━the summer away

you've always been friends since you were children; but haven't spoken in a few years.
your parents started to speak again recently, and they decided to cancel all your summer
plans for you to go on a trip to a huge cabin your families rented out. you might find love,
you might find hatred, no one really knows. what you do know is that it'll be the summer
of a life time.

      aemus
nickname: sae // age: nineteen // crush: nobody - role: rebel // mood: tired, annoyed
      ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

another day for this young, naive teenager that has a tendency to go against the rules. seamus was grateful that he gets to be out of the house, but he is dreading the fact he has to spend the whole summer with people he hasn't socialised with in ages.
the light shone through the thin fabric curtains that hang in seamus' dark coloured room. the alarm clock that comes from his phone booms in the young boys ears, causing him to groan. he stretched slightly, picking up his phone to turn the alarm off. rolling over onto his back, he shoved a pillow in front of his face and attempted to fall asleep again.
"oi, seamus. get up buddy, it's that trip today." a tall man stood in front of his door, standing at around 6'4. "are you packed?" the deep voice asked, letting his eyes skim around the room. after earning no reply from his stubborn son, he went over to his bed and yanked the pillow out of his strong grip. "one, you aren't packed. do that. second, go eat breakfast. we all know how grumpy you are without it. and third, go shower. you stink." the man stated, stepping out of seamus' man-cave.
"yeah, yeah, whatever." seamus stated, and slowly stood up. stretching once more, he knocked his glass in the process, and watched it smash into pieces on the floor. "oh for gods sake." he groaned in annoynace, and yelled his mums name to come clean it up while he showered.
grabbing a towel, he shut the bathroom door before his mum could yell at him and turned the shower on. after stepping into the lukewarm water, he let it soak up his skin and stood there for a good four minutes until he decided to shampoo and condition his hair. after doing that, he quickly rubbed his body in soap before getting out and wrapping the towel around his body. while brushing his teeth, he hastily combed through his hair with his fingers and dried up. he sprayed some deodorant and cologne over his body to at least make him smell good, that is one thing he cared about. walking back into his room, he noticed his mum cleaned up the glass and grumbled a thank you as she walked past the hallway.
closing his door, he changed into his black skinny jeans, a loose shirt and a flannel he randomly picked out from the wardrobe. he grabbed a small black bag from underneath his bed and began throwing some clothes inside. he didn't care about what he brought with him, he liked all his clothes so it didn't matter too much. swinging the bag over his shoulder, he jogged down the stairs and snatched the beanie that his younger brother was wearing. "that's mine, don't steal it." he bluntly said, with a straight face and walking into the kitchen. grabbing a pancake his mum made, he squirted some cream in his mouth and ate the pancake as it is. he grabbed a stool and plonked himself on it.
"honey, i'm going to ask of one thing, maybe two." his mother said as she came and sat by him. he cocked his eyebrow up, not saying a word and shoved the rest of his pancake in his mouth. "be nice. that's it. don't be mean, i don't want any phone calls from people saying you are being a right idiot." she sighed, remembering all the phone calls he received while in school. "and don't get in trouble!" his father spoke as he walked in the room. "whatever." the dark-haired boy replied, his voice laced with boredom. when annoyed, his english accent recently came out. he really didn't want to go on this trip, he can't stand people. "its about a two hour drive, and we've already programmed the address into your GPS. i'm being serious about this, sea. just be yourself." his mother smiled at him, while placing a hand on his shoulder. "being myself isn't the wisest thing to do, mum." seamus replied, standing up and grabbing his shoes from the corner of the open hallway. "if you're good, we might even buy you another bracelet to add to your collection on your arm there." his father grinned widely, pointing at the collection of four bands on the boys arm. "we'll see," seamus mumbled, and then picked up his bag. "i'm gonna go now. i uh, i guess i'll miss you guys." the boys cheeks tinted red the tiniest bit, and quickly shut the door before his parents could reply.
the air was quite warm, warm enough not to have a coat anyway, which is great because he never brought one with him. he got into his car and started up the engine, and grabbed a chocolate bar from the passenger seat. he smiled at the fact his little brother probably put all that junk food there, after all it was all of his brothers favourite kind of junk food. he chuckled at the thought of his brother, probably one of the only people that he can stand. he put in a random cd, and began driving (the cd turned out to be angels and airwaves).
after the long drive, going through two cds and about five chocolate bars, he pulled up to the large cabin. his eyebrows raising slightly, he shut the engine off and stepped out. he sat on the hood of his car, shocked at how nice this place actually is. "not bad, parents, not bad." he said quietly to himself, as he examined it from the outside.

