Keriae wrote:GREYA low growl rumbled in her throat as the tabby muttered something about her having plenty of nice territory and therefore food, and quickly turned into a loud yowl as the tom whipped around with the sparrow in his jaws. Neck fur bristling, Grey rushed after the tabby with her tail streaming out behind her. How dare he try to justify stealing by muttering that he was hungry! It wasn't like he hadn't smelt her scent marks; she'd seen him pause at the boundary line before continuing! With her unsheathed claws leaving deep welts in the ground in her wake, Grey increased her speed an then leapt.

The innocent she-cat woke with a start in her small makeshift nest, one composed of twigs and leaves. The scent of blood hung fresh in her nostrils and seemed attached to her pelt. For the third day in a row, Amberleaf had experienced a terrible nightmare with an omen attached to its text. Surely, this was not the work of StarClan; they hadn't spoken with her since the devastation of her Clan. Though she didn't doubt the presence of StarClan, she often questioned how they could be so cruel and ruthless, to watch more than a dozen of their kin die of famine and disease right before their very star-tipped paws. But Amberleaf held up to her beliefs; StarClan was all that she had, and she was certain that they would speak to her eventually. Today did not seem to be that day.
Amberleaf knew of the dark powers that lie opposite of StarClan, and she didn't even think once about skipping the meeting. She recited the scripture in her head countless times: The doom of our time draws near. Our future rests in the paws of the Seven. The young one. The cold one. The fighter. The healer. The survivor. The faithful. And the one with the blazing eyes. Unite at Great Rock at Winter's Solstice, and then our fate will be decided. She pondered over the seven categories, drawing conclusions for each one; one cat would be an apprentice or young warrior, one would have an unbreakable shell, one would be strong, one would heal others either in physical or emotional health, one would have survived a terrible tragedy, and one would have had to remain faithful to something or someone. But blazing eyes? Was the term to be taken literally or fluidly? Assuming that this message was beyond StarClan's realms, she concluded that she was the healer. Even if the dream was caused by something she ate or even stress, she would still show up to prove herself right - or perhaps wrong.
Now that she had gathered her thoughts, Amberleaf felt a sense of adrenaline. Her life had been nothing more than survival ever since that terrible day when LightClan split; she felt worthless. There was no structure or order out here, just other cats living the same exact sadistic life. They didn't have to live like this, but they just... did. Was there really any questioning it?
Too worked up to feel hungry, Amberleaf cuffed a pinecone with her paw, following it as its spokes rolled endlessly over the soft ground underpaw. She didn't notice how distracted she really had been until the cone slowed down at the paws of a tricolored she-cat that stood only three fox-lengths in front of her. She froze and felt her body become rigid, her emerald eyes locked with the galaxies that would soon notice her and dart up.[x] Word count: 480

And I listen for the whisper
Of your sweet insanity while I formulate
Denials of your effect on me
Rabbit was creeping up on the mole hole, he had patience and knew how to wait for one. Normally they didn't come out at day, but Rabbit knew how to make them. Soon they wouldn't be coming out anymore because of winter, they would say farewell to the world and would travel through those lonely cravens until the spring would come. Rabbit could not understand why one would desire such a darkness for that long. Rabbit himself valued the darkness greatly. Despite what others may say, it was the best time to be active. If he was planing on going somewhere then he would travel by night. However he needed the sun. He would go mad without it.
Rabbit was so focused on the mole hole that he did not notice Swan approaching him from behind. One can not even begin to describe how scared and how surprised Rabbit was when he felt something give him a gentle poke and a voice spoke out to him from behind. With a screech that sent birds flying, Rabbit spun around in the blink of an eye and swiped the cat with unsheathed claws right across the face as hard as he could. Any nearby could hear the impact his paw made across the she-cat's face. Rabbit then let out a hiss and jump a couple paw-steps back, his fur puffed up to look twice his size to intimidate his foe. Keep in mind this was all reflex. Rabbit quickly studied the cat in front of him. A she-cat of a variety of colors with long ears and whiskers. Her golden-brown eyes didn't seem to hold the aggression he was use to seeing in an enemy, but Rabbit wasn't being completely rational right now, and it was better to be safe than sorry. The only two reasons he hadn't bolted yet was because he wasn't sure if this cat was faster than him and plus this was near his campsite and he had stuff there that he did not want to leave.
Ears flat against his skull and a look of pure fear in his eyes, he gave another hiss.
"W-who are you!? I found this place first! If you want me to leave though...I'll leave by tomorrow okay!? Don't....d-don't you dare try to hurt me." he spoke with a shaky voice and as if on cue, his legs started to shake as well. This was truly a cat who felt like he was cornered.

T h e H u n t r e s sGingerRose was easily navigating the woods around her when she caught the scent of a cat approaching rather quickly. She sensed the cat in front of her before she saw it. Before she had time to move she was knocked over by the other cat. She quickly scrambled to her feet and saw the faint blur of a cat in front of her. She took a step closer and the cat came into full few, at least in her right eye. It had no tail and only 3 legs, it's fur was a brownish color and orange colored eyes. It was defiantly a she-cat. GingerRose felt almost a sisterhood with this cat suddenly. Life could not be easy or have been nice to this she-cat who seemed to not only have a battered body but a slightly battered sprite as well. The she-cat quickly apologized. Seeming to think GingerRose would yell at her or worse the she-cat then turned away starting to leave. She grew blurry in her vision and GingerRose quickly walked forward.She-Cat

"Wait." She said, catching up to the she-cat. "It is no matter running into me, I should have been watching what was in front of me as well." She walked next to the cat. "My name is GingerRose, what is yours?" She asked. She was hoping to find someone she could travel with. After all traveling alone was not as fun as it would seem. "Are you traveling alone?" She added wondering if this cat had family or friends, maybe even a can near by. She didn't sense or smell any though so she figured this she-cat was all alone.
