Fire! Every blade of grass in the once green field that stood before him was ablaze. The air was so thick with smoke that the sky itself had vanished and there wasn't a single possible gulp of clear air available. Just as Luca had decided to that the struggle had become too much the ground under his feet fell away and he slipped into a vast darkness. Every one of his senses was gone, no sight, no sound, nothing to reach out and touch, all he knew was that he was falling and he could feel the ground approaching rapidly; his body began to shake and he was sure of his fate. Suddenly all of his senses rushed back to him and he bolted upright in bed nearly slamming his own head into the head of his roommate Kai. He took a cool deep breath taking a moment to realize that it had been a nightmare before turning his attention to Kai who was still standing next to his bed. "Sorry about that, thanks for the wake up call" he said while sliding out from underneath his covers. With the fire still burning in the back of his mind he walked over to his dresser and picked out his clothing that he had meticulously organized by color leaning towards something casual yet sharp. After a quick hot shower he stared into the mirror, his reflection glaring back at him with dark circles under dull eyes. He sighed and went about his normal routine until he was happy enough with the way he looked, then he headed back into the room to get his bag for the day. He had checked his bag the night before however before leaving for the dining hall he felt the need to check it and double check it once more to make sure it contained everything that he would need.

When Lori poked fun at her Nova couldn't help but laugh, the girl was certainly her best friend for a reason and there was no way she would ever let the girl forget it. She rolled her eyes as Lori checked her schedule, as hilarious and gorgeous as she was, the girl was a total ditz. Nova looked up at Jaydon in surprise as the edge of jealousy in his tone, that had taken her by surprise. She fished the scrap of paper out of her bag and slid it across the table to him, "Just those lads over there thinking they can get an older woman, I'm not going to keep it, but I don't have the heart to throw it away in front of them, not my style. she gave a small shrug and met his eyes meaningfully "Besides, I prefer an older man..." Jaydon was a year older than she and she only hoped that he would catch onto her flirtation, having his presence close by made her want to damn everything and just kiss him, she fluttered her eyelashes at him with a small smile. Her eyes flickered to his lips in a slight daydream before his question about Everly. Ah. She had a pretty good inkling why Everly had been distant with him recently, but she couldn't exactly spill the beans to him, that wouldn't be fair on the other girl. She thought the two of them should have equal chances and then whoever Jaydon chose, there would be no hard feelings. "Not sure, perhaps you should ask her? No better way of knowing than asking the girl herself I suppose..." she offered him a warm smile and her gaze slid over to Lori, hoping she had cottoned on to the little competition over Jaydon, but judging from the girl's playful smirk, she knew everything. Nova knew that this meant she was going to get a grilling that evening or later on at lunch but she was actually welcoming it. She wanted a chance to get everything about him off of her chest. She ran her fingers through her hair absent-mindedly and directed her own gaze over to Everly, hoping the girl was alright, perhaps she should go and have a chat with her as well.

Everly kept finding herself looking over at Nova, Lori and Jaydon she tried not to but she was just some what being protective over Jaydon for some reason, she couldn't help it. Her eyes kept flicking over towards them and then her book, she twiddled a strand of her hair in her fingers nervously as she kept looking. Stop it Everly, you're better than this leave them alone she thought and sighed but this was like torture she wanted to get it off her chest. She would just should 'Jaydon i love you' but of course she didn't have the guts to and probably embarrass him also it would make her a laughing stock of the whole school. Everly knew Lori and Nova were more pretty than she was, and she couldn't help that she wasn't and boys were just asking and giving their phone numbers whilst she sat over here alone and no one would have a glance at her, she felt some what invisible. The way they dressed was cute and her way was sort of boyish which may put guys off her. She looked at her book, and just shut it because she couldn't really focus on it since her head was all over the place. She thought she might need to get some fresh air to clean her head from all this negativity. So she got up and went towards the outdoors to the school grounds, she knew she was waiting for Briar in the dinning hall but she'll explain later to her why she left and hoped she would understand that she didn't ditch her.