//gahhh sorry for such a long post, i couldn't help myself c:. i also forgot to write, this place is somewhere based in america or smth i forgot to add that. i also forgot to add seamus' family is english xD//

Alexia Day | Honest | Post one

    Alexia Day
≾ eιgнтeen ≿────────────≾ нoneѕт ≿────────────≾ ғeмale ≿────────────≾ тagѕ: --≿
As her alarm went off, her eyes shot open as the sound scared her she sighed as it was only her alarm. She turned it off and got up remembering what day it was, she groaned and then rubbed her eyes before laying back down "five more minutes" she said to herself as she closed her eyes. But then her dog came in and jumped on her and then barked into her ear, that just made Alex jump up and Bailey fell off the bed. "Bailey i'm sorry you scared me" she told him and stroked him before giving him a hug, she then sighed and went into the bathroom. She had a long shower to wake herself up and made sure she was clean, then she brushed her teeth and went back into her bedroom and got changed into some clothes. Alex then dried her hair and put some make-up on before putting her hair and make-up stuff into her suitcase so she wouldn't forget about that.

Alexia was a bit annoyed that her parents had cancelled her plans for the summer, she was planning on going on holiday with her mates but now they had to go without her. At least she was getting a chance to go away for a little while but with old friends that she hasn't spoke to or seen in a while, she wondered if it was going to be awkward between them. She sighed gently as she packed her bag, making it all neat so she managed to get everything inside what she'll need but also packed things she might not need but wanted to take just encase. Alex tucked a strand of hair behind her ear then seen out of the corner of her eye her little brother, she looked towards him wondering why he was staring into her bedroom "can i come?!" he asked her with a smile. She giggled a little "you'll find it boring, there be no one your age there. You're better off here" she told him softly and then he huffed and walked off. She continued packing then went over to her dresser and sorted out her hair before grabbing her phone off the side and packing her charger into her handbag. Alex then went back over to her suitcase and zipped it up, although she had to put her weight on it as she struggled to close it but in the end it closed but looked like it would burst open. She huffed gently and then looked around her room making sure she had everything with her, she picked up her journal and slipped that into her handbag. "Right that should be everything..." she said to herself as she looked around her room.

Once she felt like she had everything, she pulled her suitcase off the bed and carried it down the stairs although she struggled with that a bit as it was heavy. Alex made it downstairs and her parents came over to her saying they were glad that she was doing this, she just nodded as she didn't really know how she felt about this, it was sort of mixed feelings. "Alright i better head off then..." she said to them before hugging her parents and her little brother and said goodbye to her loving dog, and gave him a hug as well. She then wheeled her suitcase out the house and to her car, she opened up the boot of the car and put her suitcase in before shutting it again then went to the drivers seat. Her parents were looking from the front door at her making sure she headed of safely, her dad called out to her "Make sure you ring or text us once you're there" and then Alex nodded to him and got into the car. She then started up the engine and put it in gear before putting the hand break down and drove out of the drive and headed to the cabin where she'll be meeting her old friends.

Alexia arrived after the two hour road trip by herself, listening to her music she was singing along to it as it played but once she arrived she had stopped singing as she was speechless about the cabin bloody hell that's huge... she thought, she hasn't seen one like it. She pulled up to the cabin and saw that someone was already here it begins.... she thought and huffed a little, she shut off her engine and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and made sure the hand break was on. She forgot to check once and her car had rolled back into someone else's her dad wasn't very happy about that one. Alexia got out the car and looked at the cabin from the outside but also wondered what it was going to be like on the inside. She hadn't seen any pictures of it or anything so this was all a surprise to her.

