xxxxxxxxAurora's trip was rather uneventful, other then the common squirrel or deer here and there. Though her predatory instinct to kill kicked in, she managed to wean herself off of it gradually and ignore the desire. Now back, she discovered that it was rather vacant. Not that she minded, but she wasn't used to the odd peace. Instead of poking around, she just went back and finished off the water she'd left in the fridge, pitching it into the recycling bin when it was empty. A low grumble resounded in her stomach, reminding her she hadn't bothered to eaten - per usual - this morning. Sighing, she went ahead and reached into the fruit bowl for an apple, which she promptly cleaned afterward before biting into. Wiping away the sweet juice which had begun to roll its way down her chin. She pulled out her phone and took a seat, finding she had no missed calls or texts. It was rare that she had, considering she barely spoke to anyone, but was an occurrence on the very rare occasion. Tucking it back away, she tossed the core of the eaten apple out and went back outside.

I gaze up at the midnight sky, can't find a single star
there are times when I miss the light but I'm not afraid of the dark

SKYLAR "NORTH" ALEKSANDRSEN NORDSKOV
BETA FEMALE//STEEL//PUREBLOOD//TWENTY-TWO//SINGLE//TAGS; FAITH.

she shook her head very quickly at the suggestion there was anything else.
"no, i'm fine. adam's a little bruised and battered too, but nothing serious. couple of bite wounds. besides, even if he was, leandro will fix him up. they're both fully functioning." both more functional than i am at the moment, she added silently. it didn't need to be said.
"and anyway, since when am i not off the rails anyway?" though typically dauntless, it was true that she was always jittery anyway, whatever her caffeine intake had been that morning.
the norwegian declined to sit beside her alpha, instead deciding to pace up and down as she continued to talk.
"and don't even get me started on aurora. she was sat on my porch this morning... just watching. oh, the moment she gives me a damn reason i swear... " she cut herself off before she could finish that. faith had heard the spiel before, and they both knew the chance a certain somebody would get killed in the scuffle was too high for skylar to entertain that idea. she'd have to bite her tongue and look away as always.
"but otherwise, we're all fine. night patrol from 10pm to 6;15am was totally clear. not a whiff of trouble," she added, ironically. "then next thing i know is i'm on my kitchen counter drinking hale's utterly dreadful kaffe and this bloodcurdling screech goes up and we're both tumbling out of the door... i couldn't keep up with adam, so i got there maybe twenty seconds after he did. got there just in time to break it up and send that filth crawling back the way it came. "
skylar nordskov side-eyed the brunette beside her.
"so because the git's not dead, that means you're staying behind a locked door for the next few days. you understand?" she patted the alpha's shoulder, somewhat shakily.
her tone wasn't the gentlest, sure, but for the most part, skylar meant well.

leading the way to the kitchen, pris couldn't help but study the police officer a little further. she was half a head taller, undoubtedly stronger. not ideal, but not exactly hard to accomplish either. with her slim limbs and somewhat gentle nature, pris really wasn't the strongest. not long after she'd finally been released from the rank of omega, she'd convinced bayard to teach her to fight. she'd lost to the techie over and over again, no matter how much he pulled his punches. yet he lost to her every time they played chess, even though the older male was easily one of the smarter wolves of the pack. after about six months of lessons, she'd given up and decided to make herself valuable in another way. as a half-blood, her body may have been weak, but her mind certainly wasn't.
the redhead pulled two mugs from the cupboard, placing the white stoneware on the breakfast bar she'd only recently vacated and powering on the coffee machine on the adjacent counter. it was an old and temperamental machine, but she prided herself on her ability to get the thing to work. originally it had been a rather unconventional wedding present from her mother's cousin, blair's mom, but she secretly assumed the woman had simply been keen to get rid of it. that woman always had been pretty weird. apparently it's rubbed off on blair too, she thought, grimacing at the thought of that banana yellow bandana.
still, it made coffee. she refused to spend money to buy a new one when it could pay for something more valuable.
avoiding a proper response to theo's assertions, if only for a few moments, the widow glanced over her shoulder to meet eyes with the detective.
"so, how do you take your coffee?"

