Piercing her lips, she nodded at the answer she got. She wanted to tell him that it was obvious she would be worried, but she kept her mouth shut all the same. It was no surprise that probably every demigod here was having trouble with sleeping. Afterall, no matter how much they seemed to run the monsters always catched up with them. Clenching her fists, she bit her lip and watched as he cracked more eggs. The smell filled her nose and as good as it smelt, she didn’t really feel like eating anymore. Her eyes were trained so hard on the crackling fire, when Myles spoke up she almost jumped. Meeting his eyes, her rapid fire thoughts were already dying down and she let out a breath. She just felt so lost during a time like this. She felt as if she was stumbling through the darkness hoping she got lucky and found a little bit of light. It made her feel stupid, because Harmony could almost feel everyone else ahead of her doing fine while she tripped over her own feet. “Yeah I got it,” she said to Myles and she scooted past him and properly scrambled the eggs. This brought her back to making eggs with her dad. He would know what to do right about now.

Harmony’s attention was drawn to Olympia waving at her and Myles. Waving back respectfully, she went back to making the eggs. Her and Olympia were pretty similar, but they had a lot of differences as well. As much as Harmony thought Olympia would make a cool friend, they just didn’t click. So she didn’t mind respecting her as a strong woman and someone who has her back. She finished up the eggs and put them on a plate just as Myles yelled that breakfast was ready to eat. Harmony sighed. If she smelled like eggs for the rest of the day she was going to hunt down a bath if it killed her. Grabbing her attention next was two young men, Shiram and Kyros, heading towards the water. Harmony was pretty good friends with Ram. He was a sweet person and his taste in food reflected that, which was always good company for Harmony. The latter not so much. They got along. Sometimes. But right now she didn’t want to face him. A lot of emotions swirled inside of her at the sight of him. Guilt, anger, maybe even shame. Looking back on the fight they had before the attack, it seemed to stupid now. A waste of energy for what was about to happen. If only she could predict the future like a prophecy.

Grabbing a plate for herself, she turned to Myles as he asked a question. She felt her cheeks redden even more as her smile widened. “Sure that sounds great. Something to look forward to,” she said, her heart beating a little faster. Before she could start eating, a soft voice spoke up behind them and she turned to face Rosalie. She smiled. “Well I wouldn’t say I did much of the work. And the water does look nice,” she said, her eyes grabbing Myles for a second before turning back to Rosalie with a grin. Walking over to the girl she nudged her a little playfully, before talking quietly so no one would hear her. “Remember to speak up. You’re important and everyone should be able to hear what you have to say,” she said, before giving her a thumbs up encouragingly. Turning away satisfied, she made it back to the picnic table behind Myles before setting down her plate and sitting down. She smiled at the pair, before she turned to attention to her food as she started to eat slowly, her mind wandering to both her mom and dad. She could only hope that they were doing okay.

male || twenty-one || son of hades || tags; ky

indentRam felt some tension eased from his body as Ky's eyes turned back to brown. He relaxed further as he watched Ky calm down, a soft smile gracing his face once more until drops of water hit him in the face. A small laugh escaped his lips before he slowly remembered the circumstances that caused him to swim out to Ky in the first place. His face flushed when Ky pulled his arms, putting them around his broad shoulders, he had known Ky for a long time and knew that would ever just occurred was serious enough for him to avoid looking at Shiram.
indentRam froze when Ky began to speak of the things he witnessed since the destruction of the camp. He knew of seeing visions of the dead and hearing their screams. The small demi-god remembered the days when he felt like he was going crazy when he first started realizing that other people couldn't see and hear the dead as he could. But he had grown used to it, he didn't want Ky or any of the others to have to become used to the visions of them too. Even now, he could hear the voices of those who had met a watery grave or had perished nearby. His heart hurt for the other demi-god, for him to have to watch his half-siblings...he couldn't imagine his own pain he was forced to see his sisters die.
indentHe had never seen Ky seem so broken, he held out a hand to the other demi-god, "I wish you'd told me sooner or at least someone, but I understand why you didn't. But please never apologize for sharing how you feel, or well anything at all, with me." Ram reached up, nearly on his tippy toes to put his hand on top of Ky's head. A sad smile formed on his face, "It can be terrifying seeing and hearing the dead, having visions of them even if they are hallucinations, it doesn't make the sight any less painful. I don't want to tell you what to do, but I will offer you some advice. " He took the male's hands and placed them against the cool water, "To block out the visions and the screams, you must focus on your surroundings. Focus on what you can touch like the water or the stone, note the smells in the air, it may seem harsh for the son of Hades to be saying this but even I have to ignore the dead at times in order to stay sane."
indentShiram look around the river and let out a soft sigh, "It won't be easy, mourning what you've lost and removing the terrible things you've seen from the front of your memory will take time. What I have advised is just as challenging, I can't bear to ignore them because of how loud or aggressive they get." He took the demi-god's hand again and squeezed them gently," But I am here for you, let me help you, please."

