Kasey smirked at Elias before sheathing her sword and sitting down to watch Tae and Ryver. A moment later, Ryver was on the ground. Kasey blinked in surprise. Sure, she had known Tae had to be good, seeing that she was the daughter of Ares, but the ease with which she beat Ryver was still surprising. Kasey was rarely able to beat the daughter of Poseidon. Shrugging, the teen got up at the mention of food and followed Elias to the mess hall. She was starving, and she had really missed the food at Camp Half-Blood. She sat down at the Aphrodite table, grinning at her siblings and swapping gossip. She had missed this.

Thomas’ eyes shot open as his stomach growled loudly. Groaning, the son of Demeter got to his feet, blinking blearily as he ran his hand through his hair. He needed food. Resigning himself to the chatter of the mess hall, the teen made his way over, eventually collapsing onto the bench and giving a hesitant smile to his siblings before digging into his meal.

Ryver had barely touched her food before she felt full. She wasn't that hungry today. She had been thinking about a lot. She had had a lot of time to think over the last 9 months. she scraped the rest of her food in the hearth and wandered down to the lake, where she stuck her feet in. Another perk about being the daughter of Poseidon: her clothes never got wet. "Hi, Dad. The sea's very beautiful today." She said quietly, not expecting an answer. "Thank you, Ryver. I'm sorry I haven't reached out lately. It's been busy lately. The sea isn't the easiest thing to control when it makes up 75% of the earth. How was your first day with your friends back?" She laughed. "It was a good day. It's good to have everyone back. It's been lonely. Tae flipped me on my back. Thought I'd come here and just soak for a bit." The water shook like her dad was laughing, which she heard. "Don't strain yourself tomorrow." Even though they barely talked, he knew his daughter more than anybody. "I won't, Dad." The water caressed her hand that she had stuck in. "I have to go. We'll talk soon." She smiled. "Thanks for the talk."

Jacob looked around the dining hall. The camp had grown from 50 to 100 campers this summer, which was always a good thing. Better yet, nobody had died in coming here. That was always great news. He sat at his table and ate his dinner, drumming his fingers on the table when he was done. He connected his eyes with the son of Zeus and jerked his head, motioning to leave with him. He was gonna go cause mischief with his friend before everybody went to the bonfire. Or, maybe, they might just head to it. Hard to tell at that point. Although he did notice Ryver barely touched her food then left. He wondered what was up with her. He waved at Tabitha, a small smile on his face.

Venus smiled, happy that Ryver was optimistic about the fight. She saw her by the lake, seemingly talking to herself. Ryver was probably talking with Poseidon, so she’d decided to leave her alone. Venus finished half of her plate, before she decided to burn the rest of the food in the altar.

She did kind of envy Ryver for being able to talk to Poseidon so easily, there wasn’t exactly a way for her to do the same. Though Venus did feel closest to Athena when she was reading, or weaving. She took out an old tapestry she’d made when she was around six. It baffled her at first — she hadn’t even looked anything up, yet by some sort of weird instinct, she’d made it.

Tabitha looked at her plate. She hadn't touched her food at all, she sighed and saw movement at the corner of her eye and saw it was Jacob waving. She waved back a little avoiding eye contact. She was happy she had told Lilou about everything and she had also been so supportive! Lilou was right tho. In order to speak to her father and control her power she had to rid herself of the fear of fire. She needed to get her mind off of things. She walked almost jogging to her Cabin and got her crossbow. Shooting stuff would surely cheer her up. She went over to Lilou's cabin table. ]"I'll be in the woods" she said letting her friend know where she was off too. She looked over at Chiron, she would have to talk to him later and boy was he going to be mad.

Elias finished eating, god was he full. He got out of his seat and walked over to Jacob. He joked around with him. But Elias knew he was staring at someone else he turned around to see he was staring at Tabitha "She's in a mood, I said hi and she flicked me off" he added. Since he noticed how Tabitha waved back to Jacob but didn't actually say anything. Soon he saw Tabitha again.. with her crossbow "Run" he said teasingly looking at Jacob

Jacob snorted. "Nah. She won't hurt me." He watched her walk over to Lilou then walk out of the dining hall. He turned back to Elias with a smile on his face and his sunglasses back on, even though the sun had set. Like father, like son. "All right, dear friend, let's go. Let's get away from these girls before we are no mo'." He couldn't help but chuckle to himself after the lame rhyme, making fun of modern American culture. "But really. Where to? Wanna go straight to the bonfire and wait for everyone, go find out what everybody's deal is because they're even more moody than your dad, or go cause mischief?" He asked, waggling his eyebrows. Gods, he was lame and he was proud of it, even when thunder rumbled above, Zeus not liking what he had just said.

