xxxxx۵ Blaze loved people who were just as jacked up as she was. She didn't want to come off as judgmental, because in reality she's fairly reasonable with other's feelings and stories, however it's fairly obvious whenever somebody is a little messed with. The ones with drinking problems were her personal favorite, simply put it was because of her love of the precious liquid as well. The ginger didn't have too much of a problem, cause what outlaw has the time for that, and enjoyed taking these messed up fellows to the pub. Drunk people were overall hilarious, especially when you yourself were drunk. Messed up, indeed, yet what misery didn't love a little company? She didn't know why she was oddly attracted to the screwed up types, both male and female, but either way it made for a more interesting life. Her smile grew cocky as the boy before her spoke. His words felt, different when hitting her ears. For some freak reason Blaze wasn't letting man leave her side until he was physically pulled from her. Only a few words exchanged between the two, and she was already captivated by the handsome devil heh.
"How do you know that I will not kill you?" A light flow of laughter left her mouth as he settled behind her. The question did strike her as odd, however at the same time it was entirely to be expected. "I don't. It's all part of the fun," her grin grew and her chin turned towards the head of her horse as she fixed the reigns tightly within her grasp. Even if the beast knew her moves by heart, she still loved the feeling of control. As she circled the horse around, Blaze turned her cheek to the side to speak. "Even the worst of us need a little fun in our lives, eh? Hold on tight, big boy. We'll be having quite the ride together." She winked. Dear god, Blaze, do you have to make everything sexual? Uhm, yes. They were off moments after the stranger completed his command, and after two rounds of tight circles. She didn't really expect the man to wrap his arms around her in order for them to ride off into the metaphorical sunset, any physical action would surprise the outlaw. Of course the girl wouldn't mind a tad, considering she was all about the physicality in life. The touch of a man no matter the circumstance was desired by the lonely woman. Excluding abuse, that is. No man would be able to handle her fury if they so dared lay a hateful hand on her. Killing was not out of the question in that situation, and she'd definitely make them aware of that. Her confidence rolled in waves from her body, pride laced securely within. Blaze didn't flaunt her strength, simply because she was blinding unaware of it. Sometimes this sorry little laddy could be quite naive. It was all apart of her never ending charm. As her mare charged forward, racing at unbelievable speeds past the houses and trees, her face remained in a victorious grin. Of course the guards were still chasing the duo, but in her mind they were never able to catch her....... again.
Letting out a woop, she thrashed the reigns and the beast obeyed, making a sudden turn down a path nobody took. Nobody except our dear beloved ginger. It was slightly haunted in appearance, rejected by the locals as soon as the newer roads were established. This road was strictly for business purposes only. Since her only business involved robbing and outrunning the palace guards, she knew the bumps and stumps fairly well.
"Ahh what a lovely day to kick some palace arse! Nothin' like a little adrenaline to kick start the afternoon!" she called to the passenger. The sharp turns and deep crevasses in the road were enough for the untrained guards to quickly fall behind. You would think after a few runs they would eventually realize that this was her typical escape route. The Kingdom folk were just so stupid. It's not like they could help it, I mean just look whose running the whole thing.
Within minutes, the only hooves to the heard were that of her own equine. She turned off the road and slowed slightly, working her way through a slight bit of brush before emerging onto the main road once more. This time, further down, they were closer to her hut. Another weird little pathway later and the pairing were home. To her knowledge, it was the only place in the forest that the palace couldn't find her. It was well hidden for those who didn't know where to look, at least. She brought the beast to a stop and dismounted, staring at the man.
"I have ten dogs in the stable, or else I'd park us there. Seeing that your vision might not be twenty-twenty, I figured you didn't want a bunch of mutts around you, huh? So you can leave or stay for some tea. The choice is yours." She wasn't the best at this whole social thing. Offering him a drink was the most she was able to do, seeing that she didn't go hunting before returning to the dwelling. Taking a pack from the horse's saddle, Blaze grinned a little at the mysterious man before stepping towards the small, leaf-covered shack. Even though it appeared freakishly tiny, the majority of the home was underground. With a brow raised and obvious interest in her gaze, she waited his reply before moving any further.

