will walked out of the pack cabin. they were currently in colorado, living in what many would call the "middle of nowhere." though they were actually less than a days hike from a small, mountain town, it seemed as though they were lightyears from the rest of the world. he took a deep breath and looked back at the building. he merely wanted what was best for family, for the pack. colorado may not have been his best choice yet, but at least they were safe for now. all he needed was their safety and happiness. he began to walk into the woods around him, he just needed a moment of quiet. he loved his family deeply, but he also knew his limits. he needed to breathe every once and a while. after he was out of sight of the cabin, he shifted effortlessly into his wolf form. he began to run, feeling the wind ruffle through his pelt. the brute took in all the scents surrounding him, letting his instincts lead him to a peaceful spot. once he reached a spot on the mountainside where he was satisfied, will sat down on a large boulder, looking out over the woods, the smoke from the cabin barely visible over the trees. he flinched at the sudden smell of another creature nearby.

name: jennifer
age: twenty-four
rank: zeta
shift: lioness
love: fond of sasha

blue eyes narrowed at his comment. yes it was ridiculous that she had gotten so distracted, but she would not have sasha mock her for it. not today.
"what was distracting me is none of your business, aleksandr" she teased in a low voice, purposely using his full name and drawing out every syllable. then for a little extra effect she added, ”and you're not as noticeable as you think you are". it was all joking of course, but that was one of the many ways they danced around their attraction to each other. another was movement. for instance, jj was well aware of the lion's preening, as well as gaze fixated on her. when she spoke, she moved gracefully in a circle around the male, almost as if he was her prey.
the way his feline eyes trailed up and down her physic made her blush, and if she weren't in her lioness form, the pink would have been painfully obvious. she almost hated herself for enjoying all this new attention, but sasha stirred up feelings inside her that she never thought she would experience again. a smile began to creep up her face at that thought.
jennifer chuckled as the eta flopped to his side and began to paw at her leg. she shook her head at the childish behavior but her laugh gave her away. when sasha rolled on his back, exposing his underbelly to the lioness, her blush only grew. she couldn't help but look at the strong yet vunerable form beneath her, not oblivious to the rarity of the sight. she was only taken out of her trance by the sound of his voice. laying down next to him on her stomach, she considered the proposition in front of her.
"hmmm" the zeta hummed softly to herself, closing her eyes. "I suppose that might be a good idea. or..." she quickly reopened her eyes, remembering a spot she had discovered on a run a few days back. it was a bank by the river, a ways upstream from the lake. the river itself wasn't exactly unknown, but there probably weren't any pack members there now, as the lake was closer and bigger. she preferred the stream's water, though. it was runoff from the mountain, cool and refreshing. really though, it was just an excuse to get a few more minutes alone with aleksandr.
"we could go to the river instead," she suggested, finally finishing her sentence.

it wasn't uncommon to find zoe sitting up on the roof. well it wasn't uncommon for zoe to be sitting on the roof; it was quite uncommon for anyone to find her. she did a good job of making sure of that.
there were a lot of things about the pack that she had learned to respect and see the value in. the kinship and safety in numbers were at the top of her list. but boy could they be annoying. there were a few people in the pack she could stand and a couple she actually enjoyed, but most of them just got on her nerves. everywhere she went someone wanted to talk or interact. it was like a never-ending line of people wanting something from her.
so, more often then not, the lambda found herself sitting on the roof or in a tree, twirling a blade in her hands and observing her surroundings.

dan was out and about, taking a walk by the lake. he had been up and at it for hours. it was common practice for him to patrol the area in the early morning. he had a sudden onset of hunger and his stomach let out a very unpleasant noise, not amused by the lack of food it had received today. so, the man began to make his way back towards the cabin.
his feet felt heavy, so he decided to remove the boots he was wearing and walk barefoot instead. he loved the feeling of the ground under his feet and the grass between his toes. the nu inhaled deeply as he made his way into the clearing near their newfound home, taking in the sweet smells of the morning one last time.

