Centuries ago, in a far off land lived a man and his beloved wife. They had very little, but they were happy so long as they had one another. But it wasn't long before fate revealed other plans for the unfortunate couple. One day, the wife fell sick. With each passing day, her life ebbed away, and her grieving husband could do nothing but watch as she slowly died.

The God of Stars, who observed the couple from the heavens, pitied them. He descended down to earth one night, and gave the husband a golden apple. "Have your wife eat this apple, and her health will be restored," said the god. "But, you cannot tell another mortal where you found this cure. Otherwise, tragedy will befall you and your bloodline."

The man rushed to his wife's side, and gave her the apple to eat. The moment she took her first bite, the rosiness in her cheeks returned, and the illness that had tethered her to their bed, disappeared. People far and wide came to their home, wishing to learn of the cure to her disease. The wife, who did not share her husband's sentiment, proudly showed them the apple.

The heavens were invaded, and its immortal gods, slain. The foolish mortals who ravaged the divine kingdom were left in a godless world. They now stand on the precipice of disaster.

𝐂𝐔𝐑𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐒𝐄𝐓𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆
Two countries, the United Kingdom of Arcadia and the Sepia Empire have been at war for the majority of history. Their feud dates back to the invasion of the heavens and the subsequent death of the gods.

The husband and wife who betrayed the gods to gift humanity the golden apples became celebrated figures in Sepian history. The royal family themselves are direct descendants of the couple. As of the start of the role-play, the most current emperor had just been slain in the Arcadia-Sepia war. The long line of emperors, and their family had like-wise met similar fates. The crown prince, having discovered the true nature of his family's betrayal, seeks to make peace between the two provinces.

The current queen of Arcadia, is a direct descendant of the God of Stars. She blames the Sepians for their betrayal, and the deaths of her people, including her parents. She plans to assassinate the Sepian royal family when they meet to discuss plans of peace.

Arcadians were rumored to have been descendants of gods. They are said to posses a natural affinity for the magic arts. The nation is located in the mountainous regions of the north where it snows almost all year round, and the air is thin. It's protected by a magical ward that keeps off intruders, such as the Sepians. The Arcadians are best known for being incredible dragon tamers; creatures said to have divine origins.

Sepians are characterized by their longevity, and strong, warrior-like spirit. It's said their newborns learn to wield a sword before they can walk. They are a civilization of conquerors based in the coastal region to the south-east. The weather is always fair, and because of that, the empire is home to wide verdant lands. The Sepian Empire is said to have the strongest navy known in all the lands, and are best known for their military prowess.
