Gwyn did not waver when the swirling mass of shadows that came from behind her materialized into the female now standing behind Saskia. She shifted her gaze to look at her, and raised an eyebrow. As she did so, Gwyn felt a presence beside her, and she instantly knew it was Feyre. The Queen still had not spoken, but that did not faze her. She could faintly hear muttering from somewhere nearby, followed by footsteps coming closer to them. As the figure neared, Gwyn realized it was Noah. She would recognize his scent and presence anywhere. With Feyre on her left, and Noah on her right, Gwyn was even more confident than before.

"Are you just going to stand there, or are you going to come in?" She asked, with a bit too much sass than one should probably use when speaking to a notorious Queen. Gwyn hadn't seen or heard from Calahan for a while, and she just hoped that when she turned around he would be there. Slowly and dramatically, Gwyn stepped aside and gestured with a broad sweep of her arm to the rest of the Hall. She turned and looked over her shoulder at the Queen and her entourage. "Come, the party's only just begun."

After his grand entrance to the party, Cal had made his rounds and then slipped out onto one of the many balconies for some fresh air. Taking a deep breath of the ocean air, Cal instantly felt his nerves calming. As he made to go back inside, he froze when he heard the music and the chatter cease. He knew what that meant, and he was only slightly surprised. When he had invited the Skagans to the celebration, Audri had warned him that the chances of them actually showing up were slim. But, here they were. Taking a final deep breath, Cal adjusted his deep blue blazer, straightened his spine, and silently re-entered the Great Hall.

There were a few things he immediately took in. His sister, Gwyn, was basically strutting over to where the Queen and the others with her stood, regal and powerful as always. Then, Cal noticed a swirling mass of smoke come from behind him and materialize into who he could only assume was the famed witch, Talvayas, behind Saskia. He then watched as Feyre walked up and joined the princess. He spotted his brother, Audri, whispering something to Noah and then looking around. Cal caught his brother's eye and gesturing with a tilt of his head to follow him. Cal made his way through the now silent crowd to stand in front of them all, a few paces behind where Gwyn, Feyre and Noah now stood. He turned his head and locked eyes with Audri and nodded slightly. Head high and hands folded in front of him, Cal watched as Feyre turned and opened the room to the Queen, where Cal and Audri were waiting.

"Queen Saskia," he announced, dipping his head in respect. "Welcome to Aeralya."

♔ NOAH 001 // SASKIA 002

It was all well and good, having a party, but the intention behind it made Noah nervous. For as long as man could remember, Aeralya had been in a near-constant conflict with its northern sister, Skaga; and for the gates of Morena to be opened for freely to these savages... He knew he ought not to think of them in that way, but it was difficult to see them any different. The tapestries, the carvings on the furniture, everything in this castle depicted the triumphs of Aeralya over a barbaric and uncivilized people. He had only just earned his knighthood when the last conflict came about, and it was still raw in his memory. At the time, he couldn't help but think that perhaps they were in the wrong as opposed to the Skagans, but he would never have raised his voice on the matter. Years older now, though, and he spoke of chivalry and honour, like it was his mother tongue. He wondered if, tonight, the Myros family might also display these qualities in the presence of their 'guests'.

He took a final swig from his goblet, too entranced by the music and the floods of people around him to notice Gwyn approach. She was playful and lighthearted despite the situation, much like most of the others present, as she glided across the floor. The young knight admired her for her bubbly nature and couldn't help but grin after her. The grin quickly faded as the heavy entryway doors were opened, and the music pitched at an uncomfortable halt - and there appeared the Skagans, with their White Queen leading the way. She looked like something out of a myth; Noah had never seen a person embody a colour so precisely. She seemed like a ghost, walking into the Great Hall and bringing such a chill to the air. The Aeralyans stared in silence, gawking, as Gwyn stepped forward to 'welcome' the Queen and her people. Noah noticed that they all seemed to have come without their weapons, as natural law declared they ought to, when a guest under a host's roof. But her guards all wore clothes similar to their Queen - only their tunics, breeches and boots were a dark grey. He couldn't help but be amazed at the sheer strangeness of it all. Men and women both braided their hair in intricate weaves down their backs, and wore rings of bronze and silver and gold upon their fingers. He found it strange that for a kingdom whose riches came from rare and precious stones, they did not appear to boast this; even the metalwork of their rings and their belts were simple and clean.

