Silentpaw perked her ears and carefully scented the air, focusing on each scent. She looked over at Ravenstar, giving him an eager nod as she found a scent of a squirrel.

"Good job Silentpaw. Now scent the air. Can you smell any prey?" He asked, wanting to see how much she had been taught already. Remembering that she couldn't tell him what she smelt, he quickly came up with an idea of how they could handle that. "Once you think you've smelt a bunch of things, I will name what there is. If you detected it, nod your head. If you didn't, shake it to let me know okay?"

Wishpaw

Wishpaw sat in camp, unsure of what to do. Noticing Purpleflower, she jumped to her paws and walked over, her head held high and a grin on her face. "Hey Purpleflower! Training was really fun. It's kind of hard having a mentor who can't talk, but I still think he's really good. I think we're going to go training again today maybe. I'm not sure, I'm just guessing. I hope so though. What have you been doing?" The she-cat babbled, looking up at her adoptive mother with a warm smile and excited eyes. She swayed her tail back and forth, then decided to sit down and wrapped it around her paws instead.

Purpleflower sees her adoptive mother and smiles. "Hey there Wishpaw!" she said. "Im glad that you are getting better and better as an apprentice! Im proud of you!" She licks her head gently and purrs.

Ravenstar began to name off the things he could smell. "Mouse, squirrel, the stale scent of another cat." He mewed, then paused as he caught another scent. "Do you notice that smell that is kind of like flowers, but with an acrid scent also there? That's what twolegs smell like. But don't worry. That one there was just passing through, and it was quite a while ago."

Silentpaw blinked and scented the air once more, reading the other scents Ravenstar had described more closely. She looked back at him, nodding.

Ravenstar smiled encouragingly. "Good. Now I'd like you to use that crouch I just taught you and try and catch something." He said simply. Without giving her any more instruction he sat down and wrapped his tail around his paws, keeping his eyes on the apprentice.

Silentpaw nodded, crouching down to the hunting position. She kept her tail at a mid height, and lowered her head slightly. She slowly took a step forward, and silently began to creep up to the squirrel. She froze for a moment, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. She unsheathed her claws and bunched up her muscles, leaping at the squirrel. The squirrel had seen her, and tried to run away, but it was too late and she managed to hook her claws into it's neck, flinging it down and snapping it's neck. Giving a slight smile of satisfaction and pride, she picked up her catch and padded over to Ravenstar.

Ravenstar looked at Silentpaw as they got back to camp. "Go have some prey and rest up. You did really well today, and we're going to leave it on a good note. I'm going to be leaving for the Moonstone." He said, then paused for a moment to decide whether he should take her with him now, or wait until a later time when she was further in her apprenticeship.

Wishpaw

Wishpaw got to her paws and padded off into the forest, feeling like she desperately need to stretch her legs and be alone to think. As she walked between trees she couldn't help but think how chilly it was outside. A strong wind whipped around outside, and the dark clouds threatened rain.

I just remembered that i still have to post my kit form, and we have to get the birthing under way XD gonna send some PMs to get that organized...

Another thing. I am making a sheet of ALL THE CLAN CATS. ALL OF THEM. I have two cause i ran out of space on one. Im still struggling with it though, and if anyone would kindly aid me, please PM me saying your interested ^^; i just need to collect all the information of the current cats, including the new kits that may or may not be born soon

Silentpaw nodded happily at Ravenstar's complement, then she dipped her head thankfully. She padded over to the freshkill pile and picked out a mouse, sitting over at a spot in the sun. She bit into the mouse and enjoyed ever minute of each delicious bite she took. She soon stood to her paws, stretching out her long legs and began to pad to the apprentice's den for a rest.
