westlake is a small town, but not necessarily one that could be described as isolated or out-of-touch. there
is one high school- fossil ridge- that everyone in town has been to. it was your parents' high school, your big
brother's high school, and now yours. enter a group of friends on the dawn of their senior year at fossil, all
unique in their own little ways. most have known each other since diaperhood-- their parents know each o-
ther, work together, throw cul-de-sac barbecues together. their lives are peaceful for the most part, a blur
of football games and late nights in diners and sleeping in class. however, if there's one thing that's consiste
nt in this life, it's pain. each of them is going through something that they wouldn't dare to share, and it's s
lowly eating away at their little group. what happens when it becomes too much to handle? too much to hid
e? it's one thing to be faceless, just another person in a big city-- it's totally different when everyone aroun
d you has an intimate knowledge of you and your whole family. there's so much more to lose. the real quest
ion we should be asking, however, is whether these kids will open up to their friends or let it tear them up.
