Alec felt as two firm hands landed softly on his shoulder. He immediately knew it was Ronan. Alec rolled his eyes, he knew very well Ronan disapproved of his smoking habits. Knowing that he knew Ronan would take his cigarette and scold him about it. Even though the male knew this he couldn't help but smirk and chuckle at Ronan's greeting. Both males had similar humor which was a reason they bonded so much and so quickly. As if Alec could read minds he had been exactly right about Ronan's thoughts about him smoking so early in the morning.

"Hey!" Alec was quick to react when the older male took the cigarette from his hand. But there was no point he knew he wouldn't be getting it back. But that wouldn't stop Alec from trying. He was a very determined individual. "Come on Ronan why do you care, it going in my lungs, not yours," Alec said as he reached over to try and grab the cigarette it was almost out but smoke continued to litter the air. Alec was well aware of the dangers of smoking. It was always referenced in his head during his health classes while in highschool. But that didn't stop him. He had been smoking from a young age and had no intention of stopping.

As Ronan told him to help get the extra dishes he nodded in return. He wanted to talk about his dream to Ronan. No one knew about Sage's death besides Ronan. Alec has always been scared of telling people about her death, he blamed himself for her death and worried that others would too. The slim male enjoyed the company of the rebels and had no wishes of them seeing him in a negative light. " Sadie make sure Emil doesn't burn down the kitchen please." Alec mockingly said as he walked behind Emil and gently nudged him with his shoulder. Alec made his way to the shed looking over his shoulder to make sure Ronan was behind him.

Stevie glanced down at her watch, seeing that it was now 6:50AM. At any rate, Emil would probably be cooking breakfast for them all, as he was a stickler for time. She was out and about in the woods, having been up since 5am. She found it hard to sleep, and hard to stay put sometimes. She needed something to do. Being stuck in a cramped room with people, with a few who snored or thrashed out in their sleep due to nightmares, wasn't her idea of a thriving slumber party. But they were who she had to stick with during these times, seeing as they all had one common goal: to take down the government, and retrieve the flowers so the government couldn't get their grubby fingers on them for their own deluded plans. However, she could probably do without a few of them, as she found herself becoming increasingly irritated every time someone said something she perceived as stupid, such as Sadie's inability to say what she often meant to say. The girl just needed to get on with it, and it made her want to roll her eyes everytime her soft little voice tried to pipe up about something.

She'd left the rundown cabin after having brushed her teeth and had a quick cold shower. It took her about ten minutes max, before she came out, dressing in black leggings, a black tank top, a dark blue denim jacket, and grey socks inside of a pair of dark blue runners. She didn't have that many changes of clothes with her, so this outfit was one that she usually wore when she was out and about during the day. As well as this, whenever she did leave the cabin, she'd bring along her dark brown satchel. It was a small one where she'd store any flowers she found, as well as a mini pocket-knife. If she ever encountered anyone unfamiliar during her walks, she wanted to be prepared. She could probably outrun someone, if they were to chase her, but she always felt better if she had weapons to help protect her from potential enemies. Everyone was still asleep as she made her way out of the bedroom after having brushed and dressed, holding back a laugh at someone's ridiculous snore-- the kind of snore where it's abruptly loud and said person is temporarily woken up by it before returning back to sleep. Closing the door behind her, she ran her fingers through her damp dark red wavy hair, pulling it back into a mid-height ponytail as she jogged down the stairs, exiting out the front door.

The woods provided some sort of solace for her. Since she'd joined the Rebellion, she had woken up early almost every morning to take a brisk walk or run around, making sure to not leave the perimeters where the government would be sure to spot her. She had, however, been tempted more than once or twice to see if she could venture out farther than where she was supposed to go, but decided not to, realizing that it was probably a bad idea. Besides, it was probably better for her to venture out beyond the secluded area if someone were to have her back. That way, she could at-least try to guarantee her safety. The area that she was allowed to stick around in, though, was enough space for the time being for her to be alone with her thoughts, and to be out in the fresh air instead of staying cooped up in the cabin. There were plenty of trees that provided shade if it was hot, there was a rushing stream of water where she could splash water onto her face if need be, and there were a few rundown trails for her to walk on. All-in-all, it reminded her of going on walks with her Dad back in the woods of Scotland, and how free it made her feel. Sure, she was free now, being an independent adult, but this wasn't the kind of freedom that she would wish on anyone. It was a lonely world, but she'd never admit it. She had the Rebellion, she supposed, but it really wasn't anything akin to family, to her. She had a few friendships, which brought some comfort, but she wished that the comfort that she had had before would somehow return. It never would, though, as her father was now dead, and her mother was who the hell knows where.

