xxxxxxxxThe snake. The knives. It'd proven futile. She had worked herself into a cool rage. Off in the far corner, Warren and Tobias had booked it with two females. Goddesses, demigoddesses, or one of each sh e wasn't sure. Useless. Completely useless. Where the hell was Keeley? The demonic weapon she'd gifted him disappeared at her command. Now she was working up an army. Manifesting demons that would fight for her and follow her every command. Someone ought to listen to her. The one who controlled wine was still pressed against the counter top with his... boyfriend? Who knew, but he was huddled over him protectively. Liberty had been saved by that aggravating Salem who had shifted herself into a wolf. Artemis' daughter? No way. Now she was off saving someone else with her tail between her legs. What an easy kill. No one else was walking out of here unharmed. Liberty was at it again with Lilith's own knives. The snake's path shifted around to go block the entrance and exits with its long body. She raised her hand, stopped majority of them in midair but was struck in the right ear. Drawing blood. No time to tend to that. It'd have to wait for later. "Look what you've done. You're bound to soil this dress."
xxxxxxxxHer personal infantry was still on the move, a group of two trained on each immortal in the obstructed bar. A loud war cry emitted from one of them and they were charging. She didn't turn her back but she started on a trap at every exit or entrance in her view. Beyond the snake if they did happen to make it past it. All her creations were in place, now Liberty was her own personal target. Her heels made contact with the cracked floor, a sound beyond the typical clicking erupting. It was more or less a bang. A gun, in her hand, just like that. Demonic. She fired at her, four bullets. Still a fair distance away her finger clicked the smooth slope of the trigger and shot away. Six instead of four, two at each, the wolf, the protector, and the final one who was doused in his own blood. "No one is coming out of this alive." The bullets could only be so accurate with her army already on them. If she hit one of them they'd falter, a small price she couldn't afford to pay. Not when she was the only active demon in the room who was still feuding.
xxxxxxxxShe refused to stop or give in. One of them was going to die at her hands. A demigod or goddess preferably. That was what she was here for, after all. Did her target even matter? Wouldn't her father be satisfied with anyone? She weaseled a message to her father despite what surrounded her, "Message Tobias for me. Ask him if that Alina is there, have him get her name. If she is, kill her. My orders. Otherwise bring her back for me to kill her."

His mind was racing a mile a minute, several flash-blacks flickered before him as his sight was dimming to the outside world. He had never felt so trapped in his entire life. The cooling sensation of his brother’s water healing technique brought his fever down quite a bit to where he was breathing evenly. Warren loosened his grip on Tobias’ jacket as he murmured a few comforting words, causing him to relax in the hold he had him in. Nodding, he let Toby slowly walk him over to other side of the bar near the back. He could not see anything, but he felt the heat of the flames as they neared the circle and two girls. His entire body tensed as they got within a few feet of it, but then the cooling sensation was back travelling up from his toes, enveloping his body entirely. Listening carefully, he started to catch on to all the noises in the room. Salem’s claws scraping against the wood floor, the high-pitched whine of Lilith’s metal snake on the wood, tearing it from the ground every inch it moved, and the whistle of knives skimming through the air. The corner of his mouth tipped up in a small smirk as he concluded Lilith was fighting all of them by herself. Serves her right, she is the one that wanted to do this mission anyways.

They were up and moving again towards the back of the bar and the exit door lit up in red. Warren clutched tightly to his brother’s shoulder as they ducked out the back and into the alley. A blast of cool nighttime air caressed his face, cooling off his sweaty brow. He sucked in a deep breath, sinking to his knees as he relaxed with his butt on his heels and face pointed towards the sky. Hastily, he removed his blazer declaring he was too muggy to wear it anyways. The flashbacks stopped abruptly as he calmed his rapid breathing, letting the fresh air cleanse his veins. He started to become more aware of his surroundings as he remembered who he was and how he had been trained. Without opening his eyes or moving he pursed his lips and rolled his shoulders back, opening his mouth to speak. “Thanks Toby.” His head fell into its normal position as his sightless eyes opened in the direction of the two girls that tagged along. Instead of using his sight, he used his other senses which were quite strong from years of blindfold training his dad but the three young men through. The three being Talos, Tobias, and Warren. He had always thought it quite useless, until now. He rolled his eyes mentally at the thought of his dad helping him.

