When Mickie realized what Asher was saying, a somehow even bigger grin crossed her face. "That would be fantastic!" There was no understating how absolutely, bone-numbingly boring winter session could be. The idea of having her best friend along, either to suffer with her or brighten the winter, was nothing short of a brilliant prospect. "I might actually make it through the winter without hexing someone." That last bit was only a bit of an exaggeration. She did hex one of the other year-round campers - possibly one of the Aphrodite kids, she couldn't remember - but it hadn't necessarily been out of spite. More boredom, really.

"Ro!" He shouted back on instinct, excited to see his friend. Back home was nice and all but the people here were just different. Adam offered the guy- he hadn't caught his name- a reassuring smile, "All this is going to sound crazy. Someone should probably show him to the Hermes' cabin if he isn't claimed yet so he can put his stuff down. Speaking of," Adam glanced over his shoulder towards the cabins, "I should be doing the same. I've got to see Serphina then go drop by Hades's cabin." There were so many people he needed to say hi to. Texting and stuff during the school year just wasn't the same as being with friends in person.

He reassuringly clapped a hand on Eichi's shoulder, "Good luck. Come find me later and I'll give you a run down on the training grounds." Adam was pretty good at showing people the ropes when it came to fighting. He regarded his two friends next, "Don't get yourselves in to too much trouble now." Adam's southern draw tugged is words out a little smoother as he gave them one last wave and jogged further into camp. The mutt followed at his heels.]

Charlie strolled around camp grounds, watching friends reunite and saying hi to his fair share of people. He ended up at the Arts & Crafts area with no particular thought to do anything in mind. Then he caught sight of Aurora, she was a year-round camper(I think?) like he was. He grin and slid up next to were she was, "Hello Aurora, looking as beautiful as always." The easy flirtation was Charlie's natural setting and anyone who spent much time around him knew that it tended not to mean much more than friendliness. "And what are you up to on this morning?" He eyed the flower crown in her hand curiously. He was partial to them himself, considering his abilities.

As Lee gently shoved the girl towards the camp store she laughed, skipping ahead and only stopping for a moment to glance back and make sure she was right behind her. She had missed this part of camp- being around people like her, who knew the life she had to lead, and whom she could trust to be herself around. It all felt so organic, so easy going. Camp was safe for the demi gods- probably one of the only places they could let down their guards.

Stopping right outside the door, the girl twirled around and grinned to her partner in crime, clasping her hands behind her back and shifting onto one foot. "Alright. When I go in, you know the drill. Stay between me and the register's line of sight, and we play it cool." It was obvious that this was not their first rodeo. Rarely had Amara found a demi god outside of the Hermes cabin that would be as adept at crime as Lee. She had been so proud when she first taught him how to sneak candy bars in his pocket. The girl reached up and playfully flicked the young man's nose before grinning, spinning, and sauntering through the doors.

This was the kind of thing that came naturally to Amara. Thank dad she supposed. As she wove through racks of clothes with Lee in tow, and ducked into a side isle of candy bars- one would never suspect a thing. Her hand lingered over a t shirt, gaze fluttered over a pair of glasses, no one who wasn't looking would notice how when she turned a corner she reached out, grabbing a chocolate bar and pressing it against her wrist before casually slipping it down the waist band of her shorts. All the while, talking to Lee. "How do you think campfire will go tonight? The Apollo cabin always pulls out the stops for the first night back."

Raphael studied his newly braided hair in appreciation as his sisters spoke. Certainly this summer would have to be an interesting one if the Aphrodite kids had anything to say about it. "I imagine if there are any new campers it'll become apparent at dinner time. Ooo I wonder if anyone will get claimed this summer? That's always fun!" Raphael wiggled in his seat excitedly as he turned to look back at his sisters. Kasey was glancing out the window- clearly interested in someone she had seen. Raphael imagined she was excited to say hello to every one- that's just how Kasey was. She was popular at camp- which was expected of an Aphrodite child- but Kasey especially was well liked by a lot of campers.

Raphael glanced over to Lea and nodded with a small smile slipping over his cheeks. "Well ladies, shall we go search the camp for our friends? And any potential hotties for this summer?" The man playfully wiggled his eyebrows as he stood and went over to his own bunk- sheathing his broad sword to his back after he had strapped on his harness, and slipping on his holster for his pistol. The man never expected trouble at camp- but he liked to invite new campers to the arena to get a read on their skills and give them a head start in training.

"Hey Lea, if we meet any newbies, wanna help me crash course 'em at the arena? Might be fun to start another sparring class this summer." Both Raphael and Lea were unique Aphrodite kids in the sense that they never shied away from battle. Raphael suspected it was part of their godly blessing from their mother- both looked naturally stunning even dripping in sweat. Well, there were always different kinds of beauty he supposed. Perhaps that was the point. No he couldn't get philosophical now- Raphael ripped his attention back to his sister, pausing to wait for her response.

