"Cold". Several rings sped away from his touch, escaping further and further until they dissapeared into the edges of the lake. It was still, and the doctor almost felt guilty for disturbing its peace. But he continued to glide his hand through the water, even if it was cold, even if the water continued running away. Standing up, he took a moment to stretch his legs, breath in the cold air and look at the sky. Blue, and empty. It spread a frown across the boys face as he turned away from the peaceful lake and the pleasant scenery. Camp wasn't that far away, he was just refilling water and washing himself - as he did most mornings. Ace had been travelling for a while now. Jumping on any wagon he could and then jumping off when he got bored. The group he was with now looked like it was going to be a long term deal. A princess and four impossibilities. He'd never expected to be talking with myths but he didn't question why he was there. He just let the world work... As he did everything else. Ace was just that kind of person, if something goes out of line then let it go out of line - he didn't like plans or set rules. Which is why characters like the green dragon and the princess confused him so much. Sticking to a code, sticking to their morals. Ace didn't like it.
Taking out the dagger in his belt he spent a moment to gather some wood. It didn't take long - the forest floor was littered with lifeless sticks and forgotten leaves. Slipping the bundle into his carrier bag, the boy played with his earring as he trudged along the forest floor towards camp. Just him and his thoughts. A few puddles lay nearby, reminding Ace of the rain yesterday evening. Rain meant nice mornings. He took a moment to look at himself through the blurred reflection of its surfaces. Check his teeth, his smile. He felt tired - even if he didn't look it. Too tired. Sighing into his cupped hands and moving on Ace wondered where the group was heading next. The princess would wake soon - he'd ask then. Despite his dislike of plans he couldn't drop his habit of knowing where everything was and what everyone was doing. Couldn't drop that controlling nature he so desperately hated. It was a habit from his youth - since he acted as the mother of the gang. As soon as he was old enough to start fixing broken arms he was checking the guys up and down, tending to weapons, doing extra research. Back before his eyes truly began to open. Before the massacre...

"Shut it." Ace hissed to himself. To the person inside his mind pressing the rewind button. Shaking his head as if he could brush the memories away the boy attempted to change gears. He clicked his fingers and cracked his neck. Loosening up his jaw he thought of whatever might make him calm again. One suprising image but it didn't matter what it was. As long as it worked. The camp was nearby and he didn't want to worry anyone.
      He paused.
Why didn't he want to worry anyone? It had been years since he'd cared about anyone. Biting his lip a little he shook his head once more and continued out into the clearing they called camp. Noone was there and Ace looked back at the sky. "Right..." He muttered to himself. "I live with a bunch of hybernating bears." Thinking about it, there were quite a few faces that could be up at that time but they were...Few. Taking another slow, dazed look around the empty camp - Ace decided to fall back asleep, rolled up in the makeshift blanket he was using. Still a few hours before breakfast. Just a few...

      "BEAR!!!"
Sleep. Bear. Two options were presented to the young doctor as his eyes flashed open in response to a rather loud shout. Bear - bad. Sleep good. Ace was sleeping among monsters - a bear or two wouldn't matter much. Unless the bear interuppted his sleep. Then there would be a problem. Ace blinked. And tried to make sense of the situation outside. He recognised the yellow dragons voice. It was hard not to hear her voice, that shout was so loud. Ace wanted to groan but he held it in and chose to instead roll out of the tent like a worm and stare at the situation in a half asleep daze. The look on Kalea's face was nothing short of glee. The look on the blue dragon behind her was nothing short of complete and utter confusion. Next was... His eyes fell onto the white dragons tent and he couldn't help a wide smirk.
"Having fun?" He sang from his cacoon.

