vampires, werewolves, hybrids, & humans
there is no antagonism between any of the supernatural species
ʜᴜᴍᴀɴs are just what you might expect in this world. they are just human.
no special powers or abilities, other than that lovable human tenacity and
determination. humans have learned how to be equal players in this world
of supernatural beings. they engage in gang warfare just as much, making
use of wooden and silver bullets and weapons. they never seem to feel out
of place, because they've always been around these other species. some
humans see the other species to be lesser, but it is generally something seen
as bigoted and primitive.

ᴠᴀᴍᴘs ;;
desc. vampires are immortal being who were
once human. they have a craving for blood,
human blood specifically. vampires can survive
on any blood, but fresh human blood will curb
their cravings best and make them stronger than
vampires who choose to exist on other sources -
animal, blood bags, wereblood.
abilities. vamps are psychically stronger than
humans, can move faster than is able to be
seen if they so choose, are very agile, and have
enhanced healing. they do not age, and are
immortal. heightened smell, can see in the dark
perfectly, slightly enhanced hearing.
weaknesses. wood, anything wooden will sting
and burn if it pierces their skin. they are
unaffected if they simply touch wood however.
they are disorientated by sunlight, it appears very
harsh on their eyes and if they go out, sunglasses
are a must. their skin will also feel very sensitive
in the light, and most vamps end up being nocturnal.
they are killed by a stake to the heart, decapitation,
or starvation. a vampire can easily go several days
without blood, after a week they will become weakened
and irritable, if two weeks or more pass they will
become aggressive and very vulnerable. if they go
more than a month without blood they can fall into
a coma of sorts, after that it can take anywhere
between a week and another month for them to die.
how to become one. humans need to be bitten which
leaves venom in their system - no harmful side affects,
it's just the trigger for turning - and takes approximately
24-48 hours to leave their system (phase one), if they are
killed while the venom is still in their system they will wake
up hours later and crave blood (phase two), if they feed
within 72 hours they will become a vampire (phase three).
other. vampires can feed on any blood, this includes
werewolves and hybrids. they have fangs - extended sharp
canines - which they can retract or show at will, when
presented with blood, or when very thirsty, the fangs will
appear uncontrollably. vamp venom can leaves weres
disorientated. vampires require the least sleep out
of all the species, only needing about three-four to
function perfectly.

ʜʏʀʙɪᴅs ;;
desc. hyrbids are a genetic mix between
vamps and weres. they will have different traits
depending on which parent they take after.
abilities. they will have enhanced strength,
speed, and healing, although not as much as
a pure vamp or were. depending on their
genes, they can be immortal or just age slowly.
hybrids who take after the wereparent may
be able to shift into a wolf and all will have
a degree of a partial shift.
weaknesses. they are not affected by
the moon or the sun, they can go ouside
during the day with no consequences
and the moon does not determine their
strength. neither wood nor silver burns
them if in contact. however, they can
be killed by either silver or wood to
the heart, and if they take after
their vamp-parent, will not be able to
last as long without sustenance. like
weres, they can die of starvation or
dehydration, as well as decapitation.