Noah was abruptly pulled from his thoughts as Audri took his shoulder, nudging him towards the Skagans to stand by Gwyn's side. He nodded and set his goblet on the nearest table, striding across the hall to stand behind Gwyn and Feyre. From behind, the two could pass for twins, with their tumbles of blonde hair. There was a warmth to them that was so clearly absent from Queen Saskia, all shades of white. He raised his chin, held it high, as other knights joined him in a defensive line, backing their household. He held his breath as Gwyn extended her hand to Saskia. The White Queen had not taken her gaze off Gwyn since she had stepped forward, and her storm-grey eyes were beyond unsettling. Noah could tell from Gwyn's posture that she fancied herself taller than the northern Queen, as if her high heels gave her all the power in the world over her. His eyes flashed to the Queen, cautious, as tendrils of smoke flowed into the hall behind the Skagan Queen, making her all the more daunting. Magic was frowned upon in Aeralya, but in the distant north of Skaga, people were free to practice the art as they pleased - at a personal cost, no doubt. The being that existed in the smoke materialized with a flash of lighting and a crack of thunder, revealed a woman - no, a Witch. Noah gritted his teeth. It wouldn't matter that they had all obeyed the guest law, when their guest arrived with a magic being in their hoarde, who could wreck more than enough havoc on her own. Noah had never met a Witch in real life, but he knew from stories that they were wild, vicious creatures, unpredictable and cunning. He suspected that there must have been some truth to all of this as the Witch cracked a playful smile across her lips. He knew her name to be Talvayas, but only from stories. The Skagan Queen regarded Gwyn's hand, but did not take it. Her gaze was only averted as a familiar voice spoke up, and Calahan had cleared the way down the centre of the hall, with Audri at his side. Noah's eyes did not stray from Saskia, so cautious of how she might react.

Saskia could scarcely believe the sheer disrespect in this woman's greeting, as she strutted across the Great Hall, bangles jingling and golden hair flowing. Her dress was the only sound in the hall, swishing along the flagstones, while everybody stared in anticipation. The Aeralyan Princess stood but three inches taller, and only for her high heels; the way she looked down her nose might have sparked a reaction in other members of Saskia's family, but she did not so much as flinch. She knew the Myros family were a pack of well-groomed cats, pouncing and prowling with all the grace in the world. Her grey eyes gave nothing away as she stared at this golden girl. She thought how easy it would be, how exposed the girl's skin was, and how quick it would all be over if she simply ended it all there and then. There was a distinctive chill in the air as Talvayas entered the hall - all smoke and shadows, as befitted any Skagan Witch. Saskia remained expressionless, though inside she smirked over the Aeralyans scrambling in fear from Talvayas' smoke form. These people knew nothing of magic, knew only that they ought to fear it - she supposed, that was enough.

She listened to this child's snarky comments and gazed at her, distant and daunting, not amused in the slightest. Another golden girl had joined her side in apparent greeting, though she spoke no words; Saskia supposed that this ought to be their Ward, Feyre Agnor. Stories of her parents' passing had even reached the northern peaks, but Saskia knew nothing true of the girl. Behind them stood a knight and a company of others, all unarmed it would seem, but standing with chins held high and with cautious eyes. Saskia's gaze was only brought from the Myros girl when the people behind them cleared to reveal her siblings - Calahan and Audri, Aeralya's King and Prince. They were not like their sister; the greeting from the King was more respectful in his address, for start, but both boys had dark hair where their sister was fair.