      ALANNA THE PRINCESS
      ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
voice xXxmood tiredlocation the foresttags everyone
Sleeping inside a tent make for a nice change from the usual bed of leaves, grass or whatever other soft substance the group came across but it was couldn’t compete with her old bed. A large luxuriously furnished piece of wood work made of satin and the finest silks. Still; it was at least nice not to get wet when it rained. The darkness of night had gradually lulled the princess into a restless sleep. Visions of the past haunted her dreams like taunting demons sent to punish her for her weakness and cowardice. It had been weeks since her last dream and it terrified her that they would return now. Now, that she had found all the dragons and had all the means to reclaim her place on the throne. Seeing her father’s pain twisted face made her sick; it was like she was there in the castle all over again. The sounds, sight and smell was exactly the same. Seeing her fathers trusted soldiers turn on him and one another was the worst thing- the people she had grown up with, grown up trusting- loving would so quickly forget their loyalty. She stayed stationary in her nightmare for what felt like years and she was sure that when she woke she would have aged dramatically. Thankfully an astronomical amount of shouting tore through her dream like the sword through her father’s chest.

Shooting up from her spot on the ground she awoke just in time to see Seraph gliding through the tent doors as elegant as ever. Letting out a jittery breath of relief the red haired princess raised slender hand to her face and began to gently wipe her eyes on her sleeve. Sniffing quietly she gently laughed at the stupidity of crying over a dream. “Oh for goodness sake…” she muttered as she glanced around at the inside of the female tent, it appeared both the dragons were already up and that Nari had started to wake. Giving her eyes one last rub she clumsily got to her feet.

A warm yellow light caressed Alanna’s body as soon as she stepped forth from her tent and into the lush green world around her. As her eyes adjusted she noticed Kalea stood beside the boy’s tent grinning rather happily to herself. Frowning Alanna tilted her head to one side “What’s going on Kalea?” the sixteen year old asked as she began to smooth out her slightly ruffled clothes. It wasn’t exactly dignified living in the forest but something about it thrilled Alanna and yet she felt compelled to keep up appearances. Suddenly a rustling from the side caught her attention and she took a couple of steps back until she realised the figure to be Cal. Smiling gently she trotted over to where he stood with his catch. “Good morning Cal, beautiful morning.” Glancing down at the boar she blinks twice before smiling up at the older boy “wonderful job Cal” the princess praised the dragon with a warm voice before turning back to the rest of her alliance who were started to rise.

It was morning already and Livei had only just managed to fall asleep after he had spent the entire night being awake, thinking over the events that had happened in the past days. It hadn't been long since he started this new life, exchanging his life full of luxury for traveling along with the princess and the other dragons. From his large, soft and warm bed back in the village to a mere sleeping bag in a small, cold tent in the wilderness... It was certainly something the white dragon still needed time to get used to. And not only the sleeping bag, but the entire situation all together was just completely unfamiliar to him, especially since he was someone who had no knowledge whatsoever about the world outside of his own village.

It wasn't long after he finally managed to fall asleep, when all of a sudden the sensation of something hitting his face along a voice shouting "Bear!!!" out loud had the white dragon wide awake in an instant. Livei screamed at the top of his lungs as he did an attempt to stand up - but the sleeping bag surrounding him made him fail to do so and he fell sideways, into the wall of the tent, destroying it in the process. "Someone, help!!" he screamed out as he tried to free himself from the tent's sheets covering him. Once he managed to do so he looked around with fear in his eyes, that faded once a confused expression appeared on his face instead. "... Where is the bear?" he asked confused as he observed the area. He could see all his allies staring into his direction, but there wasn't a bear to be seen. His glance then fell on the yellow dragon who stood at the entrance of his tent, or, rather, where the entrance of his tent used to be, smiling mischievously. It was then that he finally realized who was behind it. "Kalea!!" he yelled in anger at the blonde girl, a red blush appearing on his cheeks from embarrassment. "Why did you have to do that?! Couldn't you just wake me up normally?" he spoke with the same angry tone as he got himself out of his sleeping bag and onto his feet, then stared at his tent that now had a tear in its sheets. "Look what you've done..." he muttered out and sighed.

