Tabitha walked into the cabin and took a deep breath of air. The small of burning ember immediately calmed down. The dark cabin always seemed to comfort her even when there was no fire in it. She jumped a little hearing the knocking on the door. Time to deal with the real world. She opened the door and was a bit surprised to see it was Ryver, she let her in not really knowing what to say to her at that point besides the word "morons"

Elias looked over at Jacob and sighed. ok maybe he had made a mistake "she's not mad. she just hates being vulnerable, you know how she is. I over exaggerated a little and I'm sorry about that. but she'll be fine" he reassured. He had dealt with Tabitha before when she was mad and that was not a pretty sight. which is how he could tell she wasn't really mad. "I told her something embarrassing that happened earlier that surely made you blush bright red. But we're in public so she panicked"

Dawson sighed. You learn something new everyday. And ofcourse out of everything that happened in that meeting including Jacobs death threat thats the part he decided to tell his father. He shrugged as he mentioned the window. Then he reverted back at the reason he first came here for. "So... did someone deliver the food or did it just appear there?" he asked curiously

Axel headed back towards her cabin, mentally checking through a list of items she needed to bring a long for the quest. Stopping by the medical bay, Axel grabbed a quite a few packs of ambrosia, 9 demigods on a dangerous quest? There were bound to be injuries not all caused by monsters and the other idiots probably forgot to pack medical supplies. Now all she had to pack was her pillow pet, her ipod and she had better pack her snack supplies. Opening up the door to the cabin, Axel breathed in a deep breath. The smell of grapes filled her nose and reminded her of home. Walking to her bed she pick up her pillow pet, Chester, a Labrador doberman mix. She placed a collar around the pillow and all of a sudden she had an armful of excited fur. "Aww heya Chester," putting the puppy down she let him watch her pack for the quest, occasionally giving him cuddles. Axel opened up the trunk that was at the bottom of the bed, grabbing out a few change of clothes. Mumbling out what she has packed, microwaveable popcorn 10packs, Vegemite 2 tubs, ipod with all her music on it and a bottle of wine for good luck. Axel pretty much packed everything anyone would need thanks to her experience as a frequent traveller. Zipping up her backpack, she whistled to Chester getting him to follow her. Turning, she hesitated taking in everything before turning away and heading towards the group.

Whistling a random tune, Axel headed back towards the dining hall it was never late to grab more breakfast. Now with an unhealthy amount of maple syrup on her 2nd round of bacon pancakes, Axel looked around spotting the nearly empty hecate table. "Why hello there Shane and Hello to you Carpathia," she greeted the nervous pair, her bag landed with a satisfying thud on the table as she sat down with her pile of glorious pancakes, her dog laying down obediently beside her. Axel realised the two were unsure of the quest so she had to do something, and what better way than to light their competitive side on fire. Shovelling the food into her mouth, she addressed the child of Aphrodite arrogantly, "I cannot believe you are still considered healthy with the amount you eat? I am sure you wont be able to survive this quest longer than i can." Hopefully that would give her a bit more drive ... as for Shane, well he was a big boy he could handle himself.

Boyd huffed out a sigh as he saw everyone kind of split to talk to their group of friends. Which he found a bit annoying but in the long run if this bit of distraction of normalcy would help the group function in the long run then Boyd figured he could wait on the other members of the group. He was an outsider in the group going, he knew he was the odd man out because he never got close to people. He socialized with the other big three children and got along well with them but, he was not part of their group of close friends. He didn't mind but it seemed like the normal thing to happen to the children of Hades. Boyd found a spot back at the Hades table not to far away to sit on top of to watch everyone talk with one another. He couldn't help but feel a bit envious of some of the friendships formed. Boyd had been at camp since he was a young boy but still in all his time at camp he hadn't found a tight knit group of friends. He shrugged off the thought of events that never happened for he couldn't change that now. His intense blue eyes just watched the group and kept an ear out for when everyone decided the wanted to leave.

Camillia Tagged: Philomela
Camilla smiled at her friend when she was embraced into a hug which Camillia hugged her back. The history the two of them shared was beyond what normal demigods could believe. Of course when two people have been friends for over 2,000 years people become very close. When she spoke of the recruitment of the girl Camillia's dark eyes followed her friends gaze to the girl. Camillia studied the girl for a moment before she knew that the girl could never be a hunter. She surrounded herself with male companionship which was not a things a hunter would do and to ask a girl to give up her friends would be crazy. There would be other females though in camp that might be interested in becoming a hunter though so it would not be a loss. Camillia laughed along with Philomela, "Oh why yes I do indeed know you speech is from that time. I do not think I speak in the current way either. My goodness though could you imagine us though. Being like the younger generation, the shelter they receive now is like no other I have ever seen. I saw my first war before I was even 16 and even before then I endeared many hardships that no one has to face anymore. I guess our trials from the past hold us back from being up to date with the current. Frankly though I am glad I was given a strong backbone not like the noodle ones we seem to encounter now." Camillia laughed at her jokes when she spoke wrapping an arm around her friend for a short time before removing it. A smile was plastered across Camillia's face her soft features showing the opposite of what she was capable of in battle. People who didn't know Camillia might assume she was just a weaker hunter compared to the rest but in reality her power and strength came close to even Philomela's.

