Adam simply nodded his head as he heard the quick correction on how to address the delta, brushing it off with a shrug it didn't bother him, he could understand where he were coming from once upon a time he hadn't liked being addressed by his title either, not unless the situation were more serious and even then it wasn't definite. The room had fallen silent as he begun to clean the males face, murmuring an apology when he realized he wasn't being as careful as he thought he was and switched positions to hopefully take away some of the discomfort though his expression had soften slightly he still kept fully awear with what was going on in the rest of the otherwise eerily quite house, attention only waving from the male before him as he heard the front door open and shut in a quicker manor causing him to quickly look in the direction though he couldn't quite see it from the position of the medics way a few rooms down, though due to the pace whoever walked in he quickly waved it off likely just one of them coming back to get something at least that's what he had to think unless proven otherwise. His attention was brought back to Leandro as he heard the dissapointed tone he gave in response to being told the time. Not being able to help the subtle chuckle that slipped out of the sentinel's throat before he clicked his tongue with a nod placing the wrappers in the trash beside them before leaning back on his heels, hands loosely resting on his knees "Hey, i'd call that pretty lucky considering the time it would take had we been like the rest of the town, think of it as a perk." he reminded with a shrug. He knew he likely wouldn't help as much as he meant for it to but he was true, thanks to the gene's they were born with their bodies tended to heal quicker then the average person which explains how the wound on his shoulder had completely stopped breathing and began to slowly close up it came useful, unless of course the wrong person caught on and started asking questions in which case was a major pain to deal with.

As Leondro began to explain why he hadn't called sooner however adam focused on his explanation with a more serious demeanor leaning somewhat against the bed they sat beside as he listened. It was understandable how it went down if he were being honest it could have happen to anyone though that said even then it could have been handled differently rather he left before the rogue saw him or took someone with him to begin with, but even he couldn't argue nobody could have predicted how violent that rogue was, sure most rogues were violent in some manor rather it be verbally or physically but this one.. even to him was off. Letting out a sigh of his own as he broke his attention away from the one across from him to glance at the clock, thinking about what he had just been told he inwardly shook his head, he still blamed himself had he been paying attention when Leondro had left he may have caught it in time.. he was just unbelievably happy it were only what wounds they had escaped with instead of their lives, had it been any other way the sentinel would never forgive himself, not again. It was as he had heard the delta explain he and north had been too busy to accompany him on the scouting however did his full attention snap back to the delta with a slightly surprised, serious expression as he straighten his composure before he spoke up really? Leondro. listen to me when i say we are Never too busy to take care of our pack, our family" he began before leaning towards him just slightly to ensure he had his attention as his gaze found the other's, he needed to be sure he knew he was completely serious, the fact he even thought they were too busy kind of hurt a bit why would he think that? "The pack comes first, you know that.. Had i not been so distracted i should have caught his scent before you even left the house. If you even think you need one of us we're there.. i'm there you know that right?" He continued before hearing his order to lift up his shirt and shook his head with a sigh, giving him a silent softer look "i've got it" and silently held out his hand for the gauze and antiseptic "When you go back out, take someone with you? Tell me and i'll be there" he finished in a gentle tone before running a hand though his hair as he remained holding the eye contact with the delta before he slowly stood back up his tone had been more gentle then it normally would have been especially if addressing the beta whom would have got the same speech as would anyone else who had been sitting across from him.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As soon as the leaders voice had been heard through the unsettled dust and hot mess the once somewhat stable room now was a large wave of relief had washed over her body and kat released a thankful breath though it was one that almost instantly got caught in her throat as another bone chilling crash took place almost as soon as she had stepped foot into the room earning her to quickly grab the door frame to ensure she wasn't taken down with it, who in their right mind would put them in this landmine?! and without a carpenter on board at that! Shaking her head with a displeased huff the agent secured the lead on the flashlight to her wrist before a movement its light had shown caught her eye, instantly earning her undivided attention. She squinted her eyes just slightly until she could make out the full situation, one that instantly caught her breath as she spotted Rian on the floor and from the looks of it not in the best shape. That was all she had to see before calling for vers once again, where was that kid?? he had been silent for an unusual long time without giving some comment likely not suitable for the time, she'd have to find him later and make sure he too was in one piece but right now she was more focused on getting to the stressful curly haired male did he so have a death wish??.
