she smiled. "oh, thank starclan!" she meowed, glad that the queen didn't want to die. "some of them probably will... I would love to come visit your kits." she purred. she knew she had mentioned it partly because doveheart was one of her closest friends and because they had lost their father. but it was mostly to keep her busy. she began to keep walking.

he watched as she she-cat ran up a tree. he rolled his eyes but continued to swim. he stopped dead as he saw a small betta fish. he could see it's bright colors though the clear water and launched his paw it, he scooped it out and flung it to the side of the river he quickly sunk his fangs in the fishes throat before it stopped flopping.

the apprentice sat upright her her nest, blinking the sleepiness from her eyes as she looked around the den. scraps of moss clung to her pelt as she stood and headed over to the herb stock-pile. noticing she might have taken her nest with her she let out a small purr and shook out her pelt, watching the moss fly in different directions across the room. sighing she went back to work, sorting the herbs into different piles. noticing that they were running low on cobwebs she trotted over to her mentor. "frostnose, we need more cobwebs." the molly mewed softly to him while nudging his shoulder gently with her nose.

The persistent prodding of his apprentice brought Frostnose from his slumber, the great white tom sitting up in his nest and parting his jaws in a yawn, before standing, bracing his legs apart, and shaking himself like a dog to get rid of the moss. White fur was irritable, due to the fact that moss in his fur made him look even more ridiculous than a regular cat. "Cobwebs?" He managed to gather, through his somewhat incoherent daze. "Right, cobwebs." He nodded, to confirm that, swinging his head toward the pile. Cobwebs were simple enough to gather, so he turned back to Speckledpaw. "One of us should stay here, in case the queens need us. Do you think you're up to finding an escort and updating our stockpiles?" Really, he was tired, and he wanted something to eat, but he was also worried about no medicine cat being around in case either of the queens started kitting.

Larkfang woke with the sun, but she stayed in her nest until most of the clan's warriors had already risen. She'd gone on patrol the morning before, and was tired and sore as a result. She stood, and stretched herself out, before stepping elegantly from the nest that she slept in, and padding out of the tunnel, and into the main camp. She made her way to the fresh kill pile, and selected a small bird, before swiftly moving to a corner out of the way to sit down and eat. She was sure the patrols would have left already, and in all honesty she was thankful. She'd prefer to make herself helpful around camp for today, and if she got too bored, she could always go hunting solo later on.

Worrying about his daughter kept him up most nights, and as result, Foxleap found that he often ended up sleeping in. With a groan, the ginger tom hauled himself from his nest, promising himself just a quick visit to his daughter, before going to find his apprentice. He'd take her battle training or something, to make up for his mental absence while his last remaining kit had miraculously turned up pregnant. He blew out a sigh as he padded across the camp to the nursery, sticking his head inside. "Daisyclaw?" He called, and when he got no reply, he stepped in further, only to find that his daughter was curled up fast asleep in the corner, and the rest of the nursery was abandoned. With another short sigh, he backed out again, and sat down just to the left of the entrance, trying to calm his racing nerves.

For the last week, Hailpaw had been sick. Pretty badly sick, but yesterday, Frostnose had okay-ed his return to training. And that was why the young Egyptian Mau awoke in a scramble of terror, sure that his mentor would have his head if he was late. Hailpaw shot forth from his nest, kicking up a flurry of moss and twigs, and bolted from the den and into camp. As he swung his small head around, his ears flattened a little, not spotting his mentor. He was in big trouble, he knew it. Cowering a little, he managed the biggest voice he could, and called out; "Falcongaze! Falcongaze where are you?" He found himself trembling, knowing his mentor had a bit of a temper, and dreading the implications of that. He was terrified of what that would mean for him, after he'd overslept...

