That’s how it all happened...
One day while sitting alone, bored out of your mind you heard a knock at the door. It was a weird knock. It wasn't a loud knock from a friend, a polite knock from a neighbor or salesperson. No, this knock was almost too quiet to hear. You, being bored and having nothing better to do walked over to the door and looked into the peep hole. You didn't see anyone so you opened the door to see a small black and red package. You picked it up and took it inside out of curiosity. That same curiosity that killed the cat was about to get you too.
You opened up the box to find a game, maybe it was a book, or a tape, or even a DVD, but what ever it was doesn't matter now, it was black with the words SOS written on it. Maybe you opened the book and started reading, maybe you put the disk or tape into a machine to play it, but what ever you did, you had nothing better to do. As is started up you knew that there was something weird about it.
It was as if you were dreaming, yet you didn't remember falling asleep, you saw a teen boy, he stood in heroic pose, then it changed, he looked terrified, at the bottom of the picture read: Death By Lucifer, he was soon followed by a teen girl in what looked like victorian era clothes, she seemed a bit more snobby first, but she ended the same way. A little girl being held by a gothic dressed teen boy was show next, he was hugging her close while they both cried, the bottom of the picture read: Death by Trolls. A young teen boy was shown next, he was signing in ASL to himself, listing off random words. His eyes widened and he got up to run as his cause of death appeared at the bottom as well: Death by downing. As the game loaded you saw more people, some who looked like they were from long ago and others who looked like they were from the future, there were also some that looked to be from your time, and each of them had a cause of death written in red words. All these people started out normal, their personalities showing, then they would looked scared, broken, or sad as they faded away and disappeared, their cause of death written at the bottom. Except for the last person to appear, a girl, she looked to be in her teen aged years. She was alone in a dark room; you couldn't see her face as she looked at the ground. She looked to be from feudal japan, her kimono was ripped and she seemed to cry as she held tightly onto what looked like a necklace of prayer beads. Right before the game loaded she looked up, her eyes widened as a look of shock crossed her face as she yelled, "RUN!"
That's when you blacked out.

Here you are now. You have just woken up in a weird world. You look around, the world is dark and over run with monsters, except for one village covered in light. You check yourself over to find out you have changed. You look like a character in a video game, complete with a cool outfit that matched your era and weapon. On your wrist is a counter with 3 bars and the word "lives." What will you do now? How will you escape? Thoughts run through your head at massive speeds. What will you do next? It’s up to you.