She'd done her usual walk, with a few moments to just pause and enjoy the slight breeze in the air that welcomed her. It wasn't easy to come across peace and quiet with a big group, so this moment that she had to herself in the mornings was one that she was thankful for. If she didn't have these mornings, she'd be ten times crankier, and, well, likely more irritated and fiery than she usually was. As soon as she headed back towards the path that led up to the cabin, she checked her watch again: 7:07am. Not bad. She was a few minutes slower than she usually was, mainly because she'd stumbled across a grey squirrel, who nearly approached her had she not sneezed accidentally. She looked ahead of her, the cabin in sight.

In her experience of cabins, this one was actually quite large to her. Usually, the ones she'd been in were one-level, with two bedrooms, one kitchen, a bathroom, and a very small living room area. The logs of this cabin were, as noted before, quite run-down, as age had withered down some of the wood. It was still sturdy, as the roof hadn't collapsed on them (yet). Inside was a kitchen, a living room area, an upstairs where they shared their bedrooms, and a bathroom. While there were the same amount of rooms as she was used to, the kitchen was much bigger, and same with the living room. The bedrooms were relatively bigger as well, due to there being multiple beds inside. The bathroom was big enough, but with so many people in the cabin so far, sometimes it could prove to be a hassle. At times of trouble, such as when Stevie really had to use the bathroom, she just went out in the woods, because why not? She did it all the time when she went camping, and it wasn't as if she wanted to go pee on the floor of the cabin. Not only would it stink up the place, but it was very unhygienic.

As she rounded from the back of the cabin to the front of it, she saw Ronan and Alec by the shed, doing what, she wasn't sure. It was nice to know that some people had gotten up, however, seeing as the day was bright and ready for whatever they were going to get up to today. She was friends with both guys, surprisingly. She wasn't expecting to make friends in this group, but, here she was, and they for some reason could keep up with her snarky and honest personality. Ronan had his hair tied back in a bun, and she had to admit that the guy was relatively handsome. If she were a love-struck teenager, or a girl like Sadie, perhaps she'd be all aflutter with his looks and wooing personality. However, she wasn't that girl, so yes, she thought of someone as handsome but didn't think much of it. Was this really the time or place to feel like she could fall for someone and potentially date them? Times were drastic, people were dead, and the government was a gong show. No, it was better for her to keep her head screwed on straight. Alec, who was the same age as her, had his dark brown hair all tousled in the wind. While he was handsome, like Ronan, she didn't feel anything akin to more than a friendship with him, just more of a friend, really. But who the hell knew, with her changing emotions. She didn't understand much about herself, other than she knew what she wanted, and what she wanted was to stop being so prone to the attractiveness of a boy. She was hard to date, anyways. Too much of a handful, or a firecracker, as she so often thought of herself. She would've stopped to chat, but they could always do that over breakfast. Food was winning over conversation. She waved to them both before turning the corner to the front of the cabin, her startlingly blue eyes meeting their own.

She walked up the creaky steps to the front door, opening it with a light swing, making sure it closed behind her before walking in, wiping her shoes on the faded rug. She could already hear the sounds of dishes, signifying that breakfast was on its way, but as for the smells of food, well, she couldn't smell anything. Maybe Emil just hadn't started on it, which was odd, seeing as he was always set on preparing breakfast at a certain time. She draped her satchel on the end of the railing by the stairs before walking to the kitchen, admittedly feeling a little hungry.

When she walked in, she immediately spotted the dark brown hair of Emil, a tall guy a year older than her and pretty much the "leader" of the group. Leader when he was makes the right decisions, she thought, her snide comments infiltrating her head. Next to him was Sadie, a girl she just did not like. She simply thought that she was much too meek, and too unsure of her own capabilities that made her a very weak person, in her eyes. The only time where she wasn't one of those things was when she had to fight; she could be somewhat useful then but it didn't prove all that much to Stevie. They just didn't get along, or it was more of Stevie's intense personality that caused Sadie to melt away in the shadows.

