at least marley had aim well enough not to knock him upside that head, now that was a good thing he could at least compliment the teenager on. her weight was growing heavier on his shoulder the longer she stayed up and he knew she would have to get off soon. as coconut after coconut fell, he figured this would be enough to hold a few people over until they could find a drinkable water source. there had to be one around here and even then, a fire would also be nice. luckily the weather was hot for now which meant building and starting a fire wouldn't be too difficult. he glanced upward as best he could towards marley before he shifted his weight, ready for the girl to get down.
"alright. i think we're good for now." he told her as he waited for her to get herself balanced again and then lowered his own body to the ground to where she would be able to get off without any issue. he knew he'd never drop her on purpose so that at least at been good on his account. "good job marley." he told the girl once everything seemed all said and done. looking at the already opened coconuts, he turned to mia for a moment. "why don't you and lucy try and distribute those to people who seem a little more affected than others. i'll work on getting a fire started. if you come across anyone that you think may be able to help, do send them my way. marley, maybe you should help them? spread ground quicker that way." he suggested.

she was silent as she watched the ongoing of the adults and older girl, unsure of what she should do or say for the time being. glancing down at the coconuts already on the ground, she slowly moved one around with her foot to help pass the time. lucy was not very talkative around people that she did not know and it showed very much so today. while it was not silent so to speak with a conversation going on, she still averted her gaze to the ground and the lone coconut that laid at her feet. the sounds around her were rather overwhelming and though not loud, it was a lot. it seemed the island would provide them food if they could just find it. arms crossed across her chest in more of a safety manner, she turned her gaze upward for a moment as mia took the knife from the man's jeans.
she had opened up a coconut and then given it to her. she trusted the adults enough to know that it was drinkable though if she would like the taste would be another story. she took the opened coconut and then tentatively sipped at the liquids in side. luckily this one was not rotted internally and thus drinkable. while it wasn't water, it did the trick in ridding her of her dry mouth and she general felt a little better because of it. "thanks." the girl muttered, though loud enough for someone in her vicinity to at least hear her.