name: christian
age: twenty-six
rank: pi
shift: meerkat
love: single

chris hesitantly rolled out of bed, attempting not to wake any of the other men in his room. he slipped on a track suit and exited the room, immediately heading for the door. for the time of day, he had quite a bit of energy to work off, so he decided to make his way down to the lake for an late morning swim.
christian glanced around before shifting into his meerkat form and scurrying towards the body of water. once there, he jumped in and was instantly refreshed.
after swimming for a short while, the pi got out of the lake and made his way over to the dock, curling up into a ball absorbing the sunlight on his fur. he also turned on his enhanced hearing and listened for anything interesting happening nearby. compulsive eavesdropping wasn't his best quality, but he really couldn't help himself.

name: angelica
age: twenty-three
rank: sigma
shift: elephant
love: single
tags: open
angelica was singing a song to herself as she made her way through the pack cabin and out the back door. she had originally considered looking for milana. that was her job after all. but she had opted to put that off, at least until later today. for now, she was just going to relax. the not-so-natural blonde sat underneath a tree and glanced up at the sky. the air was not so different from that of her first day of freedom. her mind drifted to that memory, her identic mind making every detail unforgettable. she was only pulled from her thought by movement our of the corner of her eye. she spotted a fellow pack member and and instantly smiled, waving at them.

name: harper
age: twenty-one
rank: tau
shift: owl
love: single
tags: open
harper was scouting, as usual. it appeared to others as her job, but she loved it. currently in her owl form, as it gave her a quicker travel speed, she was two miles north of the cabin. the avian landed on a tree branch, looking around. she had been full circle three times already today and it was fairly early. so far, no threats had been evident but that didn't stop the tau from worrying. harper always felt it was her fault when someone in the pack got hurt. after all, it was her job to scout out potential danger. she looked around again and sighed, before flapping her black and brown wings and taking off again. moving back towards the cabin. before she had gone very far, she spotted movement on the ground. making her way downward, she approached the figure.

name: melanie
age: seventeen
rank: omega
shift: sea turtle
love: single

melanie was still asleep, per usual. it wasn't like the girl to get up in a timely matter. it actually wasn't like her to get up in any matter at all, other than rolling out of bed. she liked the comfort that sleep brought.
usually.
unfortunately, this was not a particularly restful sleep. she was sweating and breathing heavily as a nightmare took over her mind. images flashed behind her eyelids causing her to toss and turn uncontrollably.

jack nodded his head up and down to the beat of the music as he walked around the living room. the young boy moved into the kitchen, opening and closing the fridge twice before finally deciding what he wanted. he pulled out a carton of eggs and cracked five into a pan. shifters were always hungry. something about changing forms really took it out of a person. he sang along, admittedly poorly, to the beatles song that was playing. sure, he sometimes wished that he could listen to popular music, but he wasn't one to complain. once his scrambled eggs were done, he scraped them onto a plate. leaving his used cooking utensils out and about, jack meandered back into the living room, taking huge bites of egg along the way.

name: adeline
age: six
rank: child
shift: brown fox

addy had been up for hours, wandering aimlessly about the cabin. she had recently been scolded by selene for climbing a tree and getting herself stuck on one of the higher branches, so she was remaining inside the wooden walls for fear of getting herself in trouble again.
however, that fear was already staring to wear into boredom. it was only a matter of time before the six year old got herself into some sort of shenanigans again. for now, though, she sat with a rubber bouncy ball she had found at their last pit stop and bounced it incessantly against a wall. whoever was on the other side wouldn’t be happy, but that wasn’t adeline’s problem.

