Ryder stared at Nat as she walked away gracefully, almost like she was gliding over the leaf-laden ground. Ryder almost yelled out for her stop, but by the time he worked up the courage to she was long gone. He sighed, mentally kicking himself in the face for being so shy. His cheeks burned a little hotter as he remembered what Nat said.
"No need to be talkative, some of the best ponies are the ones who can just be their for you without words"
Ryder stood deep in thought, wondering what she meant exactly. He snapped out of his trance, and looked over to Fin.
"Um, so do you still want to go see the fish?"

(Sorry I poofed for a while, I had to go somewhere!)

"Oh don't worry Ryder, they won't getcha'- trust me!" Fin said
"I sure do, if you'd still want to! Y'know, Nat sure seemed like a nice pony! I've never seen her around myself."
Fin bends over to grab the keys from under the store mat and unlocks the door.
"Well, here we are! Fin's Fish Store." The new arrivals are over here! She said as she pointed in the right direction

Ryder held the door open for Fin, who walked in. Ryder stepped in, and was immediately taken aback by the beauty of the store. The store was filled with rows of fish tanks, which bathed the entire store in a comforting blue glow. Fish of varying colors and sizes lazily swam around their tanks. An orange and white fish with large, graceful fins caught Ryder's eye, and he bounded over to the tank. His snout was pressed against the glass, and he looked at the majestic fish in awe.
"Is this a lion fish?" Ryder asked, not averting his eyes from the tank.

Fin walked over beside him "Yes Ryder, it is! Isn't he a beauty? He just loves showing his fins off to the customers." She said with a laugh. "They also just so happen to be my second favorite fish! Goldfish being the first of course." Fin said
She cocked her head to the side while looking at him "Ryder, would you like to adopt one of these fish possibly? They're very easy to care for, and they make good company if I do say so myself." She said while staring into the tank

Ryder finally looked away from the tank. "Really? You think I could take care of one?" He looked back at the tank dreamily, pressing his hoof lightly to the tank. "I think I would name him Jett. Doesn't that sound like a lion-fish name? And he would have a big tank to swim around in and nicely colored pebbles and one of those little things that blows bubbles and-" Ryder stopped talking, and blushed deep red. "I-I'm sorry, I didn't m-mean to r-ramble..." Ryder moved away from the tank, staring at the floor while he shuffled awkwardly.

In the Ponyville market, Nat looked around for some random items to add to her collection of do-dads, and found some perfect pieces of broken glass, sea stones, and some vintage pins.
One pin was in the shape of a beautiful goldfish, and Nat bought it knowing she could give it to Fin to maybe start a friendship.
Nat also bought a decorative old wooden box, and some other things to spiffy up her gift.
On the way out of the market Nat bought a beautiful blue and orange scarf for Ryder from a elder-pony's stand.
Nat really hoped that she could make some friends here in Ponyville.
She had only been here for a couple of weeks, and really wanted a friend or two.

Nat headed to her house to start working on these gifts.

Fin nodded
"I can't think of a better person to own this fish than you! You'd be a perfect owner. You're kind, and gentle."
She smiled and looked at him. "That's a fintastic name for him, Ryder!"
Fin walked towards him and said "No, no! You're not rambling at all. That's an excellent idea for the tank!" She said while motioning for him to follow her
"I have all you'd need for Jett's tank right here!" She picked up a small treasure chest "This blows bubbles for the fish, isn't it pretty as well?" Fin said while holding it in her hoof, showing it to Ryder. "I'm so excited! Have you ever owned a pet before?"

After getting home, Nat ate lunch and worked on her gift. When she was done this is what she had:
A gift box holding a goldfish pin, and a nicely wrapped scarf.




And so Nat headed off to Fin's Fish Store.

"Oh, thank you," Ryder mumbled. Ryder followed behind Fin hesitantly, casting sideways glances at the tanks he passed by. "No, I've never owned any pets... is it hard?" He took the chest in his hooves and turned it over a few times, admiring the small details. He looked at the tank that Fin had pointed out, and immediately could imagine how beautiful the tank would look when he was finished with it. "I know it will look really amazing if you help me with it!" Ryder exclaimed, looking at Fin excitedly. "I mean u-um, I meant, that this is your talent so um, I was just..." Ryder began blushing deep red. He placed the chest back on the table before running quickly out of the store. "B-bye!" He yelled, tripping over the corner of a tank before stumbling out the door and out of sight.

"No, it isn't hard- especially fish, they're really easy to care for! I had a bunch of goldfish as a small filly."
Fin had her back turned, polishing a tank when she said
"And of course I can help yo-" She paused when she heard hooves tapping across the floor
Fin looked back at him and saw him running out of the store "Ryder? Are you o-" She said, taking a few steps towards the door. "I guess i'll talk to you later!" She yelled, unsure he heard her.