His keener hearing picked up the screams and sounds of fighting inside the bar through the thick metal door they had exited from. Something about it did not sit right with him, she had laughed at him. Lilith had laughed at his blindness and frankly made fun of him. His blood began to boil at the mere thought of her taking humor from his pain. The dislike he had for that women was up in the ranks for the hatred he held for his father, and that was saying something. Warren pulled his hands into white-knuckled fists and got to his feet unsteadily at first but then he evened out. “I’m going back inside Tobias. They don't deserve her wrath.”

Without another word, he yanked the metal door of its hinges with a sturdy yank, tossing it away to his left side away from his brother and the girls. His skin tingled with the magic she had rigged the exits with, sizzling against his body as he shoved his way out of it. Pathetic. His fingers trailed up to the first two buttons on his black undershirt, popping them off and letting them clatter to the floor. He rolled his sleeves up as he pushed tables out of his way with his legs, never breaking a step. Warren slid his hand into the back waistline of his dress pants and pulled out a real handgun, locked and loaded. He checked the safety and the clip as he rounded the corner back into the room of the main bar. However, the bullets were not normal bullets, they could kill things of the underworld, courtesy of the best smith in hell who he had befriended in his time down under.

Warren closed his sightless eyes as he came to a halt on the other side of the room medium sized room. He let his body relax with a few deep breaths before pulling the gun up steadily, gripping between both of his hands. A few long seconds stretched by as he pinpointed her little minions heading straight for the unprepared demi-gods, old and new. He fired four rapid, scarily accurate shots into the heads of the ghostly figures, making them dissipate into thin air, sending them back to the underworld. He knocked out the ones headed for Troius and Joey who were still laying helplessly beneath the bar where he had put them. Useless. He fired two more shots at the soldiers headed for Liberty, hitting one square in the chest and the other one in the air. The first one dispersed while the other one just faltered and continued its assault on the brunette female. He turned the sight on the demoness wreaking havoc on the lesser beings without a care in the world, her metal snake wrapped around the room. He fired the remaining six bullets in her direction, aimed for her upper head and chest but he sincerely doubted any of them would hit her with her skill set. Worth a try. He dropped the pistol, immediately coating his arms in a devilish black/dark purple lightning that seized and crackled at every nearby piece of metal. “I think that’s enough Lilith.” He growled as he prowled in her direction, white sightless eyes opened wide, seemingly staring right into hers. His arms jerked to the ceiling, sending strains of lightning across the roof and down onto the metal snake behind her, carefully avoiding anyone from the other side. He was sure the electricity would short circuit the snake for a limited amount of time but meanwhile he might as well go for the conjurer.

He closed the distance between him and Lilith within a few long, purposeful strides. His sparking hands connected directly with her chest, shoving her backwards into a wayward table, shocking her in the process. “What do you think you’re doing? Cause your dad would totally be happy with his daughter all over the news plastered as a freak, known to the world.” He waved his hand in the direction of the entrance where news reporters and cops were lined up outside. “They can’t know who we are Lilith, it would cause chaos for mankind and we both know damn well Zeus would rain down on hell for eternity if the gods got outed. You killed innocents; it’s going to be a publicity nightmare.” Warren glared at her, his body crackling with ebony lightning as he waited for her response, and whether she was going to try and kill him. He cast a quick glance back at Troius who had Joey cradled in his arms, making solid eye contact his composure faltering for a half second. He did not care about being outed. He wanted to save his old friends.

