Aspen was spread across the one of many beds in the fighter's cabin. The blanket wrapped around her torso and her leg. Exposing some of her legs and arms. Her face basically face-planted into the pillow. Her lips parted to let a small snore escape, as she buried her self deeper into sleep. Aspen was the fighter that slept the morning away. She found it hard to get out of bed, and chose not to for a couple hours once in a while. But today was not one of those days when the girl's alarm blared to life, ringing loud and clear. A clear demand to wake the girl up from the glorious sleep that had its claw dug deep into Aspen's honeysuckle skin. A sharp intake of breath, and a slamming of a hand on plastic shut the darn blaring up. She raised her head slowly and looked around, blue eyes squinted slightly at her surroundings. She rubbed at her tired some eyes, and pushed her self up into sitting position. She quickly got up and grabbed a pair of deep blue skinny jeans that reached her stomach, and a crop white t-shirt that reached just where her shorts end. She pushed herself into the shower and started her day off right.
Once out of the shower, Aspen yanked on her clothes and blow dried her hair into brown beach waves. Deciding to leave it down she left the fighter's cabin to get coffee. She could literally hear the bitter beverage beckoning her with a slim dead finger. She got a whiff of it and picked up her pace. She shoved the door open, the coffee hitting her full on. She licked her lips greedily and went straight to the source. Her eyes finding Bastian, Cole, and Diane. As she passed Bastian, she patted him on the pack. "Good morning Alpha. Better have left me some coffee." She said softly as she rushed towards the pot. Snatching a mug she dumped the black liquid in to it up to the rim. Leaving it completely alone, she lifted the cup to her lips and took a sip. A hum of pleasure released from her lips. After a moment or two she turned to the other two. "Good morning Diane, good morning Cole." She said softly, flashing a smile at them.
Dragging her blue eyes over to Diane, Aspen studied her for a second. She really did respect the woman, and her carefree ways. Aspen wasn't as carefree as the woman, she was a little too emotional. She basically let her emotions run her life. Diane was simply calm and friendly. That was something Aspen wished to be, but never really was. She let out a silent sigh before she took another sip. She grabbed an orange and began to peel at it after she set her cup safely on a surface. Once peeled she slowly began to eat it, not really enjoyed the sour taste of the orange mixing with the black coffee. But dealt with the taste nonetheless.

pack: ember rank: hunter crush: n/a mate: nope! tagged: pretty much the entire pack
there was a dull silence in the air, one that was still and stiff in the huntresses room. it was utterly quiet for there was no sound of shuffling, movement or breathing. it was like the space was absolutely empty and foreign to human touch. the smog was still bleeding off the windows, and the frost of the wooden window seal was barely decaying away. it was cold in the room, and the pale blue and white colors in the bedroom added an almost arctic and winter feeling to the space.
there was the bed in the far end of the room, white and in a big bundle of a ball. twisted and knotted, sheets all over and a girl lying down with her butt sticking up in the air, her left hand hanging over the front edge of the bed. the heaving of the big cover almost resembled a sleeping bear covered in snow. her small feet stuck out, and as a small shrill of the shivers attacked her spine, her little toes curled and uncurled. paget rolled over, taking the covers with her. tucking in her feet, the small figure tried to curl herself into a ball once more. the cold atmosphere settled on her toes and she desperately tangled them in the sheets to toast them up once more. her hands grabbed on the white covers, tugging them closer to her and over her head just as her alarm started blaring. since paget had changed the alarm on her phone from EPIC POLICE SIRENS to SERENE BIRDS CHIRPING, the girly was not getting up quite as fast as she used to. "just a few more minutes mom...just a few." her voice croaked out, throat dry and drool dried up on her mouth. when she realized that the alarm wasn't going to stop, she finally hauled herself up, the white cover over her head, her arms flailing desperately to find space.