She clasped her hands together, and bowed her head. From her right hand, she slipped her First Victor's Ring, and placed it instead on the middle finger of her left hand. Her head was still bowed as she spoke in her mother tongue, a language that Aeralyans largely couldn't comprehend. She lifted her head, brought her clasped hands to her lips, and kissed the ring on her left hand, opening her eyes again and returning her arms to her sides. A murmur ran through the hall - many were confused, but a few people recognized the meaning of what the Queen had just done, and word soon carried about the hall. The Skagan Queen had taken her First Victor's Ring and placed it on her opposite hand, to symbolize a warrior's peace - and the words she spoke resembled the equivalent of saying Gods bless you and yours. It was an ancient greeting in Skaga, appropriate perhaps if the party had been hosted in Conráth. The greeting and blessing would be unfamiliar to the Aeralyans, making it all the more apparent how starkly different they were. Her gaze was piercing as she looked directly past the Princess, the Ward, the Knight and his company, even the Prince. She stepped forth into the Great Hall, feeling Talvayas' presence and knowing that nothing could hurt her with the power of a Witch and their Gods on her side.

A few steps behind his Queen, no weapon in sight and head held high, trailed Eldrich among the other guards in Saskia's entourage. To a stranger His stance gave away no visible tension, with shoulders pulled back and his trademark playful slouch instinctively abandoned in favor of a properly straightened spine, even long before their official arrival at the scene. The man's whole body, however, was continually prepared to jump into action throughout their journey. Mellow candlelight from the Great Hall filled his vision immediately upon opening the heavy doors, and Eldrich noted that few times in his life had he been as delighted to hear band music cease and all chatter in a gathering dissipate as in that exact moment.

The first person among the Aeralyans to catch his eye was the princess, Gwyneth. Not as much the flowing, warm-toned clothing that contrasted with Saskia's garnment, which his gaze had been following for the larger part of the evening so far, and Eldrich's own darker armor giving a cool, silvery shine against the candlelight, as the simple, yet effective greeting. Just as quickly as his eyes were trained on the royal, they now pierced into the frames of her guards, silently sizing them up. His ears picked up some muffled turmoil among the closest bystanders, though he had no particular interest in or means of discerning their words right now. It would take a trained eye to witness a subtle upturned mouth corner and an eyebrow arch as Talvayas materialized from the shadows, though at that point it was mostly the reactions to her spells that never failed to amuse Eldrich. Perhaps he would never fully grasp Talvayas' abilities, or the concept of magical power in general, yet he had decided to place his full trust in them. What cannot be explained does not necessarily have to be feared.

While he had expected the king to follow suit with yet another polite introduction, Eldrich knew better than to let his guard down ever so slightly. He watched carefully as Saskia greeted the opposite royal family in a Skagan manner, and though the expressions he glimpsed on Aeralyan locals' faces were riveting, his vigilant gaze kept returning to some of the more tense knights he could detect in the room.

Swiftly, Feyre moved to make way for Calahan and Audri to make their own introductions. Saskia and her royal guards were a stark contrast against the Aerayla royals. She looked at the Queen with respect in her eyes and bowed her head with Calahan before stealing a glance towards Audri. She had so much she wanted to express in that very moment. Feyre had never met anyone from Skaga, despite always hearing stories of the north. Yes, they were not always positive but that is to expect when the person telling you these stories is typically the enemy of Skaga. Was he feeling the same way she did at this moment? Was he impressed? She made a mental note to find him after to spew out all of her thoughts onto him. Her emotions and thoughts were not easy to contain, and at times she often caught herself talking to herself, having to let these feelings run free. Feyre knew she wanted to paint this scene later, especially since it could either be the beginning or end of something great.