xxxxxxxxOne by one her demons fell. There was only one left by the end of it, still brawling with Liberty. These had been far too weak. She'd have to make another, stronger this time. More of them. She turned around, located the source of the bullets, and stopped the six shots that were aimed at her in midair. Listening to the bullets as they hit the ground with a sharp clang. She narrowed her eyes and wouldn't have to look at him to tell who it was. Good old Warren. Thinking he was the big bad damn wolf. Now he was out here playing hero, as if he was any match for the future Queen. Before handling him she raised another battalion. Ensuring they'd be harder to defeat whilst pinning four on every adversary. She spun on her heel and faced Warren, eyes darting to the gun that she drew her way. "This is your big plan, huh? To sabotage me? You're hilarious, Warren, really. So sad and frail but you think you're capable of taking me down? I swear every day you prove more and more why your father abandoned you." A low blow, but Lilith was as shallow as they came. He was blind. She could use that to her advantage. The snake had been electrified by him, seizing for a short time. Her magic had been disturbed. She rebuilt the reinforcements, more powerful this time, and let the snake creep up behind him. "Get out of my way unless you wanna die with the rest of them." Now she equipped herself with armor, from head to toe, and finalized it with a sizable sword. She was more then ready to behead him with the rest of them. Lilith didn't know why she hadn't killed him down in the Underworld. Too many missed opportunities but this.. this was the last straw. He was protecting the enemy because he was one of them. He wanted to be one of them for the sake of proving his daddy wrong. Her father was blind to that.
xxxxxxxxThreats, as she suspected, were not enough. He was in front of her and shoved her back, lightning making contact with magic. It sent her flying back but she was on her feet fast, charging at him and emitting a cacophonous battle cry in the process. Her sword sliced the back of his legs first, blood pounding in her ears and blocking whatever he happened to be going on about. She caught his second sentence though and only laughed, "Need I remind you who started this? It wasn't me. Let Zeus bring hell to the Underworld, I'll take him and deal with him accordingly. He doesn't frighten me." She stopped then, watched his mask crack. Killing him was at the forefront of her mind. "Do it. Save them. Then I'll kill you." She brought the sword to his neck, pushing the blade against uncut skin. "They aren't your friends, Warren. They were just trying to murder you. I'm only threatening you now because I know what you're about to do. Tell me, please, where were they when your beloved father cast you out? Not there trying to save you, I'll bet." Remind him who he was, where he came from. He wanted to be one of them, fine, but right now was not the time to be switching sides. She let her sword fall. Sirens blasted outside, officers were demanding they be let in. Lilith blocked it all out, peeking over her shoulder and smiling when she saw what was going on behind her. Carnage. The demons were all still skirmishing.
xxxxxxxxA rush ran through her being. The taste of success was sweet and on the tip of her tongue. She'd be back in the Underworld before she knew it. When someone, anyone was dead, this would all disappear. The snake, the demons, the magic trapping the outside world from being able to get in. Her hallucinations couldn't stay in place forever or else she'd just use that. Hallucinations. Her next step, let Warren see his father enraged and unforgiving. If her words didn't work that was bound to.

once outside, a sense of relief washed over tobias as the cool breeze hit his sweat drenched skin. closing his eyes as he enjoyed the sensation. it only made sense that a hydrokinesis user preferred the cold over the heat. feeling his brother slump to the ground beside him, causing his eyes to open and his attention to avert back onto him. “Thanks Toby.” a small smile tugged at his lips, not a sly one, but a genuine one. tobias would do anything for his brother, even if it meant he was to risk dying so be it. the two have always been there for one another, and it wasn't going to change anytime soon. warren was the only one who truly knew tobias, before in olympus, and now in the underworld. well, other than talos. tobias frowned as unwanted memories began to creep back into his head. stepping back, tobias lifted his gaze to be greeted by the two girls that he had told to follow after them. now looking at them, he recognized them both. celeste and alina. both demigods that they were after. celeste was his assigned target. feeling his phone go off, he slipped his hand into his pocket to pull it out to see the one and only hades messaged him. telling him to kill alina, and if not to bring her to lilith. lifting his silver gaze and looking at alina, the daughter of apollo. her red hair seemed even bright in the darkness of the night, as did her emerald green eyes filled with innocence.

screams pierced the air but dulled from the thick metal door they had exited from. watching the door, trying to imagine what would be going on, though only made his fists curl in anger. “I’m going back inside Tobias. They don't deserve her wrath.” warren's words caught him off guard. why would he want to go back in? he was blind and would be a walking target. there was only so much he could avoid from their training back in olympus blindfolded. though before tobias could say or do anything warren had disappeared inside. shock and panic filled tobias, as his heart seemed to race a bit in worry for his brother. all he could see was his brother's lifeless mortal body on the cold ground, blood streaking from the corner of his mouth as a puddle lay beneath him. a growl escaped his lips, as he turned to the girls, "go! get out of here while you can." lilith was going to kill him for letting them go, but he would scrape by. he always did. tobias knew he would only feel guilt if he saw alina dead on the ground, as much as he wanted to get rid of those feelings he couldn't help it. she was far to innocent to experience that. grabbing the door handle, he glanced back at alina, silver eyes filled with sympathy and hoping for forgiveness. with that he darted back inside after his brother to save his butt again.