Sunlight pours through the large bay windows and onto the sleeping body that is sprawled out across the bed. Outside the bedroom, footsteps are coming closer. Without knocking a servant strides into the room, presuming that the prince is still asleep. Now Adoniram wasn't lazy, mind you, he was just a. . .night person and preferred to stay up later and sleep in longer. "Your Highness...Prince Adoniram...please...wake up!" the servant says, all the while prodding the body of the sleeping prince."Ummmm......huh......oh its you, James. Just leave the tray on the table...thank-you." the boy says groggily, rubbing the sleep from his eyes and stretching. Obediently the servant sets the tray on the wooden desk and quickly exits the room. For while Adoniram had a friendly temperament, he could get very hostile in the mornings.

After the servant leaves and the door is closed, the boy slowly gets out of bed and walks over to the wardrobe. Shifting through the many clothes he finally finds what he's looking for. He snatches the shirt and pants and then moves behind the divider. He quickly slips the hunter green tunic over his head , which reaches to his knees and then slips into the tights.

Hey, we're talking about the days of old! So yeah, back then guys did wear tights. Don't judge.Back to our story.

After slipping on boots, Adoniram runs his hand through his hair and heads to the door. For some reason he keeps thinking he's forgetting something...oh yeah! Breakfast. Quickly grabbing a piece of toast he heads out the door and into the long hallway. His eyes slowly adjust to the slight dimness. While it wasn't pitch black in the hallway, it still could not compare with the brightness of his bedroom. He takes in the scene before him as his long strides carry him through the hallway. Servants dash in and out of rooms, fixing, serving, preparing, and whatever else they do. He stiffles a yawn and continues to eat his toast, wondering where his sister is as his keen eyes scan the hallway and adjoining rooms. Through the windows he can see the day come to life, as the sun slowly clears the trees across the large meadow. Wagons stir up dust along the road to the castle, carrying vegetables, meat, and all manners of things needed to keep a castle running. He now turns a corner, heading towards the courtyard and the stables. Today would be the perfect morning for a ride through the lush green forest. He could already feel the wind in his hair and the sun on his face, as he galloped his trusted steed across the fields. They would hardly seem to touch the ground, flying across the land as if they had wings on their feet. Oh the bliss of youth and strength.

Uh-oh. Up ahead was trouble, Evangeline and the head knight, apparently having a delightful chatter. Now he loved his sister dearly, but sometimes she could be a bit overbearing. She always seemed to want him around whenever she visited with the counsel. Which was beyond him since she ran the kingdom better than he ever could. Maybe he could slip by without them noticing. It shouldn't be too difficult considering the bustle of servants around them, but then again, Sir Braddock was the head knight and Adoniram was pretty sure not even a mouse entered or left the castle without his knowledge.

Chase raised an eyebrow slightly as he listened to the princess' words to him. Now, his keen observation skills were very useful for many things, such as picking up on other's emotions fairly easily. She wasn't doing anything wrong, but why was he getting the feeling that she was freaking out behind that lovely smile of hers? Being only a knight, however, he decided not to ask. His business did not involve knowing the business of the royal family, so long as it wasn't going to get them into any dangerous situations or deep trouble of any sort. From what he could tell, what the princess was doing wasn't going to get her into either of those. The knight nodded and continued to listen to what the princess was saying, now seeming to be talking about her brother in response to his comment about being on his way to check up on her and her brother.

When she finished speaking, he nodded and proceeded to reply to her her questions since she had answered all of his, including the ones he hadn't bothered to ask. "The patrols are good. Yes, they are running smoothly with nothing too exciting, which is always good news since it means there aren't any threats to the you and your family. We prefer to keep it that way." Yes, the less activity there was on the patrols, the better, despite the fact that it made things very boring. "I checked up on Jacob this morning. He's still recovering from the training accident, but he should be back to normal in a few days and will rejoin the patrol, so we'll have another set of eyes out on the border," he added, though a tad bit more quietly than the other statement. He wasn't sure the princess would be interested in the condition of a foolish young knight in training that injured himself because of a foolish mistake, but he told her anyway since it was really all he could think of to tell her that even had some distant relation to his patrols.

