Latta
Divination Professor - Grand Entrance - Tag(s): Carolina, Dario,

Latta hummed as he ran the brush over his cheeks again, eyeing the color of the rogue on his cheeks. With a sigh and a click of the tongue, he set the brush down. This would do.

The quarters he resided in were small, but not cramped. Simple, with a nice bed, and a vanity for him to get ready with. The bookshelves held a few books on the bottom shelves, higher ones holding wig stands and jewelry stands. For a drag queen, he actually didn't own many wigs, instead just. Restyling what he owned. It wasn't like teachers made that much money, after all.

Glancing in the mirror one last time, he slipped on and glued down a mid-length blonde wig. Lots of volume and curls. Lots and lots and lots of volume.

There. Now she was ready for the day!

Leaving her room, she locked the door with a flick of the wand, and carefully made the short distance to her classroom, where she began to set out tea sets, orbs, card sets, and so on. When she was satisfied with her work, she stepped away from the room to go down to the mess hall, just to snag a quick coffee.

It was then over to the entrance, where Carolina was already waiting with Dario. She hummed as she listened to their tail end of their conversations. "Such a tizzle, fizzle, and a whirl. Such a shame, a terror, a..."

She trailed for a moment, her Italian not a fluent as she'd like, it took her a moment to recall the word. "Catastrophe, yes. Come by later, Carolina, and I'll read your cards for the year. We'll see how dreary the situation is then."

Anette
Acqua - 6th Year - Muggleborn - Tag(s): Open

Once again, she was on her way!

Anette hummed excitedly, pulling back her teal colored hair into a high ponytail. It matched well with her house robes, which she delighted in watching swirl around her.

She would be home soon, her home away from home, and she was so much more than ready. The first day was the best, most amazing and magically perfect of the whole year! Once again she'd be so lucky as to witness the first years gain their wands, watching their eyes light up as they felt the connected-ness of being partnered with a magical part of themselves, and extension of their beings they hadn't known they were missing!

It meant everything to her.

Traveling through the Italian countryside was nice. She watched as they passed through rural areas, serene and lovely like a picture painted by a master. There was so much peace here, in the muggle world, and yet, now that she knew there was more she knew she'd never be at peace there again. So arriving at last to the school had been more than soothing.

Other students around her were abuzz with conversations, and she felt herself relax into the lull of it all. Some faces she recognized, others she did not. But no matter, she'd likely get to know them eventually. That was what she did, who she liked being, and who she wished to grow well into.

Carolina looked over and nodded her greeting to both Maxton, the History of Magic professor, and Latta, the Divination professor. She raised an eyebrow when the latter of the two told her to come by her classroom to read the cards. "I'm sure I know just how this year is going to go, but thank you, Latta." She said politely. When Carolina had first met Latta, it took a moment to get used to the personality. Not that Carolina had anything against the soon-to-be-professor, but it was definitely different to what she was used to being around. But then again, the redhead was usually around her family who were sad a lot of the time, her team who was terrified most of the time, and the death eaters, who really beat her and her team down whenever they could see the chance. So, to nobody's surprise, this kind of personality was intriguing to the woman. Now that she had been around Latta a lot more, she had grown to respect her. Confidence oozed from the prophet and it sort of made her jealous, but definitely not enough for Carolina to despise her.

Maxton was very knowledgeable about history and when she hired him, she was eager to tell him all she knew about the war back home, though she had never let loose about the fact that England was her home. Thinking about England made her homesick, though she had never been there. It was more for the life that she could have had, but would never get to because of a man's power rampage. That thought alone made her grimace. She had known about her family's life all of 9 years and she was still angry and bitter about it. It was very hard to grieve when you couldn't even go visit your uncle and father's graves. She knew Teddy felt the same, but she was envious that he had a little bit more free reign than she did. He was a metamorphmagus, so he could easily change his appearance and walk around Italy. She was on full watch when she was at the ministry, seeing as she was a half-blood, was engaged to a muggleborn wizard, she had flaming red hair, and she had green eyes. It ticked off every box for the ministry and she was under severe scrutiny.

The redhead finally shook herself out of her thoughts and looked down, seeing that the students had finally been led in by the guardiano and the guardiana. She smiled as she watched them file in, the first years and a lot of the older years chatting amongst themselves. After letting them talk things out for a minute, she held her hands up to silence them. Once the custodes saw this, they were quick to silence the excited crowd. "Buongiorno. Benvenuto a Vecchio Montagna. Good morning. Welcome to Vecchio Montagna. My name is Carolina Olivarius, your headmistress and Defense Against the Dark Arts professor. These," She gestured to four of the staff members. "Are your Heads of Houses. _____ for Acqua, Dario Agosti for Aria, _____ for Fuoco, and Crystal for Terra. The remaining staff members are your professors. Now that introductions are out of the way, if you'll please line up along the left, back, and front walls so we can get our sorting and wand ceremonies under way."

The walk to the castle was a quiet one in Kathryn's case, as it useually was, despite the plethora of conversations going on around her. Her excited and apprehensive fellow students all grouped together as they made their way to the main hall for the traditional Vecchio Montagna welcoming. All the students who arrived for the school year grouped together in a single place, unidentifiable from the others when it came to year. That is minus the first years who would now be going through the joy of their sorting ceramony. After which their wands would be selecting them, which was personally Kathryn's favorite part of this whole start if year greeting. The brunette still recalled the time she was paired up with her wand even though it was four yesrs ago. It was a day, a moment, that was one which the fifteen year old would never forget as long as she lived. The nervous anticipation. The adrenaline that had yet to fade after being sorted into a house. The hope for what kind of wand would choose you. The fear that none of the wands you tried out would want you as its master. The pure joy when, finally, one finally did decide to offer you its allegiance by sending out those beautifully colored sparks from its tip.

So many emotions hitting one person all at once..... Honestly the teen was surprised she was able to stand it now when she looked back on her ceramonies. Now another batch of newbies would get to experience those same storms of emotions before the great feast that would eventually follow. It was almost like having nastalgia every year.

Kathryn moved silently and swiftly with the rest of the Vecchio Montagna students to line up as their Headmisstress had instructed them to do. A little bit of excitment slipping into her step as hard as she attempted to fight it. After all this school was home away from home...her safe place. Her sanctuary. Her second family that sometimes seemed like her real family since her parents were both muggles. Neither her mother or father would ever truely understand their daughter, at least not like those whom she wondered these particular halls with anyway. They couldn't help Kathryn or give advice like the staff of the school could. Their presences could never be as soothing and comforting as the presences of the rest of Montagna's students were, despite weather or not the teen spoke to any of the other students was irrelevant. The brunette fifth year witch stood calm at attention against one of the indicated walls to watch the proceedings.