Nari
Role: Body Guard
Location: Near haran
Tagged: Seraph
Brushing hair out of her face that had tumbled there during the night, Nari let out a quite yawn before getting out of her sleeping bag. Giving basic stretches to make her body stop being lethargic from sleep, Nari stepped out of the tent with a small smile on her face while trying not to wince as Livei made his point clear that he has not appreciate how he was woken up. While she understood that his wake up was unpleasant, to say the least, he shouldn't be so loud in his reaction. Her good ear was more sensitive to sound, so his earlier scream had made her cover her ears until he was finished.

As Livei finally settled down after his initial startle and looked at his tent, Nari felt sorry for the dragon since she couldn't exactly see the damage done though she could imagine with his arm that it had not been good. Scanning the camp without moving her head too much, Nari realized that her brother was the only one not in sight and decided that instead of going off to look for her older brother that it might do her good to socialize as the princess was doing with the green dragon. Since most of the group were engaged in trying to talk to Kalea in one way or another, Nari chose to talk to Seraph as the red head knew that the blue dragon probably wouldn't mind her. Walking to her side, Nari paused for a moment before widening her smile and greeted the girl who was the same age as her, "Good morning."

Her cheerfulness at this early in the day may seem strange to some, but Nari was just a morning person as she tended to wake up as the sun rose back before the change of rulers as she enjoyed practicing her swordplay before breakfast or any of her former lessons began.

xxxxxxxxxxxSeraph could hardly watch as all the sudden the tent budged and collapsed with the panicked shouts of Levei having a mini-heart attack within it. Kalea's prank surely paid off; everyone was on their feet, and the white dragon was vexed. Every prank came with a price, such as the fact that tent cover was ruined, but it was worth it if played right. There had been one or two times when Seraph witnessed a prank pulled by Kalea, and it was a new, thrilling, experience every time. Living as the blue dragon she never even knew such cruel --though satisfying-- jokes existed.

Ace was also definitely enjoying the scene. "Having fun?" he said. Seraph was also introduced to sarcasm, thanks to this strange bunch. These very diverse individuals she had known for only a short while, but it felt already as if they had become important people in her life. Seraph finally had a purpose rather than hiding away all these years. She had a thing or two to learn from each of them, and it was the closest to family Seraph had ever come to since she was a child. She didn't even realize that she was smiling.

Behind her, she turned to see the princess up and beaming. Through her limited mask-vision, she saw Caliban too, clearly back from a successful hunt. The body of a wild boar sitting at the edge of the clearing was more than enough for all of them. He had to be pretty tough to be able to kill and carry the prey all the way back to their camp. However, at the same time, Seraph remembered how considerate and gentle he was, especially when she met him and the others for the first time. The conflicting appearances merged to make Caliban, the green dragon. Each of the other dragons were fondly unique in there own way, such as he was, whether it was influenced by their dragon-blood or not.

"Good morning" said a joyful face beside her. Seraph turned her head and faced Nari, a red haired girl she knew one of the princess's guard. Somehow that smile of hers gave her a bit of energy. Her brother, Kuen, was currently no where to be seen. Seraph pulled her hair behind her and nimbly clipped it in place as she responded,
"Morning, Nari. I'm sorry you had to be awoken this way, Kalea must have been unamused this morning." She said calmly, gesturing to the commotion before her. Pondering on it, perhaps there was a way she could collect the supplies to help repair Levei's tent. No matter how much she wanted to let the dainty boy do it himself, it wasn't utterly his fault.
"Hm...do you think they'll mind if I visit that village east by the river? Haran?" She asked, both to herself and Nari for advice. There she could get material and perhaps something fresh to complement their morning meal. Looking conspicuous with blue hair and a mask was a thought that occurred to her, but she knew she could get by somehow without having to deal with many questions. It wasn't like everyone knew of her power, and 'blue dragon' was probably the last thing that would come to mind.

kalea

"the yellow dragon"

[age] one thousand twenty-three/eighteen [alliance] princess [ ability ] regeneration [location] near haran [ tagged ] everyone

