Rex silently groaned as he heard Ame's words of someone else being on the island. He wasn't really looking forward
to dealing with new people. But exploring the caves didn't seem like a bad idea.
"Sounds good to me!" He flashed Ame a toothy grin. Ame was probably the only one Rex liked to be around. They got along pretty well. She was never annoyed by his stupid pick up lines or jokes, & would always joke back. Ame had a "chill" personality which Rex liked. Rex glanced at the beach where Finus & Jayden were. He couldn't help but feel a slight tinge of jealousy, but then quickly looked away as he recognized the feeling. Why would I like someone like him? He's so damn bossy. Just forget it, Rex. You're better than this. He silently reminded himself. Hopefully, when they get back he'll have time to talk to Finus about his findings. Here it goes, Rex took in a deep breath before shifting into his jackal form. He despised being a jackal, it made him feel weak & disgusting. He was a human & not an animal... Well, he used to be a human. & his animal was so small, which had its ups & downs. Mostly downs though. Although his animal was very fast & agile, Rex hated being so weak. He would much rather fight in human form than in jackal form. Running away was a different story. Rex turned around & looked at Ame, trying to flash her the best jackal-smile he could manage.
Suddenly, Rex picked up an unfamiliar scent he had never noticed before. Strange. It smells like another human but no one I know of, he thought before shaking his head. He shouldn't let unimportant things like this bother him. He needed to do his task.

Oran finally saw a good sized chunk. Sadly, it was still floating in the salty water. Sighing and shaking his head, the boy turned back into a human, and waded out into the water. Once he was back on dry land, with the sea-weed clasped firmly in his hands, he shifted back into a Fennec Fox, and took the sea-weed in his mouth, dragging it back towards the small pile he had already collected.

Grayson listened attentively to her responses. He was glad to hear she would be joining him. Even if the girl was a stranger, it would be much safer. He also wasn't sure he could beat being on an island alone all night. The thought of being in complete darkness in a place he had never been before, and outside no less, was terrifying. Following after Zinnia, he caught up as she paused to speak. He agreed solemnly, "Yeah, let's hope." He murmurs. As the pair walked inland, the beach disappeared from view behind them and soon he was surrounded by forest foliage. While they walked, he made sure to stay alert to what was happening around them, his eyes scanning around. To help break the ice and pass the time, Gray decided to strike up some conversation. He was never one to stay silent for long anyway.

"If we can't find anyone else soon, we should start making some shelter for tonight and find a fresh water source." There was no telling how long they would be here. Of course, he didn't mention that, the situation was glum enough. Looking at Zinnia he asked,"Do you know how to start a fire?" He paused before continuing,"Because I am not nearly as outdoorsman like as waking up on a beach makes me look." He says jokingly, the ends of his lips curving in a smile. While the situation they were in was no joking matter, the only way he would be staying sane through all this was humor. Gray returned his gaze ahead. It was going to a long while before he was feeling alright, that was for sure. He moved over some underbrush, carefully navigating through it.

Well thank god im not the only thing stuck on this island. Atticus thought with a sigh of relief as she heard the stranger speak up. They seemed rather friendly, tired too.
"Hey." Atticus replied, staring at the other before turning back to the original person she was talking too.
"Where am I? And, uh, who are you?"
The suns heat was still miserably baring into her back, and she squirmed awkwardly due to the awkward tension.

A soft, almost unaudible groan passed her lips as she lay motionless on her back, her eyes firmly closed as she attempted to ignore the slight pain that was shooting through the left side of her skull. Slowly she lifted her hands and rubbed blindly at her eyes with her palms, attempting to stir herself even slightly awake but truthfully it was to no avail and the pain in her head only grew; the last thing she remembered was drinking with her sister, speaking of the little idiot where was she? Koda's eyes flew open and with them she took in the overhanging leaves, twisting branches and warm rays of light pooling down around her, she lifted an eyebrow and gave a slight tilt of her head as she considered her situation. "What the hell?" She was known for her cool, collected nature but this was too much even for her and so she rolled onto her belly, eyeing up what looked like a rainforest all around her, "Holy-" Before she could finish off her cursed slur her voice changed to a soft yowl and the arms that had been stretched out ahead of her were now covered with thick dappled fur, she turned to look back over her shoulder - her body now replaced with that of a cat. Oh okay.. she thought, giving a flick of her tail and immediately whipping around to catch it between her front paws, Wait. Wait hang on. The small feline leapt to attention, wobbling unsteadily on four legs as she attempted to not only gather her surroundings but also to try to understand what was happening to her, her body instinctively lurched forwards and sent her scrambling up a tree until she could balance cautiously on the lowest branch.