_____Altona rested in the branches of an oak tree peacefully, quite a ways off from the cabin. She had slept in the woods the night before, as she was prone to do. She turned her head upwards to look at the sun, which had long since cleared the horizon. She observed the scenery from her perch, the beauty of the wilderness soothing her heart as it always did. As she lay, splayed out on the branch, basking in the streams of warm sunlight that filtered through the trees, she was the picture of relaxation.
_____The leopardess' golden eyes gleamed faintly as she aimiably glimpsed her future for today for the third time that morning. Last year, she would have been struck with fear at the image of a massive wolf sprinting towards her temporary bed for the night, ears and eyes alert and jaws flashing between pants every few strides. Now, though, she simply rolled back onto her stomach and stood, stretching as she searched further. If she did as she had initially planned, and scooted to get out of his way, it seemed as though she'd end up interacting with one of the new kids— a certain Avianna. She wasn't particularly looking forward to that, so she decided to stay in her treetop. Apparently that would lead to a casual conversation with her leader. Well, that was certainly preferred to the rambunctious young Upsilon, so she settled into a more alert position on her branch.
_____She watched as the wolf entered the small clearing below her and perched himself on a boulder by the mountain stream. She felt a bit guilty, watching him from above, but she'd feel worse interrupting his time of reflection. She had already seen the proper time for her to enter his presence, anyway. She'd wait for him to sense her, rather than catch him unawares. When his nose twitched as the wind changed direction and carried her scent with it, she stood up. "Just me." She called down, her alto tones low and calming. "I'm up here." She added, more for courtesy's sake than actually informing him, and descended gracefully from her perch to get within his mind reading range. "I'm sorry, I alarmed you." She added. It was statements like that which made her a bit odd— she already knew if she had startled someone, what they had been doing before she arrived and what they would do after. It was hard to keep secrets around her. She didn't feel quite so guilty about it around Will, though. You better not be snooping. She thought with the faintest of smiles. It had taken her a long time to adjust to pack life, but even longer to adjust to Will. She had hated that he could see her thoughts. She felt as thought she was under a dictatorship, and in her first months with the pack, she avoided him like the plague, both out of wanting to hide her usual thoughts but also to hide her dislike of him. She had overcome the aversion eventually, though, mostly because she had taught herself to focus on certain unimportant objects enough to (usually) make a wall in her mind to prevent his presence.

_____Avianna was bored with a capital B. She was circling high, high in the sky, high enough to have seen William, Daniel, and Harper depart, as well as Zoe sneak up onto the roof. She absent-mindedly considered pranking Christian and swooping down to scoop him up, but quickly discarded the idea. She might get in trouble, and even if she didn't, Christian would probably hear her coming long before he reached him. Too bad there aren't any normal meerkats. She thought with a disappointed sigh. She summoned a draft of wind so she could take a break from flapping and found her eyes returning to Zoe's form. She wondered if Zoe even knew her name. She thought the snake-girl was cool enough— she was scrappy, but Avi liked that. She was definitely attractive, even if she took herself a little too seriously sometimes, but the upsilon wasn't even sure she liked girls. Doesn't seem like the hook-up type anyway. She decided with a bit of an internal sigh. After a few more aimless, boring circles, she gave in. At least she's someone to talk to. The white falcon reasoned as she tilted forward into a dive. Honestly, Avi, there's more to people than hook-up potential. She scolded herself with amusement, seeming very nonchalant despite hitting upwards of 100mph during her headlong dive.
_____As she grew closer to the rooftop, she let out an earsplitting cry of warning, hoping to startle the rough-and-tumble lambda just a bit. Finally, she leaned back and extended her wings with a clap using her powers to go from breakneck speed to a near stop far faster than what should have been possible. As she slowed a bit under a dozen feet above the roof, she began to shift back into human form, finishing the whole, overdramatic display by landing with a tiny hop on the roof in front of Zoe, a grin on her face and her hair blowing in the breeze.
"Hi!" She chirped cheerily, plopping herself down cross-legged in front of the brunette.

name: william
age: thirty-two
rank: alpha
shift: grey wolf
love: single
tags: altona
the alpha’s ears twitched at the familiar voice, attempting to discern the direction from which it emanated. before he had time to find the source of the the words, however, the voice clarified its location. glancing up at a nearby tree branch, william immediately recognized the distinctive pelt of one of his kappas. the ruffled fur on his back lost its tension as he became more at ease with his surroundings.
”good morning, altona,” he responded with a courteous nod of his head. as the leopardess made her way down from what seemed to be a comfortable resting place, the grey wolf stood and walked slowly to the stream for a drink. he let out a soft chuckle at her apology.
of course, alta was sorry to have disturbed him, but not sorry enough to have preemptively changed her path. will wasn’t fully knowledgeable on the ins and outs of all her capabilities, but he did know they were powerful. when he stepped within range of his abilities, however, he had to focus on his own thoughts.
many of the pack members found it hard to believe, but their alpha rarely used his powers. it seemed to him an invasion of privacy and a breach of trust to be constantly living in other people’s minds. not to mention, it didn’t give him much peace. he only used his gift when he felt necessary, and now certainly wasn’t one of those times. altona had garnered a great deal of respect and trust from will over time, and though he could tell he wasn’t always her favorite, he knew she was loyal to the pack. not to mention, one of the most stilled huntresses. it really was not surprise that she was so good at her job.
the canine lowered his head to the cool water and began to lap it up slowly. after a few moments, he raised his head and chanced a glance over at his feline companion. ”is today a good day for a hunt?” questioned william carefully. the weather and winds seemed good and he knew the lambdas would be ready, but alta had foresight into the possibility of success that none of the rest had, and he knew that she would have valuable insight on the day ahead.