Her cry having the desired effect in rousing the rest of the camp Kalea bit her lip trying to keep her laughter in as one by one people ran or crawled from their tents completely and utterly confused. Turning her head a fraction to see the blue dragon come stumbling towards her with a short sword in one hand mumbling her words as she was clearly still half asleep. Waiting silently as the blue dragon pieced together what happened all Kalea had to do was smile as Seraph let out a sigh and remained behind her clearly interested in the disaster before her. Unable to stop herself Kalea giggled hearing the shrieks of her brother as he woke up to a face full of grass, Ace's comment only fueling her laughter Kalea was entirely unprepared for Livei as he burst through his now ruined tent, cheeks burning with embarrassment and ready to blow a gasket. Shrieking playfully the yellow dragon noticed that, thankfully, Cal had returned with a sizable boar in tow "Eep! Sorry I couldn't resist!!" Kalea said giggling before darting from her spot only to appear clinging to Cal's back like the child many thought she was. Turning slightly to the princess Kalea beamed "Morning miss! Just having a little fun is all!" she explained clearly unfazed by the white dragon's anger. Though he was mad now Kalea knew that he wouldn't hate her forever, a little bonus of the dragons blood that connected the four of them; they would bicker but they could never truly hate each other. Blue eyes studying the shreds of fabric that had at one time been poor Livei's tent Kalea couldn't help but feel a little guilty, if Livei had shredded it on his own Kalea would've insisted that he fix it (with a little help of course) but this had technically been her fault and so it was only right that she fix the tent herself. "What if I give you mine....would that make you feel better?" she asked from the safety of Cal's shoulder, with her sewing skills (or lack thereof) it would probably take her a day or two to fix the gashes but what could a few nights under the stars possibly do to her?

maiara vass

"the advisor"

[age] twenty-three [alliance] usurper [ title ] lady [location] palace garden [ tagged ] open

As the sun began to creep over the castle walls and it's inhabitants began to stir one woman in particular was awoken by a loud thump. Jolted from her sleep it took Maiara a moment to realize exactly what happened and why she was not in her own bed. In her eagerness to deal with the complaints of several lords the young advisor had fallen asleep writing replies to some of their petty complaints. Wiping a hand across her cheek Maiara was horrified to find a black smear of ink on her fingers, looking down the source became clear as she picked up her last letter now useless as her face had smeared the last paragraph. Her shoulders stiff from sleeping at her desk Maiara stood slowly trying to rub the tightness out of her muscles and walked over to her small wash stand hoping that the cold water would wake her and get rid of the ink stain on her cheek. When was clean and changed Maiara felt much better, though her shoulders were still stiff, and was almost ready to face another day. Leaving her room behind Maiara passed through the halls bowing her head to everyone she passed as she made her way to the gardens. Years ago when her father had served as advisor to the previous king Maiara remembered joining him every morning as he took a walk through the gardens before settling down to work. At first Maiara hadn't understood why her father walked through the same gardens every morning but in later years when she began to share and even take over some of his duties she'd realized it was a way to clear the mind before the chaos of the day began. Breathing in fresh clean air Maiara felt herself relax as she strolled along the small gravel path, there was still so much to do, so many things to fix and yet in moments like this Maiara could almost see how the former king and his daughter could've thought all was right with the world.

    CALIBAN
      ( role: green dragon ) ( location: near haran ) ( tags: everyone )

I suppose I asked for this. Cal looked on at the scene that unfolded before him. He had not been gone that long but apparently it was long enough. Most everyone was awake by this point, awake and restless. Having no idea what occurred in his absence he could only watch. Seraph had busted out of the girl's tent, her hair a mess and her eyes full of confusion. The princess, on the other hand, strolled out blissfully oblivious. No matter how many times he saw her his amazement never faded. Her hair was the color of burning passion. Just by gazing upon it he felt invigorated. A small part of him wondered why that was so. The temple that raised him told him of the legend. He just didn't know how powerful the bond was. It didn't waver even after such a long time. The boy's tents were next to explode with chaos. Ace, looking rather tired, crept out of his tent. There was not a single alarm bell ringing in that boys head. In fact it looked like he could care less. What ever had happened obviously didn't matter to that boy in the least. Ace may have been younger than him but every time he saw the guy he felt like he was staring at war veteran. Not because Ace was a strong fighter. Simply because the look in his eyes was very hollow. If he had to put it in words he felt like their medic had seen and done enough for a life time. It was an almost sad feeling.

