you and seven other youtube/instagram influencers have been tapped to
join the "tech-free challenge," a reality tv show based on an island off the
coast of figi. the rules are simple: be the celeb to last the longest not using any
social media. sounds simple enough, except, the longer you go without posting
that photo or uploading your next video is lost subscribers, supporters, money.
how long can you truly go without using social media: your job, your life. there
is some incentive in winning: a 2 million dollar donation to a charity of your
choice, in your name. that would get you some major supporters, wouldn't it?

ii. we encourage drama, backstabbing, romance, etc.
iii. you are still payed regardless if you drop or not
iv. individuals who drop out before the end stay on

oh man does this girl have a funny bone. every since her emergence to the youtube scene back
in 2014, she has been entertaining audiences with her routines. it's even been rumored netflix
has offered her an hour special, but she cannot confirm or deny that at the moment.

smashed the gaming side of youtube since her debut in 2011. though young when she started,

The Cabana

This lovely, right on the beach home is where you'll have the pleasure of staying in during your time on Tech-Free. There are four bedrooms within the cabana, two on the first floor, two on the second floor. All four bedrooms have a view of the pool, which overlooks the ocean below. Bedrooms also have 2 beds each within them! There is a path leading from the pool right down to the beach. Cameras are set up in the following areas: the pool deck, the kitchen, the living room, all four bedrooms.

The Yacht Club

A local bar and dance club located in a stationed yacht on the pier.

Main Street

The main hub for shopping.

The Fair

A great place to spend the day. You'll find frequent challenges hosted here

La Petit Bristol

A quaint cafe with good deals on coffee, tea, and pastries.

The Cove

A hidden away cove out of reach of the camera crew (or is it?). A good place to get away for a little bit.

Olive and Twist

A small dive bar tucked away in a back alley.

ᴄʜᴀʟʟᴇɴɢᴇ ᴏɴᴇ - ᴛʀɪᴠɪᴀ ᴄᴏᴜʀsᴇ

Main Challenge:

Be the first team to successfully navigate through the obstacle course.
Goal of the Challenge:

To test the knowledge of contestants who cannot rely on google for the answer.
Set Up For Challenge:

Contestants are split into teams of two

Team One: Rebecca and Waverly
Team Two: Alexander and Thaniel
Team Three: Beatriz and Felicity
Team Four: Augustine and Eleanor
Description of the Challenge:

Contestants, in teams of two, will navigate through an obstacle course set up along the beach.
This obstacle course consists of both physical and mental challenges. At the start of one of the
physical challenges, contestants will be asked a random question in one of six categories. If
the team answers the question correctly, they are able to move on through the obstacle. If they
answer the question incorrectly, or run out of time to answer the question, the team has to go
back to the start of the obstacle course. First team to get through all obstacles is the winner
of the challenge.

Winner Incentives:

The team to win this challenge will have the opportunity to ride in a helicopter to a secluded
part of the island, where they will be treated to a spa day. In addition to this, they will both
win a "tech-pass" to be utilized in a future challenge.

Terminology

Tech-Pass

A tech-pass is award to players when they win challenges. Tech-Passes allow players
to utilize google while playing a challenge. Tech-passes may only be used once during a
challenge and are void once used. They can be held onto for as long as the player pleases.