ky took ram’s smaller, softer hand. he still didn’t have the strength to look up to him. he rubbed his calloused thumb over ram’s knuckles. he tuned into his words. ”i just knew everyone else was dealing with it on their own and i didn’t want to bother anyone.” he got out barely. he had heard some of the others stirr in their sleep, but none of them had mentioned it to him. so he thought they all just had their own ways to cope by themselves, therefore, he just did it on his own trying not to involve anyone. on their journey to spain, he had heard and seen a couple of hallucinations, but he would step away from the group with an excuse of needing to use the restroom or needing water. instead he would either go destroy something or just plain out cry. he was good at hiding his emotions when they were moving, but now that they were in a safe place for a moment everything caught up and hit ky with brute force.
ky looked into ram’s eyes as the male put his other hand on ky’s forehead. ”i forgot, this must seem so stu-” he sputtered out before ram continued. he had completely forgotten that ram basically saw the dead everyday of his life. it was one of his abilities. ky’s expression became anxious for a moment, before ram set his hands on the water’s surface. he then relaxed a bit again, and listened intently on what he was saying, because ky truly needed the advice. he nodded and closed his eyes. touch and smell. he thought to himself. he felt the water. the slight coldness of it, and how it didn’t bother him in the slightest. he had been in colder water, especially sea water during a storm. it was his favorite time to be in the water. under the water it was calm, but the surface was purely chaotic. it reminded him of himself, calm balanced with chaos. he then thought of the smell. it smelled like fresh water mixed in with pine or fern. ky didn’t necessarily know the difference between the two, but he could recognize the smell as a tree. he opened his eyes as ram squeezed his hands. ”ok.” he agreed. he squeezed ram’s hands back before letting go.
he then leaned back. the water crashed against his back. he then put his legs up towards the surface so he could just float. he then thought he probably looked rather stupid doing that, so he then stood back up. ”but let’s worry about that later.” he said to briefly ignore his breakdown. he gave ram a somber smile right before eyes turned light blue once more. he then lightly moved the water so it would gently splash ram in the face. ky knew ram might get a tad upset at ky’s ignorance of the moment, but he knew ram would end up laughing in the end. that was the way ky was, serious and completely broken to fun and joking. he gave a quiet laugh as the water splashed over ram’s face.

          KLAUS ADHARAxxx
I.xcis male II. 25 years oldx III.xthe son of aresx IV.xtagged: olympia, the group

