Saphira
"Probably to keep evil away from infiltrating the Tree." She answered. Oomph. Saphira bonked her head onto something hard. "Oow..." She looked up and saw a big tree. Holes were everywhere, and it's branches were like a majestic crown. The mist suddenly cleared, as if someone had told it too. "We found it. We found the Great Tree."
She murmured. She flew around above it, letting her plumes softly stroke the air. After a few rounds, she flew into a hole. The library.[/i. She had always loved the read. Saphira took a book from its place. "The War of the Ember," it said on the cover. After settling down, she started to read. "Oops..." Saphira sighed as the book accidentally slipped form her talons. Reaching down to get it, she noticed the page was about Nyra.
She peeked at the page, and quickly scanned it. "No!' She gasped and dropped the book. [i]Do... I really look that much like Nyra?
Saphira's gizzard was twisted inside out with worry. "I better get some rest..." Shaking her head, she took a stressful flight to her hallow. She layed down on her nest, and felt something hard and something crunchy. Sighing in annoyance, she got up and turned around.

(Sorry.)
Charcoal.

Charcoal looked up in surprise as he saw Saphira bump into something. "Yep, this is definitely the Great Tree." He sighed joyfully, watching as Saphira wondered off. Finally they had managed to get to the Great Tree after being captured by St. Aggie's ... all in one day, too, which was rather surprising! He had been stunned to even think that he and Saphira could've even been able to escape St. Aggie's after just a few hours from being captured! He flew up to his hollow and sighed gratefully. His wings were tired, as most owls of his species weren't even supposed to be flying at this age. He settled in the warm hollow and waited until Saphira got back. When she did, he could tell that she wanted to go to sleep, but she couldn't because she had felt something in her nest, perhaps. He spotted it as well, and pointed at the two objects with one talon.
"Hey! Aren't those the things that signify whatever chaw you're going to get in?"
He asked curiously. "I don't think I've really gotten anything." He said, then felt something. "Oh, wait a minute, yes I have. I've gotten something." He grinned.

(Well, Charcoal and Saphira escaped St. Aggie's, they were chased by some of the guards but managed to escape, Saphira taught Charcoal how to fly, they got mobbed by crows, and now they're at the Great Tree. c:)

[center]Saphira
Saphira stared at the two items. A coal and a dried caterpillar. Could it be? All her worries about Nyra were washed away, and joy fizzed up in her small gizzard. "I've been tapped." She closed her eyes happily. "You've been too!" She said joyfully to Charcoal when she saw the forged iron tree that was in his nest. "I wonder when we start." She got a cloudy look in her eyes. But it wasn't because she was moon blinked; it was because she was so happy. Saphira could almost feel the heat of a freshly harvested coal in her talons. "Good luck, Charcoal. You'll make a good blacksmith." She whispered softly. She was so caught up with herself and her brother being tapped, that she almost forgot about Thia, Erzyx, and the egg. She quickly stuck her head into their hallows. Thia was still there, but Eryx was gone. The egg was slightly cracking and shaking. She couldn't enjoy the happy feelings when she knew Eryx was gone! She stepped back and sighed and all her joy fullnes turned into worry for her other brother.

Charcoal.

Charcoal grinned as he saw the forged iron tree. He picked it up with his talon to look at it before setting it back down again. He turned to Saphira. "You're a collier! That's nice - hey, this is sort of like a teamwork thing! You get the coals that I'll be making stuff out of." He pointed that out, though before he could finish, Saphira had vanished from the hollow. He frowned, his eyes trailing after her while she left. Though she came back in just a few seconds, and Charcoal could see a look of dread on her face, so his happiness diminished as well and was replaced with worry and concern. "What? What's wrong?" He asked his sister.
