the apocalypse happened.
it started out as scientists who
thought that they had discovered
a cure-all vaccine. it seemed to
point to the end for all diseases,
even cancer and alzheimers. of
course an antibiotic like that was
simply too good to be true, but
at first it was working. test
subjects that were in stage four of
various cancers saw immense
improvement after receiving it,
so much so that doctors believed
that they might even wind up being
cancer free! then things took a turn
for the worse. those that were
treated began acting abnormally,
almost animalistic. they went mad,
began attacking those around them,
and it happened so quickly no one
was able to stop the madness from
spreading... society fell into chaos.

now, seven years later, there is
nothing left. those that managed to
survive have done so in hiding, by
scavenging what food they can, or
hunting. they have gathered in
groups to try and stay alive.

as a side note, please try to be as active as you can - I realize
that everyone has lives outside of cs, but please do not join if you
are going to only post once, and then never respond to the roleplay
ever again. all roleplays die, but I would like for this one to last a
relatively long while. vacations are understandable, as well as any
other difficulties, but please do not join if you aren't at least going to
be active for a little while.

this group of survivors is located in the run-down version of new york
city, new york. they have been holding out here for several months
now, and most of them know each other fairly well. of course there
are some new-comers, and some out there that haven't found the
group yet. they have made their home in an abandoned warehouse
on the outskirts of the city, giving them a pretty good amount of
protection from he horrors that await them outside. they must stick
together, and continue to strive for survival if they hope to make it.