Once she was outside, she took deep breaths and sat on a bench outside and just looked around the place. It was a rather nice day but quite cold damn this English weather she thought, she was use to the hot weather back in america with her parents she wondered what they'll be doing today. She looked around and looked at all the other school kinds that were outside just talking in groups, she sighed gently wondering if anyone would notice her and may come talk to her. But, she better make a move to class soon although she couldn't really be bothered for it this morning, she would rather ditch it and just walk around to clear her head she thought she might not be able to focus in class today. What was first anyway she thought then got out her schedule for today Maths... great she thought as she bit her lip and put it back into her bag and zipped it up, she then looked around again just taking in this nice day.

jaydon looked at nova noticing that she wasn't lying about the little incident. she looked at him with truthful eyes, and he
knew that she wouldn't do such thing as lie to him. he looked at her smirking after she stated that she liked older men, he
smiled over at her playfully telling her a little 'oh really?'. he looked at her lips as they moved before taring his gaze off
of them remembering that lori was sitting at their table as well. jaydon also thought about the valentines ball and how it got
cancelled, he heard different girls talking about it being a bummer since the principal called it off. he didn't even know if he
would actually go to such a thing as a ball, he didn't really like fancy things where he had to dress up. he shook the idea away
from his thoughts before returning to the topic of what the three of them were talking about. "yeah, i'll ask her what's going
on when i meet her at the stables later on in the day." he spoke before getting up from the table. "i should get going,
class starts in about," he carried on looking at his large golden watch that was on his wrist before continuing, "ten minutes,
and i still don't have my books. and i still don't know what class i've got." he chuckled before looking over at nova and lori.
"bye guys." he grinned before putting his hand on nova's shoulder giving it a gentle squeeze before walking out of the dinning hall.

as jaydon walked outside he spotted everly sitting on a bench, he walked over to her noticing that she was alone. "hey ev,
what's your first class?" he asked smiling over at everly. he was so eager to ask her why she was distant but he knew that
this wasn't the best place to talk about problems. he shook his thoughts away before asking, "may i sit?" shooting her a
one-million dollar smile. he wondered what was going on in her head when they talked together, he wanted to know her worry.

"Might not be your style, but it's certainly mine. Be right back," Lori got to her feet, leaving her bag at the table to show she'd soon return, and wandered over to perch on the edge of the table the younger boys were sat at, much to their surprise. Lori didn't even take the note with her, she had just wanted to get out of the way and watch from a distance how things played about between Nova and Jaydon- she'd felt a little awkward but also as if she might just yell at Jaydon for not just hurrying up already. No, Lori didn't waste time.
Finally, Jaydon got up and walked away, and with a little wave to the boys, Lori jumped back up and trotted over to Nova, the little smirk back to playing about her lips.
"Well, then. That was a little different, don't you think?" She batted her lashes innocently, which clashed with the smirk.

----------briar slowly awoke to the sound of pattering footsteps and the hushed chatting of students outside her dorm. she sighed and blinked a couple times, then realized that her alarm on her phone next to her had been going off like crazy. "oh my gosh!" briar exclaimed to herself, then immediately looked over to the other side of the room where her friend was nowhere in sight. she shook her head, but then recalled everly saying something about her meeting briar for breakfast at the breakfast hall. hopping off of her bed and heading to the bathroom, briar began to brush her teeth and floss them. she loved the feeling of the cold running water against her hands and her face as she washed them. after she wiped her face with a soft towel, briar applied some light mascara, which she never forgot to wear for her everyday makeup, then headed back to the bedroom where she threw on a lululemon zip-up and black leggings, slipping her feet into her favorite chestnut uggs. grabbing her books and her bag along with her iphone 6s, briar headed out of her room and began to search for everly.

----------as she closed the door behind her, briar looked to her left and to her right for the familiar face of her roommate, who was nowhere in sight. she walked down the narrow corridor lined with rooms on both sides of her while briar shrugged her backpack which was hanging off her right shoulder, filled with a bunch of textbooks and notebooks for her upcoming classes. briar didnt want to miss breakfast, since she knew it really was the most important meal of the day, and rushed to catch the breakfast window before they closed. the breakfast hall was filled with a variety of students, most of them beginning to get up and leave as class was going to start soon. sighing, briar didnt know if she should sit down and have a filling breakfast or grab a quick snack that would pass for breakfast and search for everly. with time passing by fast, she rushed over to one of the counters and suited herself with a bowl of oatmeal and an apple, carrying them over to a nearby table and setting them down there. she only had about ten minutes to finish eating and then make it to her first class, but briar didnt even think about missing class.