dragging herself off her bed, paget ran to the restroom, yelling quietly the words "I'M NOT GONNA MAKE IT!" after her adventure in the restroom, the brown hair girl walked out wearing a winter outfit. her baby blue chunky sweater preventing her from feeling any cold air.
over exaggeratedly sashaying out her room, she walked down the hallway, her arms swinging too far back and forth. her hips moving side to side, not like a graceful swan, but more like a dying duck. hopping down each stair step, paget did the same ridiculous walk outside the hunters' cabin, into the pack house, and straight towards the kitchen. paget did the same ridiculous walk into the kitchen and paused, "guys," she said rather seriously, her face deadpan serious before she spoke again, "am i sexy yet?" slamming her back onto the door frame. the huntress hugged the wall, raising one eyebrow and winking her left eye a lot that ended up making her look like she was having a seizure. "i'm so sexy right? you don't have to answer that, i know. you're welcome, children. my number is 830-222- too hot for you" licking all over her lips, she left a gloss of saliva before wiping it off with the edge of her sleeve. continuing her way through the kitchen with her funky duck walk, paget pulled out a bowl and settled next to kegan.
pack: evergreen rank: beta crush: n/a mate: nope! tagged: pretty much the entire pack
in a lonely dark cabin was a man, a man who slept from the first couple hours of darkness, until the first rise of the sun. a man who valued privacy and knowledge more than anything, and then there was sleep. a moment that he used to regain his energy, gather up his wits once more to be ready for another day. he was a deep sleeper, his mind set on recovering from the day before. he was a monster, a bear that if poked with a stick, would wake up and eat you alive. he was comfortable in his nature, and green home. there was an entire room, the sunroom, which was full of different kinds of plants and vegetables. there was his study, loaded with books and green decorations. it had a very nature and wooden feeling. the only thing that wasn't loaded with nature was the kitchen, and even that had a set of shelves built into a wall with many vegetables growing in the pots.
those were the things he valued most in his life. so why was he getting mind linked in the middle of his sleep? he did not know and he wasn't sure he wanted to know.
alexei growled and rolled over, his eyes open as he stared at the ceiling with great regret. shoving off his grey covers, the beta shifted to the edge of the bed, resting his elbows on his knees and laying his face in the palm of his hands. using his fingers to get rid of the eye crusts and rug his face, the beta quickly responded to the mind link with a hint of aggression. i hope next time you have better etiquette and you wait until i'm actually awake. cutting off the mind link for the time being, alexei made his way into the restroom where he took his precious time to take a shower. after a long while, the beta walked out of the restroom wearing something a little more fancy than what he normally would. wasn't too over the top, but he liked to look good among others. some in the past didn't appreciate his style and pushed it around about him too much. in the end he had to...show them that respect was to be given to their higher ups. all that his pack members needed to know was that he...tweaked many old member's attitudes in the past with his own, err, well, methods.
striding down the stairs, the beta stopped at the sight of katalaina, a gentle sigh escaping his lips before he made his way to his kitchen. "good morning, katalaina. please, if you wish to keep me company, due inquire first the previous day so that i am not caught off guard. you wouldn't want to push me to do..crude things if you start being too disrespectful. and i wouldn't enjoy it." making himself a cup of warm coco, alexei leaned on the counter, scanning the girl up and down before continuing on, "i do appreciate your company, but a heads up doesn't hurt, katalaina." unlike others, he didn't give her nicknames.
pausing to the idea of ignoring his duties and doing what she considered fun, alexei smirk widely. "now, your views of fun are very different from mine. i've got a pretty good idea of what they are, too. i'm not busy, as far as i know, but i must check in with emery." walking towards her, the beta leaned in and whisper in her ear, grazing his fingers against her cheek "i'm sure there is always a next time, katalaina." his voice husky and hoarse from the morning, there was no emotion as he spoke. and although he was amused and interested, he didn't wish to show her his curiosity.

