There was once a clan, just a single clan, living in a beautiful semi-tropical valley at the base of a mountain. They were so powerful they dessimated the other three clans that once lived there. They were known as SovereignClan, and they weren't your typical clan. Rather than believing in StarClan, they believed in gods very much similar to the Egyptian Gods. They also had different rankings than the other, 'normal' clans.

But SovereignClan has fallen. Yes, long, long ago they fell, due to a tragic in-clan turmoil, in which two 'deputies' (SovereignClan's term for deputy is different) had been appointed, for the first time in the clan's history. The cats chosen by the leader were completely different, completely unalike, and disagreed on just about everything. Eventually, they were the demise of this clan.

Until now. No, the descendents of the original SovereignClan lived in secrecy and hiding, staying away from each other and other cats for the most part. But now, they are coming together, only the direct bloodline offspring of these ancient cats, to rebuild the once great and powerful SovereignClan.

· Follow all of Tess's rules

· We are a literate/semi-literate roleplay. At least one paragraph per post. Preferably two. Your paragraphs (if you are going to be doing a small amount of them), must be well thought out, detailed, and with correct spelling, grammer, etc. NO ONE-LINERS! While writer's block is understood, if you think you're going to post a one-liner, then don't even bother posting.

· There is no default form. Instead, you must make your own form. I want to see creativity, well thought out characters, and detail. These will give me an idea of your literacy.

· SovereignClan cats don't generally have traditional warrior names, but they are allowed.

· Please make you posts pretty and pleasing to the eye. Please refrain from using sparkly graphics and stuff. I don't want to see just ugly block of text though. I understand using mobile devices, but when you get back on, please try to edit it to make it pretty.

· While I understand that we all probably have lives out side of ChickenSmoothie, I don't expect you post everyday. This is literate, so for each post to be well thought out, it might take a day or two for you to post with all of your characters. However, if you don't make a post within ten days, then I have the right to remove you from the roleplay. If you think you're going to be inactive for sometime, please consult me via PM, so that you aren't acidentally removed.

· The "deputy" for the Clan will be chosen as we get into the roleplay and it is not a rank that is just up for grabs. When we get farther in, I will consult with the leader and together we will decide which cat would be most suitable for the position. You can mention that your cat wants this position in your form, but in the end, the leader and I will decide. Same goes for the "medicine cat apprentice". If you are a medicine cat or leader, you cannot be chosen for deputy or med. cat apprentice within that clan.

· I will reserve ranks for three days. If you haven't started on your form or shown some effort on it by then, your reservation will be removed and the rank will be up for grabs again.

· All SovereignClan cats have lineage that can be traced back to the original SovereignClan. No loners are accepted. Keep this in mind when writing a history.

· There will be no God-modding, power play, or anything of the like. If you do so, you will be given a warning/strike, and if you get three warnings or strike, I will ask you to leave.

· I expect that you well be kind to your fellow players. There will be no out of character fighting. If I sense tension between two or more members, I will notify all involved, and/or if there is any bullying, arguing, etc, you will be contacted, along with the victims. Depending on the situation, you may be given a second chance, but if not, or if you ruin that second chance, you will be removed from the roleplay and possibly reported to a mod.

· Please don't make your own characters fall in love. It gets old and boring. Be social and interact with other characters. I love to see well developed relationships. They make the roleplay interesting.

· There is a limit of one high rank ( i.e leader, medicine cat) per player. Save some good positions for others. Since medicine cats and deputies must prove themselves before they are chosen, I may allow you to be a leader and medicine cat apprentice, or a medicine cat and a deputy, however, you cannot have them in the same Clan.

· Currently, there is a no character limit, but only make as many as you can handle, and still be generally literate.