name: zoe

zoe could sense someone’s eyes on her. she had always been very good at that. it had been extremely helpful in her line of work, and although she rarely needed the skill nowadays, it was times like these when she was glad she had the warning.
a screech from above told her from where the glare was coming. she instinctively stopped twirling the blade in her had and gripped onto it tightly by the hilt. the lambda’s whole body was tense as she looked up to identify which annoying pack member would be getting on her nerves today. squinting her eyes, she could just make out the falcon’s form heading towards her. ‘at least it isn’t harper again,’ she thought to herself with a huff. the tau was insatiable.
the rest of the scene was quite a sight to behold. what should have been a mess of wings and limbs was actually fairly graceful, and, while z would likely never admit it, impressive. the lambda’s eyes watched as the younger girl finished her performance and sat directly in front of her. resuming the twirl of her blade, zoe took a moment to asses the petite blonde. in her time with the pack, she had definitely taken notice to the upsilon once or twice. what can she say, she has a thing for the sweet ones.
with a puff of air, the brunette blew a piece of hair out of her face and leaned back on her elbows, continuing to twirl the small blade in her right hand. “hello, tweety,” she quipped, tilting her head to the side and letting a smirk play on her lips.

_____The kappa twitched an ear at his chuckle, confused for a moment before her mind caught up to his. She didn't feel too guilty, though, as he didn't seem upset. Her faint smile went from one of grudging bemusement to faint relief as she saw no reaction to her inner thought. He was staying out of her head— she was grateful for that. She had indeed grown to respect her leader a great deal throughout her time in the pack. As part of her daily routine, she'd check in every once in a while on the future of her packmates if they weren't at the base. She knew it was an invasion of privacy, and she never checked on duos for fear of catching a private moment, but Will tended to go off on his own a lot, and while she'd never be privvy to his thoughts, she often saw him fretting over the safety of those under his care. Those accidental sightings, more than anything, were what had initially warmed her heart to him enough to begin to let her vendetta rest. Now, he was quite high on her list of packmates, though, she was hesitant to call him a friend simply for fear of overstepping her boundaries. The leopardess settled into a sitting position, absent-mindedly lowering her head to clean her paw before hesitating and sitting straight again. She knew it was normal to adapt certain characteristics of the animal you phased into while shifted— she tried to convince herself it was normal, but she still felt self-concious behaving like an animal, especially in the presence of someone who could see her vulnerability, even if it seemed as though he was choosing not to look.
_____She shoved the thoughts from her mind rather forcibly as he looked at her again, and, grateful for the distraction, began her search. Her eyes glowed dimly as she looked forward, and for once, she felt grateful to not be alone. She generally avoided searching while on the ground, as she was entirely unaware of her surroundings while using her gift. Searching the western edge of the forest, by the river, she saw minor success, but pushed onward, hoping for better luck elsewhere. The south was no good— while it was still morning, they would have had to leave a few hours ago to get around the lake and back before dark. When she checked the north, however, she was greeted with the sight of Chance's setter form carried on her back, his left shoulder drenched in blood, a dead bear on the ground behind them as Jesse raced for the cottage to get help. Her lip curled instinctively as she wrenched herself away from that vision and looked to the east. That sight was much less disturbing. She pulled herself back to the present with a slight shake of her head, quickly lowering her hackles when she realized they had been raised. "The east is our best choice, in the plains. A few hares and two deer." That was all they'd be able to carry with their current group— Jesse and Zoe could help bring down big prey as well as the next hunter, but they weren't big enough to carry it back. Her gaze grew serious as she continued. "We can't stray north, though."
_____She supressed a shudder at the memory of her sight. While she was far more used to it now than when she first changed, she still hated seeing her pack members, especially her teammates, in pain. Her power helped them to avoid plenty of otherwise unforeseen dangers, but it had surprised even her how frequently a dangerous path could be taken. She had begun to think everyone around her was blessed with inconceivable luck to simply have survived this long, let alone escape injury most of the time.

