Saphira
Saphira sighed. "Eryx is gone." She muttered. "Disappeared without a trace. All I found was this feather... But it can't be his. It's too... Long. It's the feather of an adult owl." She nudged a white feather that was clearly the feather of a barn owl towards Charcoal. "Should we try to find him? He is our brother, after all... What if he was also kidnapped by St. Aggies? No, they don't have any full grown barn owls..." She sighed. "He's probably dead right now... what do you think, Charcoal?" She said in a grief-soaked voice.

Charcoal.

Charcoal looked at the feather as it was nudged closer to him, and began thinking about what Saphira had said and the conclusions that she managed to come up with. St. Aggie's ... or the Pure Ones, perhaps. Hopefully not ... " He sighed as he thought, and he finally looked up from the ground to Saphira. He flicked the feather around in his talons, still thinking, then he finally spoke, slowly. "I-I ... he might've went out looking for us whenever we had been captured ourselves." He offered quietly. "Maybe we should look for him, then." He said.

Saphira
Saphira nodded slowly. "But someone could've taken him..." She squeezed the feather. "The only obvious evil owl group that would've taken him is... the Pure Ones." She sighed, worried. "At least he's a barn owl. They probably won't take him prisoner, knowing that." She was suddenly reminded of something. "Charcoal, are you sure you should go? Your a sooty, the owl that they claim is the most unpure." If I pretended to be on their side, I coul just sneak in and save him... But they would most likely kill you, no questions asked." She paused. "If, of course, it IS the Pure Ones." She stared at her talons, with the feather still underneath them. "We can spend the rest of the day planning it and finding out who took him. Tomorrow we can rescue him."

Charcoal.

Charcoal sighed as he was reminded of the fact. It was totally ridiculous how the Pure Ones' based the Barn Owl's purity. First it was the Tyto Alba, then the Masked Owl, then the Grass Owl, and finally, the least 'pure' was the Sooty Owl, which is what Charcoal was. The way that they scaled the ranks was they judged on how their face feathers were - since the Tyto Alba's face feathers were the whitest, they were considered the most 'pure,' and since the Sooty Owl's face feathers were the darkest - hence, 'Sooty' - they were considered the least 'pure' when it comes to the Pure Ones' terminology, which wasn't all that wide and vast as those stupid owls thought it was. He then turned to Saphira and still nodded. "I'll go," he responded. "I'm sure that they'll take in any owl they can get, considering the fact that they're so low of warriors, even a Sooty Owl like myself if their have to," he offered with a slight shrug. "Remember what happened with Dustytuft, or Phillip, in some of the newer Legends? Coryn's friend? It said that they let him and his family in even though they were Sooty Owls, and even then they still had a lot of warriors, unlike now, so most likely they may still let me in." He pointed out carefully.

Saphira
"Good point." Saphira flew off towards the library, and came back a while later with many scrolls about the Pure Ones. Placing them done, she said, "We have to learn as much as we can about them. We only have one day before we save him." She took a scroll and unrolled it in front of her and Charcoal. "We have no time to loose, let's start." After a few hours of reading, Saphira yawned and stretched out her wings. "We can take a break." Waddling to her hallow, she took the coal and caterpillar off her nest and placed it on her shelf of important things. Then, lying on her nest, she took a short nap.

Charcoal.

Charcoal nodded and picked a scroll up with his talon, bringing it towards him and unraveling it so thathe could read it. This scroll was actually written by Soren, surprisingly. However, it was not very surprising how he would know this much about the Pure Ones' when his brother, Kludd, had been the High Tyto of the whole incorporation and he had participated in many, many battles with the group as well as went onto many missions that involved infiltrating the Pure Ones' and even St. Aggie's once or twice, from what Charcoal could recall of the newer Legends. On this scroll he read about the Pure Ones' way of life and their ranks. He even read about how Otulissa had given Nyra the scar she had on her face after she had murdered her beloved teacher and ryb, Strix Struma. It was this scar that, after Nyra had given her own son, Coryn, then Nyroc, the scar on his face, in the exact same spot as hers, was the reason that he had such a close resemblance to his mother and as to why before he came to the Great Tree many mistaked him, a male Barn Owl, for Nyra herself. Shortly after, he got rather tired of reading and couldn't help but agree with Saphira about taking a break. He fell asleep in his nest in just a few minutes.

Saphira
Saphira woke up after awhile. Yawning, she got up and picked up a scroll about the Pure Ones that she had brought to her hallow and started reading. WB, sorry ;~;

(It's fine.)

Charcoal.

Charcoal woke up as well, just a little while after Saphira, and picked up another one of the scrolls, carefully reading through it before picking up another one. This was one that caught his eye - it was about Shadow Beak, the current High Tyto, though the author of the scroll was unknown. He continued reading through it, finding a few things out about the current High Tyto. It stated that he wore a mask to hide his face, although it didn't say whether it was because he had a scarred, mangled face, or if it was just because he simply wanted to constantly wear a mask. "Saphira!" He called. "Look at this. It's about Shadow Beak." He said.

Saphira
Saphira quickly rushed into Charcoal's hallow. "You found something about Shadow Beak?" She asked curiously.she peeked over his shoulder. "There shouldn't be very much known about him. After all, the Pure Ones have only returned a while ago. I wonder why he wears his mask..." She paused to read a bit off of the scroll. "He always wheres the best grade battle claws and the best grade armor... He sounds dangerous. Imagine what he could do to you, Charcoal." She shuddered as an image of her dear brother being torn apart by bloody battle claws. "Are you really sure about this?" She asked nervously, worried for him.

Charcoal.

Charcoal read the scroll over and over again, repeating it in his head. When his sister began to speak, he heard what she was saying, and he understood it in his head rather clearly, though from what he was doing at the moment, it'd look like he was either ignoring her or not paying attention, in which he was doing neither. He continued reading through the scroll, and then he finally looked up from it to make eye contact with Saphira. There was a certain fire in his eyes. "It makes no difference. What is one life lost compared to losing the millions of others in the owl kingdoms, all because one thing was not done?" He asked, perfectly content with his decision of going.