NOAH
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxa hunter for evergreen, tagged xavier near the fighter's cabinxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
If you were to tell Noah he would be waking up early, no matter how used to it he was it would be the same reaction. 'Ew.' It was the only word that actually was running through his tired mind right now in fact. As he silently let out the most softest cry he could muster, the hunter in the last sign of desperation ripped his earbuds right off as the alarm loudly blared in the open now, along with a muffed cry from the sleep ridden boy, his right hand wildly reaching out trying to catch the air-born buds that had somehow came out. He failed. As they bounced aimlessly on the floor, rolling under the bed Noah assumed he could only sit there wallowing in self-pity, a miserable look clod on his face as the bright orange hair was messily untamed in bed-head fashion. Thankfully it was still curled from last time's ordeal to get it like that. Getting up off the bed and walking, he could feel his cold feet sting at each step. At least he was finally up, right...? Grabbing clothes chosen the night before for him, Noah dug himself back under the covers, changing under there. A sign of complete laziness that was commonly found in the bright orange haired nineteen year old. After changing, Noah continued to lay there, after all why get up? He should reward himself for getting dressed. 'I deserved it.' He selfishly thought, a small smile peeking onto his face as he closed his eyes again.
And he wouldn't have gotten up if it wasn't for another alarm ringing out, making him hit himself with his own hand. Nice, that must have looked really, really attractive to anybody. 'Owch owch owch, nice going Nono.' Letting out a hiss from between clenched teeth, he shook his hand awake trying to compose himself with a few deep breaths. Turning off the alarm completely, Noah looked outside the curtain closed window. With a heavy final sigh of defeat, the hunter finally left his room. A large yawn escaped his lips, stretching as he walked lazily down the cabin's main room, exiting the building completely. It was a good thing he had worn a sweater, or he would have walked straight back in and lost all motivation to be productive for the day. He absolutely hated being cold, and it was a bad thing that he was extremely sensitive towards cold weather.
Walking through the rough grounds, he suddenly felt a rush of insecurities come into mind. They were daily, and always reminded him of all the bad things he had. And how he got rid of them? Bothering others, of course. Noah was extroverted, always ready to spark a chat with anyone nearby just to get his mind off of things. Even if they didn't seem to want to talk, he would do the talking for the both of them. He would even talk to himself for the heck of it. He could talk an ear off, if anything it was a wonder he hadn't gotten any signs for holidays that said Shut Up. Looking up from the ground, Noah glanced over to the cabin nearby him, the fighter's cabin. Would they let him? Or was anyone actually even awake? Noah was actually surprised he had managed to get up early this time around, and didn't know much about anyone else's early morning schedule. In his weird style of running, Noah arrived in front of the place, taking a peek in through the window seeing someone sitting at the table with a bowl. Eyes lighting up, he finally could talk. Jumping up and down now, Noah frantically waved his arms back and forth calling out Xavier's name. "Xavier! Xavier! You're awake, I'm awake! Let's go and be early risers together, yeah?" He excitedly said out loud, hoping that they would actually be able to hear him. Or that would be a pretty damn funny scene to watch. Some orange haired boy mouthing words that you couldn't hear, jumping up and down like he just saw something big go down. "I didn't have breakfast yet! And we should go to the pack room together later!" He continued.
Okay, plan out. This wasn't working for his ego or his reputation of being a near responsible adult. Stopping his frequent jumping up and down, he limited it to three per five seconds. Now that Noah was actually thinking about it, this wasn't the best way to approach people, and he wondered if Xavier was the type not to sugarcoat how stupid Noah must have looked doing that. In fact, Noah didn't even know if Xavier disliked him. Why did he have such good judgement, who knows. Still, he jumped even as he was thinking of actually using mind link to speak to them.
