Orion grinned as she watched Kodan pick himself up, holding back laughter. "Are you ok Kody? That looked like a nasty tumble." Reaching out her hand, the girl grasped at his wrist, gently tugging him along. "Lets try to get in the building without any bodily injury ok?" Readjusting her back pack, Orion's bright grey eyes twinkled in amusement. Between Kodan and Alejandra,Orion's friends were the only thing that made her school days semi bearable. She cringed to think about her first class of the day, Ecology and Interactions. It was a super basic class, Orion had already finished most of the preassigned homework.

Entering the building sent a chill down Orion's spine. She wasn't disliked, but a quiet, and rather nerdy girl like her wasn't exactly top crowd material. Even walking through the halls, Orion got plenty of stares- some admiration- and plenty more were the gawking stares of students who wondered why Orion bothered to still attend school.

'Thank god that class is finally over!' She thought to herself. The Criminal Science class is not all hard-work and misery as she makes it seem. They do many other things. They go on patrols around campus, get to take the drug dogs down the hallways, and other fun police-like duties. She just wasn't up for it at that moment. She was thankful that was her last class. Now, she can head home and set up for the huge party she had planned. The school year needed some excitement, and what better time while her father is out helping advancements in a new medical discovery? She pulled her phone out, swiping her password, and loading up her Instagram. Randomly snapping a picture of the floor, she posts on her story; "Party at my house. 7:00-4:00am. Who's coming? There was no school the next two days as she had discovered in her Criminal Science class. The government had actually assigned construction work to be done to our school building. Finally. She started walking down the stairs closer to the lunch room but instead of walking into the crowded room where teenagers and newly adults rampaged to receive their lunches and decided it was safest to visit her locker. Speedy fingers spun in the random digits on her locker dial. The door shot open and she held it with one hand to ensure the locker door wouldn't shut. She threw in her Criminal Science books into her locker and slammed the door shut.Her bookbag laid on her left shoulder and she grabbed it for something to fiddle with.

' Driving around town for no apparent reason? Check. ' He glanced out the window, watching the trees fly by. The pine needles drooped at the sight of another upcoming autumn season. He heard the phone in his cup holder ding and vibrate against the chilly plastic. He began steering with only his left hand, keeping one eye on the road as he pulls his phone up, reading the notification Alejandra Vega Posted; "Party at my house. 7:00-4:00am.Who's coming?" He smiled and let out a slight "yes!" He finally has a way to see her again. He pulls up to the stop light, quickly sending her a DM; You still live in the same house as before when we were young?

Kodan felt his phone vibrate, he unlocked his phone, he saw a notification from Alejandra, he clicked on the notification quickly to be taken to her Instagram post, he saw her post that said, "Party at my house. 7:00-4:00A.M. Who's coming? Kodan quickly commented his response, Ahh yes! Count me in! It's gonna get wild! Kodan locked his phone, he began walking to the cafeteria to get his lunch. Kodan picked out pizza and a juice. He walked over to an empty table, he pulled his phone out and scrolled through his Instagram, as he waited for his gang.

Orion practically leapt out of her seat as the lunch bell rang, hurrying to gather her things. Alejandra was throwing a party,
and, despite Orion not really being a party girl, she knew that she would have to be there for her friend. Padding down the hallway on silent footsteps, Orion snuck up behind her friend, giggling as she poked Alejandra in the side. "Hey there stranger. I'll be over at your house in a bit to help you set up...but um...could you help me find something to wear?" Gnawing on her lower lip, the delicate blonde fluttered her eyelashes playfully. "C'mon you know I'm hopeless at this party stuff. Pleaseeee."

Like Alejandra, Orion only had half days for classes, she normally spent the other half of the day studying with her Uncle, but he wouldn't mind her bailing out to a party- heck he might even throw a party of his own. Orion waited for her friend's answer, tugging anxiously on a lock of blonde hair. "Kodan kinda...asked me to go with him and... I don't know, I know it's only as friends but I still want to look nice." There was definitely a blush dusting the girl's cheeks at this point.

She listed to her speak about Kodan, shocked and confused."Woah. He asked you?"She laughed, knowing Orion would have fallen for the "just as friends" concept. "You have so much left to discover, sweetie." She wrapped an arm around her friend, who's the only friend she has the ability to reach their waist and they began walking towards the lunch room." "I can help you pick out an outfit. if..." She stops, smirking at Orion. You find me someone who can legally bring us something to help us have a fun time," she laughs, hoping Orion will understand what she was trying to say.

Orion laughed and nodded, slipping her arm around her friends waist- what a perk to having friends as short as you. Ale teasing her didn't bother Orion that much, it was just how their friendship worked. When Alejandra asked for a connection though, Orion almost laughed out loud. "Yeah I'll ask my Uncle. You know how laid back he is." It was true, Orion's uncle was basically still a teenager at heart, and he loved to spoil his niece. Grinning, Orion tilted her head, "Come on. Kodan is waiting at the table. Let's grab lunch and then bow out."

Weaving through the crowd was easy- half of the people ducked out of the way at the sight of the ever popular Alejandra, and Orion did well with slipping between the other groups- another perk of being so small in stature. Finally reaching the table, Orion slipped into a seat, breathing out a sigh of relief. "Hey Kody. How were classes so far?" Orion was one of the only people who knew Kody's tattoo, and that he just stayed in school to pass the time. Meanwhile everyone knew Orion's tattoo- it was kind of a hard one to hide.

Kodan looked up as Orion and Alejandra slid into the seats, "Hey you strangers, eh, they were sorta boring, glad to finally be at lunch, are you guys excited for the party? He took a bite of his pizza, then spoke again, "I honestly don't have an outfit for the party yet, I'll rush home pick it out, then go to your house Alejandra to help out, would you rather have me change at my house or your house?" Her phone was already blowing up with notifications. Every second, there was another ring. She slipped down into the lunch table bench, shaking her head 'no' to Kodan.
"Trust me, Everyone else has things covered," she pulled her phone out of her back pocket and turned the screen around to show Kodan all of the spam she had received. There were many comments and like. Over 300 likes to be precise. Comments were filled with Hell yeah!orI'll bring the booze. She turned the phone around to read them. All were from either former classmates, relatives, neighbors, except for one comment in particular. A name she hadn't heard of. Lucas Grey. She gave a confused look, reading his comment. 'How does he know me..?' she questioned, quickly loading his account to see the posts the account had made. And her mouth had dropped.

Orion rolled her eyes at Kodan's comment, a smile tugging at her lips. "Mr. Smooth is at it again. Any who, I just wanted to stop by and make sure we were all sorted for tonight. I have to bounce, Uncle is expecting me to help him with some sort of bio chemical experiment he has plotted out." Shooting a glance to Alejandra, Orion paused for a second, curiosity tugging at her gut. A second later, she shook it off, standing up- whatever was going on with Alejandra, she would probably tell Orion later. Better that than embarrass her by asking about it in the middle of a lunch room.

Glancing back to Kodan, Orion offered a warm smile, "Anyway. I'll see you tonight at the party." Tugging on her sleeve, Orion turned, disappearing into the crowd to head home. As she walked, the girl kept her sleeve pulled over her tattoo, a maelstrom of emotions fluttering around inside her chest.