Feyre watched as the scene unfolded and glanced at Elias before speaking in a joking manner. "Good job Elias." While it was a bit funny, it clearly made Tabitha uncomfortable and from that point on it completely got rid of any humor there was. She let out a small sigh and turned to see Boyd walking away. Feyre's smile vanished and looked back at Elias and Jacob. "I'll be down at the stables for the time being. You'll find me there for when we are ready to depart." She rested one hand on the strap of her backpack that was slung over her shoulder before walking away.

It wasn't a long before she arrived at the stables and looked around for Helios. She easily spotted him among the other horses and gently led him out into the open. Feyre put on his saddle, blanket, and bridle and pulled herself up to sit on his back. Helios had been with her at her old farm house on the outskirts of Manhattan and went on the solo journey she went on when she was 10 to make it to the safe haven know as Camp Half-Blood. "Let's go Helios." The clydesdale horse strode towards the forest where a trail was hidden amongst the shrubbery.

Carpathia brought up the biggest issue with the entire quest immediately. It wasn't the impending doom, or the unknown demands, or even the monsters they'd face- it was the fact that they were all together. Looking beyond the petty details of a bunch of teens being together for an undisclosed period of time, they all radiated a scent of some sort, being demigods and all. A scent many monsters picked up. "Not to mention that we have a child of each of the Big Three. We're essentially asking to be discovered." Of course, the more powerful the godly parent, the more detectable they were. And despite all the spells he knew, Shane had yet to find one to mask the scent of a demigod. He shrugged. Maybe solace could be taken in the fact that Hecate was a lesser known goddess, leaving him to be a little less detectable, but then he had his friends to worry about. There was no way he was letting them go down.

C asked how he was feeling. Ah, yes, the classic question. One Shane had been asked for the days leading up to the quest, to which he always answered that he was ready to do what it takes. But now the day was upon him, and he wasn't sure how well he could fake a brave face. "I guess I've always joked about wanting to die," he mused sarcastically, "Though not sure how I'm feeling about getting the chance." He finished off one of his pancakes, then moving to push a strawberry around with his fork. He focused away from his friend's gaze, considering how he actually wanted to answer the question. "I'm prepared. Bag's packed, been doing extra training and studying." Still not emotions, but he was getting there. "The other quests I've been on haven't felt as grim." His formidable power, combined with a less detectable scent, often made him a prime choice for smaller quests. "I don't know." The last three words were merely muttered, and he pressed his lips together in thought.

But, that wasn't Shane. He shook his head, trying to break out of whatever feeling had overcome him. He couldn't afford to be thinking like that before the quest even started. "Should be interesting, being stuck with all of you. I'm interested to see just how quickly you get tired of me!" He laughed as she pushed fruit onto his plate, shaking his head. "You're lucky honeydew's a decent fruit. But if I eat it..." He plopped his other pancake onto her plate, content with himself. She would enjoy that pancake if it was the last thing he did. Then, as insects always seem to do, a bee landed in front of Aphrodite's daughter. Shane's initial instinct was to shoo it away, but he knew better. He watched in amusement as Carpathia interacted with the bee, feeling totally comfortable. "Queen of the bugs," he muttered with a laugh.

Dionysus smirked and raised an eyebrow at his son. "When you sacrifice food to a god, the food just appears." He answered his question then looked around. "Oh, by the way, I know it was you. Although that was quite the performance you put on, Boy." He said, clapping his son's shoulder. "Although I think your sister outdid you. She managed to make this very awkward."

Ryver laughed slightly at Tabitha's remark, entering the Hephaestus cabin. She leaned against the wall, not wanting to sit on anybody's bed and disturb anything they might have on there. With these kids, there could be metal on those beds from abandoned projects and she really didn't want a piece of metal stabbing her. "Whatever Elias said, wasn't true. He was just being his idiotic self and getting back at Jacob for laughing at the McDonald's comment. Probably for the dramatic comment, as well." She stated simply. "We were teasing him about it yesterday. Jacob never said anything about it." Elias was definitely a lot like his dad. He had a flare for the dramatics.

Jacob groaned, throwing his head back as he turned bright red again. "Of course you told her that." He muttered under his breath. He sighed and patted his friend's shoulder. "Payback for the dramatic comment?" Although, in his opinion, this event just solidified the fact that his best friend was, indeed, very dramatic. He clapped his hands together. "All right. Let's go round up the gang. We need to get going!" With that, he walked over to Shane, Carpathia, and Axel. "We're rounding up the gang and heading out. We need to get this over with." He then turned to Boyd and waved him over. "We just need to go get Feyre, Ryver, and Tabitha and we're set."