The warning Rian had thrown out only went in one ear and out the other with a simple nod as she let out a small smirk and looked over at him with a raised eyebrow "Oh? i thought you were redecorating, sir. Nice what you've done with the place, though.. lets leave the constructing to the professionals. " she battered at the male with a soft chuckle before she let it slowly subside and gave him a silent "i'll be fine" look and carefully began to move into the vanishing room more focused on not loosing her balance nor shoe to the gaping holes now in their floor and reaching her beloved leader before he was dragged down any further. Moving through the room was like an elaborate game of chess or even checkers, having to plan out their every move before even taking it, who knew they'd be playing a game with a house. Kat was almost over half way to her target when she heard the floor begin to creak in protest below her earning her to roll her mixed brown eyes in annoyance while she paused to figure out a new route as if walking on a frozen lake. Had she been smart she'd have tied herself to a piece of furniture or something heavier in case the floor did go down again but not knowing how much time she had before it happen and being more concerned with reaching Rian before it had. She continued onward only stumbling a few times over fallen disbre and floorboards luckily catching herself on a desk or something of the like until she finally had made it to the side that she had been away from for an uncomfortable time with a hop over a small gap in the floor, only pausing as it groaned once catching her weight she finally looked to the leader she now stood beside gaze traveling over him to ensure he hadn't hurt himself before pausing at his head where his hand remained and let it fall to meet his own "You sure you're okay?..be a bummer if the house is the one to take you out" She murmured half jokingly though a better part had been serious until she heard his comment about vers looking at the house earning a slightly amused scoff from the girl as she glanced towards the door and back to him "If we can find him, i think thats what he's doing"
Leandro Marquez
Steel Pack | Delta
Location: Steel Pack House
Tagged: Adam
He supposed that it was okay, having just a two day healing time, especially considering he was not a human like most of the town. He didn't think that he would really be able to bear more than two days. "Okay, okay. I guess so. At least I'm not a human. This would probably heal in about a week or two if I was a human." Leandro said, reluctantly, then he pouted again - though he became serious after Adam had become very serious as well. While he knew that they really wouldn't be too busy to help, it had definitely seemed that way when he saw them in the kitchen. Though he wouldn't say that outloud - attacking a clearly excellent relationship that was beneficial to the pack, which was certainly proved when they'd worked together well when they arrived to attack the rogue after his call. Besides, he couldn't damage his relationship with anyone in the pack either, lest he ended up like Aurora - he knew very well what some members of the pack thought of her, regardless of what she brought to the pack.
He stared at Adam, to show that he was listening, then nodded slowly. "I know that. I do." Leandro replied, though he couldn't help but think back to those moments. Everything had happened so quickly... and no matter how much time he had, really, Leandro was not one to flee, even if he sometimes seemed like the type. Besides, he was sure that if he ran, then the rogue would have followed him back to the pack house anyway - if he hadn't caught up with him first. No, standing his ground and fighting back had been the right thing to do, Leandro was convinced of it. He was not weak or a coward, and he was not going to let anything happen that might give anyone reason to think that of him. He especially was not going to risk putting anyone else in danger unless absolutely necessary. That was probably why he'd thought no one was going to arrive - things were happening so fast and the rogue was unpredictable enough that he thought any second could have been his last.
He realised that his jaw had been clenched while he was thinking, so he quickly relaxed, hoping the tenseness wasn't noticed.
Leandro scowled a little when Adam held a hand out for the gauze and antiseptic, then relented and passed them over - though he gave a very pointed glower that meant he was going to make sure Adam dressed his own wound correctly and that he was most certainly going to intervene if he deemed it necessary. After all, Leandro didn't want to feel useless in the pack. He had a job, and he wanted to do it. He was important to the pack... right?
He then shrugged a little. "I don't think I'll be going back out for a while... but sure. Will do." Leandro replied, though he knew that he was going to go out on his own again anyway. He did not need constant supervision - this incident had just been a one-off. The likelihood of anything like it happening again was minuscule, he was sure.
Faith Conners
Steel Pack l Alpha Female l location-town, Moonlighters Cafe l tags -Skylar
"This is me we're talking about. If you were...any other....wolf that picked up the sudden scent of a pack alpha hanging around what would you do? Chance your life and attack, or hang back and leave the area well enough alone?", she asked not taking no for an answer. Even if Skylar hadn't ultimately agreed to her terms Faith would have followed them and done just as she said. Scuffle possibility be damned. Only if the other female was willing to tie her up and keep her confined would she not be out in those woods on patrol duty. "If it helps ease your nerves, then I will give you my word that I'll stay within ear shot of the house in case something did happen. Not that anything will. Silver is much too wary of the woods to try something like attacking the pack at night...unless Pris has totally had a mental breakdown or just doesn't care.", the young women let out a huff like she'd said something amusing as she lightly tapped the end of a spoon on the counter top. Not too much longer after that, the brunette female was pouring the dark rich steaming brew into a mug glazed with a brown and dark green speckle-textured glaze.
