jaehyun eyed each person as they entered the lobby, first seeing a surprisingly relaxed student seated on a bench. as well as a somewhat annoyed, a bit snobbish-looking girl about the same age as himself - was she coming closer? she gave her name and held out her hand, which startled jae as he accidentally dropped bingsu, letting the dog land with a slight thud. "ah, bingsu, my bad! oh - uh - hi!" he stammered slightly, not expecting the sudden encounter. jae let his hand meet hers and he shook it, although a bit too enthusiastically. "i'm jaehyun, but please call me jae. jaehyun if you want to scold me, though!" he chuckled, hoping macie was more humorous than her pompous appearance.

bingsu however had become occupied with the cloud bird pokemon sat on the girl's head. the fire-type yapped and growled at the poor thing, probably frightful of this never-before-seen creature. jaehyun too had never seen such an exotic-looking pokemon, and hadn't noticed it was alive until he saw its face peek out from its fluffy wings. he attempted to silence his partner by shushing him and picking him back up so he wouldn't bother the other trainer, though it still gave soft growls from the arms of jaehyun. "sorry, bingsu isn't too familiar with other pokemon. i've never seen one like that - what it's called?" jae inquired. although having resided in both unova and johto, his family had sheltered him from all things pokemon, besides the wild ones he found outside his home. so to him, every non-johto native pokemon was a brand new species.

Ava sighed as she looked out of the airplane small window, she was really going to do this, why can't her parents understand her, she just wanted other life that they wanted to, is their problem if they don't managed to achieve their stupid dreams. With that stuck in her mind she tried to distract herself by looking around the plane, some people are talking, others are resting and there are many like her: bored. The girl would be lying if she had to hold herself from jumping of joy when the transport landed, finally she is free and she is going to have fun and go to meet new things and...
Oh, right, that is not the reason she came here.
Cursing under her breath, the brown-haired teen packed her belongs that are inside a backpack and started to look for that school that she is going to be stuck for a long time. You see she could try to slack off and get bad grades or something on purpose but it would be a 100% chance that her parents would realize that and poof her life that she wanted so much would be gone, they may be annoying but they can be smart sometimes, oh the joy.
After walking for a while she managed to find the place, it was so huge, her mouth was open for a while before she realized and quickly close it, so this was really going to happen it, huh.
Ava entered the lobby and leaned against the wall, her backpack landing on the ground with a small noise, not that she mattered anyway, it was a rare thing, even surprising for her but she just wanted silence for a while, to gather her thoughts, to think what she would, what if she had the skills to become a trainer?
Looking around with her eyes she scanned the are, some people are already here, maybe her class-mates? At a quick glance she noticed that there are Pokemon, now which one she don't paid too much attention to notice or care for now.

xxmacie raised an eyebrow at her new aquaintance while still smiling sweetly. it wasn't a totally fake smile now; she found his agitated behavior amusing. "well...i guess i'll call you jaehyun then. this is cirrus, my swablu. she's a flying type," she said nonchalantly, swatting cirrus off her head. she'd almost forgotten that cirrus had taken to using her hair as a nest. how embarrassing. cirrus chirped in indignation and, seeing the hostile growlithe in front of her, flew over and circled around his head instead. macie liked that jae was impressed by her harmless-looking pokemon. "cute, isn't she? she's been following me around since i was eleven." macie was surprised at the affectionate tone of which the words came out. "but she's pretty dumb," she added.
xxmacie did have a bit of affection for her swablu, despite constantly hating on her. years ago, when she had contracted the flu, cirrus had dipped her cottony wings in cold water and acted as a cooling pack on her forehead...although her wings were so big they just ended up smashing her face. macie had yelled at her then, but it was the thought that counted. even though macie yelled at the poor thing twenty-four seven, she always just cocked her head and smiled. which was frustrating because macie just wanted someone to fight with. the damn thing was just too calm and peaceful for its own good.

Johto was Kanto's good neighbor, something that Sora was grateful for- she chose Acelera for that very reason, really, as even if she wanted a break from her parents she wasn't about to travel leagues upon leagues just to be some pokemon trainer or whatever. Nor was she about to spend a huge pool of money for transport; why do that when you can spend it on food, and also borrow your mother's rather cantankerous Lapras for a quick trip?

Said Lapras broke Sora out of her reverie with a large splash of water to her face. Sora let out a shout, startling and nearly falling off the back of the water pokemon. "What th- What the heck?" She sputtered, barely seeing the Lapras' derisive snort and pointed nod through the water dripping down into her eyes. "O-oh. We're here. Uh- thanks, Lacey." She muttered sheepishly. Grabbing her only slightly damp duffel bag and slinging it over her shoulder, Sora jumped from the back of the large water pokemon onto the dock they had settled next to, answering the strange looks from those on the dock with a wide, oblivious grin. Teeny leapt cleanly out of the water and started twining her way around Sora's body. Ignoring the wet body slowly slithering around her body, Sora started ambling her way in the vague direction of Acelera- as close as she could get with a soggy map, that is.