so much seemed to have happened whilst he had been out in the alleyway. those few inside were on the ground injured and some near on deaths bed. silver eyes darting from person to person, feeling his heart lurch as he felt guilt begin to form. why was he guilty for them? this was what hades and the underworld have turned him into. it was what he was suppose to do. though he couldn't control it. the sting of guilt burned his eyes, and formed a lump in his throat that he couldn't swallow away. though it quickly subsided when he spotted his brother with lilith. seeing her sword slice at the back of his legs, before putting it up to his neck. even though he loved her, he wouldn't let her kill his brother. anger bubbled in his veins, and he knew what he had to do. without a second of hesitation, he sprinted forward, avoiding the demons that were around fighting, though they didn't seem to have any interest on turning on him. closing in on his brother and lilith, he jumped forward, knocking lilith to the ground where he pinned her down. a smirk appeared on his features as he looked down at her, "ah my beautiful lilith..." he purred as he leaned down to her ear, "i would have preferred to pin you down in more private in a much different situation...." tobias whispered huskily, before pulling away to look back at her. "though my brother has a point," he began on a much more serious note, "the mission is to kill the targets, not the soldiers Zeus sent. besides, if we kill them, who are we going to torment for the next few centuries, hmmm?" tobias winked down at the princess, with a flirtatious glint his eyes before averting his gaze back to his brother. how much he wished he could help him with his blindness, maybe there was a way he could, but for now he had no idea and had much more pressing matters at hand. well, he had the princess of the underworld pinned under him for one. not to mention, stopping her from killing the light soldiers right now. if this works, they owe him their lives. not that he had his fingers crossed that it would, but the son of oceanus can be quite persuading...sometimes.

Warren glared up menacingly at her through dark emerald eyes hooded by his thick, dark eyelashes. The sword against his throat pressed threateningly up against his windpipe, shorting his access to oxygen. Pain flared in the back of his thighs and he could feel the steady drip of blood pooling around his calves as leaned back slightly away from her sword. As the snake came back to life again, he cursed himself for not putting enough juice into the electric shock, but he would not make that mistake again. Her words slipped meaninglessly through one ear and out the other. He had stopped listening to a word she said a long time ago. He briefly caught the part about his father, the venom in the words dripping out of her mouth as she dropped the weapon away from his neck. She meant to speak sense into his foggy mind, but it did quite the opposite, enraging him further, almost to the point of no return. He sucked in a clarifying deep breath as he faltered a little bit on his knees, the throbbing in the back of his legs making itself more prominent.

“You know, Lilith, sometimes you outta just shut up.” He retorted, the spite in his voice matching the confidence in hers. His sightless eyes scanned the area without luck, he became more frustrated with the loss of his eyes more than anything. He could clearly hear the sounds of more demons fighting with Lilith’s will against the demi-gods, who were more than likely having a hard time with the more advanced summoning’s. His attention was snapped back to the women in front of him when he heard running and what sounded like the tackling of the goddess. A smug smile wrapped around his lips as he identified the deep voice of his brother. Cringing at what Tobias whispered into her ear, he shook his head in effort to expel the thought from his head. Gross.

Warren staggered to his feet, snaking his hand around the edge of a nearby table to steady himself as he stood. The flow of blood increased ten-fold from the back of his legs as he shakily leaned against the wood for support. He could really use the help of his brother’s water healing right now, but he figured it would have to wait until he was freed up. He ran a hand through the dirty brunette mess that was his hair and then rubbed the back of his neck in thought. There was no way these demi-gods were going to escape if Lilith kept trying to murder them with all she had. He was going to have to do something. Right now, was not the time for killing, especially in front of a whole crowd of mortals who were currently trying to bust down the front doors. First, he needed to get rid of the slithering death that was her metal snake that would most likely bring end to everyone in the vicinity if she chose. He interlaced his fingers, pushing them back and outwards to crack his knuckles while rolling his shoulders back. Warren closed his useless eyes and focused on the power inside of him. His body drew electricity from the nearby broken pipes and loosely hanging wires that stuck from the ceiling, visibly charging his own black lightning up as it licked and popped around his form. It grew and grew until his body appeared to be a mass of ebony lightning, the deafening sound of thunder shaking the already destroyed room. If she wanted to play dirty, he would play dirtier. His arms stretched outwards, in the direction of the beast’s metal head, and let the lightning rip away from his core and directly into the mouth of the snake. Thunder boomed again through the entire hotel, the screech of the lightning drowning out everything else. The head of the metal being exploded into a million little pieces, effectively ending the life of the summoning. Warren felt the strain of exerting the amount of power he did, his legs shook as he grasped the edge of the table again to keep from falling to his knees. He swallowed thickly, regaining his strength slowly in his mortal body, much to his distain. He figured that would lighten the load of fighting the protectors had to do to protect their charges, not worrying about a monster snake and all.