Jessica Marie "MJ"
20/Female/Hetero
Silver/Scout/Schizo
Central Jasper/Lucas
Humming to the music in her ears, her eyes were staring at the ground in front of her. Her music remained loud as ever in her ears to drone out the voices. The goal in life was to remain invisible to everyone. Most of the pack she didn’t even know. Between her computer work and scouting, she only spoke to the beta, Blake, and a few others. Though rarely, she did speak in meetings and did her best to conceal herself. Atleast till she ran into someone. He was taller than her, carried the packs scent, and she also took notice that his arms had wrapped around her protectively. Luckily they hadn’t fallen onto the wet ground. His voice seemed familiar enough to recognize. Lifting her umbrella up along with her head, she gave a warm smile as she realized it was Lucas. Even though she hated being touched, she was still grateful they hadn’t fallen because of his quick thinking to hold on to her.

”that’s one way to say hello.” She teased in a sarcastic voice. Upon being released, she took a step back and straightened out her clothes. Looking back up at him, her smile was no longer on her face and she was pulling out one of her headphones. “Good morning as well. I’m actually heading down to the coffee shop for some air. Care to join me if you don’t have anything planned? You can fight off the others that bump into me.” her teasing tone was back with a slight smirk. Realizing he was in the rain as well, she stepped forward and held the umbrella over him. The umbrella itself was big enough for 3 people to stand under with a squishy grip. She felt bad that he was getting rained on and was prolonging that time to speak with her.

Since CS made me change my signature because they didn’t like that my officer died for someone bad, I hope he finds rest while others hate him for doing his job and sacrificing his life.

Faith Conners

Steel Pack l Alpha Female l location-town, Moonlighters Cafe l tags -Skylar

"I know you don't exactly like her and you can rant your tail off at will to me anytime about her, as long as you let me deal with her. Which, miraculous as it is, so far you have. Let's keep doing whatever we can to keep it up yeah?" Honestly Faith had no idea what she was going to do with the two females, well other then plead with the one in front of her to not engage the other. To let her handle the wayward member of the pack. Of course the brunette was carrying out Skylar's threats on the sentinel so it was easier for her to manage Aurora directly. The standoffish female was still the only member of her pack that the alpha had pinned or otherwise attacked in anything other then play. "It's fine if you don't get it but just trust me when I say it's best for all of us if we keep her in our ranks. I don't want a phone call or a visit one day saying she left the pack for one reason or another."

She continued to listen to the beta taking everything one piece of information at a time as it reached her ears. Processing each bit of intel absorbing it as she did. While over all it appeared that things were alright with the pack, it still wasn't as great as Faith would have wanted. Adam was injured. Sure North said that he had just recieved a few bites and bruises, but that was a few bites and bruises too many for the more patite female. That wasn't even considering that fact that made two injured with Leandro. Two injured that happened to be two of the three she depended on the most in her pack. Faith could not afford to have Steel's Lead Sentinel and Delta Male be injured either long or seriously. Even more so when they were critical vertebre to the spine of the group as they were. "You guys are going to drive me to an early grave you know that? What is there to do with all of you?", Faith sighed raising a hand to rub at a temple. Getting to her feet Faith left her seat to move around the back of the counter again towards the machines lining the wall. "The reason why Hale's coffee was so bad was because you guys don't have the right beans...using the cheap store-bought powder instead of coming to me and saying something. I could easily supply the house with a selection that'll taste great no matter who or how it is brewed.", the young women said getting to work making a warm beverage for her first customer of the morning. Free of charge as useual went unspoken. The brunette never charged her packmates for anything. "I'm not going to make you go to sleep now, though I really should make you go upstairs and nap for a bit and have no idea why I am not. Probably because I don't feel like wasting my breath.", said the alpha wolf setting coffee to brew, "But I am going back with you and patrol is mine for the rest of the day. That includes night." The last part was added in quickly before Skylar could catch the loop hole. Never mind the fact that it was directly opposed to what Skylar had said.

Silver Pack l Sentinel l location - town, streets l tagged - Jessica

The sentinel blinked when MJ moved so that he too was included under her umbrella's protection. Though the rain was fairly light to the point of being more of a mist really, the young man didn't bother with a protest. Instead he smiled greatfully as he ducked under joining his packmate. Yes Jessica was without a doubt a member of Silver Pack. Though, if memory served him right, she wasn't exactly one of it's more outgoing members. Instead the young women was more on the shy quiet side of the scale even among the other wolves. While he did think this a bit odd, Lucas wasn't one to press an issue that could very well be sesitive if brought up..he had his own issue after all. Everyone did. Some issues were alright to be talked about and others were bet kept buries in the dark where they belonged.