It was probably due to Sora's wandering around for hours that rendered her one of the last to arrive at the Acelera. Positively throwing open the door -not batting an eyelash when one banged noisily against the wall, although Teeny let out an annoyed whine- Sora grinned at the small group gathered in the lobby. "Hello! How're we all today? Anyone know what we're supposed to do right now?" She chirped, voice just a touch shy of a shout. Teeny huffed, and turned her back on the small gathering, still slithering her way around Sora's body.

Ava attention was quickly grabbed by a voice, turning her head in the direction of the sound her eyes fixed on the new person that just arrived, and oh boy she was surprised by the sight, first thing first why she was wet? When she arrived there was not a single raindrop or a sign that was going to rain anytime soon, unless a long time passed but she doubted that option since it don't looked like an hour passed or something. Why did the just came wet and even more confusing to the teen was that they looked comfortable or at least don't minded it, well it would suck for them if they dont liked attention because if no one was going to ask what was going then please bring in the super hero noises because Ava was going to question it.

Making sure that her backpack was not going to get lost or stolen she made her way to the stranger, not before she straightened her hair to at least make herself presentable and oh, wait did the accessory just moved?

Oh wait, that was a Pokemon that was slithering around the silver-white haired stranger, one more thing to question but sincerely that was the last thing that she was worried about now, you see what if the teacher or someone responsible gets angry at everyone just because someone came in wet and they got punished, Ava would not tolerate this, not because she was an exemplar student or something like that is just because she was exhausted.

''Excuse me? Why are you wet?'' Ava asked, or better questioned the other person, the tone of her voice was more an annoyed one rather than an angry one, with one hand on her hips she waited for an answer, sometimes glancing at the Pokemon, Dratini was the name?

a swablu, huh? it didn't seem to be too fond of bingsu either, jaehyun noted, chuckling as he watched bingsu snap at the pokemon fluttering above him. "cirrus, that's a cute name! this is bingsu, but i just started raising him myself. he's a bit of a brat, as you can tell." roughly, though teasingly, he tousled the fur of bingsu's forehead, causing a sharp yap of annoyance from the puppy pokemon. at least he had finally stopped growling at poor cirrus - jae was glad the swablu was unfazed by bingsu's behavior.

"so, what brings you do the academy?" jaehyun inquired. he hoped he wasn't the only one with inexperience in the field - after all that was the entire purpose of the school. he wasn't one to make assumptions on one's appearance, but jae was surprised by macie's kindness, despite his initial viewing of her being a bit self-centered. her warm expressions made him feel comfortable in this new environment, and he was glad to have a pleasant first encounter with one of his peers. even though he didn't outwardly express it, the whole ordeal of moving to a new city, saying goodbye to his family and friends, being in a community full of strangers did frighten him. macie, however, didn't exhibit any of that. jaehyun expected her to be a top-class pokemon expert; after all, her partner swablu was much more well-behaved that jae's growlithe. someday he'd be as talented as her, and bingsu would be able to follow jae's commands without ignoring him completely.

You know, he wasn't really expecting to talk to anyone on his first day here, but lo and behold, he was suddenly approached by uh...short and scraggly here. Rikimaru, they called themselves. Oh no, they were going in for a handshake. He cautiously looked down at their outstretched hand, before slowly taking it in his own. "..Lune. Lune Labossiere," he replied while shaking their hand. Babey shifted her weight on his shoulder, he realized suddenly. He turned in time to watch his partner jump down to cheerfully greet Rikimaru's electric type friend. "Fairy, fairy!" She chirped, while jumping from foot to foot in a happy dance. "Ah yeah...this is Babey, my Clefairy."

Rikimaru's Jolteon...had a dark mustard color to its coat that he realized was a little unusual. He knew it was a Jolteon simply because his father had owned one, and its fur was a much lighter shade of yellow. Well, it wasn't too strange, Lune thought to himself while scratching the back of his neck. He's read an article about regional variants in pokémon...maybe this was just one instance. Lune was not going to go out of his way to ask Rikimaru for confirmation though, as much as he wanted to know more. That was not how he rolled when meeting someone new. "Yeah, I'm a new student too. Feels weird being back in school, you know?" Babey was having a grand time floating around the Jolteon. Apparently, Clefairys stored moonlight in their wings to fly. He's seen her done It numerous of times whenever the night bore a full moon. Clefairys are rare pokémon only ever encountered in mountainous regions. Even then, it was rare for them to appear before humans.