Having prepared the fresh coffee according to her beta's preferences, which she committed to heart, Faith turned around with a smile on her face. Careful to not spill any of the piping hot liquid she made her way back over to Skylar. "There we go. One coffee as you like it but watch yourself, it's really hot so show some decorum while drinking.", the werewolf said setting the full mug down in front of her customer, "And I do appreciate you caring so much about me but please try to remember who you're talking to. Your job is to protect the pack. My job is to protect you so that you can actually manage that job of yours and keep everybody else in order and safe. Your need to protect me is pretty romantic though. I'd say it seems as though you have accepted your feelings for me?" Faith shot a playful wink at her packmate chuckling a bit. The smaller of the pair knew her views on how her relationship with the beta, and overall role in Steel Pack really, may be seen as a bit skewed by some. But it had been years since the brunette cared what others thought of her or her opinions. She wasn't about to start that again now.
Silver Pack l Sentinel l location - town, streets heading towards Moonlighter's Cafe l tagged - Jessica
Despite his...reservations...about where they were headed it went without saying the brute of a male followed his quiet packmate. The dark haired male accepted the umbrella with a nod before falling into step beside the scout. He held it up just above his head while the pair walked down the street. Street that was just starting to become busy as, slowly, people appeared here and there along the stretch. Maybe a car or two passed them driving along the black top, but overall not very busy. It was still too early for most of the town of Jasper Ridge to be awake.
Without looking at Jessica, "I could ask the same to you. Can't someone go for a nice walk around their hometown as they wish?" It was meant as a light playfull jab and, while not coming accross as serious, wasn't all that playfull either. The sentinel never being one for light-hearted antics even if he did his best to attempt them. Running his free hand through his dark brunette locks, "Though I do see your point. I just needed the fresh air after being stuck at home going over cases and helping Father with the bank endeavors." A annoyed sigh, "Mother and her firm would normally handle a case like this, she is the expert, but the women is the expert as I said. And the expert left me all her other work so she could focus on this one issue. I could tell she was going to give me the case yet changed her mind at the last minute...still green you know. Plus Rose and Ty need help keeping Pris together until we know for sure she can pull through."
she stayed close beside Lucas with her arm occasionally brushing against his. It was almost like she was trying to protect herself from an unknown attack. Only her unknown attacker were the voices in her head. There was only one ear bud blasting in her ear while the other one was in her pocket. Her body posture was strong. Walking with a straight back and standing tall. Her eyes glanced up to Lucas when he started to talk. ”I suppose so. I don’t usually see many of the members in the city but then again I don’t out much and talk to people.” a small shrug of her shoulders.
She looked ahead; her eyes glancing at the world before it as if for the first time. ”fresh air is good for the mind. Try not to work such mundane hours. It’s not healthy for your body and mind. her voice paused as she listened to him speak. ”I see. Hmmm. Who is pris? I don’t stick around with the pack much.” she stated a bit embarrassed. She was in a pack but didn’t associate with them much. Troublesome. Upon reaching the cafe, she opened the door and walked in with Lucas. Her eyes were glancing over the menu quickly and it was obvious her mood was a bit lighter.
Since CS made me change my signature because they didn’t like that my officer died for someone bad, I hope he finds rest while others hate him for doing his job and sacrificing his life.
Blake was slow to rise, as he was nearly every morning. Unlike most of those in his pack, the albino lived in a small cabin on the western edge of town. He wasn't a fan of being around too many people, but he still needed to be close to the pack. Despite it's simple appearance, his cabin was set up with security and wifi just like apartments the rest of the pack lived in. His plan for the day was to go scouting, but before he headed out to do that, he thought he should check with another pack member first. Something he always thought as a weakness turned out to be a asset to the pack. His farsightedness made him pretty useful as a scout, since he could keep an eye on things from a distance.
Blake quickly dressed himself. His outfit wasn't anything unusual for him. He needed to cover himself completely to prevent burning his very sensitive skin, so a light purple long sleeve shirt and some jeans was his choice. In addition to that, he also wore some light gloves, a scarf, a beanie and his prescription sunglasses. In his human form, he was able to correct his vision so he could see clearly close up, but just like his skin, his eyes were also sensitive to light. He wore sunglasses all the time, even indoors, because of it. Just before he left, he threw a few more things into a satchel.
