indentLeo leaned against his dresser, hands grasping the top edge. He knew this party wasn't gonna go without it's drama, as did every party on campus ever. He just hoped it didn't get too crazy. He also just hoped that no one ever found out about his own little drama that he had locked away inside him, otherwise he would probably combust. And no. He wasn't being dramatic. It would most certainly ruin a certain friendship that he didn't want ruined. Cough, cough. Rob. Cough, cough. He probably already ruined his friendship with Myles at this point. He had no idea how he was gonna fix that one. If they ever met face to face again, they'd probably have to have a conversation. A conversation Leo was most likely never going to be prepared to have. He'd probably just brush it off with a joke and forget it ever happened if possible. Which was most definitely, not possible. Yet, he liked to convince his brain that he could get away with this. Just for the peace of mind until he had to actually confront his horrible life decisions and irrational judgement making. And if on cue, his door burst open for the third time today, and in came Myles. He felt his blood run cold, like someone had dumped ice right into his brain.
indentLeo immediately started choking on his own spit.
indentHe tried to play it cool by patting his chest and leaning against his desk in the most unnatural fashion. He knew he looked like a complete idiot, but his brain was running a million miles per minute and he honestly couldn't care less that his face was beat red. He just hoped that he didn't look suspicious. He probably looked like An idiot if he didn't look like he wasn't hiding something. Or maybe he looked like he was having a stroke. Whatever, he just hoped that Rob and Bray would ignore his reaction and focus on Myles busting in and looking frazzled as all hell. He quickly shot Myles a warning look, hoping he got the message to shut up and leave. Alas, the gods chose to screw him over by having him walk further into the room. Leo grimaced, his brown eyes flying to the ceiling as he cursed the gods above. Before he turned his head back down and hopefully put on the least painful grin he could muster.
indent"Heyyyyy, Myles. My pal. Friend. Whatcha up too hmm?" he said, crossing his arms and grinning very much painfully.
indentWhen he said he needed to get his things from last night, Leo had to restrain himself from facepalming and then shaking Myles by the shoulders. Which was honestly generous of him, since that was probably the most suspicious thing to ever be said in history. "Ahaha...Yeah, last night..," he said through his teeth. When he glanced over at Bray and Rob, his eyes immediately met Rob's. Gods, he wanted to look away. Instead they stayed glued there for a few seconds too long. His brain obviously not functioning properly anymore. Before he quickly tore them away and followed Myles through the room. He quickly kicked his dirty clothes on the ground to the side, before sliding back into his chair and trying not to sink right into it. Why did he have to come when not only his sister was in the room, but his crush as well. Oh right, Myles knew all about that now.
indentLeo wanted death.
indentMaybe if he asked nicely enough, Zeus would smite him down right here and now. He rubbed his eyes, peeking through his fingers as Myles stumbled around the room and grabbed his things. Words tumbling out of his mouth from anxiety. Honestly, Leo would probably be doing the same if Myles wasn't already doing it for him. His brain was in full panic mode. It was also on no sleep, wired on caffeine, and hungover as hell. Which didn't really help the situation if he was being honest. Maybe Aphrodite was mad at him. Did he have any beef with the Aphrodite kids? He couldn't remember. He was just nervously fidgeting with a pencil he found on his desk right now. When Myles finally left and shut the door, Leo let out a breath of air he didn't realize he had been holding. Screw Myles being suspicious. He might as well put himself in that category as well. When Rob commented on Myles weird behavior, Leo couldn't help it. He burst out laughing. It was a strangled laugh, and a bitter one. But a Leo laugh nonetheless. He probably looked like a maniac. But he quickly shut up when he realized what he was doing, and instead readjusted in his seat. Clearing his throat before he began to speak.
indent"Yeah that was a little weird," he said. Leaning back into his desk and forcing another grin. He let Rob assume that they had just gotten up to a wild party instead of a one night stand with his half brother. "Screw my night partying with Myles. I'm always up for another party and more bad decisions. And by the way, you idiot, I don't look hungover as hell. I look like I could walk a runway."
indentThat was a lie. He looked like crap. But he was just teasing, and Rob knew that. Honestly, Rob was probably the only person that could actually get him to go to sleep. Otherwise he was either up all night coding, or staring at the boring ceiling waiting for his consciousness to fade into darkness. What he would do to fall asleep next to Rob, instead of laying in an uncomfortable dorm room bed all by himself. He shook his head out of his own thoughts, knowing he was just daydreaming about things that would never happen. Also, he knew that Rob would probably think he was absolutely insane for thinking those things about him. He was his best friend.
indentAnd yet he wanted him to be so much more.
indentHe needed to focus, and pretend that fiasco with Myles had never happened. At least Leo was good at jumping back from things like that. He was always good at cutting the tension in the room, or just shaking himself out of the own tension in his brain. Rob did it for him this time, mentioning a bonfire at the party. As well as his fire powers, thanks to his father. His memories of first showing Rob his powers were always his favorite. He knew that both Rob and him treasured their time at camp half blood.
indent"You just want me to light your cigarettes," he teased. Grinning as he leaned back and held up his hand, lighting one of his fingers on fire. The fire came almost instantly, as it was a small one and easier to control. Though it fizzled out as he put his hand down, which wasn't surprising considering his mental state right now. He always needed to have a clear mind when using his powers, otherwise they only got harder and harder to control. He learned that the hard way, the burn on his hands obvious reminders.
indent"We should do something pre-party though," he leaned forward. Lips curling up into a smirk as he locked eyes with Rob. "You wanna go steal some fireworks?"