[ooc ugh pretty unsure with this, but i guess it's okay enough? i'll proofread it in a bit]

♕ KATALAINA MONROE
───────────────────────────────────────────────
[ rank ] fighter, evergreen[ location ] beta house [ tagged ] alexei, malia
the blonde was laying on the couch of her packs beta when she heard a voice inside her head. she was busy starring up at the roof and playing with a stand of her long naturally straight hair. it took for a moment to figure out who the voice belonged to but she soon put the pieces together, malia. malia was one of her good friends from the evergreen pack. when her dear friend mentioned her bugging the beta a grin appeared on her face before she answered back. how would you have ever guessed? she sat up the couch when she heard foot steps coming down the stairs. her grin reappeared on her pretty face as she looked the male up and down. asexei is looking extremely good today. no surprise there. she said to her friend through the mind link before getting up and making her way over to the male and grabbing his scarf one part in each hand. "you almost look as good as me." she said looking up at him with her baby blue eyes. "almost." she let of his article of clothing keeping the short distance between their two bodies.
she sat on his kitchen counter and watched as he started to make his hot chocolate. she would have asked for some herself, but she hated that drink with a passion. she found it disgusting. she raised a brow at him when he mentioned doing crude things to her and a devious smile appeared on the fighters face. "do as you wish, oh evil one." most would have been scared and wanted to leave the males presence when he started speaking of his unusual punishment but Kat Monroe seemed to almost be fearless. "you really expect me to make a schedule of when I'm going to come bug you?" she said laughing. "you know me better than that Asexei." and out came the nickname she gave the boy. she wasn't too sure if he would catch on but if did it would be quiet interesting, to say the least. she watched his eyes move up and down her body and a smile appeared on her face. she knew all to well this male liked to pretend he wasn't interested in her but when he did little things like this he gave his true intensions away.
she got a bit excited when he mentioned he wasn't busy today but it didn't last long when he said there was always next time. "I'm sure I can convince Bastian to give you the day off." it was no secret that katalaina had a way with words, she knew what to say to get what she wanted. she had a charming demeanor that most couldn't say no too. her heart started to beat quicker as the male got closer to her and whispered in her ear. her breath was taking away for a few seconds as he spoke, this was what the girl lived for. little moments like this. she looked at the male with a serious look but her eyes always gave everything away. she was the type of girl who could never take things serious even if she tried. "if you decide to not hang out with me, I can always go hang out with someone else, like perhaps the beta from the other pack." Katalaina got along easily with just about anyone so it was no surprise on how quickly she made friends from the other pack. she got down from the counter and looked at the male with a grin waiting for his response. "its more of your loss than mine. choose wisely, pretty boy."
✧ EMERY SHIELDS
───────────────────────────────────────────────
[ rank ] alpha, ember[ location ] pack house [ tagged ] atlas, madelyn
the alpha rolled his greenish blue eyes playfully at atlas remark. "haha, you got me." he said sarcastically. "but very clever." Emery had a very playful and childlike behavior, they were two of his best traits. he know how to take a job and hardly ever got angry. he had no idea how the girl kept up with all the online jokes and all of that but he was too tired to ask. he wouldn't be surprised if the whole pack could tell how worn out and sleep deprived he was. he tried his best to hide but some could see through his tough and well put other act like a book. he took another drink of the cold water trying to make himself up. he nodded in response when the beta of pack acknowledge what he said. he was expecting more of response than okay but he didn't feel like chewing out the beta at this very moment when he had more things to worry about, like not falling asleep in front of the whole pack.
when Madelyn spoke up saying she let the hunter know he nodded and rolled his eyes when she called him Mr. Sleepy. "I'm not even a little bit tired." he said with a grin on his face. Madelyn was one of the few people who could see right through him. part of him hated her for it but the other part of him loved it about her. it was a very complicated subject. he wasn't surprised when she placed two hands on his shoulder and pushed him toward the door. he knew better than to argue with her so he continued walking toward the exit of the pack house. "what part of I'm not tired did you got get?" he said walking out the door and waited for her to catch up so she could chose the direction they were going to walk. "and who said anything about a scary object? I'm not afraid of anything. I'm Iron man." he said with a grin on his face as he looked at her. "and Ironman isn't afraid of anything." he wasn't sure if that statement was true or not but he liked to believe it was.