Shaking his head, Chase cleared his throat slightly and then said, "Well, no need for you to worry about that, your highness. As for your brother, I don't think I'll need to look very far or very long to find him." At that moment, he turned around and, just as he had suspected, he saw the young prince. "Good morning, Prince Adoniram. You seem to be off someplace in a hurry." It brought some amusement to him to think about it, but he felt like he should at least check up on the prince's plans before letting him just wander off. Allowing that always seemed to land the young prince in some sort of trouble, no matter how minor, if Chase could recall.

Forget about the fingers. // Zev | Three

    Postby famouslyNobody. » Sun Jan 24, 2016 7:50 pm

        EVERAN BAXTER
[nickname: zev // age: twenty-four // crush: "what is love? baby dont hurt me"] - [role: the pillager] - [tags: blaze]
        ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
I am on a horse. In his stupidly long lifespan, Zeveran had never once ridden a horse before in his life since the prospect of such ridiculous notions were simply that: ridiculous. He had legs. He did not have eyes. Hence, Zev was the kind of man who was overly satisfied with what he did have. And the idea that a giant hell beast was currently breathing and living between his legs was increasingly something he was not fond of. "Are you sure that these beasts are safe to ride?" The question as to whether or not this girl was a demon was becoming harder to distinguish the longer he felt her presence. So many humans road horses as if they depended solely on the creatures but Baz didn't even know what they truly looked like. He had no concept of what anything looked like and explaining things to the man was near impossible. How would you describe a horse to a man who had only seen vague shadows of the things around him since he'd been born?

Baz had once described a dog to him using words but until the younger Zeveran had actually gotten up the courage to touch the useless thing, he had no way to tell what sharp, fluffy, or jagged was supposed to 'look' like. And as soon as he'd brought his hands away, it was like his sight was taken from him all over again. Unfortunately, Baxter had ended up killing the dog later when it got bit by some forest predator and came back violent and out of its mind. That was the first time he'd seen what red looked like on his own hands and it was also the day he fell in love with the color. It stood out so perfectly against anything and he could see it every time he needed to just by killing somebody when ordered - that was something that Baz had promised him. He grasped a concept of what 'sharpness' looked like when he felt it cut into his flesh by a blade. Well obviously it had been one of the best ways to describe sharpness... until it wasn't.

"Baz. What does this plant look like?" Ten year old Zeveran had asked when Baz had come back from his routine trips to whoever the hell knows. Hell. Probably. "Its sharp boy. Dont tou- Zeveran! You dalcop!" Unfortunately, the sharp 'plant' that Zeveran had tried to get a feel of was a desert cactus from somewhere Zeveran had never gone to. It was too long a travel for the young and worthless demon but apparently, this cactus was vital for Baz's apothecary store. He was soon to find out that sharp was too vague a term. It was used to describe hair, facial features, voices, and apparently... desert plants. It was impossible for him to grasp a concept of what things really looked like without touching it which was perhaps why his hands were the most beat up feature on his person. And this stupid horse... he couldn't tell what it looked like from feeling it. He wondered if it had sharp teeth and glowing eyes. It was definitely large enough to imagine blade like teeth and smokey hair. When the monster ran, he saw the smoke following behind their necks and backside. It was intriguing and terrifying. Not to mention the noises they made. His house was close to a farm and the horses would keep him up at night, knowing that the giant creatures were restless when the stars came out. Its when he heard them the loudest. Or perhaps they were always that loud and night just allowed for their growls to carry. All of these perceptions stayed locked in his head the moment he tried to remember why he was riding one of the monsters in the first place.... Wait. How had she tamed this thing? No. Go back. You were literally heading in the right direction two seconds ago. What direction was tha-Oh... hello.