"Thank you.", Lucas said greatfully. Though when he heard just where Jessica was planning to go a frown pulled at his face, though it disappeared just as fast. The young female was going to get something at the cafe this drizzling morning. The only cafe in the town of Jasper and it happened to be run by- "If you are sure I'm not imposing on you or ruining your daily schedule, then it would be rude to say no to an invitation. Besides a warm drink in this wet morning could do anybody some good right? Feel free to lead the way.", offering a hand out, "Should I carry the umbrella for you or are you alright with it? I don't want to make you have to streach just to keep a litle water off my head." Like the male sentinel was really going to let a packmate, any packmate, go there of all places. Yeah right! N matter how capable said packmate maybe there was no way that was happening!

Theo Sirhaan [5]

Postby Dragonheart48 » Sun Sep 22, 2019 4:40 am

Theo looked up at the other alpha female with a small smile at the question, "Just black is fine, thank you". In reality, Theo tended to like more milk and sugar in her coffee than actual coffee but for the sake of time the detective didn't want this to take any longer than it had to. There was another part of her that just didn't want to deal with any potential teasing that might follow. She looked back at the information she had on the situation with a frown. The file was odd with inconsistent information about the case with a lot of information about the relations between the people involved but very little about where people were. The worst thing was there wasn't even a properly recorded time of death so she'd have to ask every potential suspect where they were for the entire day along with if there were witnesses to corroborate what they've claimed. It was going to be exhausting to deal with, "We can start with the questions whenever you're ready Ms. Cristenndale".

Logan Bryant ~ Male ~ Twenty-Seven ~ Werewolf ~ Silver Pack ~ Scout
Location: Outside Tony's Auto-Shop ~ Tags: None/Open

Logan stepped outside of his workplace and into the cloudy and rainy weather. He wasn't bothered by a little rain, as at the moment it wasn't raining hard. The man stretched an arm into the air and leaned side to side as if trying to limber up, considering he might have just woken from a small nap on the couch in the back office. It was a considerably slow day for the auto-shop and currently they had nothing lined up for the day. The amount of jobs always seemed to vary in Jasper Ridge, on rare days like today there'd be nothing. But on others they'd be slammed and have all hands on deck working overtime. The man glanced warily up at the clouds and gave the air a gentle sniff. If the weather picked up or got worse Logan had no doubt they'd end up with work, the worse the weather the more likely for accidents.

Logan fished his phone from his pocket to check for messages or missed calls but found none before shoving it back in. It was either a good thing or a bad one. The state of the pack wasn't exactly what he'd call great, though he had no doubt they'd pull through. Logan let out a small sigh before starting down the sidewalk, he'd already been told to go home for the time being. There was a chance he'd be doing the night shift come tonight, not that he planned to actually head home and sleep.

The delta sat in her desk chair, staring at the screen of her computer. She didn't want to start typing anything as it would likely drown out the sound of the law enforcement wolf and her alpha. Rose rested her head in her hands, keeping her ears perked slightly for any signal that her alphaess needed help. Rose pulled her phone out of her pocket, laying in on the desk screen up in case anyone was going to call her. It was normal for some of the scouts to call and ask her about the current pack situation, since she was close to the alphas. Eventually, Rose typed her password into the pack computer and pulled out a notepad. The healer was always doing some type of research. She had her own little experiments going on with the few mice she had in the medic bay. It was something that had always peaked her interest. Glancing at the clock on her computer, her stomach rumbled as she realized that she hadn't grabbed breakfast, let alone her normal coffee. Forgetting to eat seemed to be a theme for the healer.

the blonde just huffed in response, growling under her breath as she tried to assemble the words correctly.
"yeah well fight me. there's werewolf hunters or a rabid or quite possibly a very irate silver patrol headed our way any day now, no? and you just expect me to let you sit out in the woods all night? i don't think so, kjære." had anybody else argued with the alpha, even if it had been well-meant, north may well have had them pinned to the ground by their throat. but skylar aleksandrsen nordskov, however, was nothing if not a hypocrite. especially whenit came to being overly protective of the little brunette. with the death of caspian cristenndale, their rival alpha, she'd been desperately worried for her own. she jabbed at faith connors and was more than a bit of a headache for the female at times, but if anything - anything - happened to faith, she'd be utterly inconsolable. and whilst she was more than happy to poke fun at how inferior silver sentinels were to her own wolves, the fact the perpetrator had gotten through their tech-enhanced defences - which were decidedly less inferior - so easily unnerved her.
"listen, faith, please. fine, whatever. uansett hva du ønsker. but at least make sure you have adam and another wolf with you. seb or gen. even jason would be better than nothing."