Kasey watched as Raphael gathered his weapons, raising an eyebrow at the pistol. She was pretty good with a sword herself, enough to surprise anyone who was expecting the stereotypical Aphrodite's kid, but didn't have quite the same prowess as her half-siblings did. Still, she grabbed her sword—which was inside a garish pink scabbard that twinkled in the light—and stood to accompany Raphael. She would probably end up on the sidelines, but it was always nice to see her siblings absolutely destroy people while looking perfect while doing so. "I'll go along just to make sure you don't kill anyone," Kasey joked, knowing that both her siblings were too skilled to lose control. Still, it would be good to have a cabin counselor around in case something did happen.

A delighted laugh escaped Asher when he witnessed Mickie's reaction. He felt like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders, a weight that had been building since last year's end-of-camp ceremony. "Yeah, well, everyone wants a piece of this, right?" he said, gesturing down at himself and snorting a bit. Then what Mickie said hit him. "Wait...you, McKinley Sharpe, hexed someone? No way!" Asher practically crowed in delight. The quiet, kind girl, hexing people...was this what year-round camping did to people? He was going to tease her about this forever.

xxxLea could practically see Kasey wanting to go greet some of her friends as they came in. So did Lea. She desperately wanted to find Roman. She didn't know why the urge to find him was strong, but it was there. Maybe it was the butterflies in her stomach that came around or the rush of adrenaline he gave her. But if her siblings wanted to run down to the arena and start something down there, she was fine. "Yeah, sure thing! Another sparring class would be interesting. We could definitely do that," Lea chimed, maneuvering around the bunks back to her bed to slip a secondary weapon, a small dagger, into one of her belt loops. With a wave of her hand and a little magic given by her mother, the belt loop fit to hold the dagger. She'd fix this later after she was done for the day. "I'll meet you guys down there. I've gotta say hello to a few more people before I want to run off." Lea felt the nervous butterflies come to her stomach, but she tried to ignore it, moving closer to the door and down the front steps of cabin ten. She took a few steps into the middle of the cabin area, trying to see if the Nike cabin's door was open. She glanced around and saw Asher and Mickie near cabin 20. Maybe she'd go say hi to them?

xxxThe trip over to the camp store was quicker than expected. Lee was happy to be back to his shenanigans with Amara, much like this one. Believe it or not, Lee retained how to steal things from stores while he was gone. He wasn't a felon for stealing anything bigger than a candy bar or energy drink. Lee stepped into the camp store behind Amara, listening to her directions. He managed to block Amara from the cashier's view, standing between them and acting like he was looking at a granola bar or something that was closest to him. "I'm excited. Things'll feel like they're going back to normal. This summer feels like it's got a lot of potential. Maybe I'll finally get a girlfriend. Who knows," Lee chuckled at himself, moving around as Amara did, making sure to subtly block her from the cashier's view every so often so she could nab another granola bar or something.

Amara slipped a few more pieces into various hiding spots around herself- even managing to slip something into her boot. She picked out a few cheap candy bar's to buy to avoid suspicion, and spoke to Lee as they moved to the counter. "Yeah things are settling in really nicely this summer." The girl paused at the thought of Lee and another girl dating- trying to untangle the puzzle of emotions that settled into her belly. She didn't have any right to be jealous. She was his best friend. Steeling herself, the girl smiled playfully and nudged the boy as she set her things on the counter.

"Ooo does Lee Rivera- infamous demi god- have a crushhhhh?" Amara very carefully moved her attention to the harpy as she spoke- dropping several drachmas into her claw like hand, and gathering up their legal prizes in her own hands. She didn't want to look Lee directly in the eyes- there was something unsettled in her- perhaps she didn't completely want to hear his answer?

Snapping herself from those darkening thoughts, Amara led Lee out of the store and ducked to the side of the door- pulling out at least half a dozen snacks from under her outfit- and a slim can of redbull from her boot. Perks of big clunky boots. Handing some of the spoils to Lee, she glanced up at him, waiting for his response. She supposed ultimately- even if Lee did end up dating someone else at camp it wouldn't change things. Amara would always be his best friend- she resigned herself to helping him through anything- even if it was finding a girlfriend at camp.

Raphael watched his sister's suit up- as always impressed by their grace and ease of movement. Both of the girl's seemed antsy to go see their other friends, so Raphael let out a chuckle and gently nudged both of them out the door. "Alright you two. Go say hi to all your adoring fans. I'll be at the arena, so if you meet any newbies- or anyone who wants to spar- send them my way yeah?"

The young demigod slipped past his sisters and stepped off the porch of the cabin, pausing to look around and take in the bustle of camp. Over by the camp store Amara and Lee had perched up against the wall- clearly already getting into trouble. Raph paused for a moment to motion to them, directing his attention up to his sisters. "And we definitely need to get on that project." And with that, the man blew a kiss to his beloved siblings, and sauntered off towards the arena. Maybe he should stop by the are's cabin and see if any of them wanted to spar?

Raphael tended to get along with the Ares cabin surprisingly well for an Aphrodite kid, probabl part of being one of their dad's champions. All the demigods there tended to have more aggressive natures- and their fighting prowess was nearly unmatched. It thrilled the young man to no end. He loved having challenging partners to fight against.

