Her focus had been so directed to ignoring Aeron, Nina didn't even hear Hayden's casual entrance until he snatched her freshly made toast. An objection dying in her throat, Nina glared daggers into his back instead. She nearly took the toaster and changed it into a more aerodynamic projectile, but thought better of it, considering Aeron was near her target, and Nina did not want to get gravity mixed up in an early morning squabble. She made a displeased face, in fact, it was quite a pissed off expression, before the young girl cleared her face and carried her plate out to the now bustling room. Nina slowed her pace so she didn't run into her winged team mate, who had already ripped his shirt. Instead of mentioning the holes in the young man's shirt, she kept her mouth shut and made her way towards the table with a bag on it. She flashed a small smile to Celine, a silent thanks between her lips, as she grabbed one of the still warm bagels. They did smell delicious. Mer was also in the room, but Nina could recognize her discontent and annoyance at A'Mari's teasing and...a bear? Nina knew better than to bring it up, but tucked it away for later. Mer was her only close friend on the team-Celine was nice and warm to Nina, but they never got much of a chance to hang out because Celine was always away on missions- and she wanted to make sure she was okay.

As A'Mari stood up and moved over to Celine, Nina circled around the other way and sat by her friend on the floor. She pointedly ignored his remarks, Nine didn't want to get riled up so early in the morning. Wordlessly, the small brunette patted Mer's hand reassuringly before she started to eat her bagel. However, she stopped almost immediately as A'Mari had Celine help him with his shirt. Nothing quite like an arrogant jerk to ruin one's appetite.

Nodding to both Aeron smiled "alright oolong it is," she murmured keeping her voice down for Minerva's sake. Unable to stop herself Aeron's dark gaze lingered on the bruises that were dark spots on her pale skin. Knowing Celine Neptune hoped that whoever had done it was dead if they weren't she could easily crush them into a fine powder. Her thoughts interrupted by a door closing in the distance the energy of the room suddenly picked up as A'Mari entered the room.

Stepping into the kitchen it was just as well that she offered to make tea, Aeron worked well with her teammates but she couldn't chat, that just wasn't what she preferred to invest her time in. As soon as she'd entered the kitchen Aeron spotted the small frame of one of the newest members of The Pantheon, Pluto. So far Aeron was impressed by her work ethic but it seemed that Nina wasn't fond of her so of course there was no reason for them to make small talk, the mutant seemed very focused on the toaster. Filling the kettle and setting it to boil, Aeron was reaching to the cupboard with the tea bags when she heard soft footsteps entering the kitchen. A flash of dark hair jumped past her to steal a slice of toast under Nina's nose. Crinkling her brow in disapproval Aeron held her tongue, it wasn't her place to get involved and it was too early in the morning for goofing off. Almost on cue, the kettle began to scream announcing that it was boiled.

Rather than risking spilling on herself, Aeron was holding two of the three cups on saucers, tea bags still steeping away. Walking around to Celine's side of the coffee table she set her cup down "Tea for the hero," she announced softly shooting Venus a look, placing the other cup down on the farther end of the coffee table Aeron's smile faded slightly "I'm sure if you keep pushing, you'll be able to make a breakthrough." she assured Merida. Her tea delivered Areon scooped up her laptop and moved back into the kitchen, setting up on the island to fill out her last few reports on her most recent mission.

A cool morning breeze played with stray pieces of the woman's hair as she headed down the road, arms laden with groceries. When she'd gotten up this morning Rosa knew that today had to be a grocery day, the milk was almost gone and with the chances that Sterling would wake up at any time had driven the young woman on an early trip to the grocery store. Now weighed down by her loot the young mutant was already wishing she'd asked someone to go with her or at the very least hadn't forgotten to tie up her hair. The mass of curls bounced with every step and she could feel the sweat beginning to collect at the back of her neck. The overlarge green blouse wasn't helping anything. No one paid her any mind on the journey home, but of course, there wasn't any reason she'd arouse suspicion.