She was daydreaming about how she would tell Jay how, she felt but what could happen if she did she smiled a little as she had a happy thought about it but mostly it would be bad because it could cause a probably if she told how she felt about him as he probably doesn't feel the same way about her, he just sees her as a friend. But, then her daydreaming was cut short as Jaydon appeared in front of her, she raised a brow slight wondering why he came to see her. "Hey, i have maths..." she told him she was rubbish at maths it was her worst subject. She looked up at him as he asked her if he could sit, she smiled back but couldn't refuse that smile "of course you can Jay" she told him with a bit of excitement in her voice but then turned back to being quite shy and nervous which made her twiddle a strand of her hair in her fingers. Everly looked at him again with another smile "how have you been?" she asked to break the ice although it looked like he had something to tell her, but wasn't quite sure if she wanted to hear it. Thoughts kept going through her mind what it could be Was it about Nova and him? she wondered, she hadn't noticed that she was being distant from him, she wanted to give him space so he could be happy with Nova as she didn't want to get in the way of them both. She didn't want to be keeping him from her, as she might have ago at her for it, she thought she might know that Everly might have a crush on Jaydon so she tried her best to hide it by being distant from him. It could be working although it might seem like she was pushing him away, which she didn't want but it was the only way.

alex had started to eat in silence, the hunger pains in his stomach subsiding. opposite of asa, he ate more in the mornings and less in the afternoon and evening. due to this, he had always woken with a terrible hunger. at asa's reply, he grinned happily- it was Steller that his roommate seemed happy. breakfast was going to be over soon, symbolized by the students getting up and putting their dishes away. his first class was going to be his favorite- history. he excelled at it, being one of the best students in the class. unfortunately, he knew of nobody that was going to be in his first class- what a shame. "what's your first period?" he asked asa after taking a sip of his water.

With his heavy bag tossed over his shoulder Luca finally strode out of his room and toward the dining hall, he had no intentions of eating anything but he needed to make an appearance so that he wouldn't be questioned by the staff that he so carefully avoided; the fact that students had been disappearing didn't help the concern either. Sauntering carefully through the dining hall doors he grabbed a bottle of water and a green apple before taking a seat on his own. After quickly polishing the apple on his shirt he stuffed it into an empty pocket in his bag to save for his horse that was back in the stable and after a few sips of water and making eye contact with a professor he bounced up silently and stepped back through the door. When he made his way outside the crisp English air bit as his face as he glanced around and noticed Jaydon and Everly sitting on a bench so he nodded warmly in their direction. Jaydon's attitude both amused him and irritated him thought he wasn't quite sure why, ignoring their conversation he kept trotting away with impatience, annoyed by the fact that he didn't have enough time to see his horse before class. With the fear of being late to class he picked up his pace until he arrived outside the maths classroom, he had arrived long before any other student as he typically did so he sat down in the hallway with his back to the wall and took out his notes in order to get some last minute studying despite his intense study period that he had the night before.

As Jaydon left and gently squeezed her shoulder she felt a ripple of electricity roll down her spine. She smiled dreamily and gave him a little wave. When Lori returned and remarked on how Jaydon had acted differently towards her she blushed a deep scarlet and sighed. "I like him so much Lo, I don't know what to do about it, it seems like he's never going to make a move on me properly." she pouted a little, her hazel eyes rounding as she looked at her best friend. This was somewhat unusual for Nova, the girl didn't tend to get hung up on guys, but Jaydon. He was something out of this world, she would do anything to make him see how she felt for him. She looked at the sleek watch on her wrist and picked up her bag, seeing as the two of them had finished eating she stood and linked her arm through Lori's pulling the girl up beside her, this wasn't easy due to the height advantage that Lori possessed, but Nova made it work nevertheless. "Come on you, I'm pretty sure you have English with me, and we've only got another five or so minutes. Let's get a wriggle on!" she cheerfully marched on, her lovesick lament momentarily forgotten. She would worry about that later when she had time. "I'm pretty sure Alex is in this class tooooo..." Nova turned towards Lori as she walked, a wicked grin curving her lips. The moment she walked out of the dining room she picked the note with the boy's number on from her bag and tossed it into the nearest bin. Though she hadn't admitted it, she had also noticed the amount of girls watching Jaydon like hungry lionesses and so she wasn't going to let anything be her downfall when it came to her approach with him. She had a strong feeling that she could sway him, she was going to be the lioness to rule the hierarchy alongside that lion, and she was pretty sure whomever Lori chose would rule right alongside them. The two girls were the perfect material to be queen bees.
