Female

Air Magic
I'd die too.Description:
Helaine is a smaller dragon, but not extremely so. She has a slender, lithe body with broad wings and a powerful tail. Her wing shape is well-suited for agility, and less so for speed.
As a Wyvern, she has only two legs. Since her wings have no talons on them, she is not very good at manipulating objects. Her toes are dexterous enough to grasp objects, and she can pick things up with her mouth, but that is the extent of abilities in the area of fine motor skills.
When she walks, her body tilts upwards slightly to compensate for her lack for forelegs, though she can still get around easily since her tail aids her in balance.
Helaine has a sleek head and a mouth filled with small, sharp teeth. Her eyes burn with shades of scarlet and orange, and have no discernible pupil despite her apparently normal sense of sight. She has a sharp horn on her nose and a row of flattened, triangular spikes running from the top of her head and down her neck. Her most impressive horns are blunt, durable, and slightly curved. These four horns jut out from the back of her skull at a slight outwards angle. There are two on each side of her head and the lower ones one either side are smaller.
Though she takes heavily after her Wyvern father, her mother also had some influence on her appearance. The Asian Lung has donated its fur in this case. Her head is covered in short fur that transitions to longer fur on her jaw and throat, giving her a small ruff around the neck. From there, the fur shortens again to cover the rest of her body evenly.
Her tail is thickly muscled and very powerful. It is excellent for providing balance on the ground as well as in flight since it is flattened slightly. A short, rounded ridge runs its length along the upper edge, but it has no other ornamentation.
Helaine is a bright red dragon, occasionally leading others to mistake her for a fire magic user. Her neck spikes transition to a slightly lighter shade towards the tips, as does her neck ruff. She also has some markings in gray. Namely, a thin stripe along her spine from the top of her head to her tail tip and a row of spots along her flanks. On her legs, there are two thick bands of gray. The larger of these covers her mid and lower thigh and is interrupted by four thin red stripes, while the smaller band around the middle of the foot between the ankle and toes is solid.
We'll make the same mistakes.Personality:
She is a very determined dragon, willing to put in massive amounts of time and effort in order to achieve a goal. At times, she can be a little more tenacious than is necessary and has a tendency to overwork herself as a response to frustration. Helaine believes that she can overcome any obstacle with enough effort, so she simply puts in effort until she succeeds.
Helaine is independent and capable of looking out for herself, but she is not afraid to accept help if she needs it. She is open-minded and a good listener, so she tends to get along well with other dragons even when there are large differences in personalities or beliefs. Her good manners and respectful attitude don't hurt either.
She will not forget a favor and is extremely loyal to her friends, but not blindly so. If there is something she can do to help, she will do it, but she will not condone poor judgement. Helaine is surprisingly wise for her age since her rough childhood caused her to mentally mature more quickly than her peers, so she has fairly sound morals and personal policies, though she lacks the experience to be truly impressive in the area of wisdom.
Until the day I die, I'll spill my heart for you.History:
Her father was a member of the Elite Forces and one of the best in his line of work. He earned the nickname 'Water', because of the powerful water magic abilities that he used in battle. Water was renowned for his skill and wisdom. Naturally, he became a bit of a celebrity, but out of all the females he could have had, he chose his childhood sweetheart, an Asian Lung by the name of Hedda. They had a daughter who inherited much of her father's Wyvern traits. She adored her father and looked up to him as her hero. Helaine dreamed of growing strong and becoming a member of the Elite Forces just like him.
When he was finally killed it devastated her. Hedda and Helaine were told that he died while fighting a dangerous rogue by the name of Sauron, but this is a well-kept secret. Water actually died during an exercise involving flying in harsh storm conditions. It was a routine drill for him, but a sloppy mistake while showing off caused him to get caught in a powerful air current and lose control. Of course, it was decided that it would better to fabricate a story and preserve Water's honor than tell the truth. So Sauron was framed for an event he had nothing to do with.
Helaine does not know any of this, of course. Her and her mother believe that Sauron really did murder their beloved family member and Helaine swore to avenge her father at any cost.
After losing her father, Helaine found a friend in Astarot, who served as a male role model for her as she finished growing up. She thinks of him as the uncle or brother she never had and his support helped her overcome the hardship.
Unfortunately, even the help of a skilled mage like Astarot has only produced mediocre results in Helaine's own magic abilities. She is an exceptional flyer, but magic does not come easily for her. Thus, she has so far been unable to achieve her dream of becoming a member of the elite forces.