She watched Saskia remove her ring, placing it on her left middle finger and listened to the unfamiliar words she spoke. She had been briefly taught a bit of the native language of Skaga but it was nothing significant and did not remotely help her in these moments. Though it was clear what Saskia spoke of was a response to their welcoming. As Saskia stepped further into the hall, Feyre smiled softly to the Queen before speaking. "That was beautiful, I must say."

𝐌𝐚𝐯𝐲𝐫𝐨𝐧 𝐈𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐤𝐬
Prince of Skaga//Located at the Great Hall//Tagged With Everyone at the Moment//Feeling Restless

The tension was palpable from the time they had arrived in the country into the evening of festivities. His mind had strayed while he waited for his older sister to make her entrance. She was the foreign queen of Skaga, followed closely behind by their best guards in rows of two. It was a solemn procession, and completely unnecessary in his opinion. Well, how else were they supposed to bring the guards into the hall? Why not make a show of their country's might while they're at it.

He was not feeling particularly well that evening. There was a churning of uneasiness in the pit of his stomach but the queen's orders were absolute. No matter what path she'd chosen to cut through, he would follow. And follow he did with his attendants in tow, and a few guests of esteem from Skaga's royal court.

Mavyron entered with a dignified and sophisticated grace very similar to his older sister's own conduct. He didn't smile. His gaze was fixed forward, and unwavering. It was evident he was not dressed for the warmer climate of Aeralya. He was decorated in one of Skaga's finest fur capes that almost touched the floor. Accents of gold metal pieces here and there complimented the white embellished tunic he wore, and contrasted with the darker fur cape. The only piece of jewelry adorning him was a single, intricate emerald brooch pinned on his breast. It was was not only an heirloom of the Skagan royal family, but also a symbol of his royal status as prince of Skaga.

He had stopped breathing, he realized.

Eyes from around the hall were on them.

It was his turn now to greet the members of the Aeralya's royalty with a courteous bow. The silvery blue of his eyes for a brief moment, had fallen onto the floor before rising up to meet the gazes of the Myros daughters, then, the current king of Aeralya. Calahan Myros, his reputation precedes him. He took the throne after his father's untimely death to sickness, and since then, had been doing what he could to connect the two realms over their differences. His efforts might have come too late, but he was still left to clean up the mess his father made. His sister had been severe about meeting them, and she had reason to. The change in leadership had been too sudden over a vast history of war between the two countries. And their parents—their blood painted the Myros coat of arms. It was too much to think about, currently.

What reason made them suddenly change their attitude towards Skaga eluded him.

"We are humbled to be here this evening."

Audri winced at Gwyn’s words. There was no tact in those words, and although he understood where his sister was coming from, he wished he could have swooped in and been the first to greet the queen, to spare them all from the uncertain silence that now filled the hall. Though Saskia made no move to respond, he could see the disconcertment in her eyes at being treated so informally. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.

Finally, he spotted Cal, who gave him a subtle jerk of his head, beckoning him over. Audri obliged with a prick of annoyance, having planned to do so anyway, and he wove through the Aeralyans until he reached his brother, who walked to the center of the room. Audri glanced over at the queen, and noticed a woman now standing directly behind her, one that hadn’t been there before. He realized with a start that she was the shadowy figure who had come through the walls like they were clouds, and he felt a vague inkling of disgust in his belly. The Skagan queen had brought a witch with her? Perhaps she was more cautious than he had thought. If nothing else, she had found a loophole. While it appeared she bore no weapons as was custom, the laws said nothing about magic-wielding. Fear nestled itself in the pit of his stomach as he followed Cal to the front of the gathering. They stopped behind Gwyn and Feyre, who stood aside at the king’s arrival.

A quick scan of all parties showed that Noah had taken his place beside the princess, along with many of the other knights of Morena. Anyone would say that they performed their guard duties well, but sometimes, Audri thought, they needed to ease up a little. Yes, it was their job to protect Aeralya and the royal family, but he willed them not to stand so defensively, as they were doing. The last thing they needed was for Saskia to see that King Myros didn’t truly want to change anything, or build trust between their kingdoms.