_____Avi's eyes sparkled humorously at the nickname, tilting her head in a mirror action to the other girl in a movement that could have been subconscious or playfully teasing. "Fork-tongue." She returned, her smile widening. She was always eager to talk to new people, and every ounce of her excitement was tangible in her expressive green gaze, practically fizzing with energy and curiosity. "So, this is where you disappear to all the time?" She questioned, looking around the roof of the cabin. It was a good place to sunbathe, she figured, if you liked that sort of thing. She much preferred swimming to sunbathing, though— she burnt easily, and laying down seemed like a waste of time when the sun was out. Regardless, call it intuition, but she had a feeling Zoe wasn't up here to catch some rays.
_____Feeling herself getting a bit warm, she summoned a faint breeze to cool them down, the forefinger of the hand bracing her upright flicking subtly to conjour it. She was able to use her power without movement of her hands, but it required far more concentration and was overall less reliable. Perhaps that would change as she practiced more, but for now, she let herself take a break so she wouldn't need to break eye contact.

Scott Collins || 23 years || Spotted Hyena || Epsilon || Outside Cabin || Tagged: Open
The hyena could be found laying peacefully in the shade of a tree next to the cabin. As usual, Scott had actually been there all night, keeping watch. He rested his head on his paws after yawning. Sure, the nu could take turns keeping watch during the twilight hours, but in his mind, it was better for just one guardian to be tired instead of several. The nu all did their jobs during the day, giving him chances to nap. As the sun rose, he watched the rest of the pack begin to wake up and start their days. He noticed a few leave the cabin, but Scott remained silent. It was his job to look after his packmates, but he was not a babysitter. Most of the shifters were plenty capable of protecting themselves. He felt he liked this spot in the mountains that Will had found. Far enough away from the nearest town that they wouldn't attract attention, but close enough to it that they could get there within a day if they needed anything. To him, it was perfect, but he knew the pack never stayed anywhere too long. He wondered just how long they'd be here. With things calm and quiet, for the most part, Scott decided to rest his eyes for a moment, but his ears remained open in case he was needed.

percy had decided to keep watch through the night. while he enjoyed the house his alpha had found, he couldn't help to be wary- and, if you asked him, while it provided shelter, the cabin was hardly a home. as he opened his nostrils to inhale the forest air, he kept an eye, and his nose, on his surroundings. the smell of damp, slowly rotting wood and moss from the land around and the distant scents of his packmates. time to head back. he thought as he watched the sunlight stream through the sickly-yellow trees- a result of this form's less advanced eyesight. raising his body from the water, he turned to clean off his forepaws in the pond and set off at a leisurely waddle to get back to the cabin- he'd go back to being a human when he was able to have a shower.

making his way into the clearing, he turned his head to see the familiar hyena lurking under a tree- a golden opportunity. percy crept up from downwind, keeping his claws out in order for him to not fall and wake scott. once he was close enough, he darted forwards, taking the hyena's shaggy tail in his bill and giving it a hard tug before beginning to scamper off, rather ungracefully.