indentklaus felt irritated. which was nothing new, considering who he was and his godly parent, but he was beginning to feel prickly once more.
indentit was easy for klaus to express his displeasure with anger. he was not an empathetic person and he is not one to open up easily to anyone. he found it better to swallow his feelings than confront them and honestly, it never bothered him too much. of course, he had his own fair share of feelings about the attack on their camp but he hasn't voiced them and he probably never will. hell, klaus didn't even get along with half of the demi-gods in this group so he'd never voice how he truly feels to any of them, even if he did get along with some of them. to klaus, it was easier to just store away those feelings. either way, they didn't have time to mope about their situation. sitting around crying about it isn't going to get them anywhere. they have to be survivalists and to be survivalists, they have to be rational. they couldn't stay here for long. monsters are attracted to the scent of demi-gods and if monsters are specifically targeting demi-gods, their location would be discovered sooner or later. klaus refused for his final moments to consist of him eating breakfast before some sort of ghoulish creature appeared from the woodland and threw itself at him.
indentspeaking of breakfast, he caught the scent of bacon and eggs wafting through the air. it was enough to drown out the pungent scent of the swamp, if only briefly. it appeared that myles was cooking breakfast. lovely. while he appreciated his efforts, they didn't really have time to sit down and eat all morning. maybe it was just klaus who felt paranoid but he honestly felt like they had targets on their backs. he felt like if they weren't constantly moving, their chances of being attacked and killed increased. granted, none of them are particularly weak and he was sure that they could find their way through a group of monsters but they could also be quickly overwhelmed. he remembered seeing hundreds upon hundreds of monsters storming their stronghold - to the point where even their superiors, seasoned warriors, had to resort to fleeing because they simply could not fight so many creatures at once.
indentafter putting down the axes, he winced at the sharp pain that once more resonated from his back. it felt like he had some sort of open wound, even though he was perfectly fine. it felt like someone had stabbed a sword through his back and it's been feeling that way for the past few weeks. ugh. maybe he should let a monster just put him out of his misery. anything is better than this. his attention was drawn to the space next to him when another demi-god, olympia, came to stand next to him. she spoke about breakfast, telling him not to miss out on it. honestly, klaus was not hungry. he hasn't truly felt hungry in a while and he only ate when his stomach began to ache out of hunger pains. he lacked an appetite and he was sure he wasn't the only one in the group who was going through that. still, he did not feel like arguing with olympia about it. "mhm," he agreed. klaus had a bad streak of being sucked into confrontation over the slightest of things but it was still dawn; he needed somewhat of a break. "everything was... quiet. for the most part. but we can't stay here. you already know how fast monsters can sniff out demi-gods." he's had his fair share of arguments with olympia. sometimes they did not always see eye to eye or one was more eager than the other to throw themselves into harm's way to deflect the attention of said attacker on others but out of most of the group, he'd much rather prefer being in her company. they could get along in the right circumstances.
indenthe motioned for the young woman to follow him before he made his way over to where myles, harmony and rosalie were at. he had noticed that kyros and ram snuck off in the direction of one of the nearby rivers. are you serious? this is no time to be swimming. granted, he knew kyros often had to be submerged in water every once and a while like the fish he is but with their luck, they'd be playing around in the water and some marine monster would be lurking underneath the surface, ready to strike. the surrounding woodland seemed to be more of a swamp than anything else, so klaus wouldn't trust swimming in any of the bodies of water here. well, to each their own, he supposed. he'd gladly come to ram's rescue if the younger man ever needed it and while klaus wouldn't really mind something bitting kyros on the arse, he'd still probably help the man if he ever really needed any sort of aid. that was probably klaus with a lot of people. even if he did not get along with them, he wouldn't sit by idly while they're in danger. well, maybe. depends on the person. some people, he could care less.
indent"we need to quickly eat, pack up and then head out," he announced to those who were awake. "and it's time to wake up, sleeping beauties," he barked at those who were still asleep, giving an outstretched leg a light jab. he went over to his sleeping bag, pulling out his greatsword that he had hidden underneath it. it was a rather large and heavy weapon, one that required muscle to swing since it was larger than the average sword. he sheathed it across his back before he rolled up his sleeping bag. "we can't stay here for long. you all already know that monsters can easily pick up the scent of demi-gods, and there's some monsters that are known to live in swamp regions like this. plus, if that man at the harbor is right with his speculations that monsters are beginning to specifically target groups of demi-gods, i wouldn't be surprised if there are some here who are searching for demi-gods to kill. i was thinking we could stop at one of the cities nearby, too. we're running low on supplies." klaus also pulled out several sharp daggers he had laid underneath his sleeping bag, too, shoving them into their sheathes on his belt. he was armed to the teeth but one could only expect that from a son of ares.
indentklaus was not necessarily a leader. he was more than fine following along with someone else - if their orders are reasonable, of course - but he didn't mind taking the reins in certain circumstances, too. he was the oldest out of the group but that did not mean he necessarily felt responsible for them. he felt more protective of certain demi-gods then others, though, that's for sure. and klaus was not trying to be bossy; he was just trying to be logical, careful and evaluative of what they need to do. he was keeping their safety in mind. he didn't know about the others - especially the synchronized swimmers kyros and ram over there - but he wasn't exactly keen on lingering around here and waiting for monsters to find them. one might say he was running on pure survival mode right now but he was. and after witnessing so many of their companions back at their camp fall to the claws and teeth of mythological beasts, you can't exactly blame him. they need to be one step ahead of their enemies. while klaus loved a good fight, he was not eager to meet a monster in battle that he has never fought before, especially if said monster had hundreds of companions backing it up.

