- indentof course, the young woman responded back genially to everyone's greetings. she hasn't seen most of them in a hot minute, as she was sure they have all been busy with their lives after high school like she was. but being around them reminded her of when she was back in school, not at college and living the ordinary life of a teenager. well, as ordinary as wealth can make one's existence. she knew she was incredibly blessed to be born in a well-off family, even if she was not particularly close with her parents. she noticed out of the corner of her eye that daisy and faline headed up the stairs with their luggage, most likely to set it down somewhere in one of the rooms. she had an urge to follow them up the stairs and playfully bother them. she'd probably have to go up there soon to put away her stuff but she didn't want to leave when everyone has yet to arrive. she wanted to greet everyone or at-least see everyone's faces before she went zooming up the stairs. her attention turned to ivory again, another smile now growing onto her lips at her greeting. she could tell ivory has undergone some changes, such as dying and growing out her hair. it looked good on her. she was a very pretty girl, in general so no matter what look she went for, she would look lovely. amira noticed the cigarette she pulled out of her pocket but she did not comment on it. amira did not smoke herself and it wasn't her place to scold ivory or anyone else for doing so. she was a grown adult, she could do what she pleases. she glanced around the foyer at her question. "it surely hasn't. and of course we haven't." she didn't think she's lost anyone. sure, they might not have kept up as recently but they were all still friends, even if they were older now... right? she hoped everyone at-least thought the same. "i'm glad to hear about your business! i always remembered you being artistic. i go to university myself and play tennis for the team there, i haven't been up to much," she laughed. she was glad ivory had started a business, it seemed like a good step for her to take. amira still lived with her family - unfortunately. the university she attended was not far from her family's home and her mother didn't want her to live on her own, despite the fact amira was more than capable of doing so.
indentshe looked up when leo came down the stairs, announcing the arrival of yet another one of their friends. at that moment, the door swung open behind her and ivory, causing amira to jump slightly when she heard a loud squeal. it was lena, another one of their friends. she laughed softly when the other woman had to lower her things onto the ground as not to drop all of them in the heat of her enthusiasm. "oh, look who it is!" she said with a grin, helping move some of lena's luggage away from the door a little bit so nobody would accidentally wander into the foyer and trip over everything. "how are you doing, darling?" she asked lena. for years amira has been calling others nicknames such as darling, dear, sweetheart, etc. without even really realizing it. anytime one tries to correct her she'd usually forget and end up saying it again sometime down the road. it was just something that has become ingrained in her, and something others come to accept. it came her with her unofficial title as a 'mom friend'. she was often rather impulsive and daring herself but when it came to the safety of her friends, she tended to be concerned if it involved danger or bodily injury. going down to the beach to throw hands with a great white shark or going ninety miles down a neighborhood road wasn't exactly something she would approve of. she just tended to worry about situations out of her control.