the alphaess poured the coffee as requested, putting it into one of the pretty white coffee cups and placing it down in front of the older female before she turned to put another capsule in the machine and waited as the latte began to pour. she wasn't one for coffee at all typically, unless it happened to be of the pumpkin spice variety, but the taste of a smooth latte when she was so exhausted was always welcome.
it took a minute, maybe two, of complete and uncomfortable silence but soon she was sat in an adjacent seat and crossing one leg over the other with one fluid movement. emmelene was still an alphaess, though she didn't know for how much longer, and she had a part to play. she'd have time to slump when she was inevitably overthrown.
"let's just get this over with, officer. what did you want to ask?"
though trained well in diplomacy - she'd have rated it among her best skills a week ago - she had to grit her teeth slightly against the gaze of the lone wolf. almost unnoticeable.
breathe. just breathe.
it took everything she had to stay composed when a sudden flash of blood-soaked amber filled her mind and vanished, almost as quickly as it had come. her trembling hands' grip on her mug tightened and, momentarily, she closed her eyes. another one was on its way.

a second floorboard had given way in a second loud bang.
barely avoiding the first collapse, he'd succumbed to the second. by the time the yellow light of katrine's flashlight had found him, he was sprawled on a more stable section of the floor, rubbing the side of his head with a grimace and muttering obscenities under his breath. they didn't count as unprofessional, as far as he was concerned, if they weren't in english.
"kat? i'm here, i'm here. it's fine."
the team leader rubbed his head just a little harder, mussing the dark curly hair. it was definitely due fora trim. he'd been letting himself go. somewhere in the back of his pain-hazed mind, he decided he'd have to make vers cut it for him later on. as much as he loved his teammate, he wasn't sure he was willing to play ken doll for her just yet.
"be careful! the floors are literal deathtraps."
the female in question was edging into the room. his heart stopped. she was considerably smaller and lighter than the 6'4" male, but he wasn't willing to take the risk. using a dusty cupboard to prop himself on, he hauled himself upwards only somewhat unsteadily.
"we're going to have to get vers to check the rest of the building, i think." only half joking.

Faith Conners

Steel Pack l Alpha Female l location-town, Moonlighters Cafe l tags -Skylar
[/quote]
"This is me we're talking about. If you were...any other....wolf that picked up the sudden scent of a pack alpha hanging around what would you do? Chance your life and attack, or hang back and leave the area well enough alone?", she asked not taking no for an answer. Even if Skylar hadn't ultimately agreed to her terms Faith would have followed them and done just as she said. Scuffle possibility be damned. Only if the other female was willing to tie her up and keep her confined would she not be out in those woods on patrol duty. "If it helps ease your nerves, then I will give you my word that I'll stay within ear shot of the house in case something did happen. Not that anything will. Silver is much too wary of the woods to try something like attacking the pack at night...unless Pris has totally had a mental breakdown or just doesn't care.", the young women let out a huff like she'd said something amusing as she lightly tapped the end of a spoon on the counter top. Not too much longer after that, the brunette female was pouring the dark rich steaming brew into a mug glazed with a brown and dark green speckle-textured glaze.

Having prepared the fresh coffee according to her beta's preferences, which she committed to heart, Faith turned around with a smile on her face. Careful to not spill any of the piping hot liquid she made her way back over to Skylar. "There we go. One coffee as you like it but watch yourself, it's really hot so show some decorum while drinking.", the werewolf said setting the full mug down in front of her customer, "And I do appreciate you caring so much about me but please try to remember who you're talking to. Your job is to protect the pack. My job is to protect you so that you can actually manage that job of yours and keep everybody else in order and safe. Your need to protect me is pretty romantic though. I'd say it seems as though you have accepted your feelings for me?" Faith shot a playful wink at her packmate chuckling a bit. The smaller of the pair knew her views on how her relationship with the beta, and overall role in Steel Pack really, may be seen as a bit skewed by some. But it had been years since the brunette cared what others thought of her or her opinions. She wasn't about to start that again now.

she hadn’t caught his frown as she was gesturing with her head towards the coffee shop. ”my invitation stands. I don’t bite too hard.” she nodded her head and started walking away till he offered to hold the umbrella. He was taller and it would be easier for him to not have to come to her height. Handing the umbrella off to him, she put her hands into her pockets and continued her walk beside him. Kind of him to hold it.

”what brings you outside? You know can get sick with weather like this.” which roughly translated to ‘why are you here?’ She didn’t see many of the pack members in the city as much unless going to the meeting or running an errand. Though she enjoyed city living for a few different reasons. The noise it gave off made her voices seem distant.