indentThe small demi-god tilted his head to the side, closing his eyes and focusing on the whispering that was coming from behind him. He let out a soft giggle and opened his eyes, "I don't wanna spook you especially since we just talked about ignoring them, but the dead guy whispering me thought the whirlpool you did earlier was coo-" Ram narrowed his eyes and scoffed, "My bad, he said freaking cool. Apparently just saying cool was not enough." He waved his hand over his shoulder like he was brushing the spirit off. A small pout forming on his face, he moved closer to Ky, "Now, he's just being mean. He said that he never expected a child of Hades to be so small and unintimidating... Ky I'm intimidating, right?" Shiram knew very well that at first glance, or well at any point until they heard of abilities, that no one expected his godly parent to be Hades. Most expected someone gloomy and always brooding not the smiling puppy-like individual that he was.
indentHe watched as Ky leaned back against the water, happy to see that the other demi-god had relaxed slightly. Though he was unfazed by the sudden change in attitude, it bothered him a slight bit but he knew that if Ky no longer wanted to discuss something it was best to leave it. A slight laugh escaped his lips as Ky made the water smack him in the face. He splashed the older man back but then quickly held up his hands in surrender, he'd be a fool to challenge the son of Poseidon to a splashing match. He ran a hand down his face, wiping the water out of his eyes and then glaring over his shoulder, "Leave me be or you will no longer be able to enjoy haunting this river."
indentRam sighed, glancing in the direction of where the group was camping. He knew that it wasn't a good idea to be. in one place for too long, but he didn't want to tear Ky away from the water, something that made him so peaceful. Shiram placed a hand on his shoulder, "As much as I'd hate to make you leave here, but I think it's time to head back to the group for safety reasons. Plus I am extremely hungry and I'd also prefer to not be scolded by Olympia or Klaus. Now, turn around, I'm going to hold onto your back and you can give me a ride to the shore." A grin spreading across his face as the other male turned, grabbing onto his shoulders before they headed back to the shore. When they reached land, Ram shivered at the air hitting his wet skin, he quickly got dressed and waited for Ky to do the same.
indentThe walk back to the group wasn't as urgent as the walk to the water since Ky was no longer on the brink of passing out. He glanced over at Ky, observing the other man's handsome features, a small blush blooming on his cheeks. Though Ky wasn't looking at him at the moment, he turned his head away quickly to avoid being caught staring with a blush on his cheeks. It wasn't like he didn't know that Ky knew he had a crush on him but he'd still rather not be caught looking at the taller demi-god, he hated the fact that he'd been so obvious in the first place.

