There used to be an old tale before
what happened. Before the sea had risen up,
and the moon had gotten closer; before the
skies had turned grey and the waves crashed
against the skyscrapers of the last remaining
cities.

This is the tale of the world and what it has
become. I don't know if we can survive, but
we are getting closer and closer to the end.
Earthquakes. Typhoons. Tsunamis. This...
This is a story about the end of the world.

This is a roleplay based off of a dream I had last Wednesday.
It was a sort of world in dystopia, (A state in which everything is bad).
Scientists have concluded that each year the moon is getting closer to Earth.
That brought chaos, and fighting between countries. The water from the sea
had started to rise, bringing devastation to under-sea-level communities.

Scientists had thought it would've stopped there; but it didn't. The water had
continued to rise, with floods, tsunamis, and typhoons. The weather patterns changed,
ranging from sunny days to stormy nights. Ships that would dare to cross paths with the
"New Ocean" were brought down, and would often sink carrying hundreds of passengers.

Now on, people have been fearing the ocean. The water had risen up enough that peninsulas
and islands have been swallowed by the raging sea. Thousands, if not millions, had been trapped
and often drowned trying to escape the water.

There are only three cities left by late 2108.
The local scientists had brought up trying to explore the new Earth, but many were not even
brave enough to cross paths with the water. They came up with a brand new idea, to risk
teenager's lives to explore and rescue people from the new sea.

Those teenagers were called the Seastormers, who would plunge into the ocean to rescue
and protect the city. They had their genetics edited so they could last long and speak underwater.
Lives were lost. Some people didn't like the idea, but other would.
It is controversial whether they should continue or not.

This roleplay is based on this dream, and this ruin of the world that I (somehow) managed to think of.

It will be set in one of these remaining cities, the most economical, Aanautica.

I would strongly suggest for making a character entry that you would use this lovely DollDivine creator by xSheepi to make your entry. I would also suggest normal tones of skin, normal ears, eyes, and mouths; and no mutations. Also, please use futuristic clothing. (So it can go along with the story)

Example (my character):

1. Please, no God Modding/Power Playing your character. It is no fun when your character cannot be hurt or wounded, but can hurt and wound others. This rule is one of my favorite important rules, and I'm kind of picky when it comes to this.

2. No Mary-Sues or Gary-Stu's. If you don't know what this means, it basically means that your character can't be perfect. Nobody is; especially in a dystopian roleplay. Let your character have at least two-to-four flaws. This makes the roleplay much more enjoyable, (trust me).

3. Please no bullying. everyone should get a chance to play, no matter who they are or what their character is like.

4. Include everybody please. If someone is trying to join in, do not ignore them. If they are new and have any questions, please try to answer them and let their part jump in.

5. Because this roleplay is in the Semi-lit/Lit category, I want to make this RP Semi-lit, so that means I would want at least 5-9+ sentences per post. Grammar and correct spelling is essential to me. Please follow this rule.

6. If someone asks for a recap, please give one.

Please keep in mind all of Tess' rules and the RP board rules apply here. You can find them here.

When you submit a character form, please include a preview of what size you're going to be typing. It doesn't need to be in this subject, just try your best to write.

This is the place for character forms. You can submit one, sort of, or like this:

Code: Select all
Character Image Here

Gender:

Age: ( preferably somewhere in their teens, unless they are a scientist or civilian )

Personality:

What Job do they serve?: ( Again, they can be a scientist, civilian, or a Seastormer )

Lover/Crush: ( you don't need one, but you can have one )

Do they have a special ability?: ( some Seastormers have genetic implants to communicate telepathically in the water or enhanced breathing. They can only use this once per two/three posts )

That's about it!
