thor, god of thunder and sky.
tags: turner, everyone.
feeling: [removed]
confused, but calm.
it was the axis-shifting quake of his landing that jolted thor from his somewhat peaceful slumber. turning his head, he discovered that not only was he [removed] afraid, but he was not alone - already, a couple human females had discovered their location before even he himself knew. "fell from the sky?" how strange, he thought, and stood on his feet to gain a better view of those surrounding him.
feeling the breeze of unfamiliar warm air, he desperately wanted to ask what planet sector they were in, growing more anxious every minute that he was curious and unknowing. whyever they were here, thor could not help but appreciate that, despite waking up mysteriously and with no memory, the unlikely odds of being on an english-tongue planet, as modern and... slurred as it may be. as he payed closer attention to the actual words being spoken, his eyes and smile widened. "that is rather generous," he started, [removed] "perhaps, first, we could find some more suitable attire? at the.. uh, mall." the lad stumbled over his words as he tickled his brain for the correct modern terminology. "then, maybe instead of inviting strangers to stay with you, we may all hang... and get to know each other. then instead, you may invite friends." his words were coated with a strong accent, not sounding foreign, but noticeably different from the english native to these girls.
thor recalled hearing about the city of lights from his mother, or perhaps from the general buzz and gossip of childhood classmates, but upclose, new york was... alive. busy. something completely separate from the chaos he inexplicably felt was missing. no, this was sort of... comforting. the white noise of cars, the humming of neon signs - it was calming in the sense that every single individual living here were swept up in their own lives. it seemed like no one knew his name. like no one would bow as he walked through the plaza. and thor enjoyed this feeling, finding ease in being one in a million.