Tae trailed along with the group before reluctantly trailing off to one of the rowdiest tables in the entire hall, probably second only to the Hermes table. There were quite a few Ares kids as is, and the table was always a cacophony of roughhousing, just on the edge of constantly starting a foodfight. Grabbing her food and sacrificing one of her steaks to the pyre, she slid into a seat at the corner of the table, nodding hello to the few campers that spared her a glance before ducking into her food. Tae had a habit of wolfing down her meals, mostly because she needed to eat exhorbitant amounts to begin with to keep up with her active schedule, and so she didn't have to spend too much time sitting with her rowdy cabinmates. Mowing her way through steak and potatoes, she quickly finished and left the dining hall, intent on getting in a little bit of strength training before everyone trickled to the campfire. Which was also something that she wasn't particularily looking forward to; she didn't really know or understand any of the songs being sang, so she often found herself just awkwardly... sitting.

Elias looked up at the sky as the sound of thunder caught his ear. "Since he didn't like that we should probably just go cause trouble" He said as a smirk appeared on his face. He scanned around looking for something to do. "I mean we could go and find a sea slug and put it on Ryver's pillow, I'll gladly take the blame for it" He grinned. He couldn't think of anyone else to bother. Usually, he would re-arrange Tabitha's tools but he didn't want to get shot again.

Jacob grinned. "Mischief it is, then." He listened to Elias's suggestion and nodded. "After that, we could go hide the Aphrodite girls' makeup. That'll be the best." He liked the idea of causing mischief the more they talked about it. "We'll have to hurry about it, though. Ryver might be at the arena, so we have time to do that. But the Aphrodite girls..." He looked over at the table. "I don't know how long they're still gonna be here. They're probably complaining about the calories in their food or something." He shrugged.

There wasn’t much to do at the moment. Venus wasn’t exactly looking forward to the campfire sing-a-long, she felt it was a waste of time. She’d decided to scale the lava wall.

When you first saw it, you would think it’s a big, dangerous rock-climbing wall. Then you’d see the lava pour down and question who would be insane enough to think of this.

Venus had spent hours studying this wall, just standing in front of it and staring at it for at least two hours. And she’d found out that the lava just poured down randomly, anytime. Wasn’t an entire waste of time, though. Studying the other campers’ climb it, she’d found out the best way to avoid the lava. Halfway up the wall, the lava would always tilt either to the right or to the left due to the wall slightly curving, so you’d have to stay in the middle.

Venus grasped the first ledge and began.

Ryver sat at the bottom of the lake, her legs curled up to her chest. The water felt good on her back. She hadn't been injured too badly, but it didn't stop the water from making her feel rejuvenated and stronger. She knew she would go back to the bonfire a lot happier than she was, which would be an obvious 180. She didn't care, though. She loved spending time in the lake, watching the fish as they talked to her and swam around her, calling her my lady instead of by her name. She smiled at each one as they passed and she swore they smiled back. She shook her head and looked up at the surface. The sky was now completely black, stars littering it along the way, making up the constellations she knew were there. Even from under the water, she could hear the bell ring for the bonfire. Sighing, she pushed off of the sand at the bottom, reaching the surface and swimming to the edge. She got out and smiled at not having to wring out her hair like most people. Again, a perk. She headed towards the bonfire, looking for Jacob along the way.

Jacob had just finished hiding the last of the makeup when he heard the bell ring. He looked at Elias. "Well, we better get going. I don't want Chiron to catch us." Picking his sunglasses up off a table, he clipped them on his shirt and exited the Aphrodite, praying to the gods that he hadn't gotten caught. Seeing that nobody was around, he smirked and walked in the direction of the bonfire. When he got there, he saw Ryver already there, looking happier and stronger. She must've gone to the lake. He looked around, with a little hope that maybe, just maybe, Tabitha would change her mind.