Where he grew up a lot of the elder monks had the same look in their eyes. He never particularity cared about it but sat in on many stories of the kingdom. The stories were always filled with strife and most times he thought they were exaggerating. Upon seeing the world for himself, albeit a small portion, he learned them to be true. In blunt terms he thought this kingdom was dead. The people he saw, the villages he went to, all were gripped by sadness. The land was dying, but the only one to blame would be its ruler. A lot of the monks bad-mouthed the previous king while he was still alive. Cal wondered if those back home were glad to have a new king. It was a hard thought to push away. Looking at the princess only made the thought worse. She was beautiful but that was it. There was no knowledge of the world and, while gentle, she was too kind. In spite of that, he wanted her to be happy. If that meant she had to be on the throne to do so then he would storm the castle himself. That part of him was so illogical. He was always wondering if those were his feelings or the dragon's. That was something that plagued him constantly. Surely the princess would grow up into a fine woman. Seeing how the kingdom really was had changed her. If they kept traveling like this then maybe, just maybe, she might turn into the leader this place so desperately needed.

Snapping back to reality he noticed the princess walk over to him. She was the first to notice his return. A smile across her face she greeted him. Instead of answering he kept his silence but was thankful for her words. She had quickly left his side and wandered over to the commotion. Levei, the white dragon, was screaming something about a bear. While still inside the tent Cal could clearly hear the boy's foolish shouts. Honestly, what am I going to do with him. Out of nowhere he heard a loud thud. The next thing he saw was the tent being torn asunder from the inside. Sighing deeply he made his way towards the chaos. It all centered around one—single—person. Kalea had done this. Her face was alight with amusement and he only had himself to blame. Of course she would do something as childish as this. Without another word the yellow dragon raced towards him. She jumped onto his back with such precision that he was impressed. Clearly she was using him as a shield from the angry Levei. "I thought I told you to wake them up. Making fools out of them wasn't included." He didn't even bother turning his head to look at her. Instead he reached up and firmly smacked her on the side of her head. Once again he sighed. At the very least she did her job. As he spoke Nari, one of the few people who stuck with the princess this whole time, stepped out of the tent. She also wasn't phased by the mayhem around them. It was rather odd to see her around without her brother right behind. At this point he thought they were a pair, never to be apart.

Seeing them like that made him wonder what exactly a family was. They were close, closer than any of them for sure. He silently wondered if it was a warm feeling. His past wasn't exactly the best. In fact some would call it tragic, but not him. He had found a place that accepted him. That alone was enough. These people too, they all accepted him without question. It indeed was a very warm feeling. Even if he didn't know how to describe it. It was either that or the giant heater now clinging to his back that was this hot. "Since you are also at fault, it is only right to help him fix it." With that out of the way he turned to look at Ace. The guy was all wrapped up like some kind of cocoon. "You want me to help with that?" Without even batting an eye he pointed towards the boar. There was no way Ace was dragging that around and he didn't want to force the boy to butcher it either. Since he brought it, it was only fair.

Nari
Role: Bodyguard
Location: Near Haran
Tagged: Seraph
The reply Seraph had given her had made Nari keep the smile on her face, and if it was even possible then the smile had grown spreading from almost ear to ear with her eyes closed, "To be honest, I was already somewhat awake though I just didn't have enough motivation to get out of bed. Livei gave me just what I was looking for although he could've been a little bit more loud about it, I don't think the citizens in Haran heard him clearly."