olympia gave a small nod to klaus' comment, knowing that despite the beauty in such a place there is always a danger lurking close at hand. she breathed in deeply and felt a chill go down her spine, feeling naked without her spear in her hands at the mention of monsters. they were vulnerable there and that only increased with them becoming more comfortable. images flashed behind her closed eyelids, the memories rushing back from the last time she thought she was safe. she felt as though she was going to be sick despite having an empty stomach, and turned her face away from klaus as she opened her eyes again. the air no longer smelled of honeysuckle but now left a bad taste in her mouth. "you're quite right. in spite of us traveling out of america, we're still exposed even here." whatever had been back at camp was eager to kill and if attacks with the same numbers as there, the demi-gods would not stand a chance.

o followed klaus away from the edge after giving the horizon one last look. she listened to the man tell the others to awaken, his voice loud enough to reach all ears. his methods of waking the others was not the way she would have approached it but it was effective, she had to give him that. after he finished and began to pack his own stuff, olympia began to speak. her voice was softer than his though their was force behind her words. "klaus is right." even though i hate to admit that. "i know we're all tired and unsure of what our future holds, but we're not safe here. even if there wasn't the possibility of monsters, we don't have enough food or supplies to support us. every second we stay here we get more tired and weaker. it's best we leave now." her voice grew as she spoke with reassurance. "like klaus said, we can head to a nearby town. we pack light, okay? our weapons are already heavy enough and we can't spare the space for anything that weighs us down." their group was a like a machine that had to be well oiled, and if one screw was out of place or it began to rust, they would fall apart. in times like this they could not risk messing up. to put it lightly, their lives depended on it.

"if you would like to, grab some breakfast myles and harmony made. then, we've got to get moving." she turned to look at the two and smiled at them. "thank you for that." while harmony might have not had much to do with the cooking, she kept myles company and that was as good as making pancakes.

feeling satisfied with what she said, olympia walked over to her sleeping bag. swiftly, she slipped her shield onto her back, the feeling of the solid metal comforting to the girl. no longer did she feel as vulnerable as she had at the edge with klaus. with her thoughts to herself, she allowed her mind to be set free. o thought of what her father would think of her right now. as olympia rolled up her sleeping bag, she pulled on the string that connected her to zeus. she was unsure of how the others felt connected to their parents, but this had been with her since she was younger. at times when she was scared, she could feel a tug on her heart that put her mind at ease. for days she had been pulling on it and waiting for a response to which she received nothing. it did little to settle her nerves to keep on trying but she had to believe that at some point she would receive a response. if she didn't, what else was there for her to be fighting for? of course, she had those in the group but it did little to fill the void. she felt utterly alone. the feeling reminded olympia of when she had left her mother for the safe haven, not knowing that the next month her death would be announced. o constantly asked herself afterwards what would have happened if she had been there to protect her mom, fight for her even. she felt this way when her thoughts had the chance to overwhelm her mind, it bringing her back to her younger self.

but she didn't have time for this, not now. it's foolish of me to dwell on these thoughts. remember what you're doing here olympia. she straightened herself up once more and brushed the strands of her blonde hair out of her face again that continued to loosen from the braid.

