In the territories of the four clans arguments had been set alight. The clans were becoming more like bands of rouges and a series of cats from each clan disagreed with the change of law. Lets go back, back to the gathering when the cats separated.
Flamestars sleek fire red pelt glowed slightly in the chill white light of the full moon, behind him was the rest of his clan. Riverclan. His swimming pace quickened as the island came into sight. He and his clan-mates slid out of the water fur sleek and soaking. The other four leaders had arrived with their clans. Pinestar, the dark brown thunderclan leader his amber eyes fixed on the emerging clan. Silverstar, the pretty silver windclan leader with her bright turquoise eyes scanning all the cats in front of her. Finally there was Badgerstar, a giant black tom, yellow eyes and also the formidable leader of shadowclan. "You're Late Flamestar!" growled Badgerstar shaking his dark, battle scared fur as flamestar slipped onto the High branch. "Lets begin then" muttered Pinestar and then he continued in a deep Booming Voice, "Cats of the clans We have gathered under the stars discuss some very important issues" A tabby warrior yowled angrily, "Prey Stealing! and changing the borders!" soon every cat, apart from the medicince cats and their apprentices began a furious uproar. "Silence!" hissed Badgerstar, fur bristling with anger. almost everycat had fell quiet. No-one wanted to be on the wrong side of Badgerstar. Pinestar hissed in retaliation to the uproar his dark brown fur spiking up, "It Is Shadowclan and Windclan that has been stealing, not Thunderclan!" The two toms began arguing over the prey, boundaries ect. ect. He, Flamestar just wanted some peace between the clans, even gatherings were like wars. Silverstar just glanced at him her eyes full of boredom and Anger, that made him un-easy. What she did next made him speechless with gratitude and sheer surprise. "Why do we argue this much? we are cats Isn't that enough? We fight pointless wars each day as if we are pieces in a game. Prey stealing? New Boundaries? Accusing some-cat is just as bad as committing that crime!" Her silvertail swished angrily as she continued, "Why not make A solution here and now to save later pain or suffering!" Now it was Badgerstar that was meowing with hatred etched in each syllable, "The crimes will still be committed, we cant stop that! Either get on with it or leave! Leave the lake!" Flamestar watched as the clans divided, those wanting peace joining silverstar and the other standing their ground hissing many insults. "It is decided" I meow loudly so every cat could hear, "I cannot join you Silverstar, I am greatly sorry but I have devoted my life trying to keep peace, I want to go with you to get peace but... I cant. I cant leave the rest of my clan here to be torn apart by the others" he flicked his tail towards the other leaders and continued, "I will meet you again though. I promise that when I die I will not live in these skies, I will find you and your clan and live with your ancestors for the rest of eternity. That is a true promise" The cats were speachless, there were no greivious goodbyes or wails of distress. The cats just parted in silence.
Now they have parted we continue our tale a couple of days later, Silverstar has left with her clan with one medicine cat and two medicine cat apprentices, numerous warriors some apprentices and a single deputy.
A chill was setting upon the unknown lands, it was a blustery evening that chilled you to the bone. A silver cat now thin and ruffled was leading a group of cats onwards into the unknown. Silverstar had begun using their differences to advantage. Windclan cats were small and fast, they were currently on ahead scouting as they could relay signs of danger the quickest. The large muscular build of shadowclan and thunderclan cats were guards and hunters. As for riverclan, they could spot a fish in brown water a fox length away and were the perfect look outs. "Silverstar! we must find shelter, it is getting too cold to bare and we are too weak" It was the deputy Thistlefrost, muscular but weak looking eyes pleading, "Please! the apprentices might die!" Silverstar could not speak for a minute so instead nodded and after a while called to the scouts, "Search for shelter! We cant go on!" Oh how could I do this, I am sending cats to their death not giving them freedom! A yowl from ahead sounded as a scout had found a underground tunnel. All the cats bedraggled and ready to collapse into the darkness. It felt like it would never end, but at least the cold did not follow them. eventually after much endurance and aching pads they reached a cave. It was large, Sandstone was all around them and there were pockets that could be made into dens. Every exhausted shape began to get comfortable and fall into the warm grasp of sleep.
"Silverstar" This made silverstar jump, she was dreaming than how... Horror flooded through her as a ginger tom stood in front of her fur forever glowing red. Flamestar. He had... died. "wh-what happened!" she mewed squeakily in a voice full of fear. "Calm down silverstar, I was killed the day you left because of my speech, Foxclaw is now Leader but listen I am trying to help you find the moon oak" She was opening her mouth to begin asking a stream of questions but the starry shape of was running away, down a tunnel near the one they entered. She followed close behind, paws pounding the ground until she slowed drawing beside Flamestar as she saw it. A tree, its leaves shining silver with moonlight glittering like the sky. At the very top of the cave roof, directly above the oak tree was a large hole and the source of all the moonlight. a cloud moved over the moon in the sky above and the entire dream disappeared.
As she awoke she realised this was their new home would be, their hunting grounds and training areas. She began ordering the strongest to hunt and then they left the cave, they shouldn't live that close to the moon oak. The day was warm and sunny as if they were back beside the lake, unlike by the lake they are forced to camp underground to escape the cold. We reach a cave simular to the previous one and begin building a camp with thickets and brambles, moss and twigs. Silverstar had one last thing to do.
"We will never again be called Riverclan, Windclan, Shadowclan or thunderclan! we have burned through the ranks of the others From now on, In memory of the only cat that had always wanted peace and tried to avoid as many fights as possible, we are now Flameclan"