In-front of them on the kitchen counter sat an array of breakfast foods, wondering why they were just staring at it. It's probably because Emil can't cook without twenty other hands in the kitchen, she thought, a hint of a smile working its way onto her lips. She didn't hate the guy, they got along alright, she supposed, but they weren't friends or anything. "Staring at the food isn't going to make it magically cook itself," she said, her Scottish accent shining through, grabbing the egg carton and bacon before turning to the stove. She turned it on before bringing out two pans, one for the eggs and one for the bacon, allowing it to heat up first. She used one side of the stove, so someone else could use the other half, if they were going to cook pancakes. "I can get started on these," she said, her back facing them. If Emil was smart, he would probably take care of the toast and jam, that was a simple enough of a job.

Sadie nudged Alec as he made his comment on Emil's cooking. Sadie could say that Alec was a good friend of hers. The brown haired boy was definitely much more confident in day to day activities then her. Like holding a decent conversation. She was about to comment on the cigarette placed on his lips when she felt someone touch her back. She jumped a little in surprise and turned around to face another familiar face. Ronan Scott was the second in command in the rebellion, and she had a pretty similar relationship with him as she did with Emil. She said a good morning back to him and had to keep from laughing as Ronan swiped the cigarette from Alecs mouth. They started bickering about the cigarette and Sadie couldn’t help but let out a shy laugh at the two. They seemed pretty close, even if they were squabbling.

Will do,” she said timidly as Alec made a comment about making sure the kitchen didn’t burn down while he left to get more dishes for everyone. She shook her head a little bit, only a tiny bit lost in thought. She turned to ask Emil about what they had in store for today when Stevie, an intense and stubborn girl walked into the kitchen. Sadie closed her mouth slowly, her expression slowly turning sour. Stevie was probably the only person in the whole rebellion Sadie shied away from. She was just so intense, and Stevie made it pretty clear by the looks she gave Sadie that she didn’t like her either. She didn’t even know why, but she could only guess it was because they were so different.

Turning away from the girl and ignoring her comment, she looked towards Emil, her smile wavering a bit. “Maybe you could make toast, and I can make pancakes?” she grabbed the pancake mix and a pan from a cupboard. Mixing all the ingredients together in a bowl, she gave a shy smile to Emil to encourage him to cook, before turning away and slowly sliding next to Stevie to make the pancakes. Sadie could feel herself retreating inside. She didn’t like people who were so intimidating. It just brought up bad memories from back in her hometown. Her hair, once behind her ears, fell into her face like a little curtain, and she didn’t bother to push it back as she put the pan on the stove and turned the heat on. Clearing her throat she asked a question to Emil, her voice only shaking a tad at the end.

What do you have planned to do today?” she said softly, her head peeking around her shoulder to look at Emils figure as she waited for the pan to heat up a bit before she poured the mixture on.

"Sounds good." He said nodding in agreement with Emil's idea. ''Coming right up boss." He said with a small amused smile before he followed Alec towards the shed. The younger rebel had already started off a good way ahead of him, but Ronan caught up rather quickly with a few confident strides. He looked down at Alec for a moment and then down at the cigarette still being helped in between two of the fingers in his right hand. "Hey take this," He said holding out the cigarette as an offer Alec to grab. "You don't have to waste it, just don't buy anymore, you don't have money to waste on crap like that." Keeping his gaze forwards on the shed they were fast approaching.

Ronan stopped by the doors of the shed, lifting up a large wood plank shoved between the doors. Ronan had found the wood in the shed after one-morning dust wooden doors had been burst open by a bear, or some large animal that had come by. It had worked very well as a protective lock so far, for at least animals, but it hadn't stopped Ronan and Emil from worrying about the possibility that someone had gotten in rather than something.