    >:''^((cleo was curled up uncomfortably on the ground, one of his hands tangled up in his hair while the other was limply placed over his mouth and a part of his chin. the uncomfortable fetal position he was in, his legs cooped tightly up to his chest bu the bag, didn't last long- at least, not much longer. his eyes had eventually been pulled open, and cleo laid there with his hands in that same position as he stretched out his legs- before he closed his eyes and did the same to his arms and pulled his hands down his face once he relaxed, with a heavy sigh. he didn't want to get up- but he knew he had to, and eventually, he did.
    >:''^((everyone else definitely seemed to be more awake than he did- or at least did a better job at hiding their exhaustion. with the puny nunchucks in his hands, his eyes flickered from one person to the next as he walked towards them, sniffling as he drew in a breath. his nose felt stuffy- or runny (or definitely a combination of both, mother nature was not treating him with as much respect as he was treating her with) and his throat dry. it didn't help much that he was trying to do what he could to smell what was being cooked not far from where he had halted and leaned against a tree. it was almost as though he couldn't smell anything at all- at least, nothing but a river of disgusting snot that he was far from happy about.
    >:''^((rubbing his eyes roughly with the palms of his hands, cleo only released a small huff the second that klaus and olympia began speaking about the thing no one wanted to pay a mind to. although cleo did agree, completely, with both of them- it wasn't what he expected- or wanted -to wake up to and have to hear the moment he woke up. though, to be quite fair, he was among one of the last to wake up- so it was only fair that he, in such a groggy and tired state, would have to hear that kind of stuff as soon as he woke up. but he didn't speak.
    >:''^((instead, he involuntarily leaned his head back, and then sneezed into his elbow.
    >:''^((cleo sniffed and nodded his head gently, muttering a very soft "yes sir" under his breath. though he only turned himself around and walked himself back towards the sleeping bag with another loud sneeze. shoot, if klaus's call for everyone to wake up hadn't woken them up, cleo sneezing would definitely do something of some sort to get them to wake up. hell, cleo may as well become a sneezing alarm clock in this kind of location. he did have allergy medicine, sure- and this definitely wasn't the worse he could suffer, but he knew that eventually he wasn't going to be able to stop scratching his eyes and sneezing in to his elbow or in to his shirt.
    >:''^((prove my point on a sneezing alarm clock yet?
    >:''^((sniffling once again, and releasing another loud sneeze, cleo grabbed the corner of his sleeping bag and folded it to its originally laid out state, and then zipped it up. he then began to roll it up from the bottom, eventually taking the elastic bands to wrap them around the fabric. once that was done, he stood up once more and set the nunchucks snugly in the middle of the sleeping bag's twist.
    >:''^((cleo allowed his lips to turn up in to a smile as he pat down his hair and rubbed his eyes once more, clearing his throat before plugging his nose to prevent himself from sneezing again. clearing his throat once more, cleo began to walk over to where myles, rosalie and harmony were. he only offered them all brief smiles, grabbing gently on to a plate and getting a little bit of food (please, if he needed to eat anything else he'd climb a tree- he didn't need to pig out on eggs and bacon) and turning himself to go sit down against a tree (which wasn't a good idea, which cleo would soon learn) with his legs folded.
    >:''^((though, the second he sat down, he sneezed.
    >:''^((and following that, he only smiled apologetically- mainly towards himself -before he put a bit of eggs in his mouth.

ky laughed at ram’s question. ky never saw ram as intimidating until they had fought once and he had summoned a freaking dead person. he would never admit he was still freaked out that ram could do that. his laughter, however, dissipated as ram discussed heading to where the others were. he didn’t want to deal with the stress of moving all the time. he would rather just float under the water for hours, but sadly he could not. he also grunted at klaus’s name. “klaus needs to pull some kind of sword out that’s stuck up his arse, but i guess some breakfast wouldn’t be too bad.” he said while turning around for the smaller male to grab his shoulders. “you’re enjoying this aren’t ya?” he asked already knowing the answer. ky then walked up the slope of ground till he knew ram could safely get out of the water. ky watched ram jog out of the water while he was also shivering. ky then walked out of the water.
the cold air hitting his skin didn’t make him feel cold instead it made him feel refreshed. ky’s eyes turned blue as he manipulated the droplets and water on him to return to the water so he wouldn’t be wet. he then bent down to grab his cargo shorts and his button up short-sleeve shirt. he threw the shirt over his shoulder and put on his shorts. he decided to not wear a shirt today and soak up some vitamin d. he glanced over at ram as he was getting dressed. he laughed internally at ram’s slight struggle with getting his shirt over his head. he then followed the male as he headed back to where the rest of the group was. he then fell in step with ram. as they came within earshot of the others, he heard klaus’s voice barking orders for everyone to pack up and get ready to leave. ky rolled his eyes. he knew that they needed to be mobile, but he disagreed that they had to leave immediately. he decided to keep his mouth shut as olympia of all people agreed with him. “hey, could you grab me a plate real quick?” he asked ram, assuming that he was heading that way already. ky didn’t want to be around harmony or klaus too much, because he didn’t want to set anything off with either of them. ky and harmony’s fight was honestly pointless, but the tension was still rather high between the two. ky felt kinda bad about blowing up on her, but he had taken enough of her attitude and bossiness. and he just tried to avoid interactions with klaus most of the time, because they butted heads way too much.
knowing ram would agree to his request, ky headed to where he had laid down his sleeping bag and his other possessions. he kneeled down to roll up his sleeping bag and stuff it into the cheap drawstring bag it came with. he then grabbed his weirdly shaped fork off of the ground and stood up. he moved the small lever on it down causing the fork to expand into a triton. he spun the triton around a bit just to get a feel for the weapon once more. he hadn’t put the fork in its full form since the last time they had fought a monster. he then moved the lever up making the triton return to a small fork. he put the fork in his pocket, and kneeled back down to pick up his necklace. he latched the necklace onto his neck and let the seashell dangle. he stood back up and walked over to where ram’s sleeping bag was and rolled it up as well and stuffed it into the bag. he set the bag up next to where his possessions were. ky didn’t want to be disrespectful to ram’s possessions, therefore, he didn’t touch them. he then once again got off of his knees and started walking towards reese’s direction. “got one to spare?” he asked as he approached the male. he knew reese had a love for the cigarettes, but ky only occasionally had a smoke. he then ran his hand through his hair while waiting for his answer.