As soon as she was through the door Rosa could smell the coffee and hear the chatter that was going on in the kitchen. A smile passing her lips she passed through the hallway and into the kitchen "Good Morning," she said plopping down her armload on the nearest available counter space, "I didn't get a ton but help yourself" she added turning back to her friends. Glancing around there were at least a few who weren't as pleased, at least there'd been plenty of coffee in the cupboards. Slipping off her blouse and exposing the grey tank-top underneath Rosa secured it around her waist. Putting away her bags of food Rosa left three things out for everyone milk, cereal, and apples. Holding out one in particular to the young man chowing down on a giant bowl of sugary flakes Rosa smirked "All I ask is you eat one." she told Alex.

Mer was flustered with the attention and all the talking that was happening around her. This was why she woke up early, to avoid training in the hustle and bustle of Pantheon members that seemed to have so much going on. She had barely gotten a chance to roll her eyes at A'mari before he stood up to go join celine, "I'm working on loosening up, A'mari. You know that" she said quietly to him, and zoned out when he started a conversation with the shifter and handed her his shirt? She shook her head in dismay. It was a strange affair, her and A'mari's relationship. Him all too loose in his acquisitions and her all too uptight, but where the other lacked it seemed they made up for it. Even if she saw him as equivalent to a child at times.

She turned her gaze to the tea that was set in front of her by Aeron, a rare smile spread onto her face in gratitude as she reached towards the warm up of tea. Her bagel forgotten on the table in front of her. "Thank you for the tea, I'm hoping maybe to get something else soon" she bit the inside of her lip thinking of the renegades, "And then maybe we can figure out some Intel on those rogue mutants" she was deep in thought, her mind wondering to those that had left the pantheon. Felix and Dany running through her mind. Had they had anything personal they left behind this would have been easier, but when you live a life such as the pantheons you didn't care much for personal. Merida had absolutely nothing to remember her family by, she'd practically grown up in the government.

Mer snapped back into focus when a hand touched her own, and she hadn't realized that Nina had sat next to her. Lending her not much more than a head nod and kind eyes she lightly squeezed the girl's hand back. Mer supposed that if she really considered friends that Nina was one of those to her. She looked around at the room full of dangerous weapons and realized that probably most of these people were her friends to some extent. Even though it was not by choice or free will. The government probably didn't care that they got along, so long as they completed their tasks and didn't kill each other. Their tasks were certainly easier when they got along though, she thought.

"You know... I don't think he's all that bad, just a little bit immature" Mer said quietly to the girl next to her, noticing her distaste for the boy. It wasn't hard to pick up on and she was positive that anybody with a right mind and some focus could see the tension. She had shown the same distaste, but that was because she was being teased and having her valuable and necessary personal space invaded. She didn't show distaste for the boy when he was across the room and having a conversation with someone else.

Felix was distracted from the topic of codewords when he saw someone shamble towards the kitchen, feeling extremely relieved to see Sterling as dead tired as he looked. He wasn't sure what to do if the man kept sleeping. Dany's blood healing likely wouldn't work as exhaustion was the cause, not any sort of wound, and he himself had no training in how to help injured teammates beyond the basics. The Pantheon definitely did not bother asking its members to learn how to take care of each other. "Good to see you up, Sterling. Dany too." He added as another member drifted down to the kitchen. The room was becoming slightly crowded as people dropped in to get breakfast, so he moved away from the countertop to stand near the wall with his cup of coffee. They were running out of many things, he noted, seeing the empty jug of milk arc perfectly into the bin.

Lys' answer returned him to the topic at hand, and he considered her words before replying, and answering Sterling and Dany's question along the way. "Yeah, I see your point. We're planning to check out the city to see what the Pantheon's doing, and if they're too close we'll have to move. A small group would be enough, maybe two small groups to see if we can get a variety of news. Smaller groups are also less noticeable." Felix glanced at Sterling as he continued, "Two or three people to hold down the fort would be ideal as well. We don't want to lose this place." He automatically looked towards the hallway when he saw movement out of the corner of his eyes, recognizing it was Rosa on seeing the wild mass of her hair. "Morning," he said to the second-in-command, leaving his spot by the wall to grab an apple. "Thanks for shopping."

Hayden chuckled on seeing Nina's reaction, glad the day started so happily for him. He waited for her to do something, prepared to dodge, but she seemed to calm herself down and focus on Merida instead. A pity. Well, now that the threat of being attacked was gone, he dropped his guard slightly, not needing to watch his back as carefully as before. Of course, he was still alert, as always; it would be unbecoming of him and his image to be taken down because of a surprise attack, or even an attack in general. He was meant to have the role of Mars, the god of war, and a person supposedly trained in becoming a weapon. The Pantheon might not demote him or care about him being jumped (probably, depending on whatever that situation led to), but he definitely cared.