Her heart-rate was increasing rapidly and as she became more worked up her body quickly shifted and then shifted back again at least three times until she was back being a human again, clinging to the branch for dear life. "How much did you drink last night Koda?" she asked herself, licking her lips nervously as she looked around her, "I don't even live near a forest..? And where the hell is Pyro?" The sound of two approaching voices soon snapped to her attention and she quirked an eyebrow curiously, if there were other people around then they must know what was going on, right?

"Oh sorry, I'm Riley," she responded through another yawn. Then it was her turn to appear confused. "What do you mean? Haven't you guys been here for a few months?" Riley looked around: the sun slowly rising in its usual spot off the far coast; the same dense forest, still dark before the morning light could totally seep through the thick foliage; slim paths worn into the dirt where everyone grew accustom to trampling. Yep, definitely not lost.

Riley grew uneasy on her feet, knowing that as the morning started she should really be getting to fishing for breakfast. Or lunch, depending on how the fish are feeling this morning and at the thought of it Riley's stomach grumbled. However, It would be rude to just leave he other two here. "Look..." She started, "Good in the water at all? Getting a meal might be easier with more than one person, and it'd be really nice to something bring back to the camp."

xxxxxxxxShe smiled at the small canine, motioning for him to follow her. Ame carefully stepped into the water, the cold sensation spreading up her leg as she sank further in. It only occurred to her while she was in the water that there was most likely a better way over the river somewhere, but it was too late to turn back. The cold water came up to her waist. She wasn't happy with such, as she had never quite liked anything cold, but pushed forward. Wadding through the water was a lot more difficult in a wider river, she mused. Reaching the other side, she pulled herself onto the bank, her waterlogged clothes making it difficult. Looking back at Rex, she smiled, before calling back, "Your turn!"

Rex gave a small yelp & dived into the river. Suddenly, he felt like he was sinking. His face was just above the water. The water started overwhelming him, & he started struggling to keep his head above the water.
Rex furiously paddled with his small legs, but it didn't get him anywhere, the current was too strong for him.
Water started to fill his lungs & suddenly -
"I AM NEVER DOING THAT AGAIN." Rex sputtered. He was back in his human
form, soaked from head to toe. His butt was practically on the dirt under the water, & he almost drowned in this shallow river. Rex started to blush given the situation. Great. Another reason to hate being in my animal form, he thought. He couldn't help push out
the disgusting feeling that the animal was just another parasite infecting his body.
Rex slicked his wet dark hair before standing up as he slowly threaded through the river. He gave Ame an embarrassed look. He had almost drowned in this non-dangerous river, after all.

Ali sunk further into the bushes upon the sound of footsteps, bolting into the forest the first chance she got. There was no way she was sticking around there. She ran until her lungs burned... Which really wasn't more than a minute. It was times like these that Alice regretted choosing sciences over track. She wandered a bit further, eventually curling up at the base of a massive tree. She rested for a few moments, almost sleeping, but forced herself to carry on. Now abandoning her stick in favor of a larger branch that she could use as a staff, she carried on towards the distant sound of waves.

She stopped short on the forest's edge. There were people on the beach. It looked like they were leaving. "Wait!" She yelled, jogging across the sand, "Do you know what's going on here?" Alice realised belatedly that these two strangers could be just as dangerous as the leopard she'd seen earlier, but given them or the forest with all its mysteries, she'd take her chances here. She paused when she reached the boys, catching her breath. "Where the hell am I and why did I wake up here?"

An unfamiliar voice caught Rex's attention. He ran back across the river & stared at the 3 people at the distance. Who was the girl?
Rex turned around & beckoned for Ame to come & see. He squinted his eyes, what is a newcomer doing here? Is she here to save us???? A small spark of hope flared up inside of him, but was quickly distinguished when he realized that the girl was just as confused as everyone was. Maybe that's where the footprints came from? But something unsettled him. If the footprints did belong to her, then she had travelled a long way to get here. Did she know we were here the whole time? Rex was very curious & wanted all the answers to the questions, but he made no movement to approach them. His turned & looked at Ame, making a what is going on?? face.