Her grin turned sheepish. "Only a little one," she said. "It was just a pebble in their shoe they could never find." Truth be told, she couldn't quite remember if she had dissolved the hex or not, or even who it had been on. Surely they had gone to Mallory to get it dissolved. "In my defense though, I'm perfectly responsible ninety-nine percent of the time."

Xander was, to put it simply, thrilled to be back at camp. He dropped his bags on the bunk he had claimed countless times before, feeling a sense of relief and security flow over him for the first time since he had left in the fall. Usually, he didn't have to worry about monsters all that much. But something about this recent winter had been driving them nuts to the point he wasn't certain if he'd make it to camp. He glanced around the cabin, wondering where the rest of his siblings were.

There were about two and a half things that Josie was sure of. The first was that she had been sitting on the bank of the lake since somewhere before dawn. Several hours, if the position of the sun was anything to go by. The second was that her hair was an absolute mess with stalks of lavender knotted and tied into her thick, dark locks. She would have to find the Aphrodite children to help her get all of the tangles out. The third thing she knew, she didn't really know for certain as the days of the week and time as a general concept had escaped her the last few days. Nevertheless, she was fairly certain it was time for camp to open for the summer, a fact that raised her spirits just a little.
Oh, there's another thing, she thought to herself. Her cup was empty.

xxxx everything was finally back in it's place. for a month he'd been staying with his mother - an odd arrangement, as demigods usually stayed either year round or just for the summer. mickey's mom missed him dearly, and despite being a child of one of the big three and risking danger by straying outside of the camp's protection, it was worth it to see her. he'd just returned from his short visit and put back all of his belongings. even though his mother's apartment was familiar and comfortable, he considered camp home. specifically his cabin, with its dark obsidian walls. the lack of windows made it calming, and though it was a bit cheesy, it kept the other campers away with it's looming intimidation. the skull above the doorway seemed to stare down anyone who walked past, daring them to enter.

mick had just pulled the camp shirt over his head and stood observing it in the mirror. orange was never his color. his lip curled in slight disgust, brows furrowed. he appreciated the camp and it's serving of the demigods - but this shirt was unforgivable. to save himself from having to look at the thing, mickey tugged on one of his tattered and over-sized black sweatshirts and called it a day. he quickly patted down his pockets to make sure he had the essentials; his zippo (when flicked open, to the handlers surprise, it'd burst into a sword instead of flames), a pack of cigarettes (dirty habit), and a small box of toothpicks. all set, ready to go.

the pink-haired boy stepped tentatively out of his dark cabin and into the sun of the summer day. mick absently wondered that the apollo cabin must be thrilled about the weather. outside the cabins around him, demigods were happily speaking with friends they hadn't seen in months. admittedly mickey enjoyed the peace and quiet of the days when most were gone, but summer always buzzed with life and activity.

mick squinted, a hand raising to his brow to shade his eyes from the harsh light, a stark contrast from the room he'd just stepped out of. grey hues flicked around, searching for familiar faces. he'd been here for long enough to know almost everyone, the beads on his necklace proved his years.

xxxROMAN shot a look to noi, did this kid really have truly no clue? the guy would probably faint as soon as he saw chiron. roman patted the new kid, eichi as he learned his name to be, on the shoulder. "ready for the best summer of your life? we can promise you it's a tight knit family, regardless of who claims you." a part of roman wondered if eichi would be claimed by nike, or maybe ares with adam or even zeus with noi. his eyes followed the sight line of other campers crossing the border. "uhh, noi? i'm gonna head in. i want to put my bags down, see some people, i'll come round later if you need help with him?" the trio of them were probably the last to enter the camp grounds, which wasn't unlike roman. one time he showed up to camp maybe two days late? he certainly got a talking to for that one.

xxxHE slowly broke apart from the group, "it was nice to meet you eichi!" he called as ducked around the pine tree and pulled his bag close again. on his short journey his mind began to clear. it always stumped him when unclaimed kids came into camp. roman himself had been told he was different from the get-go. aside from "ruining" the family dynamic, roman was told of his parentage (with restrictions of course, he knew he was a demi-god, he just didn't know who his parent was) from the moment he could talk. it did make him relieved to know that eichi would be welcomed at camp half-blood regardless of his parentage, and who knew, maybe he might have a sibling by the bonfire tonight?

xxxSERAPHINA huffed and pulled herself off the stairs. it was no good to sit around all day just waiting for her siblings to come to her. she dusted her hands off on her jeans and began to wander. across the way and a little further down was the aphrodite cabin, which seemed to be bustling with her children. did their two parents get along often? it depended on the day, which is how sera felt about her relationship with aphrodite children. one of which never changed, kasey and sera were always on good terms. she strolled over to their cabin, only to see two of the campers leave abruptly. "and i thought i was going to get some banter with your siblings." she chuckled and announced herself. "it's good to see you kasey."
