xxxxxxxxThe feeling of wind flowing through his fur was always
able to send excitement racing through Jesse's body. It
just always felt free, and relaxed. That's why he loved the
day he became a kappa. Now, as long as he brought the
others back food, he could run free whenever he wanted.
xxxxxxxxThe fox slowed his pace, before coming to a complete stop.
Panting heavily to catch his breath, Jesse let his ears
wander, and explore what was around him. He could hear
others from the pack speaking, but he didnt dare focus
on it. He eventually trained his ears towards more prey
like sounds. He closed his eyes, and let the sounds of
the forest over run his mind, quickly sifting through
even the smallest rustles along the underbrush.
xxxxxxxxThere! Jesse eyes shot open, and he quickly turned to
the east, stalking off to follow where he now trained
his ears. Slowly he came closer to the sound, until he
found a deer laying beneath a bush. Jesse got closer,
and was practically on top of it before his ears caught
another sound with the doe. As the deer shifted, Jesse
caught sight of a small fawn laying behind the mother,
its eyes shut in a slumber. Jesse froze, unsure of what
to do. However before he could react, the doe spotted
him, and let out a call, and running, waking the fawn
and sending it into a panic. Guilt flooded Jesse, and he
knew no matter how easy of a kill the fawn would be,
he couldn't, no, he wouldn't lay a finger on it.
xxxxxxxxSighing in defeat, Jesse slowly walked back to the camp,
deciding he can just grab some rabbits or something along
the way back home.