he put his hood up on his jacket and put his hands in his pocket as she walked down the path beside Madelyn. "so miss Madelyn, why are you so concerned about me?" he asked curiously. he didn't bother looking at her. he just continued looking straight ahead at the beauty nature that surrounded them. he loved living out the forest. he enjoyed all the smells and views. he loved hearing the birds chirp, watching the leaves change color. there was only one thing he hated about living way out here, the insects. he hated them so much and would be perfectly fine if they all died. "is it because I'm cute?" he asked now looking at her with a playful smile and a raised eyebrow. "its okay if you want to admit it, I will only tell everyone." and out came the side of Emery that everyone loved. his playful and flirty attitude. even when he was sleep deprived and felt like he was going to pass out any moment he always had a smile on his face.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ( ❝ a d e l i e ❞ ) ━━━━━━━━━━━━━
[ healer of evergreen ] [tagged // In-ho, Bastian, Cole, and Diane] [where // in the pack room]
xxxx"I heard that" the girl muttered, looking up at the boy who was now kneeling next to her to tie her shoe. She reached up in an attempt to slap him (even though she knew it wouldn't hurt him very much), but soon discovered that her short arms couldn't reach him. Giving up, she dropped them back to her side. "I'll get you back later" she threatened, knowing that these were empty words. Within five minutes the matter would be dropped and she would instead have something else to be mad at him for. This was how their friendship was; it was confusing and messy, but it was lovely at the same time. Their friendship meant the world to her and she knew that if it ever ended, there would be a void in her chest; a devastating and irreplaceable gap.
xxxxBefore she realized what was happening, she was up in the boy's arms. "I can walk you know" she muttered, dragging her hand across his face just to bug him. However, no matter how much she complained, she made no effort to wiggle out of his grasp. Instead, she dug her head deep into his chest in a hopeful attempt to block out the blinding sun. "No" she said, sounding as if she had lost all faith. "It's been a horrible morning and I need help." She tried hard to keep her very serious face, however being around the boy instantly lightened her up. It was as if he worked just as well as caffeine and by the minute she felt herself feeling less like a zombie and more like herself. He had this effect on her and she hated to admit it. She relied on the boy too heavily and knew that such a thing was horrible for her. However, it was so addictive she couldn't help it. It was wonderful to have someone know you better than you knew yourself. For them to know your next thoughts before they had properly formed. Such a friendship demanded dependency and Adelie wasn't strong enough to refuse something so sweet.
xxxx"Hey, I am not that lazy" she countered once hearing his remark. She popped her head back up, staring once again at him. "I am perfectly capable of walking on my own. You're the one who lifted me up" she said, trying hard to refrain herself from smiling. "So if you ask me, you're the one who needs help. I mean yes, I may be a tad unfit, but you have it worse. You're so addicted to me you can't go five minutes in my presence without making a move on me." Once the girl realized what she said, her confidence had deflated and she felt herself going red. It wasn't as if her words were true, they both knew that, but the girl as so easily flustered a wink could send her running. So that's exactly what she did. She wiggled herself out of his arms and clumsily landed on the ground.
xxxx"Race you there" she called, already getting a much needed head start. "Loser has to make breakfast." She knew she was getting herself in trouble for she was outmatched. In-ho was a fighter and she was a healer. She didn't run unless she was being chased. Nonetheless, the raced forward, trying hard to come in first. However, she knew that the boy was catching up so in a ruthless effort to win, she picked up a dirt rock and threw it at him. She knew with her horrible aim there was no way she would actually hit her target. However, she knew she had to fake it to make it. "I'd hate to get your outfit dirty" she threatened, hoping that would scare him off. "By the way you look nice today" she called out casually since the thought was on her mind.