Audri lingered beside Calahan, and although his posture was upstanding and inflexible, he kept his gaze lowered in respect as his brother welcomed them. He was relieved, more than anything, that Cal recognized the gravity of the situation, and addressed Saskia properly. She seemed to find the king’s words more acceptable, and responded with a native Skagan greeting. Audri understood the strange tongue in its basest form; she wasn’t wishing ill upon them. That was a start. Still, he was suspicious. Was she trying to insult them by using an unfamiliar language?

Regardless of his racing thoughts, he bowed, saying softly, “thank you, Queen Saskia. Welcome.” He could only hope that his brother would follow suit and show enough deference to the queen. After a moment of bated breath, she stepped inside, and her cavalcade with her. When Feyre spoke up, Audri lifted his head, a smile tugging at his lips in agreement with the simple yet heart-felt compliment. The crowd seemed to sense a break in the tense atmosphere, and began to resume their frivolous activities, voices slowly growing to a gentle humming around them.

Another group of Skagans followed Saskia through the large doors, led by a man who could only be Prince Mavyron. Unlike the queen’s guards, dressed conservatively with functionality in mind, this bunch was decorated a bit more extravagantly. The prince himself wore a fur cape. It looked heavy, and Audri started sweating just at the thought of having that weight on his shoulders. The prince bowed to Gwyn and Feyre before facing the king. Audri tipped his head forward slightly to return the bow, despite the fact that he hadn’t been acknowledged by the prince, or any of the Skagan royalty. Not that he minded. In fact, he preferred to go unnoticed as Cal’s shadow in public settings such as this.

Bold of him to speak for his sister. Audri was beginning to wonder just how different their cultures were, how much he still didn’t know about them. Audri didn’t know how Cal would react if he ever did something like that. Were the Iorek siblings so close that Saskia’s rule was thought to be interchangeable between the three of them? Historically, he couldn’t recall that ever being the case, but maybe she didn’t mind. Or did the queen think she was above a mortal answer? Audri looked to Calahan to respond, lips slightly parted in question. He felt a spark of anticipation; the evening was about to get significantly more interesting than ducks or candle wax.

The Witch of the Frozen Moon
talvayas. tags. literally everyone but mostly Cal & Saskia

When the King finally made his appearance Talvayas’ gaze practically locked onto him and she made a slight gesture with her left hand. Mavyron’s entrance, dramatic as always not that she was one to throw stones in a glass house, seem to pull people’s attention towards him and away from her. Leaving her spell casting subtle enough to go without anyone noticing unless they were closely watching her hands, at least that’s what she hoped. She breathed out a few words in the arcane language focusing on the small spell to see if Cal held any ill will towards them. She was pleasantly surprised to find the spell picked up on nothing, and she almost felt guilty about what she’d done to the guards in other areas of the palace. Almost, they’d be fine as soon as she released her spell anyways.

She touched Saskia’s shoulder, quietly whispering in her native language, “Believe it or not my Queen his intentions are true, he means us no harm”. From what she’d been told most Aeralyans couldn’t understand the language anyways but there was no harm in keeping it quiet. Unfortunately, the spell had the distinct side effect of alerting whoever it was cast on almost subconsciously that someone had done something. In her experience most people weren’t diligent enough to pick up on the exact information someone was looking for, but every once in a while she was surprised. Talvayas turned her full attention back to the young King deliberately slow curiously waiting to see how he’d react.