Lune hatched her from a precious egg his father came home with one day. She's his prized friend, and very much so, his baby.

"Did you find your dorm room, by any chance."

Rikimaru cringed internally as they noted Lune's less-than-pleased reaction. Oh no, they did it again. No matter where they go or how polite they try to be they can never seem to act appropriately. They acted way too familiarly. Well, hopefully they could mend the situation... or bail. Probably bail. Yep- finish their introductions and bow out.
Riki mentally stored the words "Lune Labossiere" into their brain as the boy introduced himself so they wouldn't forget. With a nod, they kept their voice even and nodded. "Nice to meet you-"
They suddenly gasped, surprised, as his Clefairy jumped from his shoulders and danced around Tesla. Rikimaru immediately got distracted and smiled fondly. "Aww, she's really cute! I live by Mt. Moon but I've never seen a Clefairy so close before. Aw, I love her, she's so sweet."
Tesla yapped playfully and bowed down on her front legs. The electric-type Pokémon jumped a few times to reach the floating Clefairy. She was having a grand time, that much was obvious. And the Clefairy -Babey- was endearingly kind. Her pink fur looked so soft and fluffy, but was even puffier due to the static emanating from Tesla. The Jolteon tried to balance on her hind legs for a moment as she tried to bap at Babey with a paw.
Rikimaru was absolutely taken by the two happy Pokémon, adoring their excitement. They couldn't contain the adoring coo that came from them as they reflexively cupped their hands over their beaming smile and giggled nonsensically. The playing Pokémon were just so sickeningly cute, they couldn't contain themself. Lune spoke again, startling Rikimaru, who had forgotten for a moment that they had been in a conversation. With dismay that they would not be able to bail out of this interaction, they looked back to Lune, their face somehow even paler than usual. "Oh, sorry. This is Tesla. D-don't worry; she's friendly. And, uh, yeah, I did." Ah, no, they were talking too fast; they had to slow down. Rikimaru gestured over their shoulder to one of the faculty members on standby at a table and forced themself to talk at a normal pace despite their embarrassment. "Just talk to them and they'll get you set up. We have a welcoming ceremony in a few hours, b-but I'm not, uh, not really sure where that's going to be. I haven't been here all that long. Sorry." Rikimaru kept their eyes glued to the playing Pokemon, knowing that they were looking and acting completely foolish at the moment. This school was going to be harder than they thought. At this rate they might just become a recluse in their dorm.

Sora turned her attention to a gal with long, brunette hair and bright green eyes, expression dropping into near comical seriousness as she shuffled a little closer to the teen, gaze flicking about.

"Between you and me... I'm an escaped convict; had to take the sewers to get out. There was no other way." She stared at Ava for a beat, before letting out a bellowing laugh. "Hah, just kidding! My mom's Lapras doused me when I wouldn't get off of her. Also Teeny here isn't helpin- can you- hey okay, not there you- you're gonna stretch out my shirt." Sora plunged a hand into her soggy t-shirt, pulling out a wriggling and audibly protesting dratini through her shirt collar, seemingly oblivious to the pokemon's annoyance as she bundled the small creature in her arms. "Who's a wet little brat? Who is??? Yes you are!" She cooed, fishing a damp treat out of some pocket and feeding it to the small pokemon, who seemed appeased for the moment and settled around Sora's neck like a living scarf, staring at Ava with clear disgust.

"But yeah, uh, came here by water so it was bound to happen, I guess. I don't think it's too bad?" Sora gave her silvery locks an experimental shake, letting loose a small spray of water droplets. "Oop- sorry about that. Anyways- what brings you here? Where's your pokemon?" Sora continued, raking a hand through her hair as she surveyed Ava's surroundings for a pokemon, or maybe a pokeball.

When Ava heard the first answer she became very confused and anyone could see that confusion on her face, sure that would extremely unlikely but now these days everything could happen even the impossible.

When the loud laugh reached her and realizing that this was a lie she gave a nervous chuckle, okay then? It seems like the other girl had a different humour compared to normal people, actually who is normal these days? She stared for a few seconds as the two friends playing with each-other for a moment, now to think about she never understood why people just let their Pokemon climb on them, sure some are clean,quiet and don't move a muscle but what about the ones that are slimy or heavy? Maybe their bonds are strong to the point that it doesn't matter anymore? Well the Dratini doesn't like something that makes liquid appear if they move.

She became more confused when the Pokemon just looked at her with that emotion, why? She dont treated the trainer badly or insulted anyone, maybe they are protective of their trainer or something like that.


"Well, it's a long story that involves my parents and what I want to do in the future'' Ava replied with a sigh ''And I don't have a Pokemon'' she continued before she gave the stranger a quick small smile before extending her hand 'My name is Ava Blumenthal, what is yours?''