Sarcasm was something that she didn't usually use, preferring to bluntly state what she was feeling, but in this almost comfortable atmosphere Nari felt like she could loosen up. The truth of the matter was that Livei had been rather loud and would have drawn attention from outside parties if they were going through the forest, but the location where the group had decided to camp for the night was well off the beaten path and was hard to get too if you had an ordinary group. Their group was far from ordinary considering they had the dragon warriors, a princess, two bodyguards, and a survivor as their members. Taking note of their surroundings again, Nari knew that there was no easy way to sneak up on their camp too with the trees and local rock formations providing a decent natural defence around the camp.

Hearing Seraph's question, Nari bit her lip while closing her eyes wondering what sort of answer she should give to the blue dragon and carefully brushed the dagger that she kept strapped to her left inner forearm for some sort of comfort. The blade that she hid under her blouse had been a gift from her father shortly before he had left for his final battle and in times like these when she needed some sort of guidance, the dagger cleared her head to help her make decisions as if she had her father whispering something to calm her nerves in her ear as he had done when she was younger. Opening her eyes and releasing her bottom lip from the grip of her teeth, Nari looked at the blue dragon and gave her the opinion that she had come up with, "If you're going to grab something for breakfast and return in time for us to have it with our meal that will probably give you just under an hour." Pausing Nari gathered the remainder of her thoughts before pushing on with what she was telling Seraph, "While I don't mind too much, you'll have to ask someone else for their opinion because I am not very good at speaking for the group. Though if you do go into the village I think that at least your mask will draw some unneeded attention to you."

Nari hoped that she had given an answer that satisfied Seraph, she still wasn't used to the majority of the new group and was trying to become close friends with them though it was strange as she never really had all that many friends growing up.

Still watching with a smile plastered across his face he popped his arms out of his blanket and rubbed his face a little. The satisfying slap of meat hitting the floor turned his attention to the green dragons arrival. It seems the dragon had suddenly obtained a hankering for meat. A lot of meat. When Ace's eyes came to rest on Cal they met and the doctor raised an eyebrow. He didn't like it when people stared at him for too long. It made him feel like everyone could see through his smile. His farce. Especially the dragons. Their gazes sometimes made him feel bare and unprotected - as if they were ripping off his false layer and staring right into his scars. Often it put him on edge but right now Ace was too tired to feel vulnerable. Cal was a nice guy. Hard working and similar to many of the men and women Ace used to run with. Likeable to say the least and always faithful to his companions, he was like the big brother of the pack. He was a good person to have around and Ace respected the man a lot.

As Cal became a shield for Kalea, Ace turned onto his back and looked at the sky. The colour it held a few hours ago was a little more dull now that the sun had left the horizon. The sky looked lonely without any clouds. Lonely and infinite - for there was nothing to see in the endless empty sky. Just staring up at it made Ace feel like he could get lost in its limitless mass. The faint blue still left in there reminded him of the sea back home. Countless beaches littered the corners of Laven's borders. Illegal fishing was done there on a daily basis - so much so that a taste of the water would make you sick for weeks. So much that the beaches were overflowing with the grim corpses of fish and whales. Beautiful animals that were a spectacle to see, reduced to dead meat not even fit to eat. Ace hated the beaches - but he would always go there to think. After he was back on the streets, alone, he spent the days he wasn't working or stealing out on the beaches - sitting and thinking. Among rotting corpses and filthy seas he would forget about how dirty he might be, how hungry and how used he felt. He would just lie down, smile and cry. Lying there on the forest floor Ace almost wanted to be back on that beach. There was something empty about that beach that appealed to the boy. Something about its abandoned sands, desolated waters and decomposing bodies gave the boy a feeling of isolation he couldn't get anywhere else. In a twisted sort of way he liked it there. It puzzled Ace how he could even stand being in such an unhygenic place but the more he thought about himself the more he realised how he was built up upon contradictions. He hated order but he couldn't help thinking of plans. He hated crime but still stole as many pockets as he could to survive. He couldn't stand being dirty but was perfectly fine sitting inbetween mounds of corpses. He was torn and battered inside but a happy face outside. It felt like he was constantly at battle with the man he was and the man he wanted to be.
Maybe he did like the beaches. The sky was endless there too after all.

