"Hey!" Rex laughed as he picked himself up & started following Finus. His tone was different, since he really didn't resent the older male."You're kinda cute when you're angry. I like it. maybe I should piss you off more often. " He joked as he wiped his hands on his jeans. Although Rex thought that Finus & his bossy ways were adorable, he wasn't going to let it show. Rex refused to let his feelings for Finus develop. It just couldn't happen. "You know what? I kinda like the name fungus. It fits you well. & Don't worry. You know me, I wouldn't want to start another fight." he smirked & gave a playful wink. Rex wasn't trying to piss him off, he was just joking around. His comment probably would earn him another handful of harsh scolding, but he didn't mind. It was easy for Rex to brush off any insults shot at him, he just never took any to heart. Even though Rex pissed everyone off, he didn't have a fiery temper. If he really wanted to get revenge, he would plan it all out. He would much rather watch someone suffer a slow death than a quick one. Ha.
Rex was silent as he listened to their feet hit the sand. It was calming, almost.

Rosalie stood in her elephant form in a spot big enough for her to stand without her grayish body to touch anything. She was almost completely comfortable in her animal form. The only thing still causing her trouble was her long trunk. Everyday she would practice grabbing things and carrying them. Right now she was working on picking up a pretty decent sized rock. A rock that she would never be able to pick up in her human form. Gently Rosalie moved her trunk down and wrapped her trunk around it. It took her a few seconds before she felt like she could pick it up. Slowly she lifted her trunk with the rock seemly snug in her trunk. 'YES! Okay... I can do this just got to move around and place it behind me.' Rosalie thought to herself as she slowly started to turn her very large body around. Her tusks very lightly grazed against a tree as she was turning her head. Now the rock was moving. She was losing her grip on it and soon it dropped from her truck. Rosalie tried to catch it but failed to and the rock made a "THUNK" when it hit the ground. 'DANT IT!" She yelled in her head. Rosalie made low grumbling noises that were actually very loud. She paced in the area for a moment before she called it quits. The elephant went to go through an opening that had obviously been made because trees lay were they had fallen. She made her way out onto the beach. Yes an elephant on the beach. She stayed along the edge of the trees. She would go closer to the water but her weight as an elephant would cause her to start sinking close to the water. She also didn't want to change back to her human form. She loved being an elephant. Nothing compared to it. Well if she could use her trunk better it would make it even better. She still continue to grumble in her low elephant talk. It could not be comprehended by people, to them it just sounded like a very deep and loud grumble.

xxxFinis didn't respond well to the other male's sudden laugh, the noise sounding very out of place for the current situation. "Is something funny?" he questioned, but did not want a reply. The man sent him a glare at what he said next, jaw locking in irritation, and also to refrain from saying anything he would regret. It wasn't what he had been expecting to hear.
xxxIn response to what Rex said, Fin extended his arm and shoved the other's shoulder with his elbow. It was hard enough to make a point, but not enough so to actually cause him to fall. Unless of course, he had very bad coordination. "Shut your mouth or piss off and make yourself useful." His words came out as an annoyed mutter, still not completely cooled off from their previous encounter. Although he had no negative encounters with Jayden prior, he was having second thoughts about the guy.
xxxFin shook his head once more, dismissing Rex's words as best as he could. His feet dragged through the sand, kicking it up in front of them. He walked diagonal, so that he was heading closer towards the shore, but still stayed clear of the water. "I didn't see you yesterday. Find anything useful?" He asked partially to take the attention away from himself and the irksome nickname he seemed to have just acquired, and partially to see if Rex had actually done anything the day before.

Riley took another step out of the foliage and into the open. A second set on footsteps slapping on the morning's damp sand had her spinning around to face a second girl. "I guess you guys found us first," Riley mumbled, still a little drowsy. She paused to yawn. The ocean waves beating the sand was the only sound in an uncomfortable silence before she continued, "You guys looking for something in particular?" They both gave off an awfully strong air of confusion. There was always a possibility of another group or two living on the island, however Riley's never ventured out too far. They knew a basic overview of their location though there was a lot of ground to cover and honestly, they were fine staying where they are now. How many of them? She absentmindedly wondered, because then she'd have to take in consideration more mouths to feed - a small pack or large? Hopefully not too big.

After a while Jayden decided he couldn't be pissed forever, after he had dried off he shifted into a human and made his way to Rex and Finus. With a sigh and his arms cross he approached them with his arms at his sides, "Rex,Finus I apologize for my previous actions, they were childish and disrespectful, I hope you two will forgive me." He spoke with little emotion but not necessarily in an annoyed way but in a regretful way. Jayden looked them both square in the eyes, he was the same size as Finus so he had to look down a tad to meet Rex's eye contact. He had and expression that showed enough that the apology was in fact real but no more.

