Sybil walked out of the den that she now claimed as hers and stretched out her legs. She can feel the softness of the snow as it lightly fell down from the sky. Her pelt wasn't very thick and was meant for summertime, but of course, the fae always preferred to wintertime and the cold weather for some reason. Perhaps it was because of the dark grey and light blacks that's mixed in with her snow white fur? Maybe, but even Lady Sybil, herself, doesn't know why. The posh she-wolf sniffed the air for a second, hoping for a scent of a small doe nearby that she can catch by herself, but there was none. She walked towards the lake, where she found her friend, Robbie. Giving him a soft smile, she took a seat next to him near the cold and freezing lake and dipped her paw into the unfrozen water.

It was unusual that Robbie got up earlier than Sybil, but he didn't really sleep last night either. He turned his head towards the elegant female and gave her a friendly smile. "Good morning, Lady Sybil." He told her before turning back the water of the lake. The cold wasn't much of a bother to him, but he still hated it. He liked the warmth of the summer, the heat of the rays giving him lovely feeling as he sunbathe. He hated winter. The snow made it hard for him to run and catch prey and worse of all; the blizzards. Robbie turned back to his friend and gave her a light chuckle. "Don't do that, Sybil. You have a thin coat, you'll get cold." He warned her. Having a year on her, he knew Sybil since she was a little pup, and knowing Sybil; Robbie already knew that she wouldn't listen to him.

Mason's eyes looked around the area he was in-- it was kind of like a clearing, but with less trees and such. The male sighed lightly. He wasn't used to not being in a pack, he's lived in one all his life. Even though it isn't that different, it still is difficult to get used to. Mason has known Elena pretty much all his lonely life. He didn't have anything to do, really. So Mason got up, stretching out his body. He stretched his neck to the sky, sniffing the air for Elena's lovely scent.

As he padded off away from the clearing, Mason kept sniffing the air in case he was going in the wrong direction. He smiled at the thought of Elena.. he felt like they were a match made in heaven--even though they weren't even mates. The smile on Mason's face faded at the thought.

The ivory brute loped through the maze of dormant trees. Channing had been up for a while now, hough he could not think of a reason why Sybil and Robbie would have missed him. He ghosted at the edges of their presence, showing himself when he wanted and disappearing once he began to feel that twinge. It was like homesickness, but for places he had never been. He stopped short at the lake's edge, looking past it's glassy surface to the other side. The form of a she-wolf caught his eyes first, Sybil. She sat at the lake's edge, accompanied by another. Robbie. The other male gave Channing no feelings of mistrust or dislike, but he did not consider him a friend either.
Snowy paws dipped into the lake as Channing bent down to drink the frigid water, eyes still fixed on what was opposite of him. He would meander that way sooner or later. On his own time.

It was a great day. The sky was clear and sparkling blue, birds are chirping, a lovely breeze was blowing through the plains and Channing's delicious scent permeated the air around her. It was just what she wanted to wake up to. With a happy grin on her face, the elegant wolf began following the scent of her crush, overflowing with courage and excitement. I'm going to do it! Elena's face glowed as she quickened her trot, paws scoring heated trails across the grassy scenery. I'm going to confess to him! A giggle slipped out from her maws from her bold thoughts and a warm glow flowed across her body.

She never knew when it happened - when pure harmless flirting turned into real emotions. She thought she would never be able to like a wolf again - but I know this feeling! I know.. this time I'm not wrong! Bursting through the last barrier of green growth, Elena spotted her favorite brute. "Chan-...oh.." her excited greeting suddenly dimmed in volume and withered away, her ears drooping and her tail fell. The warm happy glow she felt encompassed with ever since she woke this morning slowly dribbled away as a storm of grey feelings gathered. Right... of course he's looking at her... Though they shared a close bond with each other, Elena knew Channing treated her like a good friend and at best, a pack sister. Someone else had long since caged his fragile heart.

The fae felt her will to confess slowly drain away as she watched the brute that held her heart glance at another with longing and desire. I want that to be me Channing. The beautiful fae took a slow step forward, closer to the white wolf, pale green eyes swamped with emotions. Can't you see that I'm hurting? Please turn around. Please turn around. But of course, her silent pleas were unheard and Elena was left to bind her shattering heart and force on a cheerful smile just for him - because they were friends and only friends. "Hey handsome~" she cooed from behind him, walking to curl against his side seductively as she batted her eyes at him. "What are you doing here? Checking out on Sybil aren't we? Need some help?" she smiled, flicking his nose with her tail. She wondered if he knew how much it hurted her to act this way. To try to act the normal, flirty way she is with other brutes and to offer help to solves his love problems when it broke her poor, poor heart. Pay attention to me... Channing... she pleaded with her eyes, her tail running against his flank in a soothing and almost pitiful way.

They were friends yet the brute knew nothing about the fae. Nothing at all.

Mason found Elena, but she was looking at Channing-- of course. His eyes watched her, completely silent as he watched from behind a tree. He was very close friends with Elena. Mason could tell something was wrong. Why couldn't she just tell him what was wrong? and most of all.. why couldn't she just love him, like he loved her? His heart ached for her. He sighed lightly before shaking his head. He came out from behind the tree. He wanted to believe Elena loved him, and not Channing-- but he knew it wasn't true. He didn't know what to do anymore.

Sybil looked up at Robbie and gave him an eye roll. "Yes, papa." She said with a small laugh. Robbie was like a father/brother to her; when her parents passed away of old age, Robbie was there for her. She was a rare one-pup-litter so she didn't have any siblings by her and helped her go though the sorrow, all the mourning. "And thank you for saying Lady." She said softly to him.

Her mother was strict about her calling her Lady Sybil, but her father was not. Of course, most of the wolves only called her Sybil, but Robbie took her mother's consideration and called her by her full name most of the time. Sybil looked up, seeing Channing and Elena on the other side of the lake. A happy and elegant smile warmed up her face as she looked over at her closest friend, Channing. She wasn't very fond of Elena, but that's because she somehow made Elena not like her, for reasons that Sybil still hasn't figured out. She turned to Robbie and wondered if they should go over and say hello.

Robbie gave her a chuckle and playfully pawed her flank. "That's my little girl, and you're very welcome. Lady Sybil is a very lovely name; your mother's request will not get out of my mind." He turned his attention to where Sybil was looking. He, too, saw two familiar wolves in the distance. Channing and Elena, two wolves that he didn't mind the presence of. His maw turned into a friendly smile, which it usually is in, then his eyes turned back to Sybil. "Of course," Robbie told the younger wolf, knowing what that look meant. He followed Sybil around the lake and to the other side. He didn't mind going over to say hello or good morning, since he is a social and friendly wolf, and Channing and Elena didn't really bother him that much.