    ────────────────────( k a t )───────
tags;; alexia! relationship;; justin!! mood;; apprehensive, excited!!

Katherine's alarm buzzed beneath her pillow, waving the brunette from her reasonably peaceful sleep too suddenly. It took her a moment to let her eyes adjust to the sun light streaming through her window- clearly, her mother had opened the curtains before leaving for work-, but she was up quite quickly. First order of business was her calendar. It was hung up on the wall above her headboard, she'd made it herself, and it was meticulously set out so that she never missed a single appointment- written in glittery purple ink were the words 'trip!!!'. All too quickly, the wave of excitement that had almost kept her up all night returned and Kat practically raced for the shower, eager to get herself washed and ready for the trip ahead.

As Kat had laid out everything she would need to complete her morning routine, the process was seamless and shaved a few minutes off of her average time. The outfit she had picked out was cute and comfortable, and she kept her make-up simple, although made sure she still looked, well, hot. She liked looking nice, not to get attention, but because it gave her confidence and a sense of empowerment, something she had been known to lack. Her tousled hair was still damp from the shower, but smelt sweet from her shampoo, which she had just zipped into her toiletries back. After a triple check of her luggage, Kat headed for her door, snagging her clipboard from the kitchen counter as she passed by; if her friends thought that they were going to go on a trip with her without a rolecall at every necessary moment, then they were so wrong. Her Polaroid camera hung on a leather strap around her neck, ready to snap some photographs, as she had all her scrap booking supplies packed snugly in her bag. Some found Kat's little habits quirky, but they made her.

The journey was rather long, but made less tedious by stops to little gas stations for snacks&drinks, and the stack of CDs that occupied the passenger seat. With a little help from the monotone voice of her sat nav, Kat eventually made it to the cabin, and boy, did it take her breath away. Just as she was about to exit the car, Kat slumped back in her chair, twisting one of her rings around her finger- she hadn't seen most of her friends in a while, bar Justin, and the thought of spending so much time with them so soon made her both excited and terrified at the same time. Several minutes went by before she finally gathered up enough courage to get out, reassured by the thought that they were still her friends, and that her boyfriend would be there anyway; it'd be great to get some time away. Besides, she reasoned, if she wasn't there to keep people in line, anything could happen. Glancing over to the direction of a few noises, a somewhat shy smile played about Kat's glossed lips.

        "Alexia, hey."

ᴇʟɪᴢᴀʙᴇᴛʜ ᴅɪᴀɴᴇ ᴇᴠᴀɴs

liz awoke to the sound of morning birds outside her open window. she lie in bed for a moment, eyes still closed, and tried her hardest to predict what this summer would be like. she had packed just the night before, thankfully. stretching, liz climbed out of bed. it was still very early in the morning: the sun just barely peaked over the wilderness skyline.
almost immediately, liz rushed over to the windowsill and took a deep breath. The air smelled of late spring. she had plenty of time to get dressed and ready, yet anticipation ate at her mind. who wouldn't be excited for this?
now, granted, this summer wasn't exactly what she had planned in her mind. but, heeding to her parents' will, she decided that she'd make the best of it.
liz stepped into the lukewarm water in the tub and took a quick shower, shampooing her hair. she wasn't sure when she'd have another shower, so she rinsed her head and washed her hair again. groping for a towel after getting suds into her eyes, she wrapped and dried herself. she drew herself a smiley face in the clouded mirror. she brushed her hair and put on a little makeup, then brushed her teeth. walking back across the hall into her room, she reached for the outfit she had prepared the night before. slinging a backpack over her shoulder, she was sure to grab her earbuds as she left the room.
liz's parents were still asleep. she could hear their snoring in the next room. perhaps they had forgotten that today was the day she was leaving for three months. anyhow, she popped her head in their doorway with a smile. "i love you", she whispered. they did not stir. half of her wished they had heard her, had given her a kiss goodbye; yet at the same time, she hoped no one heard her.it was about time for liz to leave. she wrapped her car keys from the hook on the wall and quietly opened the front door, as to not disturb anyone still asleep. locking the door behind her, liz's stomach began to growl. she sure hoped she'd have time to grab something on the road.
once in her jeep, liz blasted herself some good ol' rock, a little bit of this, a little bit of that.

about three hours later, she pulled up to the address she was given. she could see the cabin from the driveway, and she parked her car near a few others. but before she headed towards the cabin, she turned around to the view opposite the driveway. she leaned back against her car, spending a few moments just taking it in.

