the apocalypse has come, spread through body after body through a virus that left you with flu like symptoms for months. no one really gave it much thought until people started dying, at least they died at first. after a couple of days the bodies came back to life. by the time the first zombie appeared, it was already too late. most of the world had been infected. the cdc couldn't find a cure fast enough.
after several years the only people left on earth were those with a natural immunity and those with a impeccable hygiene. the survivors avoid the cities and decaying marks of civilization, preferring to make their homes in "tent cities". these cities are made of makeshift shelters ranging from unmovable cars, beat up rvs, tents, and even some tiny cabin like houses they've built by hand. it is like the world has been thrust back in time a couple hundred years with the shadow of the future haunting them.
but the human race is tougher than it looks, they've banded together to rebuild, raising livestock and growing crops, they will not be so easily pushed into extinction