...The leader of the Clan is called the Pharaoh if he is male, or the Queen, if she is female.
...The Hier is the oldest kit of the Pharaoh/Queen, and holds the right to leadership should the leader die or retire. If the oldest kit has died, the next avalible will be chosen. Should no cat who holds a royal bloodline be avalible to take the leader's place when it is needed, the current Vizier will take the throne.
...Second in command of SovereignClan is the Vizier. He or she serves right under the Pharaoh or Queen. He or she advises the leader, puts together patrols for hunting and gathering, settling disputes between those of lower rankings, and acting as the leader and the leader's family personal bodyguard.
...Vizier's Hier is the oldest kit of the current Vizier, and is take his or her place when he or she dies. If the oldest is dead, the second oldest will be chosen. Should no offspring be avalible at the time it is needed, the Pharaoh or Queen will choose from a Noble.
...The 'medicine cat' of the Clan is called the Priest. The Priest is responsible for pleasing the gods and intercepting/interpretting messages from them. They also preform ceremonies and rituals to the Gods, and act as healers for those in need of it. Priests are allowed to have mates and kits.
...Training under the Priest, and also the Priest's oldest kit is the Roch (pronounced Rock). They will take the Priest's place when he or she dies. If the oldest has died, the second oldests will take this place. Should no cats be avalible with blood relations to the Priest, the Pharaoh/Queen and the Vizier will choose a cat for the job.
...Nobles are sort of like very experienced warriors in Clan comparison. There will only ever be five nobles. They act like generals, and are in charge of the soliders. They train new soldiers, organize battle patrols should one be needed, and serve as tacticians and ambassadors. If a Noble dies or needs to take the place of the Vizier, the oldest and/or most experienced soldier will take his or her place.
...Scribes keep Clan traditions recorded, as well as history and important events. It is their job to keep SovereignClan's history. They also keep track of deaths, shortages or surpluses of food, battles, etc. They are usually older, and very knowledgable. They pass down what they know to younger scribes and keep things of the sort going.
...Soldiers are the 'warriors' of SovereignClan. They guard the Clan and fight in battle. They are oraganized and overlooked by the Nobles. While they are usually mostly males, there are females as well. They are strong, powerful cats, well built for battle.
...Crafters have a way with their paws. They are responsible for building and repairing dens, and even making things out of vines, grass, etc, such as jewelry. They don't often fight, and they're normally sleeker cats.
...Gatherers are the hunters of the Clan. However, not only do they hunt prey, they also gather various berries, flowers, and other edible things. SovereignClan cats aren't just carnivores. They can be found eating berries, wild fruits, and things of the like. It is their job to keep the Clan well fed.
...Farmers do just what their name suggests. They take scrapes from berries and fruits not eaten and plant them outside of the camp so that they can have more food. They also store away seeds that cannot be planted in the current season for the next time the proper growing timeframe comes around. This is useful if there is not an abundancy in a certain crop.
...Apprentices are younger cats, between five to thirteen moons, who train underneath older ones. There are four different kinds of apprentices: soldier appprentices, crafter apprentices, gatherer apprentices, and farmer apprentices. Each different type of apprentice trains under an experienced cat of the same rank/type. When a kit reaches the proper age, they are allowed to choose which type of apprentice they would like to become. This is done in a certain way so that they can be exposed to all of the different options. For six days, they will shadow underneath an older cat to see what a day in their life is like. They will get a day off, then rotate to a type for another six days. This goes on four weeks, and then they must decide. Should an apprentice not like what they are training to be, they are allowed to change. However, any apprentice over eight moons is not allowed to the change.
...Watchers are like the daycare of SovereignClan. They are normally females who are in charge of taking care of kits after they are two weeks old. This includes nursing them, watching them, and keeping them out of trouble. This is so that, after two weeks, their mother can go back to her regular job.
...Kits are exactly what their name claims them to be. Any cat between newborn to five moons is rendered a kit. When they reach five moons, they are allowed to be made into an apprentice. Kits are not allowed to leave the camp or anything of the like. Even Pharaoh/Queen, Vizier, and Priest's offspring must follow these rules as well.