The walk to town was a short one, but unfortunately it was raining so he grabbed an umbrella out of his bag. People were already out and about, but Blake just kept his head down and kept walking. He was always a little self-conscious in town because he always believed he was easily recognizable. Soon enough though, he made to Bayard's place, and knocked lightly on the door. "Ty? Are you there? It's Blake." he said through the door.
The smaller of the pair knew her views on how her relationship with the beta, and overall role in Steel Pack really, may be seen as a bit skewed by some. But it had been years since the brunette cared what others thought of her or her opinions. She wasn't about to start that again now.
Then things took a southward turn as the pair of scents were unmistakable.
There were two of them and the scents hit Faith like a fortified tree trunk she just managed to crash head long into. It was hard to mistake the scent of wolves you spent days keeping a nose out for.
Faith's hand shot forward across the counter to grab a hold of the young women whom she had just served. Her hand tightening around North's squeezing, not in warning, but more in silent reassurance. The timing could not have been more spot on if the small brunette had planned this herself. Of course it was somewhat predictable considering the café was semi-neutral territory despite being in the middle of Silver's as well as being run by a Steel. And the only real reason for that, no matter who was asked, was because of the high human population that would be around no matter the time of day to witness massive wolves tearing each other into bloody pieces. It was this high risk of exposure that kept wolves...cordial...in the establishment together even if a close call sprung up. Neither pack wanted to be discovered by humans after all. That being said, Faith held tight onto the volatile beta's hand while rubbing the top of it with her thumb. The whole time the female not braking eye contact with her packmate. 'Easy. Breath. I've got this. Keep an eye out.' Two wolves hardly made up a patrol as Skylar had mentioned heading their way at some point and neither seemed hostile, but a whole patrol was not needed all the time. Especially if they were the right wolves with the right task on their agenda. Still even something as pack hostilities couldn't erase the young women's duties as a barista of the café. Right now these two weren't interlopers but rather paying customers that demanded to be served. And so served they would be. Slowly releasing Skylar's hand, the smaller female righted herself withdrawing her hand before leaving behind the counter.
"Morning!", said the young women brightly having left the counter and crossed the room for the table where the two new arrivals had taken up residance, "Welcome to Moonlighters Cafe! My names Faith Conners, what can I get for you two on this misty morning?" Her voice was chipper enough as she cast her gaze between both seated at the table and she appeared physically relaxed. Not a single outward sign that anything was amiss. Faith turned her head smiling pleasently at Lucas adding a small head tilt to the side.
Lucas's eyes narrowed as hazel caught hazel from the corner of his eye, his focus remaining mostly on the list of specials he'd found on the table. It was something to draw his attention to another location other then the barista that had come for their orders. "It's dreary out.", the male said in a plain voice deciding he may as well go first, "Peppermint Mocha Espresso. Double the peppermint and espresso parts and a French Vanilla Scone." Like that he set the small specials menus back where he had taken it from the table.
BETA FEMALE//STEEL//PUREBLOOD//TWENTY-TWO//SINGLE//TAGS; FAITH, LUCAS, JESSICA.
"protect me? please. i'm the biggest, baddest thing in these damn woods and you know it."
she scoffed. a small sound just brimming with the female's signature arrogance. weird little episode over, the beta was coming back to herself. quite possibly to the dismay of everybody who would encounter her later.
"i can think of one or two who'd jump at the chance to take you out," skylar muttered, continuing with her tirade. "bite off the head of the snake, i think you people say. something like that, i'm sure. don't correct me. to be frank I don't care. you get the point."
the assurance she'd be within earshot wasn't comforting, either. it'd take her precious seconds to find her, precious seconds more to reach her. she was quite possibly the strongest fighter they had, in either pack, but as a tracker she was more than useless.
she took the steaming beverage gratefully despite her worsening mood and cupped her hands around it, murmuring a few words of thanks as she dropped into a seat nearby to drink.