The first to react to her gesture was the Ward. She had bowed, polite and respectful, and even managed a bit of a smile, complimenting the greeting. Saskia looked to the girl and wondered if she was a fool or a flatterer or perhaps both, or perhaps neither. She bowed her head and almost managed a stiff, slight smile, when her charming brother swooped in with a gracious statement. Sometimes she wondered if he was a fool or a flatterer as well. Her eyes drifted from Feyre Agnor as she turned her head downwards at to her side, where Talvayas murmured to her. She trusted the Witch and gave the slightest nod, looking across to her brother without expression. "Make him aware of our intentions here, lest he should forget, as he seemingly has." Saskia said in their mother tongue, flickering her eyes to Talvayas before tilting her head back to the Aeralyans. Prince Audri spoke with a voice smooth as honey, and she bowed her head to him as well, equal to Feyre. She walked forward, feeling Talvayas nearby, and that reassured her. From the corner of her eye she could just about make out Eldrich as well, ever constant and steady. She did not so much as shy as she approached the Aeralyans, passing their guards with almost disinterest. Talvayas' spells were never wrong, and if she claimed that this King offered no ill will, then she believed it - but she was not so sure about the sister, who had spoken so brashly. Saskia thought her to be a fool indeed. She wondered about Audri, and how he might compare if Talvayas had cast the same spell on him and his sister. She knew that the magic could be detected by the 'victim' if their mind was sharp, so did not make the request, in case the whole family started to fire out accusations of stealing thoughts.

As she walked, tensions seemed to ease, and the music started up again - slower than the previous song, but still lighthearted and easy. People continued their chatter and returned to the meat and mead, as she strode along the flagstones. Her footsteps were lost in the bustle and noise as the party continued on. She paused when she reached Feyre, standing by Gwyneth. Her gaze rested on the Ward, as if the Princess was not there at all. In the girl's golden hair, pins of shining yellow-gold decorated her like ornaments. Her features were soft and delicate, typical of southerners, and Saskia noticed a distinctive scent of sea breeze and coconut. She supposed most of the household took on that scent as their own. Where Saskia's eyes were cool and dark, Feyre's were warm and bright, like her hair, her skin, her clothes. "These are pretty," she commented, gesturing to the gold pins in Feyre's hair, and then to the fine silver rings strung through her northern braid. "I never much suited gold but it seems to be the preference here."

Noah watched the exchange with a careful gaze, feeling tense right through his core. But the tensions did seem to lift, as Saskia walked further into the hall; the music started up again and people returned to their chatter. His gaze then drifted from her to the Witch at her side, who was seriously putting him on edge - and then his eyes fell on who he imagined must have been the Queensguard. He was about Noah's height, and swarthy skin, a contrast to the pale Queen in front of him. The man's back was straight as a pin and his eyes were dark and wary. Noah watched as he stepped forth into the hall, along with the rest of the Skagan household. The northern Prince walked along as well, chin held high and proud. There was no sign of the third Skagan monarch, Azurine, though nobody had commented on the matter. That made Noah cautious as well. He turned and hovered at a safe distance to Feyre and Gwyn, scarcely able to believe his ears when the northern Queen spoke direct to Feyre, and not to Gwyn. She would be utterly offended, he had no doubt. Skagan customs were strange and largely unknown to him - although her had recognized the meaning behind the ring gesture. He wondered what the Myros family would make of all that too. He didn't know what custom could justify ignoring a princess for a Ward, but held his tongue, and kept his eyes firmly on the Queensguard.

Gwyn noted with reluctant respect and admiration the weight and meaning behind the northern Queen's actions. The shifting of the ring, the bowing. Though she didn't understand the exact words Saskia spoke, she could recognize the gesture and the general meaning. They came bearing no harm, or so they said. Gwyn was not one to let her guard down that easily. She knew she hadn't exactly been polite or respectful enough when she first greeted the Queen, and she could only hope Cal and Audri wouldn't kill her for it later. She could tell Saskia wasn't quite happy with her, especially when she approached them and outright ignored the princess in favour of talking to Feyre. A master at maintaining a neutral expression, Gwyn merely blinked at the action. It was evident that from the Queen's warmer greeting to Calahan and Feyre, the two women were not currently on the best of terms. Gwyn knew how badly Cal wanted peace, and decided it would be best to try and repair, at least somewhat, the damage she had done earlier.