    ✦. REESE PHOENIX
xthe son of hephaestus ✦ male ✦ twenty-four ✦ mentioned: klaus ✦ tagged: kyros
    ────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

spaceas he sat there, cigarette hanging from his lips, reese allowed his mind to drift. he thought of his mother. he thought of his mother and how worried she must be. "oh, gods," he spoke softly to himself, voice hoarse and rugged with sleep. he only hoped that she hadn't been informed of the attacks, but knowing how the camps were run, she was likely more than aware of what had occurred. he pictured her face in his mind, forehead creased over with worry and mouth turned down in a tight grimace. the last thing reese wanted to do was bring her anxiety, though it had always been difficult for him to stay out of trouble considering his father was a greek god.

spacedespite this, lillian phoenix loved her son dearly, no matter how many times he lit fire to the living room sofa or accidentally burned her expensive lace curtains. she treated him like she would any other, and for the most part, chose to ignore the things that made reese a demi-god. she bought him ice cream on sunny days, and slapped band-aids over his knees when he tumbled over the handlebars of his bicycle. she ate dinner with him in front of the television, and comforted him when he needed it most. though, as reese grew older, and began to visit the demi-god camp more frequently, the budding relationship between mother and son had been put on hold. things became more uncomfortable between the two whenever he returned for the holidays, and the intolerable atmosphere only grew worse when reese's step-father, nathaniel, came into the picture.

spacethe two men were instantly truculent when interacting, fingers regularly at each other's throats. nathaniel was intrusive and pesky, making him difficult to get along with. because of this, they couldn't stand being in the same room together, consequently resulting in reese visiting home less and less, which evidently put more strain on the relationship with his mother. the two wrote to each other every now and then, but reese couldn't see himself going back any time soon. at least not until nathaniel was gone for good.

spacehis eyes flared a deep crimson, and the end of his cigarette began to spit furious orange sparks. he grew enraged whenever thoughts of his step-father entered his mind, though he was glad that he had a cigarette at his disposal. they always helped him ease his temper. he rolled his shoulders, releasing a bit of the tension from his muscles. through the trees, he heard klaus barking at the rest of the group, and stifled a small snort. he knew that it was wise to move camp, but he wished klaus would loosen up a bit. no one liked being yelled at this early in the morning. well, at least reese didn't

spaceturning his head to the side, reese's anger diminished slightly as kyros moved up to where he was sitting. "sure," he answered, pulling another stick out from the box and tossing it to him. he then leaned forward slightly, thumb flicking the lighter on so kyros could ignite the end of the cigarette. settling back down against the tree, reese removed his own stick from his lips, thin trails of smoke pouring from between his teeth.