Philomela smiled when she returned the hug. "Yes, we're just two fuddy-duddies." She chuckled, her grey eyes scanning the dining pavilion. She noticed the counselors still hadn't left, which made her raise an eyebrow. They should've been heading out by now. She shrugged and returned her attention back to Camilla. Camilla was a sweetheart, but she definitely didn't want to be her rival on the battlefield. Her power almost matched hers, and she was born a goddess, was 2,000+ years older, and was the lieutenant. That's saying something. "So do we just want to sit here and talk our jaws off, or do you want to go do something?" To other people, Philomela was a cold-hearted, quiet person. But get her around Camilla or Artemis and she'll become the most animated person on the planet. She guessed that's what happens when you're around someone for so long.

"Send up a signal flare, why don't we?" Carpathia crunched away on another soft melon bit, elbows on the table like she knew there wasn't a single thing anyone could do about it. Not that anyone would, she took great pride in being the lioness of Aphrodite, the den-mother for the other children of the love goddess. She caught her youngest half-brother, a short, handsome ginger boy named Noah, staring and winked at him again. It was a game between the two, to see who would wink each time, and Carpathia usually beat him to it out of sheer readiness. He was a little forgetful, but as Carpathia put it, and elephant never forgot. "I don't worry so much about proximity as smell. If we could find a way to ward it off, that'd be great, but for we're broadcasting eau d'dieu."

Shane's avoiding the question told Pathia everything she needed to know, that he didn't like it any more than she did. She leaned on his shoulder in a subtle attempt to comfort him and watched the bee with an odd fondness. Bugs in general fascinated her, but bees were their own brand of amazing. She liked to think of herself as a worker bee, busting her hump to be fast and strong and all around everything a daughter of Aphrodite should be, atypical though she was. Their cabin was a hive, mostly women with a handful of brothers who they loved very much. Aphrodite was their queen, watching silently. Maybe that was why she always plucked them from the children's pool at the lifeguard job she'd landed years ago. They had more in common than most realized. "All life is sacred," the daughter of Aphrodite defended.

The pancake made Carpathia's nose wrinkle, the look only intensifying as she prodded it and noticed the syrup. "Oh, Shane, come on, I won't survive." As she poked at it again, arm tensing, her hair dipped into the melon juice just a tad, and she fished a hairband out of one of her pockets to tame the mane into a ponytail. "You have to eat more than just one, then."

Tabitha looked at Ryver and nodded. "I knew it probably wasn't him. But even if it was I wasn't mad. I just didn't know what to do and I hate feeling... stuff" she said softly. She never really got mad at people, and when she did those people learned a lesson.She shrugged "Plus Elias had been acting weird ever since we brought up his parents at the meeting" she said. The last time Elias talked about his parents he locked himself in his cabin for a while during the fall. But she knew that Elias knew everyone was looking up at him which meant he couldn't show his real feelings, which would tear at any person.

Elias smled slightly at his friend. "You'll thank me later because I'm keeping that promise" he teased but he was serious. He knew they would need some sort of comfort in the middle of the whole situation. And he knew Jacob had been freaking out about the death part of the prophecy since last year.

Dionysus raised an eyebrow. His son was... interesting. "Sticks? Um... Not sure. I don't think that's how that works, Dawson." He wondered what other questions this kid had. Maybe he could be a source of entertainment for himself for a while, seeing as he wouldn't be doing anything too important over the next week.

Ryver nodded, listening to Tabitha. Then her face went blank when Tabitha mentioned Elias's parents. "It's a... it's a tough subject for him. It's hard for him to talk about it." She sighed and looked down, messing with the hem of her jacket. She always felt guilty when these other demigods talked about their rough pasts. She had a fairly normal childhood, aside from the monster attacks and running away at 7 years old, of course. "Being a child of the Big Three is bad as it is. People look up to you. They expect you to be strong and brave. They expect you to show no weakness. They expect you to be fearless and you can't be seen being sad and vulnerable. But, with Elias being the child of the king of the gods..." She shook her head. She knew it weighed heavily on his shoulders. She felt it enough being the daughter of Poseidon. But she couldn't imagine if she were Zeus's. "On a lighter note, we should get going."

Jacob smiled and patted his friend's shoulder, snorting. "I'm sure, Sparky." He looked to the three other counselors in the dining pavilion. "Time to start rounding up and heading out. I wonder where Feyre went." He looked around, but didn't see the daughter of Athena anywhere near. He sighed. If they wanted to get to Vegas on time, they needed to leave ASAP. But everybody was scattered. Now they had to go on a witch hunt because everyone left. He waved Boyd, Carpathia, and Shane over, looking around and hoping everyone would gather soon.

The ride was short and it wasn’t long until they were back at the stables. Feyre hopped off, led Helios back inside, and said her final goodbyes. With a small frown on her face, she walked away and back towards the dining pavilion. While she was more than excited about going on her first quest, she hated leaving everyone behind, including Helios.

The dining pavilion came into view and she quickened her pace. The Daughter of Athena looked around and her eyes fell upon Jacob and Elias once more and in a couple of strides she was next to them. ”Ready to leave when you all are.”