Re: The shy ~ Rebecca Sunshine

Postby foolswhodream » Wed Feb 03, 2016 6:42 pm

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxREBECCA SUNSHINE
xxxx Age: Nineteen ~ location: Le Cabin ~ Tags: Elizabeth~ Relationship: What is that?
❂❂❂❂❂❂❂❂❂❂❂❂❂❂❂❂❂❂❂❂❂❂❂❂❂❂❂❂❂❂❂

xxxxRebecca was awake before her father even had the chance to wake her up. She stood in her kitchen swaying her hips slightly as she worked on making breakfast. Her headphones were on blocking any sounds or presence around her. The song of her choice was a simple waltz. It was a light song yet it matched exactly how she felt. She was not in the least happy with her father's decision on creating plans for her for the summer. By all means, she was nineteen years old. Surely she should be able to make decisions for herself. A frown came across her face and she began to whisk eggs in a bowl. I don't understand why he thinks I do not have any friends...I socialize just fine. The frown is still on her face as the song changes but she doesn't pay attention to the exact number. Just figure it was some kind of classical piece of some sort. That's what she mainly listened to though she usually had a wide range when it came to music taste. Her movie preferences, not so much. She stops whisking for a moment and adds pepper and salt to the raw eggs. I just don't talk...there is nothing wrong with that... As she pours the eggs into the hot pan on the stove her expressions shows she was worried. Rebecca knew her father meant well when making plans for her. But he could have at least asked her. She could tolerate the fact she was going into the mountains. She could not however tolerate that it was with her childhood friends. How was she supposed to spend a vacation with people she barely talked to anymore. Err well acknowledge was a better word to use since she hadn't verbally talked to a lot of people in a long time. In fact the last time she had even spoke words were with these old group of friends. She moves the eggs around in the pan beginning the process in creating scrambled eggs.

xxxxSuddenly however her world becomes more silent as someone removes the head phones from her ears. "I swear one of these day's you really are going to go deaf..." her father mumbles. Rebecca is sure to switch her frown into a small smile as a quiet laugh escapes her lips. Yes it was true, Rebecca was not deaf. In fact she could hear just fine. She just chose not to talk. Rebecca knew it drove her father crazy since they were the only two living together but... Not important.. As she continues to cook she watches her father move around the kitchen preparing to make coffee. "Big day ahead of you and you didn't even want to sleep in?" he asks her. Rebecca shook her head. She had always been an earlier riser. Waking up early helped her get things finished. Even though she didn't have much to do. Her father sits at their table now as he waits for coffee to brew. "I'm sure going to miss you though. It's going to be even more quiet around here." This makes her roll her eyes as she finishes up the eggs. She grabs to plates and begins to distribute the eggs onto them. "Really, what am I supposed to do with myself now. I'll go mad for sure." As Rebecca places the plate in front of him she sits in her usual spot which was the middle chair next to her fathers. The chair across from him had been empty for many years now. There on the table though she had her dry erase board. Rebecca pulled it closer to her and popped open the marker it came with. This was her only way of communicating. She had been considering sign language but her dad, would never be up to learning a new language. So she stuck with the board instead of speaking verbally. May I remind you, you are the one who is making me go. I hope you will be bored out of your mind while I'm gone. She gives him a playful smile. His eyes scan the white board and he lets out what sounds to be a mixture of a laugh and sigh. "Rebecca, it's for your own good. I will not have you cooped up here anymore. You're a young adult. You need to socialize with your peers." Rebecca erased the board with her hands and laughed, Peers. Dad, I haven't even acknowledged to them in years. This is going to be the most awkward trip to ever exist... Silent comes over the two and her dad stares at her intensely. From what Rebecca could read from his facial expression, he was worried. She didn't like to make him worried but she didn't like being pushed from her comfort zone. Rebecca liked her routine. Rebecca liked having her own room. Rebecca liked not having to be forced on sudden vacations with people she hadn't talked acknowledged to in years. Her dad looks down at the plate and in a slightly irritated voice says to her, "Eat, your food is getting cold." Rebecca sighs and begins to eat in silence with her father. This had been going on since he had told her about the trip. A short passive aggressive argument followed with silence. Rebecca wasn't bothered by it but she was thrilled about it.