ANDROMEDA
i. andy ii. 28 iii. female iv. theta v. amur tiger vi. organic man. vii. single

─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

sleep was something andy has grown use to not having, her years mothering the pack leaving little time for it. she often goes to bed late after staying up cleaning and preparing for the morning and then gets up early to get started for the day. the theta shares a room with her young daughter with a toddler bed against one wall and a queen sized against the other, but it's quite rare for eva to sleep in her own bed preferring her mother's. andy was up and folding laundry on her bed while evangeline slept, different piles neatly stacked before she put them in their respective hampers. though the adults could easily do their own laundry, andy prefers to do it herself unless asked otherwise, reducing the risk of the washer breaking by poor use. once finished, andy leaves the baskets lined up by the bed and gently wakes eva for a bath. the toddler had a wild day yesterday and had been out cold before it was time for her usual bath so she needed one in the morning instead. after the bath, andy dresses the child and herself before heading downstairs. she leaves her bedroom door open for others to get their laundry, not caring about being territorial of the room like others tend to be. in the kitchen, andy sighs at the sight of the mess she was sure came from one of the youngsters, she'll have to give them a talking to about cleaning up after themselves. andy sets evangeline into her highchair and gives her some breakfast of her favorite oatmeal before setting about cleaning and starting breakfast for everyone like she always does.

ALEKSANDR
i. sasha ii. 30 iii. male iv. eta v. african lion vi. ergokinesis vii. single

─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

the male gives a snort of a laugh when the zeta tries to tease him with his full name. though he hates it when people use his first name, sasha really likes it when jennifer does. she the only one allowed to use it. the lion gives a playful growl as she jokes about him not being noticeable, batting at her with a soft paw. he watches her as she moves to circle around him, rolling to sit up in a lounging position instead of his back. the look upon her face excites him and makes him eager for a bout of playful wrestling. he flops back over when she lays down next to him, rumbling a soft growl since he can't purr. it's always nice when they are so close. when she speaks, sasha perks up and listens intently like he always does, though more so now since she was agreeing to an idea of his. the male hums softly as she suggests the river instead of the lake. what a good idea, less pack members would be at the river since it's farther away and small. the lake was the most used. "the river sounds perfect," he agrees, rolling back to his feet and stretching before standing. "shall we get going then? before someone else gets the same idea and takes our spot." text "text" text

seated on one of the couches positioned in the living room of the pack house, cailen sat on the edge of the cushion as she finished the last of her morning tea. the cabin was spacious enough to comfortably house the large group of shifters who had quickly become family. she supposed there was something about where their existence derived from that did something to help them bond. though, that by all means didn't mean that everyone got along. she had often had to intervene in numerous disputes and fights between pack mates, personalities and viewpoints often clashed with others, but that was to be expected when such a large group was formed. the dark haired beta tilted her head back and downed the last of her beverage before she rose and headed towards the kitchen to dispose of her mug. as she extended her arm out, her forearm seemed to come to life with a burning pain that stemmed from the crook of her elbow all the way to the tips of her fingers on her right hand. the mug fell from her hand to the counter with a loud crash, a chip flying from the cup onto the granite countertop. cailen grit her teeth and her left hand gripped her arm just above the elbow, forced to wait the pain out. this wasn't the first time this had occurred. ever since her escape from the lab, she'd been having these sharp pains that burned like hell and she'd no clue how to stop them or if it was even possible to. during her time in the lab, she had undergone extensive experiments to try and mould the ability that she now possessed, shadow manipulation, to her shifter form. she was the first shifter to successfully possess the ability to manipulate the darkness, something the scientists had found would make her both an asset and a weapon all in one. cailen closed her eyes tightly, a frown creasing her brows as she pushed away the nightmares that came with any mention of the lab and shakily felt her body relax as the pain ebbed away, leaving her leant over the counter clutching her forearm with the chipped mug laying a couple inches from her on the counter.

cold water cascaded from the mouth of the shower head and washed over kinsley's fair skin, washing away the grime that she'd picked up from her morning run. though she was rather small in her shifter form, a pine marten after all and no larger than a house cat, she had a bountiful amount of energy that she needed to constantly blow off in a healthy, non-destructive way. so daily runs often helped keep the energetic pulse at bay. her shower was short and much needed, refreshing and brightening the lambda to the point where she was ready for another run. kinsley quickly dried off and dressed, pulling on a pair of old cutoff shorts and a chocolate brown tank top with a v-neck scoop, before she jogged down the stairs towards the kitchen that her stomach had been yearning for since early that morning. stepping through the entryway to the room, she noticed several of her pack mates gathered there, and offered a small smile in greeting before grabbing a bowl of cereal and heading out to the back porch where she fell onto the swing to have at her morning meal. kins was more on the solitary side than the social when it came to that spectrum, and often kept to herself when others didn't approach her themselves for her company. though that's not to say she never initiated any sort of conversation or interaction; she loved doing that, though her docile and introverted stature often made that part difficult.