A familiar voice brought him back to reality. Cal, pointing at the boar and offering his help. That's right - food - Ace hadn't noticed how hungry he was. Stepping out of his cacoon he wondered over to the animal and attempted to lift its head. It was extremely heavy - strength was not one of the doctors good points. Though he had faith in the strength of his hands, he wasn't used to heavy lifting. He stood up and turned back to look at the green dragon. Flashing a smile he rubbed the back of his head,
"If you could help me move it? Just by the fire." Then he pulled out his knife, "Don't worry about the skinnin' though - I've had my fair share of deer." Doctors had to have strong and dexterous hands. While the studying was difficult, words won't keep wounds closed. Surgery required physical apptitude. A steady and strong hand that can both be delicate and firm when needed. While Ace could never reach anywhere near the dragons strength - his hands were enough to get him out of most scrapes. "It'll take a while though to skin the whole thing." Crouching down to poke at the animal he came to an answer, "Hour at most." Then he stood up once more to look at the sun still hiding behind the roof of trees. "If we don't eat everything we could dry it." Then he turned to look at the rest of the dragons - Kalea would probably vaccum anything they didn't eat up anyway.

xxxxxxxxxxxAfter Nari voiced her own opinion Seraph knew she had to just face the reality of it: Masks would always lead to suspicion, and even without it, Seraph would never be normal. It never bothered her, but the way it bothered others had made her just a tad self conscious about it over time. She had never known anything different, but she had to consider the fact that not all would be used to it like she was. Seraph looked down, and removed her mask. She couldn't go anywhere with her eyes in sight, for sure. If she had only an hour there wasn't time for a discussion. There must be some other way. Not just for this occasion, but many after that. She couldn't do much in a mask...

Then the girl lit up with a plan, tossing her fox mask to Nari.
"I've got it! I need a stick!" She whispered rather excitedly to herself. Nari can keep my mask for me, i'll just use something else and be someone less conspicuous, She thought, shuffling around the edge of the wood for a sturdy walking stick with her head low, maybe even waddling into a tree or or a thorny vine. If there was was thing that Seraph could get away with, it was acting. She had to improvise her way through plenty situations before, with the lack of anyone else's aid. Happily marching back to her tent with a stick she watched out for Levei and retrieved a wide piece of white linen wrap from Ace's tent and her cloak. Everything turned pale and hazy, but at least she could see a fair bit through it. Applying her dark cloak over her comfortable outfit consisting of a blouse, traveling pants tucked into boots, and a blue vest with dark borderlines, she walked back towards Nari.
"Now...no mask, no questions." She said, feeling rather confident of herself. Surely it will be less unnerving for the folk by the river. Not wishing to take up any more time dressing up, Seraph placed a light hand on the red-haired girl's shoulder
"Thanks Nari, you know where I am if anyone asks." She said before simply walking off towards Haran. Up in the branches she could see to well without the trees in her way. She saw fisherman at the shores of the river, children playing in the shallows. She could see the individual citizens walking down the road and business going down in the marketplace. She could see clearly for miles this way, and even beyond the village. It was in this way Seraph found her power to not only be a curse. Her navigation and tracking skills were by far exceeding the norms thanks to her eyes. The girl worked her way keenly through the undergrowth before following the main road, looking down at her feet and mocking a blind man by tapping her walking stick on the cobblestone in front in her path. She was raised in darkness, this was nothing more than a show. Lost in thought, Seraph believed only a quarter of an hour passed before the sound of voices grew louder, and she neared the bustling village. It had been a while since she heard so many voices, and she felt like nothing but a fluffy seed, casually floating along the breeze through the crowd of occupied people. It was easier than she first imagined.