...Weprenpet, also known as New Year's Day, is celebrated on the first day of the year, in mid-leaf bare. It is celebrated with large feasts of various birds and spiced, dried fruits and berries. There is also song and dancing and gifts for the kits and apprentices.
...The fesitval of Thuthi celebrates the deceased. It honors them by fasting for a whole day, and then going to the Burial Grounds at sunset, where they sit until midnight in a moment of silence. Then, they feast on burrowing animals such as voles and mice. Then, before they leave, flowers are placed on the graves of loved ones by their parents, siblings, and/or offspring. It takes place in early new-leaf.
...The celebration of the ancient SovereignClan is called Embedii. All of the cats take a day off and it is the only day that fire is used to cook meat, for the Priest is the only cat who knows how to make fire. There is lots of meat and berries and fruit. At the end of the day, all cats take a moment of silence and prey to the gods. Then, traditional songs and dances are preformed. Cats give gifts to each other. Even the kits don't go to bed until sunrise. It is a common day for toms to ask she-cats to be their mates (or vice versa). It is celebrated on the first day of greenleaf.
...The Celebration of Nehebkau celebrates rebirth and the afterlife. SovereignClan cats believe that many cats who have done good in their life will become another animal after their death, normally a peaceful one like a crane, a swan, or a bird of paradise (or a similiar songbird). Sometimes they will become a wolf or a white tiger, as well. Anyway, all of the high ranking cats dawn traditional headresses and necklaces and preform a ceremony over the graves of the cats who have died between last year's Nehebkau Celebration and this year's. All of the 'good' cats are said to be reborn on this day after their grave has been blessed by the Priest, Vizier, and Pharoah/Queen. It is also a day for truly saying goodbye to loved ones and letting go of the grief felt from their death. It takes place on the second new moon of greenleaf.
...The Beautiful Feast of the Valley, or just The Feast, is when all of the grown crops are to be harvested, and the Gatherers spend the day out collecting berries and hunting larger game (such as turkey, rabbit, and some waterbird). It honors the day that New SovereignClan was formed, as well the harvest of crops. At sunset, a huge feast, bigger than any of the others, is made, and the Clan eats until midnight. After that, the cats take an hour of silence, preying to the gods or reflecting on the past year. Then, they dance and sing and romp happily until sunrise. Sometimes the kits and apprentices will organize an original skit. It takes place in mid/late leaf-fall.

.:personality:. || Fireflight's parents always considered her a 'born leader'. She's brave, fierce, and tough, but loyal to the end. While she tried to remain cool at all times, she kind of bears a firey temper and a sharp, scathing tongue. She definitely isn't someone who you want to squabble with, because, be warned, she quite likes to argue and always wins. However, being the Clan queen, she won't go around starting pointless fights among others. Now, if you approach her and make the first move, whether it's physical or verbal, that's a different story. But Fireflight would do anything for the ones that she loves and cares about, which just happens to be about everyone in her Clan. While she's extremely wary of newcomers, she's pretty friendly and trustable. Unless, of course, you're an unfortunate loner or rogue who has nothing to do with SovereignClan and happens to be on her territory...

.:history:. || Arkat was a completely normal farm kitty. Sordidsecret, on the paw, was not. Up until he found out that his mate was going to have his kits, he thought he was completely normal. But then he had that dream. A dream in which he met a cat who was completely foreign to him. The told him that they were related though, and that he had once been a noble of a Clan called SovereignClan, and that Sordidsecret himself was destined to help rebuild this Clan. This cat sent him and his pregnant mate out on a journey to find the cats he was told about in his dream, who had also recieved a dream like his.

So they banded together, found the territory that once belonged to Ancient SovereignClan, chased off the tiny band of cats who lived there now, and founded the New SovereignClan. Sordidsecret himself was voted leader, and shortly after they settled in, Arkat gave birth to two beautiful kits, Fireflight and Lancaster.

Fireflight loved tussling with her brother, even though they got quite violent as she grew older. Not to the point where she caused him to shed (too much) blood, but still, she always seemed to beat him fights. Sordidsecret was quite impressed, as was Arkat. Lancaster on the other hand, was not.

Not only was she quite skilled in the art of claw and fang, but she was also heroic. She was only six moons when it happened, but she found herself saving a tiny kit, who had strayed from camp, from drowning. Fireflight had never been taught to swim, but she coped with it quite well, and brought the soaking, shivering, but safe bundle of fur back to its mother.

She was well respected as the Heir, as she should be, and as much as the thought hurt her, she knew that one day Sordidsecret would die and she would have to become the Queen. Now, she didn't have a problem with ruling SovereignClan herself, but she did with the fact that her father would have to die to first.

And die he did, sadly. A noble death nonetheless, saving the Clan from a band of fiercesome rogue who thought they could take SovereignClan's land for their own. Shortly after she became Queen, Arkat, too died. But Fireflight knows her parents are still technically with her, and knows that they are proud of her.

.:personality:. || Lancaster is a friendly, bumbling gatherer who really doesn't have any enemies. He gets along with just about everyone and isn't too hot on violence, for he thinks it highly unnessecary. He's a little clumsy and not afraid to admit it, and quite humble. He doesn't have low self-esteem, he just doesn't quite like too many complements, and he really doesn't like being fussed over (unless of course he likes you xD). Though, to be honest, he sucks with mushy-sort of feelings, and is really blunt to them. Like, if you like him, you'd probably literally have to walk up to him and tell him in order for it to actually set into his mind. But he's really sweet, and really nice, and would really love to have a family of his own one day.