He turned his senses to the other side of the room were Troius and Joey were still huddled underneath the bar, and once again he felt a small about of guilt for making them that way. Salem was fighting along with Liberty against the second round of demons she had summoned. What a nuisance. Warren growled in frustration at his endless eternal battle, running an exasperated hand through his mussed up hair again. He stood with purpose and meagerly made his way over to the two cowering males underneath the overhang of the bar. “Get up, you gotta get outta here before she kills you.” He muttered in hard, insistent tone, leaning down to speak to them. His calloused hand gripped Troius by his upper left arm, careful not to touch the one he previously broke. Yanking him to his feet, he leaned down and scooped Joey’s limp body into his arms, cradling him against his chest. The nagging feeling of doing something wrong pulled at his conscience as he turned to cast his sightless gaze on Troy. He opened his mouth to speak but thought better of it, turning on his heel and willed his legs to work as he staggered towards the nearest exit, which happened to be the back door he had ripped off. He did not bother to check of Troius was following them, assuming he would because he figured Joey was his assignment as much as he had been fawning over him. Warren stumbled out of the back door; Joey still curled up in his arms as he got down on one knee to set him on the concrete. He turned to Troy, the small amount of composure he had left dissolving and he offered him a small frown, his brows furrowing in obvious sorrow. He did not have to speak to express his resent to the white-haired male. “I’m not who you think I am.” Warren mumbled, more to himself than anything, as turned and ducked back inside the building.

    JOEY !!!
son of dionysus | tagged/mentioned: warren, troius
thunder crashed overhead, deafening, but joey was focused on other things. he’d decided it was time to lay down and stay down, give up the ghost if that was what this meant, but suddenly someone was taking a hold of him. he struggled, just for a moment, until he recognised the voice above him. “troy,” he breathed, blood bubbling up through his teeth. troy wouldn’t leave him here, at least. joey knew he was wounded too, and they were going to have to get out of here or risk succumbing to lilith. he was thinking, smashed-in face contorted in pain.

a disgusting crack caught his attention; his nose, snapping back into place. he cried out but tried to force himself to relax in troy’s arms. in the back of his mind, this was familiar; he remembered begging troy to stay years ago, for his own safety. settling in his lap to keep him from leaving. we’ve been here before. he had been the one doing the healing, but his injuries were worse now. so much was happening at once, but here they were, in the eye of it. the feeling of bones coming back together, settling in place like a puzzle, was gross. made his skin crawl. it was necessary, though. he trusted that troy knew what he was doing.

were they moving? joey braced, exhausted from the stunt he’d pulled but ready to try and get to his feet to get the hell out of there. warren’s voice off to his left made him tense, palm flat against troy’s chest for comfort, but then troy was coming out from under him and he dropped gracelessly onto his front and into a handful of glass. sick. love that. the demigod picked his hand up and tried to wipe it on his jeans, but then someone was lifting him off of the floor and something about the way they held him was just slightly off, but he assumed it was just troy having trouble - he was injured, joey had no idea how badly. best not to let him know anything was amiss. joey settled against his chest, fought the urge to hold troy’s shirt in his fist affectionately.

they were moving, suddenly, and the whole thing was rocky but he couldn't do any better himself so the son of dionysus didn’t even try to complain. he let troy carry him through it trustingly and at the sound of a door opening, he started to try and get out of his hold to move on his own, but then they went down, and he made contact with the cold concrete. joey said his name again, turned his head and finally tried to get a look at him.

    that was not troius.