xxxxGiven the fact that she was talking while running, she quickly ran out of breath. She started to give up even though she saw the cabin in sight. She slowed down to a stop and took a second to catch her breath. "I need to exercise more" she stated, breathing hard. She looked to find the boy ahead of her and sighed. "I didn't even see you pass me" she muttered, making her way over to where he stood. "I'll make the food if you poor me coffee" she bargained, walking into the room. She was grateful that she at least knew how to cook a pretty decent meal. "Make the coffee taste like candy please." She looked in the room to see some other pack members there. "Hey guys" she called out, still trying desperately hard to catch her breath.

d e c l a n . w y n d h a m crush ;; -- → mate ;; -- → pack ;; ember → tagged ;; madelyn, paget___________________________________________________________________________________
Declan had a wild coughing fit after his laughing fit and nearly choking on the piece of apple. He turned his head and settled his grey eyes on Madelyn. The huntress was rather quiet, and always took responsibility first. Some people in the pack needed to learn how, the beta was one. He always made things playful and fun, so it typically took him 10 years longer to do something then someone else. He never really finished that book he wanted to right when he was 10. He went through a big creative stage in his life, and wanted to write a book. A book that he only wrote one word of. He simply just took his sweet time and had fun. He flashed a smile at Madelyn. "Oh darling, you can never get rid of me that fast. I'm here to stay." He whispered winking, before digging his teeth into the apple. The huntress was beautiful, with large brown eyes and curly brown hair. She usually kept it up in a pony tail, he would have to comment on her to leave down sometime.
The beta perked up when a familiar voice fluttered through the air. It was the one and only Paget, up to her tactics again. Currently her back was up against the door frame and her eye winking making it looked like a seizure. His grey eyes fluttered over the young woman, her outfit made for the cold weather that didn't really bother him. A smile pulled on his lips as the hunter went on how she was too sexy. A slow whistle came out of his mouth before almost shouting; "[color#000080]Sexy? More like gorgeous.[/color]" He smiled, his grey eyes watching the girls drastic entrance. Declan's demanding grey eyes watched the girl get herself some food and settle next to Kegan. A speck of jealous hinted inside of him, but he pushed away. The girl was simply beautiful, nothing more. So the jealous was nothing of his concern, he dug his teeth into the apple and let his eyes drift out the window. The beta has always been the jealous type, it always shown boldly in his personality. It showed when he was a little boy, and watched other kids get what he wanted. As a teenager when the other guys got girls that he wanted, because he wasn't the best looking teenager. Puberty definitely hit him after. And as an adult, jealous will rear it's ugly head and he would push it away and ignore it.
As Madelyn pushed Emery off somewhere, he was left with Atlas, Kegan, and Paget. His mind slowly running off to the patrol, wondering who to take. Only a few wolves would do, just a patrol. Just enough to keep each other's backs safe if something did happen. His eyes still wondering outside he quickly sent out a message through the pack link; okay sleepy birds; who's up for patrol this lovely morning?. He dug into his apple, and quickly finished it off. Chucking it in the trash, he began to guzzle his water down greedily. His eyes drifting to Paget slowly once he has finished the water and disposed of that as well. "You two up for patrol?" He said, his voice slightly cold, but not that noticeable. The boy didn't really like Kegan, but he had to get on patrol and get that over with. Simply as that.