Having not slept well that night, Shadownose had awoken before done when the moon was sinking into the horizon. Being sure to not step on any tails or paws, the fluffy black she-cat moved her way out of the warriors den, through the tunnel to the clearing of the main portion of camp. Moving to the side of the tunnels mouth, the she-cat lapped at her fur quickly to clean any stray pieces of moss and feathers. Not attempting to tame any of the rest of her fur, as it would be a waste of time with her fur tending to flare out no matter what. Giving a quick yawn, her maw gaping momentarily, the fluffy she-cat moved her way out of the camp entrance into the dully lit territory that homed Fernclan now. Scenting the air, she padded down a slight slope away from camp in the direction of the nearby creek to do some extremely early morning fishing when the fish were most active. Purring as the sound of the water filled her ears, soothing her nerves that had kept her wired since the day previous, Shadownose sunk down into a crouch next to the water as she stared intently for any movements. The instant a flash of silver scales caught her eye, she struck the water with a quick blow and snatched the fish out of the water, sending it out of the water onto the shore behind her. Grinning at her catch, she padded over to the fish as it flopped frantically between some rocks that lay upon the shore. Stepping just right, or just wrong enough, the black and white she-cat lodged a sharp pebble right into her soft paws just before reaching her prey. Wincing at the sharp pain, she pushed through it till she killed the fish and picked it up in her jaws to head back to camp. Wincing at every pawstep, she moved quickly to camp though it pained her more the faster she went. Dropping the fish at the right side of the cave in the kill pile, she moved into the medicine cat den and spotted Frostnose and Speckledpaw chatting. Catching their conversation, she felt her heart flutter slightly at the rumble of Frostnose's voice. Dismissing the feeling quickly, she cleared her thought and moved further into the cave that housed the medicine cat den. 'I hate to interrupt, but I have a pebble in my paw and it is causing me troubles. Would you mind getting it out? Maybe after, I can repay you by escorting one of you to find some cobwebs? I wouldn't mind providing some protection for the favor you would be doing me. Her whiskers twitched as she looked to the pair of cats, hoping that Frostnose would agree to go outside of camp and let her provide 'protection' over him as he looked for cobwebs, but her luck was never that good.

Not enthused when moss and feathers were kicked into her face by the ever to pleasant Greypaw, Cinderpaw gave a growl for the rude awakening and lifted herself slowly to a sitting position. Grunting as she stretched her front paws and lapped at her ashen grey fur, the young she-cat's tail flicked irritably, watching as Briarpaw followed suite shortly after Greypaw. Finally deciding to remove herself from her nest, the young apprentice exited through the tunnel into the main portion of camp and searched for her fiery furred mentor. Spotting Foxleap off to the side, she quickly made her way toward her mentor with her tail flicking in the lingering irritation from when she had awaken. 'Morning, Foxleap. Is there any possibility we can train today?' Shuffling her paws as she anticipated the response from the tom, she looked to her paws, finding them extremely interesting at the moment. Her pale green eyes studied her claws as she flexed them onto the stone of the cave floor, her ears swiveling to all the voices that spoke around her. Each pawstep from a different cat registered in her hearing, claiming her attention and losing her focus quickly on what she had asked her mentor.

He was still waiting for a reply, when a new voice caught his attention, and his ears flicked forward, amber eyes alert as they locked onto Shadownose, in the entrance way to his den. Feeling smug his point had been proved- even if Shadownose wasn't a queen- he turned his attention back to Speckledpaw. "Exhibit A- reasons why a medicine cat should always be on site. Nevermind the cobwebs now, Speckledpaw, get Shadownose a stick for pain, and maybe some dock leaves, in case the pebble has scratched her." Having given his order, he glided past his apprentice with the same agile grace he had exhibited back in his warrior days, days that he doubted either Shadownose or Speckledpaw would remember. It amused him, sometimes, to think there were cats who didn't know about his previous adventures as a warrior. Coming to an abrupt stop by Shadownose, he crouched down to inspect the paw more closely, before tilting his head up at her. "If you can walk with minimal pain, it's probably best for you to sit down. Here's fine, albeit in the way, but there are several empty nests if you'd like a comfier place to rest."

