Serenity gave a small purr, she loved how Jay liked to be so independent, some others she knew would just take advantage of being blind to be pitied. She split the mouse in half carefully and pushed Jay's share towards him, the black tom gobbled it up quickly and licked his paws clean. Serene sniffed, there was a scent of dog, still quite far though. She shrugged and took a bite of her mouse, chewing it and swallowing slowly. She finished the rest and stood up, stretching her slightly aching muscles. Jay sniffed the air intently ''Do you smell dog?'' he murmured almost silently. ''Yeah I smelt it before its pretty far'' she assured her brother. ''No, it's closer now'' Jay mewed, turning to his sister. Serene sniffed quickly, realizing he was right. She looked to the end of the alley, where she noticed a younger pup emerging. Jay sniffed, in hostility as his tail bushed up and he gave a small hiss. The pup seemed shy, Serene thought but not a threat. She waved her tail at her brother, signaling it was okay before stepping towards Katie. Her gaze softened as she spoke ''Hello there, are you alright?''

Katie sniffed, and took a step back as the tom cat hissed. She shook her head as the cat asked the question. "No!!!" She moaned, and flopped over on the dirty, wet a cement covered in leaves, dirt, a bit of mud and hard, sharp rocks and glass. The pup gave a small yelp as a shard of glass dug into her shoulder, and sat up to pull it out. "I think my owners were murdered, I can't find my brother anywhere, and it's FREEZING out here!!! I HATE the streets!!!" Katie complained, and then lay down again but on her belly, and dug her head into the paws, crying and whimpering. Her whole face was soaked from crying, her nose was getting dry, and stress and hunger were eating away at her heart.

Serene padded to Katie, wincing as she pulled a piece of glass from her shoulder. ''It's okay, we will help you. First my brother and I will find you some food and then we can all look for some shelter'' she mewed and added ''Perhaps after you've had some rest we can look for your um.. brother together'' she finished, wondering for a moment if the other dog she was talking about, was friendly towards cats. Jay gave a grumpy face at what his sister said and turned away, huffing. ''Oh and don't worry about Jay, he's just cranky. So do you prefer human food from the trash or fresh prey?'' she asked, studying Katie for a moment.

Katie sighed and nodded, then licking where the glass was. She giggled at the cat's comment about Jay, her tail wagging slightly. The pup longed for shelter... She longed for food and a cozy place to sleep and family. The good thing was that she already had someone nice to be with. Excitement filled her as she thought about finding her father (accidentally kept saying brother... o.o), and she actually smiled. It felt good to smile, it had been a while since she had. Katie scrunched up her face, hearing the food options. "Is that really all there is to eat? I prefer dog food, but oh we'll, I guess human food will do," she said with a sigh, and shook out. Sand, a bit of water, and tiny stones flew out of her heavy fur, although from shaking out a bit of the tiny stones and sand got into her glass wound. The border collie pup licked the dirty wound again, wanting to keep it clean and longing for her owners ointment that nu moved and healed the cuts and scrapes she got. But more than that, she just longed for her family.... Katie would choose family over food and water any day.

Ellie looked up and examined the fence. If I can jump on it, I'll be able to see the other side. She lashed her tail, and leaped high like a striped pidgeon. She landed, her hind legs briefly dangling in the air before she hauled herself up. She sighed in disappointment, slightly annoyed. There wasn't anything in there, just some rubbish and forgotten tools. With winter coming near, she started to detest the life outside. She didn't mind the cold, her fur was thick enough to prevent her from freezing, but the mice and birds were having a bad time and it made her tired doing something that took a lot of time and didn't even end well. She remembered her first winter, when she had to help her mother to dig out small rodents to stay alive. She missed her company, and everything was harder without her, although she would rather stay alone. Since she lost her mother in – she didn't want to think about it – she didn't want a company of cats. Ellie turned back again and jumped from the fence. Instead of thinking, she'd better look for some food.

Rooster looked back over his shoulder at the Australian Shepherd, and let out a sigh. "You know that's one of the more dangerous places to go, more cats live around there and I'm still not convinced that they are friendly," he said, tensing slightly. He paused so he could fall in step with her, and let his bi-colored eyes rest upon hers. When she gave him that look he shook his head and groaned, "Fine, we can go, but keep your guard on," the Husky said and then looked back at the pavement before them. He still wasn't very excited about this idea, but it was her choice today anyway. He also wasn't very fond of the new allegiance, but he is doing his best to get used to it, but he hasn't had very much success.

Missy padded along behind Rooster, watching his feet as they hit the concrete. When he spoke next she looked down, and then felt the Husky slow so he could be beside her. She then looked up at him, with her puppy-dog eyed looked that she had mastered. She knew that always made him melt. "Please?" she pleaded, watching him intently. She smiled as he agreed, and her tail wagged briefly before falling back to it's natural state. She didn't really mind the cat's, but again wasn't very friendly. She pretty much followed Rooster, since he looked out for her. She also never really had feeling's for him, like what happens most of the time with these kind of relationships. She knew other fae's watched him as he went by, and then glared at me for being so close to him. She didn't mind, and honestly knew Rooster wasn't looking for a relationship, so that also kept her feelings at bay.