joseph pulled himself into a sitting position in the alleyway and watched warren with a suddenly angered expression, reached up to touch his own face. that would leave a pretty bruise. as warren disappeared joey forced himself to find the nearest wall, work his way up until he was standing. his shoulders pressed into it, and he eyed troy as he leaned. “you look wrecked, beautiful.

tagged salem, joey, & warren mentioned idk tbh role assigned to protect joseph

gunshots, flying knives, thunder booming, lesser demons shrieking, a ring of fire, a random wolf. troius never entertained the idea of keeping a bucket list, but now he certainly didn't have to. there was enough excitement in a 2-hour night than he ever asked for in his 900 years, and if he could avoid these people for the rest of his life, he'd jump at the chance. what the actual hell was going on? was it actually hell? a swarm of demons headed for him and joey was gunned down before another batch appeared, and though he was confident he could obliterate them with a wave of a glowy hand, did he even want to? surely lilith would just keep conjuring them, and he'd be playing into some twisted hellish loop. no, thanks.

a wolf with salem's voice approached, a knife sunken into one of her back legs. troius winced, reached out to her, and without really thinking it through he yanked the weapon one and sent it clattering to the sticky floor. yay, more blood, he sarcastically mused as he pressed his hand against the wound to heal it. "sorry, sorry, sorry, but, like, it was a knife," he quickly explained as the gash began to close up. her nose prodded joey's prone form and troy nodded, ever so grateful for the shapeshifting demigod. he'd have to get her name at some point, maybe even find out her origin story. it would have to be at a time when the princess of hell wasn't battling two of its damned princes, but, you know. someday soon.

suddenly, a familiarly tall figure approached the group and leaned down to address them. troius tensed, eyeing warren's clouded eyes with disdain and half a mind to poke them out and finish the job. he wanted to snap, curse him out for having the audacity to even approach them after all he'd done? despicable. warren's grip was around his arm before he could protest, hoisting him up to his feet. troy staggered──maybe from shock, from exhaustion, from the endless glass shards littering the floor──and stared at warren with confusion. didn't...he want to kill them too? not just lilith? he had scooped joey up and began carrying him outside, and troy followed without hesitation. it didn't appear to be in the name of malice, but the last time he laid a hand on joey, his face basically exploded. so he couldn't possibly be too careful. he glanced back at salem, brows furrowed, and would have shrugged at her had he not feared further injuring his arm. soon, he was outside with the two men and the sounds of chaos were surprisingly left behind, for the most part. warren laid joey down on the concrete, and troy moved to rush to his side, but stopped short at the sound of warren's voice, quiet, hesitant, entirely unlike the warren that attacked him just minutes before.

"i am not who you think i am." wait, what? troius hastily grabbed warren's arm right as he disappeared through the doorway. it surprised him, but he went with it, gripping the fabric of his blazer between trembling fingers. "warr...what? what do you mean?" he searched the other's foggy gaze, fighting back the pain that crept through his right side as the adrenaline began to wear off. his grip tightened slightly for just a moment, and he pulled back to join joey. his dear joey, so determined against all odds, was shakily bringing himself to his feet. troy was completely relieved to see his face was, you know, no longer broken, though the bruises and dried blood remained. he managed to laugh when the other spoke and reached out to take one of his hands. "you've seen better days too, huh?"

So many things were happening at once it made her head swirl. The giant snake, the demons - it was all something she definitely hadn't planned on dealing with. In all honesty, it was terrifying. She released Joey from her grip for a moment, cringing in pain as the white-haired man ripped the knife out of her back leg. Comforted by his words, she took the moment to look around her and try to truly grasp what was going on. It was as if she was watching a horribly fast-paced action movie - everything seemed to blur together as it all happened simultaneously. Usually she was all for some fast-paced adventures, but right now she was tired, hurt, and almost completely out of energy. Her eyes traveled to the woman who seemed to be the main cause of it all - she was threatening in a way that Salem felt would even make Michael Myers shiver. Still, there was definitely an incredibly attractive quality to her - a shame that it seems she was so committed to being the worst being in existence.