Madelyn D. ☘ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
{ tagged ; emery--> 20 --> lead huntress --> outfit ''Stop blabbering and get out. '' she said with a small chuckle . There was really no hiding any emotions from her. She learned to read people's face expressions and gestures long ago and her pack? She knew them too well ,even if they managed to hide their emotions ,she'd eventually find out one way or another. She followed the alpha out with her eyes and exited herself ,before carefully closing the door behind . ''Oh,i got it all ,that doesn't mean I trust you tough.'' she sighed and caught up with him in a few steps. At the iron man thing, she pulled brow up and poked his upper chest. '''Iron man you say. Not afraid of anything you say.'' she said quietly, mostly to herself and thought about what to reply to this and soon enough ,a pretty decent reply formed in her creative mind. The huntress however didn't say anything else and just continued listening Emery instead. He was one annoying and extremely charming little thing. She would seriously lie if she said she didn't like him. Not this much because of his looks but because of his personality. He was stubborn ,just like her and even tough they had their small competition of who's the better mule from time to time, they were still getting along perfectly. And he was very determined as well ,nothing seemed to get on his way.
''Oh ,please ma'am. Don't get so flattered. '' she spoke as they walked down the beautiful path ,that thanks to the beautiful old trees looked like a tunnel ,completely made from the mother nature. Just like always ,her steps remained quiet and careful as if she was sneaking on her next pray. She was also a step or two ahead of him when she heard the words 'is it because i'm cute' Maddie stopped walking and took a deep breath before slowly turning to look at him. Her lips curved into a wolfy smile as she walked closer to the point their bodies were almost touching ,that's where she stopped tough. She wasn't alright with the touchy-feely kind of things. The huntress leaned closer to his ear as if she would whisper something to him . Less than a minute later ,she swiftly moved back ''I see you've gotten a shower ,that's good ma'am. Men like ladies who keep their hygiene on high level. I heard the alpha of evergreen is pretty hot, might want to check him out.'' she teased ,moving a few more steps back before leaning on one of the closer trees. Madelyn shoved her hands in the back pockets of her outfit and stared intently at the alpha for a minute. ''Sadly showers don't provide energy. Something that we all need to function properly. '' this sentence sounded and was pretty serious. Her voice changed and the smile fell off her face . She bit her lip gently and took her hands out of those pockets before placing them on the tree, behind her back.

sleep was uriah's favorite thing. but waking up? no. not his favorite. he lay spread across his bed like a moth with its wings open- his right arm hanging off of the mattress and slightly brushing against the floor as his arm swayed. his other arm buried under his pillows to support his head while he slept. a snore that sounded like he was choking escaped his lips as the familiar sound of his annoying alarm woke him. uriah groaned, shutting his alarm off before reluctantly getting dressed and ready for the day. he wore a plain and simple long-sleeved shirt and jeans, with a beanie to cover his hair that was abnormally wild-looking this morning. the male rubbed at his baggy eyes and let out a yawn after closing his bedroom door behind him.
sunrise crept through the windows of the cabin that housed his fellow fighters, which meant temporary blindness when he walked in front of an open window. uriah planned on heading to the main cabin for breakfast, (and by breakfast he meant like 2 cups of coffee because boy oh boy did he love his coffee. without it he'd probably always be sleeping) but decided to modify his plans once he passed his good friend carmen's room. he took a few steps back to her door and knocked twice. after waiting a few seconds for a response, uriah opened her door and barged in anyway. he was greeted by a sleeping fighter in a nearly pitch black room since carmen was intent on keeping her curtains shut 24/7. uriah made his way over to her bed and thwacked his pack member on the forehead. still no response. he thought with a huff.
he tried various small things trying to wake her up, (more thwacking, calling her name, shaking her shoulders, poking at that one ticklish spot at her side, etc.) but none of them worked. so, at his last resort, uriah flopped down on her mess of a bed and practically laid overtop of carmen. "psst," he whispered, lightly shaking the girl's arm "psssst, carmen. wake up!"