He set the plank down to the right of the doors leaning up against the wall and turned back to Alec. "You think you'll be better at carrying the delicate flowers, or the breakable dishes?" He asked resting both of his hands at his sides before he turned at the glimpse of movement to see Stevie returning from her morning walk. He smiled instinctively as she waved at him, wearing all black, 'kind of a brand for her.' he thought to himself, he liked her spunky personality a lot, she had a sort of fire in her, both metaphorically and literally, and he liked her brutal honesty, it made him feel more secure knowing that what she said was what she thought, rather than some lie white or otherwise. Hey nodded waving back to her, and then turned back to Alec, resting his gaze on him..

Andra smiled, and watched him closely pick up the two crisp two dollar bills, she had been keeping her wallet, she parted her lips slightly as if to say something, but once he had crumpled the dollars, and shoved them in his pocket she decided against it returning to a closed smiled, with a bit of an amused glint in her eyes.
She also considered crossing around the stone countertop to follow him, as he turned back to the strange plant, but thought against that as well, continuing to watch his back from where he was. He jumped into his work again pausing for a second before continuing, which her brain seemed to catch, and then he spoked up asking her about her work."
Was he interested in doing something after work, she wondered at first furrowing her eyebrows slightly before he corrected himself.
She wondered if he was anxious about something particular today, or if it was just his normal resting anxiety that she seemed to be overthinking, but she responded rather calmly rather than calling his behavior out to see if he would bring it up himself or not.
"I've actually just finished a stack of paperwork that I brought in today, I'm supposed to stop by Adrian's office, I guess he or the director or whoever must have something different they want me to work on." She said. watching him pause to write something down in his notebook.

Alec felt the cold morning breeze hitting his slim body as he walked to the shed. He heard Ronan's footsteps behind him. A surprised expression covered the young boy's face as Ronan handed him the cigarette back. Alec took it and lit it putting it in his mouth it burned slowly the smoke not only coming from it but also Alec's mouth. "I've been trying to cut down a bit, it's just hard. You know?" Alec ran his hands through his hair as he exhaled a small cloud of smoke. The brown-haired male watched as Ronan lifted the plank of wood that held the shed shut.
Alec stepped in the shed spotting the dishes, and then looked around there were no flowers so that meant that a small run would need to be made. Just as Alec glanced around the shed one more time he heard Ronan speak once again. As Alec processed the question, he replied. " We need to go get some flowers by the look of it. I can handle the flowers but we should get the plates back to the others." Alec's voice was cold as his eyes shifted up Ronan's. " No offense Ronan but your not the most cautious person I know" Alec chuckled and then added. "I don't want you growing gills on me either," Alec said as he elbowed Ronan's arm. The boy had some doubts about handling the flowers. Even though he didn't like to admit it at times he was scared of his powers. Witnessing people have to suffer so much at times freaked him out. It made him feel guilty at times.
The burnet looked down. "I had a nightmare about the crash with Sage again," Alec mumbled. He rarely talked about her and Ronan had been the only person in the group he was ever comfortable telling.

Ronan nodded, "We'll ask Emil how many flowers he wants. If he needs a lot then we might need to go up closer to the city, and he might want us to send a full patrol." He responded turning away from the shed again just in time for Alec to bump his arm. "Hey, since when were you the king of hand-eye coordination, or balancing for that matter." He said before entering the shed to grab a large stack of plates and scour the shelves just to make sure they hadn't missed anything.

If anyone else had nudged him like that they might have found a fist in their mouth or a few fiery words from Ronan, but he had a big soft spot for the kid. He wondered even if he might be losing his tough exterior altogether because he seemed to have a soft spot for most of the Rebels he worked with come to think of it. Ronan walked outside closing the shed door and setting down the dishes once more before he replaced the wood beam.

He settled next to Alec with the stack of being balanced in his left hand. He looked down at Alec's serious expression listening to him. "Hey, I'm sorry about that." He said, his deep voice softening a bit. "I understand." He added after pausing for second eyes glued forward towards the cabin and horizon. "I miss my mom a lot sometimes too. . . It can be hard to think about them." He said a little more gently, grabbing the cigarette out of Alec's hand and putting it up to his lips. He finished the cigarette with a good inhale and dropped in into the dirt ground giving it a small grind with his shoe, to make sure it was completely put out. "I know I'm not your family or anything, but you have me you know." He said turning his head towards Alec.