At Warren's approach, Salem let out a small growl, her ears pinning behind her head as she prepared to defend the two demigods with her life. However, it seemed unnecessary, watching as the blind Warren simply picked Joey up and carried him to relative safety, earning a glance from Troy that was equally confused as hers. Standing back for a moment, she took a moment to compose herself. Now that the adrenaline was running out, she could feel all the glass shards that had pierced her skin and her paws. It would probably be better to wait to transform back, as Salem wasn't sure she liked the possibilities of where the glass stuck into the skin of her tail would go when she did. With a sigh, she followed Warren, Joey, and Troy, cringing with each step as she felt glass shards, old and new, pierce her skin. At least her back leg didn't hurt as much - it seemed Troy had some healing capabilities. Maybe he'd be willing to help her get all of these annoying little pieces of glass out.

Passing by Warren as he came back into the building, she had half a mind to trip him for all the trouble he caused. After all, if he hadn't started all that chaos in the first place with the destruction of the liquor, maybe they wouldn't be in this position. Still, her better nature took control, causing her to sigh heavily as she turned to him. "Sorry for blinding you Reid. Maybe I'm too friendly, but I'd rather that than being a cruel person like you." Clearly, she hadn't forgiven him for earlier. With that, she let out a deep sigh, her ears pinning against her head as the guilt of being so mean towards others got to her. Deciding the best action was to move forward, she joined Joey and Troy, who seemed to be doing slightly better. At least Joey was conscious now.

Collapsing as soon as she reached them, a pained whine escaped her before she could stop it from escaping her muzzle. Turning her head upwards, she got a better look at the two men in front of her. "I'm Salem, by the way. You probably didn't recognize me uh... Hank, was it? Since I was human when we met," she said, not quite certain in her words. He really didn't look like a Hank to her, but then again, she wouldn't blame him for lying to her - almost everyone did at some point. She stayed on the ground, deciding moving and agitating her wounds when she was so low on energy probably wasn't the best idea. "Hope you guys are holding up okay - you both look pretty busted up. If you give me a second to just... get some energy back, I might be strong enough to carry one of you if you need it."

[ 🗡.` I HERD 'EM LIKE CATTLE !! ]

      ♛ 🗡x────────────────xxLILITHxx──────
NAME. lilith abaddon ` STATUS. persephone/hades' daughter ` ASSIGNMENTS. alina ` TAG(S). tobias > liberty > alleyway group
xxxxxxxx𝐈'𝐋𝐋 𝐒𝐇𝐎𝐖 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐀 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐋 𝐐𝐔𝐄𝐄𝐍 𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊𝐒 𝐋𝐈𝐊𝐄.
xxxxxxxxThe brunette was rightfully taken aback when Tobias pinned her down. With the weight of her armor and increased strength there must have been something else here at play for him to have the ability to execute such a move. They were both traitors. Lilith didn’t care who you were, if you were in her way, she was bound to off you. This was one of those cases. Too headstrong to give in, Lilith spat in Tobias’ face before shoving him off of her. He should know who was on top, and it wasn’t him. “Stay in your lane,” she hissed. He honestly thought flirting with her was going to stop her? He was more naive then she gave him credit for. She was confident he had let her own target off the hook. A foolish move to have trusted these imbeciles even an ounce. This was a mission she’d be doing all on her own, with Warren and Tobias against her, and instead standing side by side with the rest of the protectors. They really thought their beloved parents were going to take them back? That they wanted them? She had failed to get it through Warren’s thick skull and it seemed the same could be said for Tobias. As close as the pair were, and that might have been the reason Tobias was actively trying to prevent her from causing any more damage, she wouldn't give him the benefit of the doubt. Mark him a betrayer and leave it at that. Lilith had come to terms with it.
xxxxxxxxShe had failed to stop Warren due to the incident with Tobias. Didn't mean she couldn't still stop him, but now she risked serious exposure depending on where he'd taken them. Another battle was certain to break out between she and Warren and quite possibly Tobias. She reached for the sword that had fallen when she was pushed back and lifted it to Tobias' throat, "Do that, ever again, and I won't hesitate to end your life on the spot." As if she wasn't already contemplating that. Warren was the main concern but he was a close second. Liberty was the only one still in the building. She was a Goddess though from what Lilith could tell, not a demi. Did she kill her anyway? It was one less protector they were up against. If she weakened the opposing forces the victory wouldn't be nearly as sweet. In long, rushed strides she stood before Liberty. Running the tip of the blade under her chin, Lilith smiled down at her then in one unforeseen move slashed it across her right arm. She cut deep, purposefully. Then she leaned down, taking her by the throat, and stated, "You don't fool me, Goddess. Better luck next time." She released her then and turned around, noting the charred metal pieces and the body of the snake Warren had "killed". It served no purpose now.
xxxxxxxxNow she was headed towards the exit. Where she saw her favorite person, Warren, and his posse take off to. They were rather easy to find seeing it was right around the corner. "Fancy seeing you all here!" Lilith exclaimed before approaching the bunch. "Strong work, you've got three right here for us to take back!" She clapped Warren on the back and grinned. Now the sounds that were just a ways away couldn't be avoided. They seemed to echo off the many skyscrapers and fill the afternoon air. How she would go about disguising herself was undetermined and not of her concern. She was in the presence of four immortals who all wanted her dead. The only one who wasn't standing close to his last leg was Warren. He would be soon enough, and his blindness was only to her personal gain.