His heart leapt out of his chest when the demoness clambered up on top of her hellhound in front of him and the thing started moving. His feet should have been on the ground but instead of freaking out, he was trying to decide what to do with his hands. The man was far too close to falling off her horse and he didn't quite fancy the idea of grasping this thing's haunches to keep himself upright and stable. That was a horse pun. Baz would have made that pun. And I think he always expected me to laugh at them. I wonder if he knows I make those humorous quips even now. Where was Baz? He didn't know. But boy did he want too. He had no idea how he was going to get back home from wherever this loudmouthed demon was taking him. She definitely didn't act like one. There was too much emotion in her voice but maybe she was a different type of demon. Maybe she didn't come to this world to kill people. The fact that she wasn't going back to the main city did better to assure him, but his knife was feeling very unused lately and he was itching to fix that. He didn't know who to kill anymore without Sebastian Sallis, and whatever he did now was meant to keep him deathly preoccupied and busy. What did a mentally deficient blind man do on his free time?

      Not much.

What did you expect? He was mentally deficient. And partially blind.

You try living a decently normal and exciting life with that combination. Its hard.

But he sure as hell tried to the best of his abilities. It was kind of a shame when anybody who saw Zev would run away. It thrilled him to an irrational extent when he heard the names they'd come up for him. Zev the Daemonfiend. Redhand Baxter. Even Shadoweye had a ring to it even if it was insensitive to his feelings and disability in every sense of the word. That thought was ironic because he didn't feel anything other than physical pain or what he needed to feel according to the task Baz sent him on. If he needed to, the man could be charming, warmhearted, casual, or even a monster. But when no specific guise had been set up for him, he went simply as Zev. A straight face and a hollow voice. No emotion because those were ninety percent ill-advised. It felt weird to take a human's life with a smile on his face. He was a demon, not a sociopath. 'Sociopath' was a term reserved for humanity so he wouldn't smile when he worked. He wouldn't cry. He wouldn't scowl or screw up his lips in disgust. He would simply kill and take what needed to be taken. He had to feed himself and humanity needed to pay the price for what they'd done to demons like him and Sallis.

What is... blehhgh.. His mind was gone again as it always was and he didn't know when he'd ended up wrapping his arms around the demoness' waist in order to keep him from falling. Zeveran might have taken time to enjoy it, if not for her wonderfully red hair spoiling his mood when it got stuck in his face. He would have loved to tell the hair to behave like his own cleanly cut locks, but females did not like to listen to reason. Needless to say, he figured something as stupidly inanimate as hair would not obey either. Ignoring his problems, Zev heard the dogs far before she brought them up and what was left of his heart began to melt some at the idea. He had a weird fixation with the beasts but at the same time, feared everything about them. They were unpredictable and he never could tell when one was about to attack him. So, as much as wanted to run from them when they approached at a fast pace - he ended up embracing all dogs lovingly.

With a knife in the heart.

Every second was unbelievably heartwarming in those moments between him and mans' best friend. The city children tended not to think the same. He could tell by their sick laughter... maybe. Or they'd been was sobbing. Zev found it hard to tell the difference. Finally the horse was stopping and he snaked his arms away from the girl's waist, all too eagerly leaping off the massive creature when he could. "I did not like that but I could not voice my opinion on the matter. Your hair was in my mouth. Thank you for that," with a face so dang serious and straight, nobody outside his own head would have been able to tell if that had been dry humor or if he was just being disturbingly truthful. Baz would have known it was the latter for some odd reason. He was an excellent judge in character - even Baxter's limited one. "Please never let me ride your horse again. I like a grounded experience. And you are massively mistaken. I love dogs. And the mere minutes I spend with them are quite enjoyable. It is a shame that we always part on much different terms. But the affection is there, I can assure you. Hmm." he stopped talking and completely began to disregard the woman's presence like he had been doing for quite some time now. Yes. Even on the horse, she was pleasantly placed far from his mind. Obviously.

