well, until the medicine cat herself took on an apprentice. Turning to Fawnheart, she smiled. "Apologies for my tardiness. Whenever you are ready."