"I must apologize, Queen Saskia, for my earlier hostility." Gwyn began, respectfully bowing her head as she turned to speak to the Skagan Queen. "You can understand I was merely surprised and concerned about the meaning behind your appearance, I hope?" she continued, a slight lilt at the end of her sentence marking it as almost a question. Gwyn swallowed her pride and continued, apologies not something she enjoyed making. "But I recognize and admire your gesture of peace, and I'd like to be able to continue forward on good terms, if you will allow it." she finished, brushing a loose strand of hair behind her ear as she spoke. She made sure her gaze never left the Queens, and she stood, back straight, as she awaited her response.

Calahan was surprised at the graciousness of the Queen's actions. While he could not understand the words Saskia spoke, he recognized their meaning and importance. Only a few moments later, a man Cal could only assume was Prince Mavyron entered the Hall, followed by a handful of other people. These men were more lavishly dressed than the guards that had preceded them. The prince himself wore a heavy fur cape, and Cal thought with a tinge of amusement how much the man would regret wearing that if they had come during the day, when the sun was at it's peak. Suddenly, a strange feeling crept up Cal's spine, and he shook his head once to try and clear it. When he looked up, he saw Talvayas, the Skagan witch, whispering something into her Queen's ear and then turning her gaze back onto him. He knew then that she must have cast some sort of spell upon him. He racked his brain for what she could possibly be looking for, and remembered something his father had mentioned in passing many years ago. There was some sort of spell to expose someone's intentions and if they had any ill intent. He assumed that that was what the spell was, and locked eyes with Talvayas, raising an eyebrow but also dipping his head slightly to admit he was impressed. He didn't blame them for wanting to double check.

Footsteps approached, and Cal turned his attention away from the witch to see prince Mavyron approaching him and Audri. Cal dipped his head as the prince approached, and was glad to see his brother do the same. "It is our pleasure, Prince Mavyron." Cal replied, giving a small smile. He glanced sideways at Audri and placed a hand gently on his brother's shoulder. "Prince Audri and I, as well as my sister, Princess Gwyn, are very glad that you all could come." Cal added, gesturing with his other hand to the numerous Skagans that had since entered the hall. "I am looking forward to meeting with you all soon. You will be staying for a few days, I hope?" he asked, dropping his hand from Audri's shoulder and folding them loosely in front of him.

Feyre was pleased with the shift in the mood as the music began to play once more and the uneasy murmurs returned to laughs. With this, her spirits rose once more and she allowed her self to enjoy the event with a new perspective. Now it was not only her people indulging themselves into the coronation but Saskia's people as well. A seed of hope was growing in her heart, and she decided to hold onto this glimmer of light for the rest of the night.

Feyre was a bit surprised at the approaching Skaga Queen. Out of the the other three, Feyre had the least importance. She had no claim to royalty. Her eyes lit up at the sight of Saskia, now fully processing the differences between the two woman. She knew Saskia noticed them as well, though it only made Feyre appreciate the woman and her people even more. It was refreshing to see one's contrast for her. With Saskia's compliment to her pins, Feyre nodded in gratitude while lightly touching the hair piece as she spoke. "Thank you. They were actually my mother's." Not many things had been able to survive the fire, however the pins were able to withstand the high heats luckily to being stored away properly. If they had not been, the pins would have surely melted.

Feyre motioned towards the rings in her braids with Saskia's last remark. "Those are very striking, especially under the light. They suit you well. And if you are ever interested in giving gold a shot, I have more than enough in my wardrobe." Her eyes gleamed as she spoke to Saskia and was content with the friendliness from the Queen.

She listened to Gwyn begin to apologize for her welcoming earlier. Gywn always had a way with words and if there ever was a time to use this skill it was then.
