Julian's roommate was chatting with another person he vaguely knew. His roommate, Louis Fernandes, was probably the most intelligent person he knew. He got good grades with ease, and always seemed to be one step ahead of everyone. While he was intelligent, that didnโt mean he wasnโt careless. Louis, unlike Julian, had a habit of blurting out whatever first came into his mind, without really thinking over it. On multiple occasions that had gotten him in trouble, and as much as Julian liked his roommate it was hard not to slap him sometimes. Louis was a tall guy as well, standing at around 6โ4โ, practically a head above Julian's 5โ10โ. He wore glasses that perched on a straight nose, with eyebrows that seemed to be constantly screwed up together. His hair was a dirty blonde that was straight and cut short. He also sported a tan to him, probably from constantly being outside for sports. He was the type of guy that was definitely intimidating, which was only one of many reasons Julian refused to be himself around the guy.
โHey Louis, whatโs up?โ he said sliding into the conversation. Louis turned his head to look at Julian and then grinned, slapping him friendly on the shoulder. His friend, the guy standing next to Louis, who Julian believed was named Mars nodded at him as a greeting. Mars was definitely shorter than Louis, but still taller than Julian by an inch or two. He had dark brown skin that paired well with his black hair that curled around his ears.
โJulian! Hey man, I was just telling Mars about that party we went too last week. Remember how you hooked up with that girl, I think her name was Willow? Or was it Wendy?โ Louis said while nudging him in the shoulder, a grin plastered on his face. Julian didnโt hook up with anyone actually, if he remembers correctly he just made it up as an excuse to leave. Parties weren't really his scene.
โUh yeah, I donโt really remember. Did you guys do your French homework?โ Julian said while giving a forced laugh and trying to change the subject.
โOh damn! I completely forgot! Oh god, Madam Bennet is going to kill me! I gotta go. I think someone's having a party tonight, I want to see you there man!โ Louis yelled while quickly leaving the group to run off somewhere to do his french homework that he probably wouldnโt get done in time.
Julian turned back to Mars to say something, but the silent boy simply walked away without a word or glance in his direction. Julian sighed and rubbed his eyes. Great, now he had to go to a party. He really needed to paint. He was already tired and the day barely started. He should have just stayed with Cecile and Delilah. Even if the situation was awkward it was better than getting exhausted from exchanging three sentences with a guy that was supposed to be his friend. He sat down at the nearest empty table, waiting for the bell to ring soon so he could just go to class, daydream of nothing important, and escape his mind that wouldnโt stop over thinking every little thing.