Feeling content, he decided to just watch the other members argue and interact, more focused on finishing his toast without leaving crumbs on his shirt or the countertop. The conversation from earlier seemed to revolve around the tattered bear in Merida's hands, and A'Mari talking about it definitely didn't do wonders for Merida's mood. Thirsty, he got a cup of water from the tap, turning around to notice Aeron on her laptop, typing away quickly. Curious, and also because everyone was preoccupied with someone else, he approached, looking over her shoulder. "Careful not to submit your report late, they don't like that." He said, knowing she had about three years more experience than him and likely knew this already.

Celine returned Nina's smile -mirroring it, really- before she continued picking at her bagel, humming to herself, compartmentalizing the pain as she felt her vocal folds strain. Perhaps her next assignment would be studying how the vocal tract changed from person to person; shifting to disguise her voice, and heal wounds like these, would be beneficial in the long run. Musing through the possibilities, Celine had largely tuned out the conversation til she heard A'mari call her name.

"Hmm. That is a predicament." Celine humored A'mari as she got up, accepting the shirt and delicately stretching the shirt just enough so she could fit one of his wings in. Her gaze passed over his scars like they weren't even there, expression melting into one of complete impassiveness as she set about her task. Once both wings were through, Celine patted him lightly on the back. "You're good. Just pull it over your head. If you need help with flying, I can maybe assist you in bird form, help you with some of the intricacies of flying."

She then blinked, realizing he had continued talking. "Ah... Maybe one day, I'm sure. But I'm not sure you'd like to see how I get these bruises. Or- maybe you'd like looking a little too much." She smirked, patting him again before returning to her seat.

Returning to her seat, she gave Aeron a light smile and a brief nod as she accepted the warm mug. "Thank you." She rasped, laughing lightly at the title. "Just doing my job." Taking a sip and sighing in satisfaction at the warm liquid flowing like an herbal balm, Celine pointedly ignored the unsatisfied murmurs floating around her, tapping at her phone instead.

A frown; a small crack was making its way through her screen protector. Maybe when she dropped her purse that morning it did more damage than she thought- she would have to check on her lip gloss later, make sure it hadn't leaked. "You mean the small group of rag-tag vigilantes that somehow found their way together? I'm sure we'll kill them sooner or later." She interjected smoothly, still inspecting her phone for more damage. "I have an old case file of one that had escaped me, years ago. Perhaps we can revisit her."

Getting up after she had finished her tea and bagel, Celine began to make her way down the hall. "I'll go bring up the file after I take a shower. Let me know if I missed something?"

"I'm good, Lys; thank you! And ooooh, reconnaissance!" Alex lowered his voice into a tone that was comically ominous as he simultaneously wiggled his fingers, spoon dripping a few splatters of milk onto the table. "I'm here for it! You can trust me to keep a low profile." He grinned, eyes widening innocently; truly, the picture of a rambunctious, eager high schooler.

"H-hey, my cornflakes! I wanted another bowl..." Alex grumbled good naturedly, as the box knocked lightly against his shoulder on its way to Sterling's hand. Giving the tired man a grin, he continued shoveling cereal into his mouth, barely chewing as he piled sugary cereal high on his spoon.

"I'll be included on the mission, right, Felix? Being cooped up here is so boooring." Felix whined, leaning further on the table and giving everyone his best "how could you deny these dimples and baby-blue eyes" pout. "I can, uh, cover a lot of distance! Running around ain't no problem for me, and a lil' bump or some scrapes or bruises here won't faze me either. Look! I got this this morning rolling- uh, getting out of bed!" He lifted his arms and jabbed at a bruise, already a faded pink. "Ow- I mean, no, see? It's fine! I'm perfect for this, right? Lys? Oh- food!"

Shutting his babbling with another mouthful of cereal, Alex reached his unoccupied hand over to snatch the apple up from Rosa's hand. "Thank you, Rosa! I love it. I'm eating healthily, I promise!" Now mowing his way through both fruit and sugary carbs, Alex found his mouth otherwise occupied as he looked at everyone with a bright, inquisitive gaze.