And now he was standing God knows where, with approximately three dismembered thumbs, three stolen hunks of ram, and a loaf of bread in the satchel he'd been carrying - all of which would look blurringly lovely on his dining table. Well. Most of it. He need to send those thumbs to certain people. Unfortunately, he reserved the vases for roses rather than fingers and his shackled guests tended to be quite perturbed when things like fingers were left carelessly on the table. Baz always got unbelievably frustrated when he did things like that. "I do not know how to get home because I neglected to tell you that I have to find the blacksmith's before I can find my way back. It is a route that I have memorized quite well. But it seems... I am... in trees. Is that your home?" His eyes narrowed as he tried to make out the shabby structure, furthermore failing to make out anything other than a slightly blurry shabby structure. "I will stay and eat your tea and drink your biscuits and, tomorrow, we can find Baz as expected. He tends to not like when I don't come back. Er... did I say drink biscuits? Because that is not what you do with biscuits. Nor tea." he had been pivoting around in place for quite a while now, turning in circles and trying to get in everything he could with the senses he had. It was quiet here except for the dogs he heard farther away. The trees had a way of speaking to him when the wind shifted through the branches. It relaxed him and soon his shoulders hunched and the man was yawning. Where am I again? When he turned around again, he had to do a double take on the figure that stood there. "Who are you? Wait. Never mind. I believe I was offered tea. I have ram... and fingers. But mostly ram. Forget about the fingers."

    R i e n n a .

It was still dark outside when Rienna's aunt Gothel decided it'd be a good idea to wake her up. This woman didn't pour a bucket of cold water on her, didn't scream ,yell no,she did something ten times worse. She bent down close to her niece and stared in her closed eyes ,while her own were filled with curiosity towards the young girl. Her whole life she spend alone,no kids and husband who died at very young age,as a knight in battle. Back to the point tough,Ri was a light sleeper and she was perfectly able to feel when someone's staring at her, even in her sleep. The maiden slowly opened her eyes, eyebrows already furrowed, even before she realized it was her aunt who was so intently staring at her. She rubbed her eyes to clear off the bluriness and slowly sat up on the bed , with a quiet yawn. Goethel stood up from her position and straightened her posture ,before handing sleepy Ri a bucket, filled with seed, food for the chicken she assumed.
"Here,do something useful. Who's going to marry you,if you are lazy like that?" Rienna was still sleepy, but recognized the voice. Tough ,the words made her giggle and press her lips together to avoid bursting with laughter. Marriage? What marriage? This was just about the last thing in the girl's mind right now. She was too young and considered herself a child, defiantly not ready for marriage,or even worse, kids. She had plenty of time to think for family. Rienna slowly stood up and went to take a bath. Now this place wasn't exactly what she was used to,but it still had a shower and a tub she could use as much as she want. Not that she was used to live like a royalty , but her father was a trader, she traveled a lot and was used to better conditions. Her aunt's place was mainly a farm with a small house with three bedrooms and a kitchen. Ri wasn't sure about the other two beds but her own was way too...soft and puffy. She was literally sinking in the matress. She couldn't and wouldn't complain tough, after all she was't that kind of a person and she was to stay here just for a day or two before her,her older brother and Josh her father took off again. Or so she thought.

The maiden was soon done with her bath. She never managed to fully enjoy these and now that she actually got all the time on the world to splash in the water all she wanted ,she didn't feel like loosing time. She jumped out of the tub and dried herself and her hair with the towel that was left for her from her aunt. It waa all and stitched but she didn't care. She slipped on a dark blue sleeveless dress and started braiding her long golden mane. It didn't take too long, because she was pretty used to it by now, after so many years of braiding it ,every single day. It was a little too long to let it be 'free' even for a day. Even braided ,her hair reached her waist. She exited the small house quietly ,trying not to wake anyone up. Something that she failed, being her clumsy self,Ri managed to trip on everything on her way. Even Rusty, the poor old cat ,that of course had to scratch her in return. She muttered something in french and finally exited, carefully closing the door behind before taking a deep breath. The maiden walked towards the chicken cop ,her step filled with confidence. She started feeding the chicken, or at least the ones that were out of the small cop when suddenly, she noticed one of them wasn't moving. At all. Not even at the sight of the food. Rienna pulled brow and quickly grabbed the nearest stick ,before gently poking the seemingly dead creature with it. It wasn't dead tough and the moment the stick touched it's feathers, the small bird jumped, which made the poor girl jump slightly and stumble back as well. "That's it. Enough for today." The girl muttered to herself before turning around to get inside the house again, only to bump in her father's chest.