"faith, i'm really worried at the moment, okay? something's going on and like it or not, my job is to protect yo-"
faith jumped. startled. north was up and out of her seat in a second, trying to work out exactly what was going on. eyes scanning the room, all available windows, searching for any movement or sound aside from that created by themselves.
footsteps. that wasn't anything in of itself. they were in the middle of jasper.
then she saw a somewhat familar figure passing the window, with a smaller female companion at his side. presumaly also a werewolf. she couldn't recall his name, sure, but she'd learnt to recognise all of the silver sentinels by sight. at least, all of those living in jasper. she'd had to. scent wasn't something she could rely on, but nor was she willing to let people realise she couldn't. crap.
she took pride in saying she wasn't easily kept under thumb, but that really wasn't true. quite literally, in this case. had faith not grabbed skylar's hand, there was a good chance that - in her current state of mind - she would have lunged.
eyes narrowed, she tried her best to follow her alpha's example, but though she'd managed to still herself to the point that nothing looked wrong, her eyes didn't leave the pair once.
the alphaess poured the coffee as requested, putting it into one of the pretty white coffee cups and placing it down in front of the older female before she turned to put another capsule in the machine and waited as the latte began to pour. she wasn't one for coffee at all typically, unless it happened to be of the pumpkin spice variety, but the taste of a smooth latte when she was so exhausted was always welcome.
it took a minute, maybe two, of complete and uncomfortable silence but soon she was sat in an adjacent seat and crossing one leg over the other with one fluid movement. emmelene was still an alphaess, though she didn't know for how much longer, and she had a part to play. she'd have time to slump when she was inevitably overthrown.
"let's just get this over with, officer. what did you want to ask?"
though trained well in diplomacy - she'd have rated it among her best skills a week ago - she had to grit her teeth slightly against the gaze of the lone wolf. almost unnoticeable.
breathe. just breathe.
it took everything she had to stay composed when a sudden flash of blood-soaked amber filled her mind and vanished, almost as quickly as it had come. her trembling hands' grip on her mug tightened and, momentarily, she closed her eyes. another one was on its way.
he couldn't quite see straight but he continued moving towards the door anyway, doing his best to spread his weight out across the dubious floors and trying even harder not to stand on another rodent.
was that blood on his fingers? great. we'll have to dig some bandages out now, too. and tetanus booster shots. that'll be fun.
the team leader reached the doorway without any further incident, somehow, and reached out an arm to kat, in the high unlikelihood that she'd need it.
speak of the devil, where was vers?
"he's still outside," rian decided, calmly. "if he was up here, he'd have gone through the floor already," he added, with a weak smile at his joke. they didn't give enough credit to the man, for sure, but he didn't seem to mind being the group's comic relief. god knew how much they relied on him to hold them together, the same way he relied so heavily on kat to keep him moving in a straight line.
the dust floating in the air sent him into another coughing fit.
"are you alright?"
[b]BAYARD "TY" TYRAEMAR
SENTINEL//SILVER//HALFBLOOD//TWENTY-NINE//SINGLE//TAGS; BLAKE, STILL AT HOME
despite his motivation to get outside and finish the tasks at hand, bayard had been somewhat sidetracked. he'd been half-dressed and singing along loudly to elo's mr blue sky for half an hour when the knock sounded on his door. it took him a moment to recognise the scent of his visitor, but he smiled when he did. he quite liked blake. the guy had more humility than some of his packmates, for sure.
as much as pris' misery tore him up, he'd secretly thought their alpha had had it coming to him. he thought that of a lot of his pack, in fact, but better a pack brimming with hubris than a pack that would kill anything that so much as looked their way. thankfully, the worst ones lived far away from jasper. and, hopefully, if the bereaved alphaess managed to hold onto power - he doubted that, too - she'd better slightly better for them. who knew.
"coming! one sec!"
he was up and moving in seconds, somehow managing to pull on a sweater and his socks as he jogged towards the door. as he'd ascertained, the young scout was indeed the one standing behind the red painted door of his appartment.
"mornin', blake. what's up?"
he frowned as he looked at blake's face, trying to work out exactly what the reason behind the visit was.
"don't tell me you've broken your laptop or something. it's too early in the morning for that kind of work. techy stuff before i've had my coffee? i don't think so."
Blake waited patiently outside of Ty’s apartment door. He was positive his packmate was there, his scent was strong, so he wasn’t surprised to hear the sentinel’s voice answer him. When the door opened, he offered a small smile. Blake was still working on his social skills for the most part. Years by himself made him unsure sometimes around others. “Oh, sorry. I should have brought you some coffee.” he replied somewhat guiltily. “But that’s not why I stopped by. I was planning on going scouting, and thought since you compile all the data, that you would know who or where I should focus on.” he explained. It was no secret that Ty was good with data. “Normally I’d check with the beta or delta, but you’re the best at organizing the intel. I was hoping maybe something jumped out at you. Or maybe you suspected something” he finished. If there wasn’t anything suspicious in Ty’s spreadsheets, he would just have to pick a spot to monitor for the day. At least he tried to be forward thinking.