xxxxAfter they had finished eating, she left to go finish packing. She had packed most of everything she would need. Dry erase board cleaner, clothes, markers, bathroom necessities, her chargers. Rebecca at times liked to bring out her video camera, but mainly she needed to keep her ipod charged at all times. She carried back up charged batteries for emergencies. Aside from the basics, Rebecca finished packing. The sun was up finally and the time where she would have to be. Rebecca caught a glimpse of herself in her mirror and sighed. She wasn't exactly primped and polished. She didn't wear makeup, since she hadn't bothered to learn how to apply it at all. She wore her pajama's still but she had an outfit planned out. Her father had forced her to go buy new clothes. Because apparently wearing over sized sweaters and sweats was not acceptable when reuniting with old friends. No matter however, Rebecca had chosen some clothes, most were just pants and solid t-shirts. Though the lady at the store convinced her to buy the outfit she had chosen. Except, instead of wearing the heels, she had a pair of black high top converse on. As her father took her bags to her car, Rebecca began to get ready. Her process was fairly simple and didn't take long to complete. Soon she looked liked a decent enough human being to emerge into the 'real world'. Rebecca sighed and went to the front of her house now. When she sees her father with the hood of her car open, she rolls her eyes. It had been about the third time in the past two days he had checked to see if everything was working wit her car. It wasn't exactly knew but it wasn't exactly a junker either. She clears her throat and he turns around with a smile. "Wow, my little girl is all grown up." Rebecca looks down at her outfit and raises a brow. It was colder than she thought it would be but she had faith it would grow warmer eventually. "Come on, give me a hug. I am your father and I deserve one." He walks towards her and wraps his arms around her. Rebecca hugs him back tightly now feeling a pang of panic as she was about to leave for what felt like the first time in forever (Not a frozen reference but still XD). "You'll be fine.. You're going to have a good time. You'll see.. You're mother would be proud you know.." Rebecca now smothered her face in his chest as he talks to her. She stays silent still not uttering a word. But that was the same as usual. She feels him give her a kiss on the top of her head and she takes a step back from the hug. She had tears in her eyes but she held the back for dear life. She didn't want to see everyone and have them think she was a mess. Because she wasn't one. Rebecca made sure of that. "The car is all ready to go, Send me letters, post cards, carrier pigeon, but texts would be better and prefered. Just let me know you are having a good time and that you are safe. Drive safe alright?" Her dad said as she walked to the drivers seat. She stopped for a moment and turned writing something on the dry erase board. Her father's smiles as she shows him and replies to her, "I love you too. Have fun sweet heart." She waves by and hops into the car and begins the long journey to the cabin.

xxxxShe wasn't going to lie finding the cabin was difficult and she got lost a few times, but nonetheless she made it. Just in time too since she saw everyone waiting by there cars. Dear lord, what has my dad gotten me into.. Yes, Rebecca was shy. But could you blame her? No one took interest in a mute or a girl who chose not to speak anymore. They usually either get totally freaked out by her when she pops up randomly, or forget she exists all together. Rebecca turns down her music she had playing in her car and bites her lip. I can do this... It's only for... how long was this trip again? Ugh, just get out. We are not sleeping in a car Rebecca.. Rebecca turns her car off and open the drivers door. She exists the car shuts the door behind her. The first one she sees out of the group was Elizabeth. She couldn't recall their last conversation but she still had memories of the girl. Rebecca took out her dry erase board once again and wrote down: Hey, pretty nice place huh? With a deep breath in she made her way and tapped the girls shoulder holding the board so she could see it.