After a long conversation with her father and aunt ,that lasted a little over two hours, the four of them were on the dock . Before she knew it,she was waving to her younger brother and father and she didn't stop until their ship was out of her sight. So,if she have understand correctly, she was to spend a little more than two days here, with her aunt. A few more months actually, maybe a year. Rianna had carefully listened to her father's explanation about this and from what she could understand,he was doing it for her good. She'd learn a thing or two from her aunt ,including how to take care for a farm. The maiden snapped out of her thoughts when she suddenly felt a cloth being handed to her. She slowly looked down to see a dark, almost black cloak ,folded along with a few coins. She quickly looked at Gothel with clear confusion in her eyes "You don't have to use the hoodie if you don't want to,but cover yourself a little, you draw too much attention. Go on a small walk, buy yourself something and don't get lost. I'll be waiting back home. " with that, the older woman left. Ri sighed inaudiably and took the cloak on her dress ,before movig her braid on side. She started walking away from the dock and back in the town, curiously eyeing each building.

xxxxx۵ Blaze wasn't necessarily a "people person," but she did enjoy the company of those she found pleasurable. The problem was more that she didn't find a lot of people interesting enough to hold a good conversation with them. Not many were able to follow her heavy sarcasm and teasing. That's generally all that came from her mouth. Knowing how much some people despised the carefree types was a hard lesson to learn. A whole bunch of pain followed before she realized the truth to the human's ways. Whenever others didn't fancy her attitude towards life, they by default avoided any kind of conversation with her. Part one of why she lead such a secluded and quiet life.

Well, I wouldn't say quiet. She does have ten dogs.

Her mouth peak into a grin as the strange man once again began to speak. She shrugged, knowing that her hair was a mess. She had been riding all day, so it had puffed around and tangled. It ended up more like a perm than hair after a day's worth of running around, and she figured that it didn't taste like gum drops or sugar plums.
"If you ever decide to ride on my beast again, I'll tie up my hair for ya." Blaze suggested, though by the sound of it, this guy wasn't going to be taking her offer of a ride any time soon. She perked up whenever he decided to stick around. Company was always craved. She turned and opened the door, leaving it wide just in case he couldn't distinguish the different between the wood panels and the empty space. She wasn't too sure how blind he really was, and it didn't even cross her mind to ask. Lighting up the fire took only a few seconds before she looked back to the man. "You can drink your biscuits however you want, pretty boy," she chuckled and set the prepped kettle on the iron bar above the fire. "And the blacksmith's? Yeah I've been there. I can take you if you'd like. He's quite the handsome fellow, anyways. I've been meaning to go search his house for anything useful, actually. While you talk to him, or whatever, I'll probably be in the back stealin' his stuff like the rebel I am." She rubbed her hands together in a mysterious way, rolling her eyes at her own actions.

As she stood, she grinned as she recalled the only man that's ever made an actual impression in her mind. He was probably the most sexually attractive man in the Kingdom's lands. Blaze had particular interests in men of color, but this certain one in particular was the best of every world. The pair hadn't shared any words during their brief meet, so his voice was sadly something she couldn't pinpoint. Anything she tried just sounded wrong. He had been working, making something. She was trotting past or else might have been able to see the creation within his grasp. If he was talented or not, she had yet to find out. The blacksmith had briefly looked up, she had already been staring at the wonderful glories of the shirtless man and sent him a wink. Then she was gone. A faint memory, if that, within his mind. But damn, he was so hot, the memory was clear for her. Sexy people, along with the interesting ones like Zev, earned a special place in her mind, and that was just something that wasn't ever going to change.

As the kettle filled with water began to heat up, she pulled the dough she'd had rising from a cabinet. While she talked, Blaze took globs of the dough from the small container and put them on a sheet pan. It'd take a while for the biscuits to be ready since she wasn't planning on having a dining partner, but it was better than nothing. She looked up at the pair of cloudy eyes with her teeth biting on the inside of her lip in an off smile.
"Want me to go get one? Of the dogs?" she asked him after a beat. Her eyes narrowed in a slight suspicion at his ending statement, though she found humor in the fact that he had freaking fingers. "Dude, whose fingers do you have? Oh excuse me, "ram." The dogs'll eat them if you have nothing to do with them, honestly. They're savages. Especially Captain, he can be a real arse but if you give him a treat he'll be your best friend." So, totally denying the fact that this strange man had fingers for some reason, Blaze offered up her dog to take care of them. Well... It wasn't the first time that particular dog would have eaten human appendages. Let's just say, he wasn't a fan of many people and he really let them know that. Blaze finished putting the dough on the tray, walking over to the fire and slipping it over the flames. It was satisfying to know that she could at least make a simpleton meal of biscuits.