Jessica Marie "MJ"
20/Female/Hetero
Silver/Scout/Schizo
Cafe/Lucas & Faith
the young wolf followed Lucas’s lead and sat down at the corner table with him. Her leg tucked behind the other and then under the chair with her arms folded in her lap. She relaxed in the chair as she watched the man sitting across from her. Jess wasn’t much of a talker but did enjoy some company to occupy the space around her. Though she was lucky because Lucas didn’t try to pry into her head. She knew she was an odd ball and quite the mystery, despite being in a pack that is supposed to be tight knit.
Her mind was diverted when a female came up to the table and asked for their order. She was friendly enough but did catch her scent. As long as they didn’t cause a problem, she didn’t want to have a problem. Jess hates getting involved in the bickering between the packs. Each of them just wanted to survive and go about their life. She let Lucas go first then looked up at the female. Giving a bright smile, she started her order.
”morning. I would like a large cup of lady earl grey tea with a squeeze of a quarter part of lemon and a cheese pastry. That’ll be all. Thank you.”
Her voice was kind. Despite the opposite pack serving her and they could tamper with the order, she hoped they didn’t. Food was one thing that could solve wars, in her head at least. Her mouth was already watering thinking of the tea and pastry.
She would let the female leave them before asking Lucas. ”relax will ya. It will get me uptight. We might have different families but this is a business, which is an income they don’t want to mess up. Not to mention, I could take down the business myself. But a bit of trust can go a long way with our enemy to possibly negotiate peace treaties and such down the line. You never know when both will have a common enemy.”
Jess didn’t let on to much information for what she did for work. Though she was a hacker, programmer, and application developer. Must of her services were able for hire as a contractor.
Since CS made me change my signature because they didn’t like that my officer died for someone bad, I hope he finds rest while others hate him for doing his job and sacrificing his life.
Faith Conners
Steel Pack l Alpha Female l location-town, Moonlighters Cafe l tags -Skylar, Jessica, Lucas
Lucas Renier
Silver Pack l Sentinel l location - town, Moonlighters Cafe l tags - Jessica, Skylar, Faith
The brunette listened carefully to each order before nodding. "A citrus Earl Grey and a mint patty Espresso. Add in something cheesy yet sweet and another something french to munch on. Sounds good. I'll have it all out in a few minutes.", shensaid before turning her back and walking back towards the counter.
Lucas watched Faith leave them to head back to the counter before his eyes caught sight of why the Steel scent was parricularly strong. The young women running the place wasn't the only wolf from the opposite pack there. The carefull burning look of their rival pack's beta felt like a hot iron or bunch of glowing coals were being forced to his skin. Wonderful. Fabulous. Why the male expected any different then this set up was something beyond him. As if the brunette that just took their order wasn't bad enough, nope, there was this other equally irritating face they had to deal with. Skylar Nordskov. The beta of their pack's rival and the second extreme on the other end of the personality spectrum. Though he didn't actually know her, Luke had heard plenty enough of her due to having to keep an eye out for the female on patrols. Welp here she was. Lucas made eye contact with North, holding it for a couple seconds, before turning back to Jessica. Though his senses were trained over by the counter now and refused to budge. "Ah. There is no time to be concerned about trivial matters when it does not matter in the long run anyway. And I am not uptight, this is how I am all the time.", sighed Luke giving his morning companion his attention again trying to ignore the other wolves in the establishment. Surely none of them were foolish enough to start something here in the middle of town like this. At least that was a small plus to rely on. "So I take it things are going well then for you?" Polite conversation generally made for a easy decent distraction in most cases.
Meanwhile Faith had made it back to the counter and North still claiming residence at it. Machines lined up along the back wall like patiently soldiers awaiting orders wanting to be used to serve the new customers. The female wasted little time in getting to work acting as though nothing was up. "So how is it? Worth getting out in uncomfortable weather for a cup I hope. If not I need to make adjustments.", she said adressing North while setting a pot up for tea. Tea water wouldn't take more then a minute, if that even, to boil so the alpha decided to make the espresso first. The fact that she knew where everything was like the back of her hand made everything easier, especially with being able to get everything ready on the counter space. All the barista had to do was toss everything together.