Alec watched as Ronan finished the cigarette. He let the male finish speaking before saying anything. Alec stayed quiet after listening to the wind rattle the trees and leaves. Watching a few of them slowly fall when a strong gust would hit them. A smile crept on his face, he was happy he knew Ronan. He had become more than a team member to him. He'd become family to him. " Thank you, Ronan," Alec said as his gaze was still fixed to the ground. The male thought for a bit not knowing what to say, he'd never been good with his emotions much less expressing them. "Your mom would be proud of you" Alec's voice softened and his gaze was now directed into Ronan's eyes. "Let's go leave the plates and then well see what Emil wants us to do about the flowers."
As Alec walked out of the shed he looked at the surroundings and where the rebels were living. He thought about what the world had been and what it had become. They were the lucky ones. The ones to survive the outbreak. Not everyone would agree with that statement. Almost everyone here lost people close to them. Some were loners from the start. They were all different people but they had something that connected them and that was they all wanted the government to collapse.
Alec held the door open for Ronan. Inside the kitchen he saw, Stevie, Sadie, and Emil. The house smelled like food, It was a comforting smell. It reminded him of waking up to his mothers cooking. "Hey Emil we're out of flowers" Alec's voice went back to its firm cold state. "Ronan and I were wondering if we could go look for some. Do you want us to send out a bigger patrol?" deep down Alec hoped Emil would be ok with just the two going on there own. Alec didn't mind working as a team but he preferred working alone or with a small group. The male knew that Ronan and himself could handle any trouble that came there way.

Tyler woke up with a start. He had dreamt that he was falling, and, as one would guess, there was a 50/50 chance that he actually had fallen-- and he did. He blinked the sleep out of his hazel eyes, his mind hazy as he rubbed his face, yawning a little. He was lying down in a curled position on the hardwood floor, his toes peeking out from his striped pyjama bottoms. Sitting up on his knees, he reached for the blanket, wanting to go back to sleep (yes, on the floor, he really didn't care), when he noticed that a.) the sunlight was streaming through the other side of the bedroom brightly, to signify morning and b.) he was in a room filled with girls, minus Thomas. "What the...?" he mumbled sleepily, rubbing his eyes. Am I still dreaming? he thought, still yawning as he got up slowly, wrapping the blanket around him like a tortilla. It really only covered half of his body, due to him being so tall. He lazily walked over to the empty beds, his eyes adjusting to the scene in-front of him.

"Oh," he chuckled to himself, realizing where he was. He thought he really had been dreaming, due to him having had a dream about a cabin falling out of the sky (his dreams were wacko sometimes). He glanced around, his eyes now wide open as he scoured the bedroom. Seeing that most everyone had woken up, he figured that he should as well. If he went back to bed now, he likely wouldn't wake up until one pm, with someone like Stevie glaring daggers at him or Ronan yelling at him to wake the hell up. Not Emil, he'd probably just give him some sort of disappointing look for not waking up early. Running his fingers through his tousled hair, he walked back to his bed, abandoning his warm blanket for the time being. Even though it was a somewhat thin blanket, it did keep him warm (not really during cold nights, where he'd wear an old hoodie to maintain some body heat). He then walked over to the bathroom, and was pleased that it was empty. He quickly used it and flushed; washing his hands before brushing his teeth. He was running low on toothpaste, and figured that he'd get a new one today-- that, or bug one of the Rebellion members for one, or to share. After brushing, he took a fast shower, easily only taking five minutes or so. He didn't mind the cold, as it woke him up during days he felt really sleepy. Besides, water was a luxury that he had learned to appreciate-- being in the government, he had access to water, of course, but being in the Rebellion made him realize just how rough these people had it. Water was virtually unlimited in the government, while water in the cabin was fixed to a schedule. Thank goodness he had woken up in-time before the water was shut off temporarily.