    Evangeline Walker
Age: 19 ; Location: Castle ; Tags: Chase, Adoniram ; Crush: open ; Role: The Princess

xxx Evangeline nods in response, remembering hearing of the one of the knights having an incident. Normally incidents would not be tolerated, in her father's rule however. Evangeline bit her lip at the though of her father. He was a just man, who ruled well in her eyes. Though he did have many faults. Faults such as not willing to listen when she needed him to, or the fact he played little attention to her. No matter though, she saw her father handle situations she couldn't even fathom. Such as creating treaties with neighboring kingdoms, or handling executions... She never fancied those. For one they were incredibly disgusting, and frankly she had a weak stomach. She never understood how her mother could put up with seeing so many. With the thought of her mother in her mind Evangeline straightens up more. They are going to be back.. They're going to return...They aren't dead....

xxx Evangeline could feel the smile on her face slip a bit and immediately she pushes the thought of her parents disappearance away to respond to Sir Braddock. Though she holds her response when she follows his gaze. Her eyes land on her brother who now stands behind them. She turns to face her brother now, "Good Morning brother, I hope you slept well... We are do to converse with the royal council soon. Please do not be late...assuming you are going somewhere this early in the morning?" It wasn't that she doubted her brother, but she knew his habits of disregarding his duty as prince at times. And frankly she found it unfair that she had to endure sitting in front of the royal court as the only female while he gallivanted around as he pleased.

xxx Evangeline returns her attention to Sir Braddock now feeling bad not responding to him right away as she should have, "I'm glad to hear that the knight injured is recovering well. Please to make sure to inform him, that I anticipate his return to our ranks soon. Thank you for keeping me updated " Her smile was smaller than before as the thoughts of her parents came back to mind. She knew that her responsibilities must come first so escaping into the forest was something she could not do. However, a small walk around the castle grounds would work just fine for the short amount of time she had before meeting with the council. So now she had told Sir Braddock the truth. She releases her hands now letting them rest on the side of her as she waited for either of them to respond.

A faint smile eases its way onto his face as Sir Braddock calls out his name. "Rats! Foiled again!" Oh well, maybe he could use his charming ways to get him out of this one. "Me . . . late? Surely you jest, fair sister!" he said, his brown eyes seeming to spark as he smiled. " As for the high council, don't you think they could do without you for one day? You work too hard. Why don't you take the day off, explore the kingdom, get to know your people and so on?" he suggested, wondering if she would actually take him up on his offer. Evangeline seemed to always be busy with something related to the kingdom, always stressing about being the perfect monarch. Adoni, however, had a more laid back personality. Sure, he could run the kingdom if needed, hadn't he been trained in such matters? Since his schooling had been strict, he relished those few fleeting moments of freedom.

Freedom, the state of being unburdened from rules and laws. It seemed as he grew older, the more this word meant to him. He was by birth a ruler, but also a prisoner of etiquette and social standing. However, when he was in the woods, everything seemed to change. For nature is no respecter of persons. It will just as easily take the life of a peasant as well as a king. This was to him freedom incarnate.

As he was thinking such great thoughts, a commotion began at the drawbridge. A group of six knights came cantering across the drawbridge and into the bailey, their mounts covered in lather and foam. The knight's noble steeds looked almost as though they couldn't take another step, each panting as if the very air they breathed had been sucked out of them. The men slowly dismounted and looked around for their commanding officer. One, with an arrow lodged in his shoulder, was helped away by servants and led into the medical ward.
"Out chasing the red-headed bandit again, I suppose." he said, to no one in particular. Of all the things related to running a kingdom, military maneuvers seemed to interest him the most.