the sun was hot overhead and was merciless on the life below, including jackal who was crouched down beside a large motorcycle with a rag draped over his bare shoulder and a wrench in one hand. the old harley davidson that he'd graciously borrowed from a biker at a gas station many miles from the house, had consumed most of his spare time since arriving at the cabin. though jackal hadn't the first clue about bikes and was mostly fiddling around with it out of curiosity and boredom. he didn't actually think he'd be able to get it up and running again after it broke down shortly after bringing him this far. clanking of metal and bolts filled the yard in front of the garage where he'd been working for a few hours, his discarded and greasy shirt hanging off the handlebars of the motorcycle when the heat got to be to much for the amount of clothing he'd had on. I'll probably have to jump in the lake after this he thought to himself as he worked the wrench around a bolt to see what the outcome of removing it would be. he briefly wondered whether his sister has returned yet from her morning run, he'd seen her leave early that morning when he was heading downstairs for his cup of tea, though it could have been he was too immersed in his work to have noticed her return.

Scott Collins || 23 years || Spotted Hyena || Epsilon || Outside Cabin || Tagged: Percy
Despite the noise coming from around the cabin, Scott's rest was peaceful, for the most part. Every so often his ears twiched, but aside from that it would have appeared he was out cold. However, because of all the noise, he didn't sense the shifter sneaking up on him who eventually grabbed and pulled his tail. Scott jolted awake with a yelp, purely out of surprise, and started to growl as he sat up and spun to face whoever woke him up, but relaxed when he saw the culprit. Percy. The platypus was trying hard to waddle away, but Scott caught up to him easily and placed a paw on his furry beaver-like tail with just enough pressure to stop him. He would never hurt one of his packmates, even if they did startle him awake. "Good morning Percy. I see you are up to your normal antics already. You know, I'd be careful pulling off that stunt on some of the other shifters. Not all of them are as...understanding as I am. Eventually you're going to get hurt." he warned before lifting his paw and releasing the playtpus. "You were out all night again. Spend the night at the lake?"he asked curiously. Percy wasn't the only one who slept away from the cabin, but it was Scott's job to protect the pack so he liked to know where they were in case he needed them.

Ajax “Jax” Soltren ⧫ Zeta ⧫ 29 ⧫ Male ⧫ Heterosexual ⧫ Jaguar ⧫ Mind Control

_____Ajax woke from his slumber on his back, right hand tucked underneath his head and his left arm draped over his stomach. The lean zeta remained in this position for a time, staring up at the ceiling blankly. He spent most mornings this way, usually for about half-hour, hardly contemplating anything. He'd half-phase, sometimes, to feel the pain of his old scar stretching and morphing to his new skin, only to reverse the change right as his hands began to morph into paws. He enjoyed the practice, as he liked the power of being in total control of his shift, all the way through.
_____After hovering in the awkward stage of fur beginning to prick from his skin, his concentration broke, his mind growing tired of the exhausting exercise, and he allowed his body to relax into his human form. He rolled to his side and swung his legs over the edge of the bed, standing quite gracefully for someone who had just risen. Then again, Ajax hardly did anything clumsy. He moved smoothly, with a subtle sort of power in his limbs— a thing of irony, considering he hardly ever made anything else about his presence subtle in the slightest.
_____He strode into the kitchen with his usual slightly-bored, semi-scornful resting expression with nary a glance to Cailen, instead turning directly to the cupboard for a glass and then the fridge for the orange juice. As he set his cache down on the island in the center of the kitchen, his back facing the other presence in the room, a resonating crash sounded from near the sink. He turned to look at the beta with narrowed eyes, his blue gaze piercing the back of her head. "You dropped something." His voice rumbled low in his throat, and he leaned around her with little regard for personal space to pick up her mug and inspect it before placing it with exaggerated care into the sink. He felt annoyed at her intrusion on his quiet morning, but honestly, he was not one for a quiet anything, and he was mostly annoyed because he felt like being annoyed and she had given him the perfect excuse.