xxxxxxx➜ she was dreaming - having a particularly nice dream - when a sudden weight pressed down on her chest, and out of instinct, she wrapped her arms and legs around the weight and rolled whatever it was over. She looked down from her spot on his chest, to look Uri in the eyes. She should've known, this waking up thing happened almost daily now, since Carmen took too much Nyquil before bed and zonked until noon. She scowled down at him, her eyebrows furrowing, creating a wrinkle on her forehead. Her voice came out froggy when she spoke, from just waking up, but that didn't mean she wasn't going to complain to her best friend over waking her up. "Uriiiii - I was having the best dream and you woke me up. " she pouted and got off of him, pulling on a strand of his hair as she did, throwing open her black out curtains. She never really opened them, or told anyone why she kept her room so dark, but she didn't think it mattered.
walking over to her dresser, she peered inside, choosing a green and navy flannel and a pair of denim skinny jeans, slipping into the bathroom and changing before walking back into her room, throwing her pajamas in her wicker hamper. she tossed her dark hair and did her eyebrows and finished her makeup in record timing and turned swiftly on her heel to look at Uriah. "are you just gonna stay in my bed all day? I need some coffee." she was ready for that dark roast coffee that always gave uri the shakes, but she was just ready for some caffeine. "Get up lazy bones, I'm leaving without you." She ran her fingers through her hair and made her way to the open door, stretching out her back as she went.
Walking out the front door, she was greeted by the sun. shielding her eyes, she cursed herself for not grabbing her sunglasses, but as she peered forward, the main cabin wasn't too far infront of her and she was soon shielded by the building. Pulling open the door, she stepped inside and set off to find some coffee that was strong enough to actually fuel her dark soul.

Malia held back the chuckle that was bubbling up at her lips. Katalaina had used that nickname once again, and it always made the hunter chuckle inwardly to herself. She turned slightly to the side and let her head rest on one arm of the recliner where she sat and she let her legs hang over the other arm. Malia stared up at the ceiling and aimlessly fiddled with a small strand of her light brown hair as she spoke with Katalaina through thier mind link. Okay, I seriously dare you to call him that to his face. she said, a playful hint to her voice was heard. Malia inspected the strand on hair between her fingers and she silently noted that some of the thin hairs where light brown while the others were blonde. It was pointless, but what else did she have to do while she talked? She stayed silent for a few moments before she replied to her friends first statement, or question. I'm just a good guesser. she said smugly Well, either that or I'm sidekick. You really don't know which one to believe, I mean.. We're werewolves, anything could be possible. she thought. Suddenly her voice had gone quiet through the mind link.
Malia narrowed her eyes as she thought of those words that she had just thought up. They were completely true, before Malia had discovered that she was a supernatural being she never believed in silly stories of Bigfoot, the Loch Nes Monster, vampires, aliens... Werewolves. All those had been from scary stories you would tell your friends at a slumber party, or from television shows or cheesy romance movies. None of that was considered real in her mind. That was until one day she turned into a wolf. After that, everything became real. There were no fairytales anymore, they were stories of the past, just as you read in textbooks at school. Everything she had once belived to be fake, suddenly had the large possibility of being real.
Malia was snapped out of her cloud of thoughts when another voice snapped through the mind link, it was Madelyn, the lead hunter. The hunter from the ember pack sighed inwardly, knowing that the other female would be able to hear. She didn't really bother to stop it though. Alright, alright, I'm coming. she said through the mind link to her lead hunter. Malia then spoke to Katalaina I gotta go on a patrol, don't get into trouble. she said to Kat as she stood up from the recliner and made her way towards the rooms in the hunter's house. She looked around for Madelyn and when she didn't find her she walked out of the hunter's cabin and looked around to see if she was waiting outside for her. But yet again, Malia could not find her, nor anyone else for that matter. She ran her hand through her hair and turned around once more, her dark brown eyes still searching for Madelynn, "They left without me..." she murmured quietly to herself.
Malia let out a huff of air and went towards the house where she leaned against the wall and stared up at the sky. Her shoulders gave a small shrug and has decided that if she couldn't find them then she wouldn't go on the patrol. It's not like I wanted to go anyways.. Plus, how many people does she need to find herbs? she thought. Malia shoved her hands into her jean pockets as she gazed off into the distance and eventually zoned out.