"Of course we can train today," he mewed, "I wanted to teach you some more battle moves. It's a shame there's not any other apprentices in camp at the moment, but I'm sure we'll manage without." He stood then, stretching himself out. "How about we get something to eat, and then we'll go? It won't do to train on an empty stomach." He gently nudged her shoulder, turning her toward the fresh kill pile, before he himself trotted in that general direction. As he approached, he was thinking about what he could eat, tail swishing a little as he walked. He'd seen Shadownose enter with her fish, but he knew it would be selfish to keep it to himself and Cinderpaw, when it could feed many others.

Wincing as she shifted her footing which irritated her paw, she flicked her tail in annoyance while he rambled to his apprentice, seeming annoyed by her presence. 'I will be fine as long as the pebble comes out of my paw. I won't need any rest.' She folded back her ears in surprise at his rather fluid and quick movements passed his apprentice and in front of her. Not able to help her eyes widening at his abrupt stop in front of her, having thoughts only seconds before that he was going to ram into her or shove right past her as he left for cobwebs instead of his apprentice. It was shocking how graceful and agile the white tom was, though it was admirable none the less. A question she would have to ask in due time, would be why he happens to be so graceful. If it was natural or something within his history that tells the story. 'As always Frostnose, you seem like an absolute ray of sunshine this morning. Good morning to you too! I'm doing well, other than this annoying pebble that made its home in my paw, thanks for asking. How are you?' Giving a smile as she attempted to lighten the mood, knowing full well that his usually grumpy attitude would try and kill it right away, though she wouldn't let the happy mood of her get shot down easily.

Head shooting back up at the sound of her mentor's voice, her focus shot back to his words as it had wondered off so easily. Nodding in excitement, the grey she-cat smiled happily with her tail quivering in anticipation or excitement as they seemed to go hand in hand sometimes. 'I would love to learn some more battle moves. I could use the extra practice with some I already know also... Though I suppose you're right. Can't really focus on an empty stomach..' Following suite as he headed for the freshkill pile, the sleek she-cat picked up a small mouse to make sure that she didn't eat any larger pieces of prey that should go to the queens or her older clanmates. Stepping off the the side of the cave, she crouched down and ate quickly as the blood filled her mouth and reminded her exactly how hungry she had been. Scarfing down the mouse in moments, she lapped at her lips and chest fur to be sure she was clean before promptly waiting for her mentor to finished his morning meal so they could go train.

"those are the shadow woods, then the thunderpath then the moon pool." she meowed. she knew it was for herself, but she didn't care.

She flattened her ears very tightly to her head as Goldenlight and Kestrelflame padded out of camp together. She sighed, and looked down at her paws. She had wanted to talk to the Tom, to get to know him better, but she knew that was far-fetched. She would probably choke on her own spit if she tried to talk to him, being the kind of cat she was. Even though she did have feelings towards the Tom, she knew he would never feel that was about her. Being left to her own thoughts, she left camp, turning away from the river where she heard cheerful voices. She padded through the forest, her ears perked at the sounds of the birds and insects. Then she stopped suddenly, and thought for a moment. She turned around, and padded towards their voices. When she poked her head through the bushes, and saw them chatting. She merged, and smiled sheepishly at them both "H-Hi, Kestrelflame, G-Goldenlight" She meowed quietly.

She smiled slightly as he offered to share his Betta fish "Sure! Thanks" She mewed, and sat down in front of the beta fish, nudging it towards him. She cast a nervous glance up towards Kestrelflame, then looked over at Goldenlight. She took a bite, and nudged it towards Goldenlight "Ill help you hunt after this" She meowed, frowning a bit. When he asked her how she was, she tilted her head to both sides "Im alright." She meowed finally, making up her mind about how she felt. She wasn't actually sure, to be honest. She was happy that Goldenlight had wanted her to share the fish with him, but she was also slightly nervous, for some reason she could explain, but didn't really want to.