Rex's gaze hardened to Finus's last question. Oh yeah... Rex had thought. He did find something. " Yeah, um. Finus?" Rex hesitated for a minute, he didn't know how Finus would react. Rex had wandered a little last night & found a strange set of footprints. He didn't recall any of his group members walking in that place before, & it seemed... Off. They were human footprints,
which was strange since many of his group members liked to wander their animal form, in case of any real danger. Even Rex himself liked to scavenge as a jackal, he didn't want to take any chances. Rex was afraid that he would get in trouble for wandering a little bit too far.
Rex opened his mouth to speak but suddenly he was cut short by Jay, which startled Rex. The male was in his human form & was apologizing to him & Finus. It wasn't the most sincere apology, but it sounded honest at least. "Hey," Rex shot him a crooked smile. "Nothing personal. It's fine." Rex spread his arms out in a it's alright manner. He wasn't going to hold a grudge against someone because of a hissy fit. Rex opened his mouth to speak to Finus again, but decided against it. It could wait. Suddenly, his eyes landed on a small leopard in the distance. Ame must be awake, he should probably get going.. Rex looked back at Jay & Finus. "well I gotta get going," Rex said with a shrug & started to leave. But after a few steps, he stopped & walked back to Finus. "Hey can you find me in a little bit? I've got something to show you. It's... Kinda important." He whispered into his ear before giving him a playful pat on the back. He knew it would make Finus wonder, but he could wait.

Rex then took off in a steady jog, catching up to his scavenger buddy.
"Hey cutie," Rex playfully winked at Ame. "Glad you're awake. Where we headed towards today?"

xxxxxxxxAme's ears perked up at the sound of approaching footsteps, as well as ones hurrying away. She could've followed them, as curious as she was, but someone was approaching her, and she believed that to be a more concerning matter. The scent was a familiar one - Rex, as she recognized it. She turned back into her human form, a grin on her face as he approached. "Hey, handsome." She answered back jokingly. "I'm thinking maybe we should cross this river," Ame paused for a moment, "and go see what we can find in the caves." She had explored much of the main island, but it wasn't often she headed across the main river. A good portion of that side of the island was still untouched by the likes of her, and she was all too ready to explore it. "Maybe someone's been to the island before, or got stranded here. If they were stranded, they had to have a place to stay, right? I'm hoping we can find something in a cave." Ame didn't really need to elaborate, but felt the need to do so anyway. She had nearly forgotten about the strange scent.

xxxHe returned his gaze over to Rex as the male spoke, lifting his eyebrows in question. Finis had been expecting to hear a simply 'no', so was surprised when he seemed to have something to explain. He waited for a second, then spoke up when the other did not. "What did you fi-" His words were quickly cut off when he heard soft footsteps in the sand behind them. He closed his mouth and stopped walking, turning to face whomever had approached them.
xxxAlthough he was surprised to find it was Jayden, this didn't show on his face. His words seemed forced to Fin, but not fake. He gave a slow nod to his apology, but said nothing as Rex responded first. Finis frowned when the male said he was leaving, but didn't protest. A confused look passed his features when he was whispered to, then gave Rex a hard look. "If it's important, then I should know now." he insisted, but the guy was already leaving towards Ame.
xxxFinis exhaled another aggravated sigh, but decided not to pursue it. It couldn't be anything too important if he was walking off before explaining. Although he hated not knowing any sort of information, he could find it out later. The man trusted him at least that much, so turned his attention back to Jayden and finally got back to his apology. "It's fine man, just..." he paused, lifting his hand to push back his now overgrown hair. His expression hardened slightly, but he kept his words anger free. "I don't appreciate personal attacks directed towards anyone, so try not to have it happen again."
xxxHe wasn't going to let himself hold a grudge for this, but he would remember it. For a moment, he looked back to Rex and Ame, now a human, and shrugged his shoulders. It was more a way to relax his tense body than anything. "I'm heading back towards the camp. You coming?" He questioned, eyes returning to male by his side. Finis took a few steps in that direction, then paused and looked back to him, awaiting a reply.

Jayden gave a slight shrug then raised his eye brow at Rex, he still didn't like him but was directed by Finus to act 'kinder' "Yes sir" well theres nothing else to do he thought"I dont usually stay at camp but why not". Jayden began following the other male "Once again im sorry for my temper, I have been on edge since we got here and little things that remind me of my family kinda set me off..." Jayden slightly scratched the back of his neck with a slight frown. Why the hell am I telling him this? Like he would even believe me, let alone care... Damit why can't I like this guy go. he thought slightly getting angry with himself but soon calmed himself. He put his hands in his pockets to keep from doing anything he would regret, he kept his gaze at the ground. On the outside Jayden would seem like a tempered teen that hates everything and everyone but deep down he truly had a soft spot for Finus and he didn't know why!
