xxxxxthistleclan is a clan with one too many cats. they've already outgrown their camp, and prey is scarce due to the queens' rumbling appetite to feed their kits. though, heatherstar isn't complaining. her clan is strong and healthy, and she wouldn't want it any other way. she's proud of the clan's progress, but is worried by it's size. the mere numbers of the clan threaten to spill out of camp. there isn't enough space for everybody, but she doesn't dare suggest they relocate. after a meeting with her deputy and elders, they have all mutually decided that it is best thistleclan splits up into three smaller clans. the sand-pelted molly demands that she still be the official leader of all the clans, "let the other cats think they're really leaders of their own clans," she would snort. "it's like a game of house."

xxxxxnothing is final yet, but the meeting is this afternoon, and cats are beginning to grow anxious at the thought of being separated from their home. nobody knows whose going to be appointed new leader, either. it's not the best thing to wake up to, hearing you're being put in a new clan under new leadership, but it's for the best. . . right?

thistleclan's camp
the camp's entrance is made up of rocks, long branches and strings of cobweb and moss. a cat would enter and carefully step down into the depression of the camp. to the left, there is a looming cedar tree with a hollow trunk, just big enough to fit a nest for the leader. there is a small ledge that extends from the base of the tree, built up by soil and rocks. heatherstar uses this as a highledge of sorts to call her meetings. below, cats can gather to listen to her words.

to the right of the entrance is the medicine cat's den. it's on the same level as heatherstar's nest, and it is built mainly out of elongated rocks and cobwebs. Inside, there are two nests for the two medicine cats, tinyleaf and whisperstep. the interior walls are decorated with soft moss, used as a buffer to prevent serious injury if a cat were to fall against the wall. the herbs are stored in two abandoned bird's nests to the left of the den's entrance. Berries and leafy herbs are separated from one another. in the very back, the medicine cats' nests lay. to the right, there is a small hole, big enough for a cat to fit through in case of emergency. to the right of that hole is a sizable amount of bedding for long term patients.

directly in front of the entrance is the warrior den. it is made out of elongated rocks as well, mirroring the appearance of the medicine cat den. part of it is underground, as the younger warriors sleep near the entrance. the senior warriors sleep deeper in the den, towards the back wall.

to the right of the entrance is the apprentice den. it's shell is built out of brambles and moss, so that no prodding thorns get stuck in the apprentice's fur. there is no order in the bedding; cats simply sleep wherever there is an open nest, though the older apprentices always try to shoulder their way to their unassigned assigned nest.

underneath highledge is the nursery. it is a large dug out area, all edges fitted with soft bedding for the queens and their kits.
there is a small shelf of sorts dug into the wall of the nursery that holds mossballs for the kits, sticks for kitting queens, and borage leaves for milk production. there are also small berries for growing kits to eat as they are weaned off of their mother's milk.
