- Piercing her lips, she nodded at the answer she got. She wanted to tell him that it was obvious she would be worried, but she kept her mouth shut all the same. It was no surprise that probably every demigod here was having trouble with sleeping. Afterall, no matter how much they seemed to run the monsters always catched up with them. Clenching her fists, she bit her lip and watched as he cracked more eggs. The smell filled her nose and as good as it smelt, she didn’t really feel like eating anymore. Her eyes were trained so hard on the crackling fire, when Myles spoke up she almost jumped. Meeting his eyes, her rapid fire thoughts were already dying down and she let out a breath. She just felt so lost during a time like this. She felt as if she was stumbling through the darkness hoping she got lucky and found a little bit of light. It made her feel stupid, because Harmony could almost feel everyone else ahead of her doing fine while she tripped over her own feet. “Yeah I got it,” she said to Myles and she scooted past him and properly scrambled the eggs. This brought her back to making eggs with her dad. He would know what to do right about now.
Harmony’s attention was drawn to Olympia waving at her and Myles. Waving back respectfully, she went back to making the eggs. Her and Olympia were pretty similar, but they had a lot of differences as well. As much as Harmony thought Olympia would make a cool friend, they just didn’t click. So she didn’t mind respecting her as a strong woman and someone who has her back. She finished up the eggs and put them on a plate just as Myles yelled that breakfast was ready to eat. Harmony sighed. If she smelled like eggs for the rest of the day she was going to hunt down a bath if it killed her. Grabbing her attention next was two young men, Shiram and Kyros, heading towards the water. Harmony was pretty good friends with Ram. He was a sweet person and his taste in food reflected that, which was always good company for Harmony. The latter not so much. They got along. Sometimes. But right now she didn’t want to face him. A lot of emotions swirled inside of her at the sight of him. Guilt, anger, maybe even shame. Looking back on the fight they had before the attack, it seemed to stupid now. A waste of energy for what was about to happen. If only she could predict the future like a prophecy.
Grabbing a plate for herself, she turned to Myles as he asked a question. She felt her cheeks redden even more as her smile widened. “Sure that sounds great. Something to look forward to,” she said, her heart beating a little faster. Before she could start eating, a soft voice spoke up behind them and she turned to face Rosalie. She smiled. “Well I wouldn’t say I did much of the work. And the water does look nice,” she said, her eyes grabbing Myles for a second before turning back to Rosalie with a grin. Walking over to the girl she nudged her a little playfully, before talking quietly so no one would hear her. “Remember to speak up. You’re important and everyone should be able to hear what you have to say,” she said, before giving her a thumbs up encouragingly. Turning away satisfied, she made it back to the picnic table behind Myles before setting down her plate and sitting down. She smiled at the pair, before she turned to attention to her food as she started to eat slowly, her mind wandering to both her mom and dad. She could only hope that they were doing okay.