After his quick shower, he hopped out, a long towel wrapped around him as he ran back to the bedroom, grabbing a change of clothes before slipping back inside the bathroom. He was fine with changing in-front of the guys, due to things such as gym class in high-school and track in University, but changing in-front of the girls was a whole other matter. If one of them woke up while he was in mid-change, he'd probably get a pillow thrown at his head or something (or several). He dropped the towel, leaving it to dry on the small rack that was stationed to the right of the toilet. Since it looked sunny outside, he'd grabbed a pair of black shorts, a red tank top, and white socks. He walked back out of the bathroom again, dipping back inside the bedroom to grab his black cap, putting it on backwards. He almost contemplated bringing his blanket down back down again, so he could be wrapped up in it, but he decided against it. He'd probably be walking outside soon anyways, if they had things to do. Maybe he'd go for a run if there was time. Instead, he brought down his backpack and his phone, which had been charging all night.

It was important for him to have his phone on him at all times. It wasn't that the government contacted him (they rarely did, as they didn't want someone from the group to grab his phone from him, only to see a government name on it), but it was if he needed to contact the government at-all. He usually made his reports a few times a week, corresponding with the same person or with a variety of people. It usually depended on who replied when he made a call or a text. The people at the government used a shared number, to make it look less suspicious. Sure, Tyler was relatively popular back in Canada and in L.A., but it was to make it seem like he was contacting his Mom or his "brother" often; it made it less suspicious to the outside eye. It made sense, seeing as he was really close with his family, and the Rebellion understood that. When he made his reports, it was usually to give them a heads up on what Emil was planning to do if they chose to attack, or if they were to stay at another location other than the cabin for the night. In the beginning, when he first joined, he'd let the government know things about each person in the group, such as habits and personalities. For example, Stevie went on walks most every day at the crack of dawn. He'd once followed her a few times (at a safe distance), but he didn't see her do anything suspicious. Thank goodness he didn't have to follow her that early anymore, as he liked his sleep. Emil was really up-to-date on the government's plans, always listening to the radio and tuning in to any projects that they were working on. It was interesting, because sometimes he'd know things that Tyler himself wouldn't know about until he made his next report. He knew of everyone's powers when they crushed a flower, knowing that Alec's was pretty intimidating, while Sadie's wasn't terribly intimidating in the slightest. All of these things, and more, he'd reported back, and every day he learned new things. He just didn't report back every day due to it looking fishy.

He ran down the stairs, two at a time. He could already smell bacon. It was overpowering anything else that was being made, and his stomach growled hungrily. Placing his backpack at the foot of the stairs while placing his phone gingerly in one of its hidden pockets, he walked towards the kitchen. He was instantly greeted by the sight of Sadie, Ronan, Emil, Alec, and Stevie. Eggs and bacon were being cooked by Stevie, pancakes by Sadie, and poor Emil was trying his hands at toast. Let's hope he doesn't screw that up, he thought good-naturedly to himself. Ronan and Alec were hanging out by the table where they ate, asking Emil the tail-end of a question he hadn't heard. "Morning, guys," he grinned, giving everyone one of his signature crooked smiles. He clapped both boys at the table on their backs before grabbing a banana from the fruit bowl, peeling it before taking a big bite. Hey, just because breakfast was being cooked, didn't mean that he couldn't go and enjoy some of nature's fresh goods. Besides, if he didn't eat the banana now, it'd probably go bad. He gave Emil a nod, trying to hide the smile on his face to Emil's toast-making escapade. Looking past him to Sadie, who was ardently making pancakes, he could see that she was visibly uncomfortable being next to Sadie. Said girl could get pretty riled up sometimes, which he found funny at-times, but she always had such an intense energy about her. Even with him being a grown guy, he had to admit that sometimes he shivered with the glares that she could give. It was a good thing that they were on somewhat neutral terms with other; otherwise, he'd probably steer clear of her. No need for his hair to catch on fire, or something.

Wanting to make Sadie feel a little less uncomfortable, he walked up to the right of her, bumping her a little with his hip. He had a soft spot for her. She had a very visible crush on him, he could tell, and he loved to make her all the more flustered around him. Besides, making her flustered would probably ease the tension that hung in the air between the two girls. "Hey, Wilkes," he grinned, his mouth full of banana as he took another bite. "How was your sleep? Have any dreams about me?" He leaned a bit against the counter top, gazing at her with his eyes that made you feel like you could drown in them. While he waited for her answer, he also kept his ears trained on the conversation with the boys, wanting to know what they were discussing.