space"so, anything on your mind?" he cocked his head slightly, catching the small furrows between kyros' brows. as he spoke, he pushed himself to his feet, brushing dried soil and mud from his sweatpants. the temperature had dropped a few degrees since reese had entered the surrounding woods, and he bit his lip in response to this, flicking up the collar of his shirt and tugging the sleeves of his jacket further down his arms so he could curl his fingers into the fabric. sighing, his eyes followed the smoke of ky's cigarette for a brief moment before he dragged his gaze back down to the other man's face. everything felt so far away in that moment, but focusing on ky and what was going on inside his friend's head rather than his own helped tether reese to the present.

Rosalie Akar ~ Daughter of Demeter ~ Nature Manip ~ Tagged: Harmony ~ Mentioned: Olympia, Cleo, all

Rosalie had simply turned her head to the interactions happening all around them. She didn't offer any further insight or opinions; she was following the others regardless. Not that any of them actually scared her as much as she was taken aback by the strong impressions the demi-gods made, some more than others. Also, it helped that in the trials and tribulations, struggle tended to in some ways force Rose to mend some relations and grow closer to those she normally would have avoided. Even if she occasionally butt heads with some of them, at the end of the day, they were all out here putting their lives into each other's hands. That being said, Rose probably should have had more opinions or thoughts than she did, but they had far more natural born leaders than herself, and every group needed a few followers, anyhow. The daughter of Demeter was a lot more timid in that regard, much more than her mother was, nearly killing off an entire flood of humanity after Persephone joined Ram's father in the underworld. Demeter demanded-she didn't ask. Rosalie, on the other hand, well, one could simply say she didn't pick at the food provided until long after those were around would first.

This wasn't a problem because first and foremost she could sprout something later. But secondly because Harmony was approaching her, acknowledging the fact she heard Rosalie first, smile one of good-nature. She giggled lightly as the girl nudged her, gently hitting her shoulder into the other girl's in reciprocation. The two had become an unlikely pair throughout their endeavors: they aren't exactly best friends, but the spark Harmony has had begun to grow on her throughout their adventure in a way that felt slightly less terrifying than when they started out. It was nowhere near best friends, or friends really. Harmony's commentary and advice was received with a sheepish smile; she bowed her head, cheeks coloring slightly. It took her a moment to settle on a small "Oh," that was then followed by "What do you think about moving to the town?" as she finally decided to look Harmony in the eyes. Rosalie knew Olympia and Klaus were right. She knew they had to move, but she was sure everyone had their doubts in some ways. But when they needed supplies, there wasn't another choice. Rosalie could get them plants, herbs, berries, and all things nature grown, but any person may need more than that. The monsters could sniff out demi-gods, yes, but they could do that anywhere. City included. And all things considering, Rosalie knew going into the town meant there was a chance for confrontation, and what then would she do? She'd be working purely out of her own body for her abilities: cities meant sidewalks, which meant cement, which meant not soil. Things were a whole lot easier for someone who had nature manipulation abilities when there was actually nature to work with.

Nonetheless, Rosalie watched the others kick into gear and slowly did the same. Her eyes wandered over each person, including Olympia as she began to pace away and back towards their sleeping bags. Her attention had turned to Cleo, more specifically his sneezing, and gave a small wave in greeting. He was evidently still a bit groggy from his slumber. She took another moment to survey Ram and Ky as they left the water, washing Rosalie in relief, knowing if Ky hadn't gone in before their travels, things definitely could have gone awry. Her hand gingerly tapped Harmony on the wrist to gain her attention, "I'm going to grab some eggs then I'm going to start packing. Feel free to join me-or you don't have to," She proposed gently before hesitantly passing by her once she was sure most of the group had grabbed something before herself. She briefly walked by Cleo, giving him a short greeting as she passed by him. The entire process was quick, moving between grabbing some eggs and scampering off to their campsite; she wanted to bask in the space a little longer. And seeing that Olympia seemed to be having a thoughtful experience of her own, Rosalie chose to leave the girl undisturbed.