    Liberty Bennett
Daughter of Athena Light Soldier of Zeus Assigned: Alina Tags; Salem, Joey, Troy, Warren, Lilith
    ─────────────────────────────────────────────────
xxLiberty was to her feet by the time the knife knicked Lilith. She was really testing her luck tonight. Which reminded her that she should probably offer a sacrifice to the goddess of luck, Tyche, who really seemed to be on her side tonight. Lilith sent her demonic minion soldiers her way, only to have one shot into ashes and another to falter. Liberty glanced around the bar trying to find the source of the bullet and she found who she was looking for. Warren. Maybe he wasn't so bad after all. But Liberty certainly didn't need his help anymore. She wasn't the naive teenager she once was. While she was stuck in thought, the demonic soldier got to her, it's blade right at her face. The woman tried to move back as far as possible but the creature still managed to give her a cut on her face which was now dripping blood. Liberty swung her leg beneath the soldier, knocking it's legs out from underneath it. Liberty crouched to the ground beside it, removing her last dagger from her boot where it was still concealed. She drove the finely crafted blade into her enemy's chest. It burst into ashes and Liberty let out the breath she was holding. Lilith's attack seemed to stop and things seemed momentarily quiet.

xxLiberty looked up up at the figure standing before her. Lilith was truly a force to be reckoned with. It led Liberty to wonder how much of her abilities she'd truly showcased tonight. It was probably just the tip of the iceberg. Liberty went to sit up in order to mouth back to the demonic goddess, but she was just met with a sharp cut to the arm. So much for Tyche being on her side. When released by Lilith, she forced herself up, almost crying out in pain. Now she was alone in the bar, everyone else fleeing to who knows where. The goddess forced herself up, cutting off a portion of her shirt in order to apply the pressure she needed to keep her wound from becoming too lethal. And then she collected up her dagger, running her fingers over the intricate designs on the handle. It was a gift from her mother, given to her about 150 years ago. It was one of her most prized items.

xxLiberty slipped the dagger back into the place on her hip and then took her leave, exiting out into the alley where the others were. Liberty closed the door to the bar since it seemed that it served it's purpose and now wasn't needed. Liberty leaned against the wall, gaining her strength back in order for her to get somewhere with medical supplies. There had to be a corner store around here somewhere. She needed the supplies to close her wound or else she'd bleed out. And with that, she made her way to the street, glancing over at the noise of Salem, Warren, Troy, and Joey trying to escape, only to be caught up by Lilith. Liberty leaned against the building again, taking deep and calming breaths to try and calm herself down. She was out of earshot of the group, but she watched the interaction and readied herself in case she needed to jump in again.

    Celeste Jordan
Daughter of Hephaestus Tags; Alina, Tobias
    ─────────────────────────────────────────────────
xxCeleste flinched when Tobias yelled for them to go but she wasn't going to argue with the man. Her grip around her new friend tightened as she let her pace quicken. They needed to get away from the carnage and Celeste knew just the place. There was a convenient store just a bit further up the street. Once they were there, Celeste knew they'd be alright. "Come on, Alina," Celeste cried, fear seeping from her voice as she continued onto the main street. "We've gotta get out of here before we get hurt. I know a way." Celeste was just trying to be helpful. She wanted to make sure they were okay, but there was always uncertainty. New York City was her turf, though, so she should've been able to get them to a safe place away from all of the chaos.
