The soft feathers atop Tecenri's head blew in the gentle wind that caressed the top of the mountain. He had waited here for many years, awaiting the words of the second moon, Acilla, that would answer the questions in his mind. For many years, the wolves of Ansilla had not been disturbed. The three packs had remained loyal to their own species, and only a few wars had occurred among the peaceful wolves of this planet. Now, his assistant Deae had said there were rumors going around that a wolf of the ______ tribe had stated a prophecy of unknown wolves coming to ruin their peace. Two more species were going to be introduced, and would grow in number, threatening the original three. This prophecy had been stated nearly 50 years ago, and Deae said that it was just now beginning to come true. Two new species had begun to take development in the darkest parts of Ansilla. The prospect of new wolves frightened Tecenri. In his 471 years of life, never had he ever heard of a new species just coming out of the blue.
A sudden rustle behind him startled him. Turning his large head around, he saw Deae's delicate form take shape. Dipping her head, ashamed, the tiny she-wolf spoke swiftly. "I am sorry master. I came to see if their were any changes in Acilla's decision." The small she-wolf trembled at the cold that the mountain produced. Tecenri did not feel the same sensation, being a wolf of the Eagonnym. He was cursed to never feel any emotion, physical sensation, or any other worldly thing that would hamper his connection with Acilla and Ansilla, the sister moons. He admitted, though, as his age grew, so did his weakness in falling into emotion. He felt a fatherly affection for the small girl who had become his servant over the years. Deae was all he knew of the outside world.
"Acilla still refuses to speak with me, Deae. I fear my time as an Eagonnym is nearing an end." Tecenri watched as Deae's eyes grew wide at this statement. One did not simply stop being an Eagonnym. This phrase was referring to his death. Deae moved closer to her master, dipping her head."Master, I received a prophecy last night from Ansilla. I didn't want to speak of it, but now it is clear that I must.
Two species merge into your world.
Causing havoc and chaos. But
Soon comes another wolf, unlike
any other. A wolf without power.
These wolves will bring peace to
your land, if you sacrifice.
Maste-"Deae was cut off by a sharp gust of wind the color of the sunset. Words floated with this wind, another prophecy from Acilla.
"Four wolves shall be intertwined,
To save what we cannot.
When Acilla vanishes,
And the forbidden of love blooms,
Of the Beauty and of the ______,
Shall we preserve our Pride.
Only then will _____ and _____,
Rescue what was never Lost."
Without another word, the words were gone, as well as the wind. Geae turned to Tecenri to ask him if he had heard the same, and he was no longer there. Left on her own, Geae went to the wolves of Ansilla, speaking of the two prophecies. The prophecy of Acilla and Ansilla. The prophecies that would come soon.
